Speaker 2 (00:11):
Time and time me time and time to time again.
And some motivation you motivation you hi doing? I did
it is me? It was a your bird to morning
final and yes bye, got my gosh, it's motivation you Hi?
How you doing? How you been? I found this audio
clip for you. I found this audio clip for you
because I heard it and I thought of you. I
really thought of you. I played it three or four times,
(00:32):
and I'm like, yes, you need to hear this, you
really need to hear this. I'm gonna play it right now.
Well blah blah blah. On the other side, here we go. No,
pull the video up because it's.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
One of my favorite.
Speaker 2 (00:44):
No.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
Fear is going to be a player in your life.
You get to decide how much you can spend your
whole life imagining ghosts, worrying about the halfway to the future.
But all there will ever be is what's happening here
and the decisions we make in this moment, which are
based in either love or fear. My father could have
been a great comedian, but he didn't believe that that
(01:06):
was possible for you, and so he made a conservative choice.
He said, you got a save job as an accountant.
So when I was twelve years old, he was let
go from that safe job and our family had to
do whatever we could to survive. I learned many great
lessons from my father, not the least which said, you
could fail and what you don't want, so you might
(01:27):
as well take a chance of doing what you love.
Speaker 2 (01:29):
Love. Guys, what you think? That was a little clip
from the Joe Rogan podcast. It was the Jim Carrey
commencement address. Jim Carrey. Yeah, that Jim Carrey, stand up
comedian movie actor, I mean uber famous, very very successful actor.
Holy cow, Jim Carrey. And what did you talk about?
(01:52):
He talked about that thing that keeps some of us
from ever reaching our full potential, from our full potential.
And what is it? It's the fear. It's fear. And
the fun thing is the funny thing is is that
we could we could give into the fear and not
try to reach our goals, not try to become the
(02:12):
best version of ourselves, not try to become something better
and stronger for not only for ourselves, but for those
around us, because, let's face it, sometimes when we reach
our dreams, it affects not only us, but it affects
the so many circles that surround us. It could affect
so many people if you just reach your dreams, if
(02:36):
you just try to reach your goals, if you just
try to reach and become your full self, your full potential,
and the only thing holding us back from doing it
is fear because we don't want to fail. Oh my gosh,
what if I fail? What if I stumble? What if
I fall? What if I don't succeed? But in that
(02:58):
story we just heard from Jim Carrey, Jim Carrey's own
father had a dream, had a goal, could have become
this great thing. So he chose something safe, and he
still stumbled and fell and fall. So, like Jim Carrey said,
if you're gonna if you're gonna fail, if you're gonna fall,
(03:18):
why not fail and fall and reach your full potential
and reach your goals. We only get one time around
this uh, around the sun. We only get one crack
of this thing called life. So why not try to
become the best you you can be? Why succumb to fear? Guys,
(03:43):
whatever your dream is, whatever your goal is, whatever you
want to do, do it and don't let fear dictate
on how great a life you can have on how
great an effect you can have on yourself and those
around you, and the people you may never know you
(04:05):
may touch and also bring them some happiness and some success. Guys,
thank you so much you join me again this week.
