but it looks like we've got thingsunder control. So today's stories,
we're gonna be exploring the story ofRobin Hood from an archetypal type of view.
So archetypal comes from the concept ofYoungian theory. Robin Hood embodies an

archetype of the hero. It's oneof the archetypes. There's several of them.
Sometimes they say it does, andit could be more, depends on
what you're reading and you're looking at. It represents the collective, unconscious yearning
for justice, freedom, and socialharmony. We see this whole lot in
characters in movies. He stands againstcorrupt authority, of course, the Sheriff
of Nottingham, and fights with thewelfare of the oppressed. However, he

also has a shadow and the tricksterin him too. In the archetype world,
the Sheriff and Nottingham serves as theshadow archetype in the story of robin
Hood, representing the dark, oppressive, and corrupt aspects of authority. So
you can almost look at the storyof Robin Hood is a composite of us,
right, Some of us will havea hero archetype, a little bit

of it, some of us,all of us have a shadow. To
the degree of each one of thesearchetypes, that's different. We can't really
quantify it per se, but eachone of us has these archetypes and certain
levels, certain degrees, certain sliceof the pie, you can say,
and which one is the bigger slicedepends on you. They're usually exhibited by

your behavior and your personality. It'sjust mind of to makes sure that's clear.
So let's go back to the RobinHood analogy. Here the trickster in
Robert Hood is also there, andit's Robin Hood is cunning and light behavior,
so he's got the archetype of thehero and the trickster. The trickster
again is cunning, challenges and outwitsthe people, especially the shadow, and

bringing light and liberation to the people. If you'll think about the collective unconscious
and the animal, the animal beingthe female archetype representing the feminal and emotional
aspects of Robin's psyche. It symbolizesbeauty and compassion in the intuitive wisdom the
guides robin Hood through his heroic journey. Robin Hood's quest for justice is in

rebellion against injustice can be seen asa journey toward individuation. It's a process
of integrating the conscious and unconscious aspectsof ourselves, which is something we all
strive to do as a young andwill try to help you to do it.
He does this through his actions.He seeks to create a more balanced
and equitable society, such as weall do. We try to balance our

emotions and cognitive reasoning, but hewants to do in a societal level.
There's also symbolism out there in nature. For instance, the Sherwood Forest,
robin Hood's home, represents the naturalrealm of the unconscious. It serves as
a sanctuary for robin Hood and hiscolleagues. The merry Men live in harmony
with nature, embodying a connection tothe primal and instinctual aspects of human existence.

Robin Hood's selfless acts and willingness tosacrifice his own safety and comfort for
the greater good exemplify the concept oftranscending personal desires an ego. By living
in service to others, he movesbeyond individual needs. It becomes a symbol
of hope, inspiration the young intheory is interesting. He provided a framework
to analyze these archetypal patterns and psychologicaldynamics. It allowed me to delve into
