(00:00):
There's this saying out here that youshould let your haters be your motivators.
But you know, as we're endingtwenty twenty three, one thing that really
I am sticking to this is thebar. This is my standards. I'm
not focusing on a hater. Youonly get this life one time. Why
must I put in all my effortsto impress somebody that I can't really impress.

(00:25):
And even if you did impress them, you would never know it because
they would never tell you. So, no, haters are not my motivators.
I'll tell you what is my goal, my purpose, and my responsibilities.
Those are my motivators. I'm justsaying, hi, everyone, welcome
back to motivation in five minutes orless. As you can see by that

(00:48):
title, I am here to encourageyou guys to not let your haters be
your motivators. And you can tellby the sound bite and if you was
listening in you hear what my threemotivations are. And that is my goal,
my purpose, and my responsibilities. And I am encouraging you guys to
find what your true goals are, what your purpose is, what's your responsibilities

(01:14):
and strictly focus on that. Don'tlet anything penetrate those things to where your
focus is broken or misdirected, andthen next thing, you know, the
results that we're looking for and workingtowards are delayed because we are distracted to
me, trying to prove anything tothe naysayers, trying to show off or

(01:41):
flex for people who have come acrossyou in a negative manner. I feel
like it's such a waste of timeand misdirected energy. Reason is too,
It's because I don't believe in givinganything valuable to a person who does not
value me, or to a situationthat does not value me. And a

(02:06):
lot of people are getting this right. I've seen so many people over the
years who have distanced themselves from negativityand they're just focused on their work.
They're just focused on their home life, they're just focused on their healthy relationships.
Now, this doesn't mean that wecannot get along with people who disagree

(02:27):
with us, people who don't likeus. I have had many instances,
even when I was a kid.I always go back to this one case
of this young lady that I wentto church with. I was very young,
I want to say, maybe twelvethirteen years old, and she came
into the bathroom one day and shesaid, you know what, Monica,
I don't really like you. Andwe had that exchange, and I was

(02:50):
telling her and said, I don'treally like you either, which truthfully,
I don't think I had a problemwith her, but basically in my response,
it was like, I'm cool thatyou don't like me. And ever
since that day forward, we werealways cordial. We were always greeting each
other, Hey, how are youdoing. I'm doing good. You're good,
Yo, I'm good, and wewill move on. I never worked

(03:13):
to try to impress her, andas I think on my life, I
am very very happy about some ofmy experiences when I were younger, was
younger because it helps you to copewith certain things as you're getting older.
Which, hey, you parents outthere, if you're not already, teach
your kids these things. Teach themhow to properly respond when someone is letting

(03:35):
them down, or when someone doesn'tlike them, or when someone is seemingly
putting them down. Teach them howto refocus their minds on something that's productive
that will help them get through thatof hohose to focusing on the situation and
the person. And that's what I'mencouraging you, guys, to do here
today. Do not focus on thosethings that are really going to distract you

(04:01):
from your goal, from your purpose, from your responsibilities. Let's spend a
lot more time putting in the effortto focus on what is possible in our
lives, what we can achieve andaccomplish, and let's get up every single
day and do that. Will weget it perfect all the time? No,

(04:24):
this is not about perfection, butit's about what we're doing the majority
of the time to reach that goal. So that is it, you,
guys, for my motivation in fiveminutes or less. I hope this helps
you, guys to refocus your energyand your time into what matters until the
next time. Chat soon.
