You're listening to Living in Spain Podcasts with David Wright.
Speaker 2 (00:17):
Hi, David, right here and welcome to another one of
my podcasts. They are going to be talking to briefly
about Latijha Resort and Spa in Bora Bora, the French Polynesia.
One of the best places I've ever been to in
my life. If you've ever dreamed of staying in a
luxury over water bungalow in the French Polynesia, then Latijha
(00:38):
Resort and Spa should be your very top on the list.
We had amazing time then my WiFi and I a
few years ago and we can't wait to get back
there in one day. It was a very expensive trip indeed,
and from Spain it took us five flights just to
get there. But I can't get over how amazing this
(00:59):
trip was. So I've been to Mexico, I've been to
Punta Cana, Dominican Republic, I've traveled all over Europe, and
I've snorkeled and dived in a lot of these places,
and this was way above anything else we've ever experienced.
We recently spent our holiday there in this tropical getaway.
The lagoon in Latija is crystal clear, and the snorkling
(01:22):
was first class. We swam among hundreds of colored fish
and spotted friendly reef sharks. There's a reef shark trip
we did later on as well, which was also amazing.
I made some videos on this over on my YouTube channel.
There's a YouTube shorts and also a YouTube playlist all
about these experiences we had. You want to check it out.
(01:45):
The videos are amazing. Yes, the result is very expensive,
but worth every penny of it. The service is five
star right from the moment they meet you and greet
you in a reception area. The food is fresh and local,
and although it's a little bit expensive, the actual package,
I think it was one of the most amazing places
(02:07):
we have ever stayed. We chose the overwater bungalow and
we wanted to stay in the water bungalow. That was
one of our main things. We paid around nine hundred
dollars a night and we had three amazing nights down.
Now here's a few tips for it. At Latika. Bring
some reef shoes, you know, all some wet suit shoes
(02:29):
that you can wear in the water when you're walking around.
Weather Coggle is although the beaches are crystal clear white sands,
the reefs. Some of the reefs are a little bit
awkward to walk and could cut your feet. Choose the
lagoon view bungalow that is amazing. The sunsets there are magical.
Also take a boat trip to bor A Boy if
(02:49):
you haven't done that, or the jet ski around boro
or that is one of the excursions. We did the
jet ski one I think it's around two hundred dollars
with a lunch in the water. That was amazing. Just
my wife and I on one jet ski following a guide.
That was something that you really must do. Also a
packed light with a swimwear. When you're on the island,
you don't need a lot really. We were in the
(03:11):
water all the time or around the pool on the beach,
so you really need very basic clothes if you'll stand
on the resort. So Latijha Resort and spa. I would
give it ten out of ten, and I wouldn't give
it lightly that you know, there is other places there.
We did stay in three or four nights in other
places in Borabora and Tahiti, but Latikha is a very
(03:35):
very small island. You can literally walk all the way
round it in about twenty minutes. But it's very very
quiet and there isn't any kids running around things like that,
so this was absolute heaven for my wife and we
loved it. Now you can come and check out more
videos on this on the YouTube channel on my YouTube
channel Latika Resort and spa YouTube channel. Go and check
(03:58):
it out. There some amazing videos.
