In my view, the Government Shutdown of 2025 is a strategic move by the left to create talking points against President Trump and the Republicans, arguing that they should not hold office or make decisions. As American citizens, we find ourselves pawns in a chess game, with daily maneuvers designed to keep our expectations and mentality about our country low. As Matthew 12:25 says, "A house divided against itself cannot stand." Let's talk about it!

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Hi, everyone, Welcome back to another episode of Motivation Zone.
It is your host, Harmonica Maiz. Super excited to be
here with you guys, and we're gonna dive into the
topic of this government shut down, which is a hot mess.
And as of this podcast, we have already went out
to vote for the mid term elections. And when I

(00:20):
tell you, I have no doubt in my mind that
this government shut down is a political move on the
side of the Democrats to win back some cool points
and argue that Trump is not doing his best for
the American people. I believe ten thousand percent that is
the reason why the government is still shut down. So

(00:41):
we're having pride issues, we're having issues with people wanting
to go down in history as certain things. And one
thing I can respect about Donald Donald Trump, and I
voted for him. That's no secret. Super happy I did,
because there's no way I would have voted for one
hundred and seven day Comma alone. But one thing I

(01:02):
can respect about Trump is he's not necessarily trying to
forge a history for himself. I believe if Trump wanted
to be mister popular, he would already be doing the
popular thing. I do believe as a business owner, an
entrepreneur himself, someone who has had to balance a budget,

(01:23):
somebody who has had to make certain decisions to make
sure that his businesses are flourishing the way they have
been before. He went into politics for whatever only God
knows the reasons and the callings. Okay, because if I
was Trump, I would be like, nope, I'm good. But
he went for it anyway, and that's when Trump's reputation

(01:47):
began to take the biggest hits. Yes, prior to him
going into office as president, he did have some complaints
from employees, but those complaints were never proven to be accurate.
Things are gonna be said about the rich and the famous,

(02:08):
and we have to learn how to look things up
and know what's really real and what people are making
up because they're looking for a payday. And Trump is
not exempt from that, having happened to him back then.
He's also not exempt from being someone who was wrong either.
And I'm pretty sure he's made some employees mad, maybe

(02:31):
made some terrible decisions in his businesses. I'm sure of it.
We all have. But at the same time, I can
tell you right now, with as unpopular as Trump is
amongst so many on the left and the Democratic Party
and the way they lie on this man, I can
tell you he's staying in it for more than reputation

(02:53):
at this point. So with the Democratic Party, they took
such a huge hit with the election twenty twenty that
now they're trying to win back their parties respect or
loyalty or trust. I don't know what it is, but
that's the reason this government is still shut down. So

(03:14):
let's talk about a fact here. The Republican Party passed
a bill and wanted to vote yes on the bill
and did called the clean CR. The clean CR keeps
the government spending in priorities as they are, which means
that before the government shuts down, the clean CR would

(03:37):
have kept everything in place, every budget that currently stood
as is while they negotiated the new budget. Unfortunately, this
clean CR bill did not pass to keep the government
open because the Democratics voted no against the clean CR. So,

(03:59):
based on white House dot gov, this is some of
the information that's been put out here regarding the Democratic shutdown.
It says here Democratic leader Senator Chuck Schumer and his
allies have made a political calculation that's shutting down the
federal government to fund healthcare for illegal immigrants and past

(04:21):
some additional spending bills is good politics. So staying right
there on that paragraph, they're addressing the healthcare for illegal immigrants,
which has been funded by who, the American government, which
is funded by who, the American taxpayers. So right now,

(04:46):
I saw an article where you're talking about about forty
two million people losing SNAP benefits. You're talking about forty
two million people who are on SNAP who are American citizens.
And we think about what poverty, What really brings poverty
into a country or on a person, and usually that's

(05:08):
the inability to maintain a certain financial income, to take
care of everything that's needed, and to pay things on time.
So then what happens is when you cannot, those things
lapse and you go into debt with us as Americans.
And I know this because I've been an American all
my life. There is a hole that you get sucked

(05:31):
into just being an American. Being an American taxpayer means
you're paying on the goods and services that you're purchasing.
You're paying on the property taxes of any home that
you've purchased, You're paying federal and state taxes, and these
things are deducted from your paychecks. Back when oh, I

(05:52):
said Biden, I meant Obama passed Obama Care, it was
a huge thing, a huge issue. You with a lot
of business owners who were struggling with this rule where
you had to enroll in Obamacare or you would have
received a penalty on your taxes. Well, there must have
been someone really behind the scenes fighting to not implement

(06:16):
that penalty, because by the time Trump got into office,
he demolished that penalty all together. It no longer exists.
But I know some business owners who paid yearly at
least two to three thousand dollars because they did not
enroll in Obamacare. And so I've also I remember this

(06:40):
young lady on the Tatoo pollard and she was very
upset because she was getting penalized for not having Obamacare.
And the thing about Obamacare, some may argue, well, you know,
it may have been cheap to just go ahead and enroll,
but for some people it wasn't. It was still very
much expensive. That is a comment that the Republicans have

(07:02):
made recently, which is very true. Obamacare was not affordable. Yes,
it was available to everyone, but it was not affordable
for everyone. So just having to come out of pocket
that amount of money monthly was taking a big chunk
out of people's budgets. So the more the American people

(07:23):
we are penalized for the decisions of political parties, political
governments that are making these decisions, the more we're having
to come out of pocket for that, the worse it
is for us. Because we're having to work constantly, we're
having to get out and earn more and more, which

(07:43):
the more you earn, the more they take. And that's
another true story right there, right unless you're finding little ways,
and there are little loopholes that Trump and many other
business owners have found that you have to move a
certain way in order to not be taxed as much.
But if you're not versing that, then you're just earning

(08:04):
just to pay the government for all of these decisions,
including free health care for illegal immigrants. So the Democratic
Party is saying, keep the border open, keep free health
care for illegal immigrants, do not change these things. And
we're sitting here like, how are we're supposed to earn
as a country? How are we supposed to not enter

(08:26):
into poor economic states and statuses if we continue to
go this route? Right? And so another thing Trump wants
to do is he wants to penalize major American corporations
who are taking their business overseas and making money and

(08:47):
bringing those products back over here and charging Americans so
much just to purchase that product or service. So Trump
is saying, if you guys stop doing this, we're going
to give you more money to keep your business here.
Not only that, those companies bringing their businesses here I've

(09:09):
heard and I want to say, I'm trying to remember
what company was forgiving guys, because I do not remember,
But there was a company I heard recently who is
deciding to build factories over here, and I'm thinking it
was a car company, but I could be wrong, But
there are some factories coming back to America. And back
in the day when factory production and coal mining and

(09:33):
mining for you know, different materials and earth materials that
were valuable existed, the economy was booming and thriving. And
so when you're talking about the calculation of keeping an
open border, providing what's free to those coming into the border,

(09:53):
not implementing anything concerning our American companies doing businesses overseas,
not implementing any terrors for them, importing goods over here.
All of these things add up to being what poor
and broke, and it's unsustainable. Something has to be reevaluated

(10:15):
here and done better for the American people. I don't
believe for two minutes that the Democrats care about the
American people at all, and I wish I had the proof.
I don't of Democrats simply lining their pockets by telling
whatever company or individual that they'll support their idea of

(10:36):
things just so they can get paid. I have no
doubt in my mind these things happen all the time.
But the government needs to be opened back up. And
if if the Democratic Party cared about that, the clean
cr would have been passed. So let's continue on here.
The article on white House dot gov continues to read

(10:57):
and I'll share this guys in a link in the
descriptions so you can read it for yourself. Also go
deeper than that and continue doing your own research. Don't
just listen to these political news outlets. It's just a
hot mess out here and very biased in many ways
and on both sides. Okay, so let's continue on it,
says I don't get it. I'm not sure the American

(11:19):
people will agree that they need to cut the government
funding so that the Democrats can get in anything that
they want to pass on the bill, so then it
continues on. The Republicans have offered the clean c R,
which is a continuing resolution that keeps the government spending
in priorities as they are. No increases, no cuts, just

(11:40):
keeps the government operating while the Congress negotiates a new budget.
Sounds reasonable, but the Democrats say no. They want a
backroom deal to fund some of their leftist priorities in
exchange for the seven Democrat votes needed to pass any
continuing resolution. That's right, because the Senate rules that the

(12:04):
Democrats have to put up only seven votes along with
all the Republicans to keep our government functioning. But it
is all about politics for the Democrats. Billionaire liberals who
hate Trump more than they care about America are willing
to fund every and any anti Trump effort across the country.

(12:27):
Doesn't matter if the policies are good or bad, if
Trump support them. The Democrats are a hard no stopping
illegal immigration. The Democrats are a no keeping boys out
of the girls' locker rooms. The Democrats are in no
stopping transgender gender mutilation of children. The Democrats are a

(12:49):
known stopping the attacks on law enforcement and funding the police.
The Democrats are non stop encouraging killing, violence, and retribution.
For differences of opinions, the Democrats are a no. Supporting
common sense policies. The Democrats are a no. This will

(13:12):
continue as long as America's voters keep elected leftist Democrats
who want to destroy our country as we know it.
Every Democrat is voting with the left wing leadership of
their party. There are no moderate, common sense Democrats willing
to stand up to AOC or Bernie Sanders of their

(13:34):
progressive wing of the Democratic Party. Now, I don't know
how they wrote that. Let me reread that. It says
Bernie Sanders of the Progressive Okay, got it. I read
that wrong. It says here that there are no Democrats
willing to stand up to the AOC and Bernie Sanders
of the progressive wing of the Democratic Party. They did

(13:55):
write that kind of funny, but you guys get what
it's saying. And so I do believe that the Republicans
need our vote as well. But I do believe there
is a strong difference between who is really trying to
move the needle as far as getting America back on
Trump on Trump on track to really being wealthy versus

(14:22):
those who are in a popularity contest, and they just
simply want the votes because they want to continue to
support those who they've made promises that they will continue
to support their ideas as long as money is funneling
into their campaigns or their pockets or whatever the case
may be. Because these political individuals on the left not

(14:45):
having the same business history as Donald Trump, someone who
has lost a considerable amount of money since he's become
president and then left office and ran and became president again.
He's not earning more money, unfortunately. But these leaders in
the Democratic Party have started off with nothing and then

(15:08):
you look at how much their net worth is today
and they are getting paid millions from who and for
doing what you know what I mean. And so these
are the things to really look out for, is priorities.
What does the left wing want and what does the
conservative want? I believe ten thousand percent that Trump being

(15:31):
the mail that he is the person who's been in
business as long as he has, I believe ten thousand
percent he wants to wake up and say that the
American people in the American country is as rich and
popular and healthy as people allege it to be, knowing

(15:52):
that that is not true, but that is what he's
fighting for. Before he got into office, our border was
out of control. You should never open your door with
your valuables to let anyone in without checking who they are.
And for us, as the American people, we cannot travel
anywhere and get that same treatment. We have to get passports.

(16:15):
We have to show our government issued ideas to prove
that we are American. We have to give them our
birth certificates in order to get passports and get approved.
Then we have to get photos done to submit with
that passport. And not only that, we have to pay
to get a passport. I'm still tripping out that we
even have to pay to get passports. That's weird to me.

(16:36):
So you're telling me if I don't get a passport,
I don't pay to get one, then I can't leave
and go anywhere outside of the country, outside of the
US without it. I can't do it, So that means
I'm stuck here. I feel like a passport should be
something that's free to every American, especially if you've been
working in paying taxes. Now, I would say, if you

(17:00):
want to put an age restriction on it. Say, okay,
you know, we'll issue out everyone a passport by the
time you reach the age of twenty five. Then that
means that you have worked at the age of eighteen
or whatever, and you've probably paid some taxes over the years,
and boom, you're twenty five years old. Let's go ahead

(17:20):
and get you a passport. That should be a rule.
I'm sitting over here, like, why are we paying for
passports now? Mind you, thankfully, when you get a passport,
you're able to use it actively without an expiring for
ten years. But a free passport, I'm not saying it
needs to go ten years before inspiring. Maybe you know,

(17:41):
it's a little bit less and then you pay for
something that's longer. But every American should have the option
to leave the country whenever we want by a certain age,
and it should be free free to us to do so.
If this is going to be a constant conversation of
migrants being able to come over here and get free
resources that we're being taxed on, we're paying that as

(18:03):
the American people. So it's just not making sense to me,
and me being a business owner myself, I'm like, the
math is just definitely not mathing. And there's no way
any of these Democrats can say every single thing that
Trump has put out there that needs to be changed
is false, and that all of the things that were

(18:25):
currently happening prior to Trump becoming president was something that
was going to be beneficial and helpful to Americans. Cities
were struggling. New York was struggling, Chicago was struggling, Illinois
was struggling as a state overall because it was a
sanctuary city sanctuary states that they were able to send

(18:47):
these migrants into who had no place to go when
they came in here, who had no idea to show
who they were. So now they're having to put these
individuals up in shelters and actually pay for them to
eat every day just to keep their well being in
check and keep them alive until we figured out what
to do with these people. And while that is the

(19:10):
right thing to do, it's just not something we should
be doing, which means the border should not be open
to any and everybody, and there should be a due process,
just like it's a due process for US Americans to leave,
and that's just what it is. And I use that
as an example because that was one of the craziest
things happening just last year, just twenty twenty four. Now

(19:35):
the border is quiet, and I think I heard reported
that there was like maybe one hundred migrants that had
come into the border in a long time since Trump
took office here in January. That's a lot less than
the thousands that were entering every single day. And not

(19:55):
only were they entering every single day, there wasn't enough
border patrol or in law enforcement to help with the situation,
so they were understaff. They would even pay to get
more staff out there to handle all the people that
was coming in. So now you have all of these
individuals who may be good people and decent people, or

(20:16):
who may be criminals coming in just going through the
cracks because there wasn't enough people to check on them
and make sure that everything was clear, that we know
who they are when they come in. It's one of
the biggest issues we've had, and thank god, it's one
of the biggest issues that's being dealt with. So for me,

(20:37):
I've been telling people I would have voted for Trump
just based off him declaring there are only two genders,
because the whole gender argument was giving me just a
sense of am I losing my crap? You know? And
when you know something is sane and right and righteous
and you're out here having to argue it, it's just

(21:00):
not a good feeling. So I would have voted for
Trump just on that alone, But it was so much
more that he discussed in his rallies and when he
was debating. I watched the debates. I watched Trump versus Biden,
Trump versus Kamala. I watched what everyone was saying. I

(21:20):
listened to these people. For myself, I tried to give
Kamala a benefit of the doubt, that her brain was
rotating in the right direction and that she was really
caring about the American people. I never got that from
her ever. I just didn't. And recently, discussing with individuals
living abroad and living in other countries, I hear the

(21:44):
argument of the rules that other countries have set and
how everyone has to follow those said rules. But at
the same time, I don't feel like that's a bad
thing at this present time, because everything that's going on
in America right now is all over the place. We're divided,
and as the scripture says, I'm taking it to the

(22:05):
Bible for sure, A house divided against itself cannot stand
this division. Anybody can do whatever, anybody can say whatever,
And it's just not a set core idea, a core goal,
a core standard. We're very weak, very vulnerable at this
current time. And if our enemies sniff out enough issues

(22:31):
to stand against us today current state, they probably win.
Of course, we have military, we have our weapons and
all that, but how long and how far does that
get you? War? When it was raised against certain individuals,
it was for many different reasons, including depleting funds. I

(22:54):
don't even know if America ourselves could afford a war.
But yet during the administration, we was constantly sending money
over to Ukraine to fight against Russia. I mean, it
was just a mess. And none of it should be happening.
None of these things should be going on, and it's

(23:14):
a very unfortunate thing. And I have my ideas on
the whole war between Ukraine and Russia, but that's a
whole another topic for another day, and I'm gonna do
a little bit more reading up on it myself. But
I have my thoughts and ideas. But these men in power,
women in power, we have to make better decisions and

(23:35):
we need to stop picking at one another over ego.
And just like I feel like with Putin and Zalyinsky,
there's a lot of ego there on both sides. Zalynsky
won't even back down because he doesn't want to look weak,
you know. And so we're having the same issue with

(23:58):
our Democratic Republic politicians right now, when really it has
to be about what's good for the home, what's good
for the house, and as they do in gambling, the
house always wins. So yeah, you can take your money,
go to your favorite casino, have you a good time.

(24:20):
But I guarantee you this that casino will make sure
it will never go bankrupt. Whoever runs it will make
sure that you're not winning too much and getting too
much that causes their business to fold under. That is
the reason why when you go hit those slots, cast
those bets, play those card games, that is the reason

(24:43):
why there is a winning and losing cycle, and losing
more than winning. But you walk out with your money gone,
and depending on how you budget it out, as long
as you're leaving with something and then give up everything,
you won't leave the casino as a loser either. But
I can guarantee you this that casino that got some

(25:04):
dollars off of you, and they came up that night
more than anybody there gambling, which is another reason why
they don't allow people to come in there who can
count cards and do certain things to manipulate machines and
all that, because it will guarantee they don't win, so
they don't allow it. And that is the reason why

(25:24):
they keep a lookout on how people are winning. How much?
How often do we see this person all the time?
Are they winning all the time and we see them?
That is the reason why they keep a lookout. It
reminds me of the Oceans eleven series where I want
to say it was in the third Oceans eleven where

(25:47):
they was going into the casino in Vegas and the
guy had the machine that could read the body language
and the reactions of a winner to see if it
was genuine or not or if they were faking it
because they knew they were gonna win. And the machine
could tell you their blood pressure, heart rate, all that

(26:09):
good stuff. It could read so many details to let
them know whether it was a genuine win or not,
because that was their way of making sure they wasn't
dealing with someone who was about to come in there
and steal all their money because they knew how the
machines work and they can manipulate things, and so they're
faking winning. Does that make sense? So as a country overall,

(26:33):
we have to be like that. The house has to
be in a winning state all the time in order
to elevate, in order to grow, in order to save money,
in order to be at the top in a real
general sense of helpful to other countries, because we do
have a lot of resources, we are having a good

(26:57):
budget in our income. If we're doing no those things,
then we ensure that no one is coming into our
country taking more than what's necessary for us to continue
to survive. That's just what it is, and that is
even with the terrors. I was happy to hear that
Trump was implementing terrorfs. It's made sense to me from

(27:17):
the day he talked about it. And that is something
else that is a huge conversation with the government and
the American budget when it comes down to implementing terrffs
with these countries, it's saying, we can't allow you to
just come in and continue to import with us and

(27:38):
you're not paying us anything to do this business, which
means that whatever products they're importing over they're able to
do that at little to no cost. But then Americans
are buying those products in their pocketing that income, which
is great for them. And I'm glad somebody's winning. But

(27:58):
the question is whin or are we winning? Currently? Let's
just all of us do this exercise. I believe in
doing exercises now, more and more and more and more,
because we need to start thinking through these things opposed
to just listening to what's being said currently. Right now,
the government is shut down, but let's rewind and go

(28:19):
back to prior to it shutting down thirty five days ago. Okay,
was everything okay? As is? Trump has not changed the
majority of the budget, The snap benefits were still going through.
All of that stuff is in place. The newest things
that he implemented was the tariffs on other countries, which

(28:41):
did not affect the American people whatsoever. Matter of fact,
it was gonna make things better for the American people
because now we're getting more income into our government without
us having to be the ones penalized every time they
want to do something right. So those things are in effect.
Thirty five days ago, what's every thing perfect? Were you

(29:02):
guys good with everything that was going on currently? Are
you finding the best jobs prior to this government shut down?
Are you wanting more companies to bring their production to
America or you want them to continue to work abroad?
Are products more affordable because they're made elsewhere? Will they

(29:25):
be more affordable if they're made here? These are questions
that we need to go through these little exercises and
ask ourselves. These are the questions I'm asking you guys
to think about. Was it better before the government shut down?
If not, what are the changes the government needs to make?

(29:48):
And whatever changes you, as an American citizen sees that
the government needs to make, then you need to look
and see who's discussing and talking about making them. And
in my ten thousand percent of an opinion, I don't
believe that the Democrats are offering enough solutions to make

(30:11):
sure the house is taken care of and in family dynamics,
you guys bringing it home to us. I am gonna
encourage each and ever last one of you, including myself,
to not allow pride to consume us so much that
we're not taking care of home because we want to
just be seen as right or seen as the person
who's made the effort and seen as the person who

(30:33):
made the decision. Share your ideas, listen to other people,
see if there are other great things being placed on
the table, and let's work together to do them. Don't
become this divided, because it is true that that division destroys,
it does not build, and that's just a fact. So

(30:57):
I hope that they open up this government really soon.
I hope that the Democrats get off their high horse
and get over all of this pride and this upset
because they did not win the twenty twenty four election
and Trump wanted by a landslide. I hope that they
get past that and they stop trying to win the

(31:18):
cool points back for their party and literally start listening
to the American people because they have not been this
entire time. Migration, LBGTQ, all these things does not have
the direct play and role on what's going on in
America overall as a country. These are individual things that
can be handled in another way, in a different way.

(31:41):
These are not things worth voting on and fighting for
in a sense of the majority. It's just not That's
my personal opinion. Now, I do want anyone coming into
this country, whether they're from here or not, to live
the best life that they see fit as to the
reason why they're here. The border should remain something that

(32:01):
anyone can come up to who is not from here
and show legal documentation and go through a legal process
to work here, stay here, marry here, do whatever they want.
But let's just do it all things decency and in order.
That's all I'm saying. So that's my thoughts you guys.
I'm gonna leave a link to the article that I

(32:22):
was reading here because there's a lot of other great
information going through this. It is on white House dot gov.
So you best believe know they're not about to tell
you that the Democrats want anything that they are agreeing
upon or to at this point. And that's fine, But
you guys continue to read information that are from good sources,

(32:43):
straight from the horse's mouth. Listen to these political people
you guys are voting for, and literally ask yourself with
your own exercise if you really believe and agree with
what they're saying and their solutions to things. That's another
great thing to do. That's all I'm saying. Listen to
all of them. Send to everybody including Trump because he

(33:03):
is the President of the United States, whether people like
it or not. So you guys, if you have any
comments you want to let me know your thoughts, remember
to keep your comments classing and professional, because it's all
we do over here. I will leave a link where
you can comment to me in the description that I'll
look forward to hearing you from you guys. And until
next time, you guys, take care and we will chat soon.

Rewarded for bravery that goes above and beyond the call of duty, the Medal of Honor is the United States’ top military decoration. The stories we tell are about the heroes who have distinguished themselves by acts of heroism and courage that have saved lives. From Judith Resnik, the second woman in space, to Daniel Daly, one of only 19 people to have received the Medal of Honor twice, these are stories about those who have done the improbable and unexpected, who have sacrificed something in the name of something much bigger than themselves. Every Wednesday on Medal of Honor, uncover what their experiences tell us about the nature of sacrifice, why people put their lives in danger for others, and what happens after you’ve become a hero. Special thanks to series creator Dan McGinn, to the Congressional Medal of Honor Society and Adam Plumpton. Medal of Honor begins on May 28.
