Hello and welcome to the newly formated Murder Is My Sign Podcast. It is still very much a true-crime podcast but with the soothing tones of ASMR whispering in your ear. In today's episode, I will be reading an article that describes the differences between Psychopaths and Sociopaths.

I do hope that you not only enjoy the new format of MIMS, but that you also enjoy the new intro and outro music.

Remember to wash your hands, practice social distancing, and to not take things too seriously today.

is called psychopath versus sociopath. Thetwo words are often used interchangeably, but
psychopaths are controlled more by their genesand sociopaths by their life circumstances. Psychopathic

(02:15):
criminals are specially formidable predators because oftheir ability to manipulate people and circumstances coldheartedly
and their own advantage. Their socialcounterparts, meanwhile, tend to lash out

whereas sociopaths are capable of emotion butin limited capacity for empathy relationships. Psychopaths
are unable to form emotional bonds withothers, whereas sociopaths are able to form
emotional bonds with certain individuals under certaincircumstances. Outward appearance, psychopaths appear successful,

(05:46):
intelligent, charming, composed, sincere, and trustworthy, whereas sociopaths appear
irritable, restless, impatient, andhot tempered. Psychopaths and their social skills

(06:10):
are manipulative, deceitful, narcissistic, predatory, and skilled at playing roles,
whereas sociopaths are antisocial, unsophisticated, heedless, and get what they desire by
