Speaker 1 (00:11):
Hey guys, time and tell me time and time and
time again. It's not for motivation you motivation to you Hi,
How you doing?
Speaker 2 (00:16):
Hi?
Speaker 1 (00:16):
Ben? It is me it is you're bead marathon or
in this by got my gosh, it's motivation you Hi,
How you doing? Hi? A bit I found this cool
little audio clip. I found this great lited audio clip
from none other than Yankee great Derek Jeter. It's about
failure and about what you need to know about failure.
(00:37):
That's blah blah blah. On the other side, here we
go failure.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
Failure is essential. If I can promise you one thing
for certain, you will fail. The bigger the dream, the
bigger the risk. What's the price if you don't take
the risk, if you don't commit to the dream, you
might end up overmatched. But maybe you won't. I failed publicly.
(01:04):
I failed miserably. There were days I literally cried because
I was so bad. My first season as a professional,
I made fifty six errors. And for the non baseball fans,
that's hard to do intentionally, and that's also not funny.
(01:27):
But you me, every one of us has to learn
to deal with failure. I wouldn't have had the success
without the failures. It's your job to make sure that
a speed bump doesn't become a roadblock.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
Success.
Speaker 2 (01:46):
It's hard, That's why we celebrate. That's why Champagne has
sprayed all over the locker room after winning a world series.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Guys, what's said? What's it said? He's not wrong, He's
not wrong. You, me and everyone need to deal with failure.
Need to deal with failure, and not just deal, but
keep your ears open, your eyes open, your mind open,
and listen to the lesson that failure is trying to
(02:19):
teach you. You're trying to do something you've never done before.
You're trying to do something that is hard and difficult,
to be successful, to be more, and along that way
you're gonna stumble and fall. You're going to fail. Failure
is life's greatest teacher. Failure is there to teach you
a lesson on how to attain that thing, on how
(02:42):
to be that thing, on how to be more and
how to be stronger, and how to be better. You
need to learn the lesson Failure is just a speed
bump along the path to success. But you will only
get to success if you learn the lesson that the
speed bump is trying to teach you. That's what failure is.
(03:03):
Failure is a teacher. It tells you that, hey, you
need to do this better, You need to try this differently,
you need to be stronger here, you need to try
harder here. That's what failure is, because that thing you're
trying to achieve is hard. That thing you're trying to
do is difficult, and it should be hard. It should
(03:24):
be difficult because if it's not hard or difficult, it's easy.
And if it's easy, everyone would be able to do
it and it would have no value. Failure is life's
greatest teacher. Learn the lesson that failure is trying to
teach you. Make sure failure is just a speed bump
and not a dead end. Learn the lesson that it's
(03:48):
trying to teach you. Get back up. Try it again,
but try it better, try it smarter, try it stronger,
try it differently. Guys, thanks so much for joining me
again this week. I'm the beard of marathon. This motivation
you dodd y'all real soon do in the
