Mocht dat tijdens de laatste triple header niet lukken, dan lijkt een terugkeer naar startnummer 33 voor volgend jaar logisch, maar zo eenvoudig is het niet. Verstappen laat in Vegas namelijk weten dat 3 zijn favoriete nummer is, al blijft het nog even afwachten of de FIA de regels op tijd kan aanpassen voor een eventuele switch. De Nederlander ging verder in op de McLaren-titelstrijd, waarbij hij de ommekeer (met name in negatieve zin met Oscar Piastri) ‘vrij bizar’ noemde.
