great little audio clip from Brad Holmes. Brad Holmes, if
you don't know who he is, he's a very very
successful general manager in the NFL, general manager of the

NFL's Detroit Lions. And man, they were built to be
a beast, and this is the gentleman that built the beast.
Brad Holmes. Check out what he's got to say about
hard hard. It's a topic of a little commencement address
that I found. I think you'll find it very very insightful,

motivational and someone we could talk about. On the other side.

Life is hard, but you've already heard that. What I
heard a few years ago was a poem titled Choose
your Heard. It goes like this, marriage is hard, and
divorce is hard. Choose your heart. Obcity is hard, Being
fit is hard. Choose your heard. Being in debt is hard.

Being financially disciplined is hard. Choose your herd. Communicating is hard.
Not communicating is hard. Choose your hard. When I heard that,
it hit me like a ton of bricks. However you
slice it, whichever path you choose, it's going to be hard.

on his commencement address the little segment right there it's
called hard hard. He's not wrong. Life is hard, speaking
of which I've now re recorded this little segment of
this episode twenty five times. It's hard, It's hard. I

want to expound upon his message so much because it's
motivational and it's inspirational, and its something we should all
consider almost every day. That life is hard. But the
great thing about life, even though it's hard as hard
for all of us, that life is not predetermined. The

choices have not been made for you or you or me.
The power always has lied with us. We get to choose,
we get to determine, we get to write the story
of our lives. We have always had that choice, that ability.

(03:00):
It's just the fact that it's hard. But the great
thing is we have the choice and the power to
choose the heart. So choose your heart. Choose your heart,
Choose wisely and realize the decisions that you make today
or this hour could determine the path you take. And

if you make a bad decision, you can always choose
to change. You can choose your heart. So I want
to leave you with that. Life is hard, it's hard
for all of us. The great thing is is we
have the choice, the choice to choose our heart. It's
