Speaker 1 (00:03):
This is a best of m Z playing the greatest
moments in MZ history since two six.

Speaker 2 (00:14):
Two sixteen. We're starting the year off with some bad news.
Bluebell ice Cream has announced that they did find some
more listeria in their production plants, or at least once
after they just got started back up. I know. And
let's be honest, Bluebell has the best ice cream in
the world. True That vanilla is amazing. Now let's talk

(00:36):
about lasteria. What is listeria. Listeria is a bacteria that
infects humans and other warm blooded animals through contaminated food.
It's a serious disease for humans and like the worst
version of that disease has a fatality rate of twenty percent,
so it's a very serious deal. So with that being said,
we're gonna play a game called ice Cream Roulette. And

(00:59):
you have in front of you a spinner from the
board game Life. I love that game, and careful with
it because it will fly. Yes, yeah, and make sure
you spin it right now. There are ten numbers on
this spinner. I have here in my little studio room,
ten cups, each with one scoop of ice cream.

Speaker 3 (01:16):
Oh.

Speaker 2 (01:17):
One of these cups contains Bluebell ice cream, which may
have listeria. You may you have a twenty chance.

Speaker 3 (01:25):
So if it lands on the number, we got to
eat the.

Speaker 4 (01:29):
Y. Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:31):
This is especially scary for himI because he's diabetic, so
he could die of listeria and sugar overdose. So this
is amazing. So there's only one cup.

Speaker 1 (01:40):
You keep reminding me of two girls one cup.

Speaker 2 (01:43):
Only you would think of that. I love it, Hey,
keep it clean, all right, theod Now when you get
your ice cream, don't eat it. We're gonna eat it
all at the end, okay, and then I will reveal
what number cop has the Bluebell ice cream. You may

(02:04):
not get it, all right? All right?

Speaker 1 (02:07):
For all Latino fans, I know y'all laughing out this
as hard as I am right now, those who had
his open I've never heard.

Speaker 3 (02:13):
I mean, let's play this game.

Speaker 2 (02:17):
Let's be all right, what let's get sick, all right,
himI your first again. Now, Jimi's throw me under the
himI has diabetes part part two, the sequel to diabetes,
even more diabetes, and he is going to either have
the Bluebell ice cream cup or die of blood sugar points.

Speaker 3 (02:37):
They're going to number on this right here, number one.

Speaker 2 (02:39):
You won't know what it is. There's ten, there's ten compossibilities. Yeah,
we won't know, but one, two, three, four, five, Yes,
but you start to eat one, all right, you got
to spin it. You're played life before, so that's not right.

Speaker 3 (02:54):
It's just all right.

Speaker 2 (02:55):
But let's just give it a good spin. Do a
good spin. There you go. Six.

Speaker 3 (03:00):
That was kind of like the Tights the Devil.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
You Devil's number, Chris, it is.

Speaker 3 (03:07):
Oh my god, you weren't lying.

Speaker 2 (03:10):
I love those cups. I gotta find the cup, thank you.

Speaker 1 (03:14):
That's like our budget has increased because those cups are
very nice.

Speaker 2 (03:18):
Michael just got to raise Yeah, MC corporate gave us
all some extra money.

Speaker 3 (03:22):
To trickle down effect. It just doesn't work.

Speaker 2 (03:24):
Yeah, it just stops at Michael, have mercy on my soul.
The himI. Yeah, you don't don't need to get about ounce.
Yeah it's all small. I don't want you to on
the show. That mays. That'd be really bad.

Speaker 3 (03:41):
Every every cup has ice creaming it.

Speaker 2 (03:42):
Yes, every cup has ice cream. Oh just a spoonful,
just a spoonful of steria. Okay, so you should be good.
You might get some poisoning and throw up and stuff.
But you'll you'll be fine in my cup.

Speaker 3 (03:56):
Then, Oh my god, No.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
I don't know. I don't know which one it is.
Spooful Chris, go ahead and spin.

Speaker 3 (04:02):
The wheel right, let's do this? Come on, now, what
is that? It landed on number two and it malfunction.

Speaker 2 (04:10):
Malfunction.

Speaker 3 (04:12):
It got so ten.

Speaker 2 (04:14):
This Life Life spinner.

Speaker 1 (04:17):
Oh there we go, old no man, there, all right,

Speaker 2 (04:25):

Speaker 1 (04:38):
He's just I'm actually looking forward to its coming A
little hungry right now.

Speaker 3 (04:40):
So oh oh it's brown.

When I spilled it all myself, I.

Speaker 2 (05:19):
Was like, oh, my god, it's like leaking, is it?

Speaker 3 (05:22):

Speaker 1 (05:23):
That's not a good sign if it's leaking like it's
like a leakage swamp.

Speaker 2 (05:30):

Speaker 5 (05:37):

Speaker 2 (10:02):
She doesn't believe me. I don't know why hold on? Never,
Why don't please just look and talk about it? Please don't.
I'm so sorry. I don't know what's going on. She
wasn't supposed to hear any of that. Okay, Maybe I
don't know. Maybe this isn't a good time to get this.

(10:24):
I'm sorry.

Speaker 5 (10:25):
You want to just call back at a different time.

Speaker 2 (10:29):
I don't know. Yeah, I guess that would be the
best best.

Speaker 5 (10:33):
Thing to do. Okay, Well I wish shoe look okay, yeah,
hey yeah yeah, I.

Speaker 2 (10:40):
Mean I'll tell you what. Hello twenty sixteen. All right,
let's get to this exciting interview women teasing with James
Ramar Though Ramar, James. Make sure I'm saying his name right, Moss, James?

(11:03):
Is it Rammer? Is it remor?

Speaker 6 (11:05):
James Remer?

Speaker 2 (11:06):
James Remmer? Yeah, we were James Remer. Okay, So let
me set out The interview was a couple of days ago.
He's calling in to promote the appearance of the Texas
Froightmere Weekend, which is but I don't know, some convention
and that we didn't go to. It just happened to
me in Dallas. Rose McGowan was on there and I

(11:27):
wanted to talk to her and meet her in person.
We scheduled James for eight fifteen, Yes, fifteen, So I
Eric and I was be here at seven thirty. Well,
I show up late. Eric's here at seven thirty. I'm
here at seven fifty, so I'm running late and I
haven't had time to eat dinner. I had a bag
like a sandwich and some soup and brought in here,
and I'm literally like ten minutes ago before the interview starts,

(11:49):
and I'm trying to finish up. I have the layout
of the questions in my head, right, I kind of
know where I'm gonna go. I just got to kind
of write it down and look at it. So I'm
sitting here shoving a sandwich down my mouth, typing few Seriously,
I'm here distracting him. He's like in this video's videos
of like this is Michael, look at his name, and
I'm eating a sandwich typing and watching Eric's video. By

(12:12):
some miracle, We're sitting at our mics at eight thirteen,
all ready to go. Yeah, sandwich has done, the soup
is done, my layout is done, We've watched the videos.
Everything is done, magically, an hour's.

Speaker 3 (12:25):
Worth of work.

Speaker 2 (12:25):
He's learned how to pronounce his name. No, we didn't
know that. So we're sitting here and we're going through
vocal exercises. Red leather, yellow leather, red leather. How now,
how now, brown cow raw Ray actually did vocal exercises.
We were just looking around online. Wait yeah, okay, so

(12:46):
then uh, eight fifteen rolls around No James, No James,
Ramon Reamer Rammer. Yeah, And I was sitting here and
talking about what am I going to ask him, you know,
as a because Eric has a unique perspective. I'm just
trying to do the overall interview and try to get
some good, you know questions in there. Some interesting like
I want to ask about Dexter and you know, there's
some rumors that that show might be rebooted or come

(13:08):
back somehow with Michael C. Hall and stuff, So I
wonder if he knew anything on that. I thought that
would be good. People want to know that. And Eric,
I said, as an actor, Eric's an actor, as asbian
one fellow another, Right, I wanted to ask one lesbian
to another thesbian. Right, some deep like you know, questions
that I have that only an actor will know, right,

(13:31):
you know, a working actor. And this guy is like
a character actor. He's been in everything, you know, And
so I thought it'd be very interesting for Eric to
listen to this guy and to ask him questions. So
I'm really excited about this interview. Right, eight fifteen rolls around,
No James. Eight seventeen rolls around, No James, And I'm
starting to get a little worried now because he confirmed
with us that day everything was good to go. So

(13:52):
I started going through the emails and realize they sent
him because I got a confirmation email. I think when
was it Wednesday? And that everything was good to go?
What times and all that stuff, right from your assistant.

Speaker 5 (14:03):
Right.

Speaker 2 (14:03):
I look at the email that she sent to him.
It's got an. I was set on this email. And
I look on it. The numbers wrong, like one digit off.
Really ends. I'm like, oh my god, what's her assistant's fault? Right,
So I email her to get to him, to say, listen,
see him the correct number. You screwed up. You fly it,

(14:25):
you fly it. So she I guess contacted him. I
got two seat again, correct number went out. Now we're
waiting and then we get a phone call. Immediately hangs
out and I don't know this number. So we call
it back, thinking it's James, and this is what happens, James,
how are you doing? This is Michael's a valla. How

(14:47):
are you doing? I'm sorry, we're having all sorts of
phone problems over here, but I think we finally got you.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
Yeah, and I'm in a car now, I tried the
number a while ago, and I'm in a car and
I can't really talk.

Speaker 2 (14:56):
That's fine. Do you want to do you want to
postpone it for a little bit. We've done a half
so okay, how long are you thinking?

Speaker 4 (15:01):
Well, I I'm going to with screening. I'm just don't
think I'm gonna have the availability. That's what I know.
You're number that you guys gave me like four five times.

Speaker 2 (15:11):
Yeah, sorry, they gave you the wrong numbers, the wrong number.
We can we can reschedule, or you can, or we
can do it now. We do it quickly if you
want to do that, it's up to you.

Speaker 4 (15:20):
Well, I'm in a car with other people. Now, do
you guys mind if I do an interview? All right, well,
I'll just.

Speaker 5 (15:25):
Go for it.

Speaker 2 (15:25):
All right, here we go, we'll get to started. James.
I'm looking over your IMDb profile. Is there anything you
haven't been in?

Speaker 4 (15:37):
I I come on, what kind of question is?

Speaker 2 (15:45):
I want to know what you haven't been in? But
then you'll be here forever. But but you have a long,
impressive list on your IMDb which is incredible, and you
have a fantastic voice, by the way, and it looks
like you do a lot of voice work. You like
doing voice work better than than acting. I mean, as
far as it in front of a camera, No, not
at all.

Speaker 4 (16:01):
It's it's kind of ancillary. And you know, kind of additional.
I you know what, man, this isn't a good time
to interview.

Speaker 2 (16:09):
That's fine, okay, all right, you.

Speaker 4 (16:15):
Know the phone problems all that stuff is just kind.

Speaker 2 (16:17):
Of yeah, you're good getting it's just kind of it's
not your.

Speaker 4 (16:22):
Maybe I'll give you a call back in a few minutes.

Speaker 2 (16:23):
This is not good. No, you're good man, I completely understand.
All right, all right, thanks. First off, what is ancillary? Well,
it's kind of ancillary. You managed to ask him to
probably the two questions he never would be able to.
First off, the first question wasn't really a question. It's
an icebreaker. Like I was telling Eric, what do you expect?

(16:44):
I've asked that question numerous times and numerous celebrities. Right, Okay,
I've been with you on a lot of celebrity interviews
that you I've never heard. Yes, what have you not
been in?

Speaker 5 (16:54):
What?

Speaker 2 (16:54):
Basically the answer to that question is what I'm trying
to say is with that question, you been in a
lot of stuff, almost everything I've watched you're in, right,
That's what I'm trying to say. And the correct answer
to that is, well, you know, I've been really blessed
in my career. You're right, I sure have been in
a lot of stuff. You know, I'm fortunate. I get

(17:15):
to do this, I get to do what I love.
Blah blah blah. That's how you start the interview. So
that's what I was starting out with. It wasn't I
didn't want him to legitimately name everything he hasn't been in.
Maybe he's a well, you know what, I haven't been lost.
I wasn't in thirty Rocks Thrones. I haven't been in
Game of Thrones. I haven't been the New Oranges Black, right,

(17:37):
I haven't been any of this. I didn't want him
to answer that question. It was just maybe he's just
a literal person. So he thought, you know, legit, you know,
I think that he just, uh, he's in an awkward position.
I don't know, but anyway, so we let the the
tape was still rolling. We record on the set here.
The tape was still rolling, and Eric and I had
this conversation. Afterwards, I was thinking to myself whenever he

(17:59):
answered the phone and he told you that, like this
wasn't a good time. Yeah, you should have hung it up. No, okay, okay,
I'm sorry. You know, let's me schedule for a different day.

Speaker 5 (18:09):
No.

Speaker 2 (18:10):
I mean he I just thought he meant it was
bad for us, and I'm okay with that. I really
thought he was talking about it being bad for us.
I took it as like I didn't think it was
a bad time for him. I just thought, well, hey,
there's gonna be some background noise, blah blah blah. That's
what I was thinking at that time. Yeah. No, I
was taking it as if like it was just bad

(18:30):
in general. Wouldn't care if it's bad for you, right,
That's how I took it. Like we've had two short
calls on a plane as they were getting ready to fly.
I know, but I felt like very uncomfortable Jonathan Franks.
Franks had to go and answer his gait while he
was on the phone with us. I mean, so, I'm

(18:51):
cool with what it was. He by himself, though I
don't know he had to open the game for somebody. Well,
I mean, in James's offense. I feel him because I
wouldn't want to do interview. Why not in front of
like people. You agreed to do this? Well yeah, but
I mean if you were going to be in a car,
why did you agree to do it this time? But
you did also give him the wrong number. I didn't
do it. Julie gave it to him. Okay, well, Julie

(19:12):
gave him the wrong number, right, there's one digit off.
I think that we should have be scheduled because it
already started off bad. No, I think it was fine.

Speaker 3 (19:22):
I had a good time with this.

Speaker 2 (19:23):
Fine. I had a great time, even though it was
a short interview. I had a great time. What you're
just you're Michael, No, it was no, it was I
if it would have went perfect, exactly the way it
was supposed to, I said this, I would have sucked.
I would have had I told Eric afterwards too, I
said that was probably better than the ten minutes I
was met with him talking about his career. But I

(19:44):
like how you were saying. I'm like, no, it was bad, No,
it was great. I thought it was a great. If
you haven't had something that awkward, you put the bought
for one, it's like, hey, you know you owe us.
I didn't say that to me, but you might as well. No,
but he wasn't Michael's right, He wasn't in agreement that
he did say that he was going to do the interview.

(20:06):
By the way, all this happened within the ten minute
time span that we had agreed upon. This wasn't like
all right, he was greta what eight fifteen? Right? All
this habit at twenty three, right, so we had two
minutes left? Right? So what were you doing? Were you
holding all these people off until you did the interview
and then decide just get in the car with them. Oh,

(20:26):
they're not going to answer if I have to drive through.
And they wanted to know, what were you gonna do?
You're holding these people off? Anyways, I'm with them. I
feel I felt very uncomfortable. Why did you feel uncomfortable?
You didn't do anything. I didn't want to talk. I
was finding some way to contact you. I was to
tell you, Michael. I looked at Eric during this interview.
At Eric's face was completely white. His eyes are huge,

(20:47):
because I know I had typed up my questions on
my laptop, so I'm him a laptop or whatever. And
then Michael's in there and there's no way for me
to say anything because the mics are on and James's
on the phone, so I can't say I cut it,
but you can tell you can look. Yeah, see Eric's
face and he's like, this is about it. Meanwhile, I'm
all kicked back, relaxed. You're like, you joined it.

Speaker 4 (21:10):
This is I love.

Speaker 2 (21:11):
Awkward moments, and I knew it was gonna end like this,
and I just was, let me see how far I
can push this, because I just I loved it. I
loved every moment of it. He was it was He
was very calm, sitting there like Okay, yeah, that's going.
It's going to interview. I have these questions for you.
Have my feet up on the desk. He had his
arms folded, has red Bull right here, and I'm thinking, like,

(21:32):
what the heck, Like, like, Michael sitting there, You're so
used to this at the end of a long day. Yeah,
I'm so used to awkward stuff like that, and the
other people, Oh, that's okay. And in my mind, I'm thinking,
it's fine, you need to do it now or get
a quickie. This is MS Gold. In my mind, I'm
thinking this is MS Gold, Like we haven't had an
awkward interview things have gone too smooth for too long.
We need something like this. Well, I'm not gonna say anything.

(21:54):
This interview has a race started. Not bad. I love it. Oh,
I think it was great. I'm gonna use it. He's
not gonna call back. No, But I mean I think
I think we should reschedule. No, I don't have time
to talk to him. We have other people we got
to talk to. We're gonna be in La next week.
I knew it was gonna happen. You did, yeah, because
the first question is when he's like, what kind of

(22:18):
question is that? So I knew I knew it was
going to happen like that once that once the answer
was like that, that was he was already in his mind.
He was thinking, this is a bad decision. You So
you weren't nervous or no, I don't care. It doesn't
it How does it affect me? I'm the innocent bystanderd here.
I was just trying to do my job, you know
what I mean.

Speaker 3 (22:36):
That's true.

Speaker 2 (22:36):
I'm just doing I'm just doing again what we talked about.
I guess I didn't think about it. Listen, I took it.
I spent a total of ten minutes try to put
together this interview. Actually that's a lie. It was five minutes.
I worked hard on this and to have it in
in thirty seconds, I'm okay with that. You know what,
they say some of the best things and in thirty
seconds or less. That's my mind. I never heard it.

(22:58):
I can't do it in thirty seconds. No point doing it? Well, no,
wonder what you have to go for it? Well, you
don't have to go for James Tremmer, James Remmer, James Tremmer. Anyway,
I thought. Listen, James gave us a ton of new
drops now, so I appreciate that the hold on, hold on,

(23:22):
breaking news, this just album we have after James Remmer
off the seat, James, what what and stuff like that. James,
what can you tell us? And where are you? Exactly
I see and what exactly is going on? Go ahead,

(23:45):
you can tell us, James, you could tell us. We'll
be back with James Remmer right out the back. So
we have a lot more drops now, and you would
have the James cough, yes, yes, stuff I could do

(24:06):
for you, and then Bobby's favorite, the James grunt. Yeah, Hey,
we need you to go and go up and climb
this mountain real quick and save this cat.

Speaker 5 (24:19):
We do.

Speaker 2 (24:25):
No, but in all honesty, you know, we're just joking around.
But in all honesty, James is a nice guy. He
emailed us afterwards and said, listen, I'm just not gonna
be able to do it. I apologize. He didn't have
to send an email. He did, And I do think
he's a great actor. I like his everything he's in
and I would like to have him on the show
one day. Yeah, you know, and talk to him if
he wants to do a full hour. Let's do a
full hour. I would do that with James. Uh so

(24:46):
we're just having a good time with it. Do you
think he would Let's ask him, James, would you come
on the show again? Okay, well, well maybe not. You're
always welcome. Let's just put it that one that's being questioned, right, Sorry,
he must have a cold. But no, I you know,
there's I have nothing bad to say about the guy. Yeah, sure,

(25:08):
you know, but he was in a car during the
ten minute period we had reserved. But at the same time,
we did send him a bad number, so it's our fault.
So no, it's the assistance. It's the assistance. Well I'll
take the blame for it. It's our fault. Didn't happen.
James was super nice. He tried it. I sent him.
I sent him an email back personally and I said,

(25:30):
I completely understand, sorry for all the confusion. At least
you tried I apologize. He didn't. He didn't even have
to try. If it was me and somebody did that
to me, I'd have been like, I wouldn't even answer
the phone number one, but number two because I never
answer the phone, doesn't matter who it is. And number two,
I would have just been like, hey, tough luck. You
guys gave me this number. I called on the dot

(25:50):
of when you told me to call, and you didn't answer,
So I'm sorry. I got other things to do. I
got a life. That's how I would have been. James
is a much nicer guy than me, so anyway, always
screening in a car with other people. This is the
best of m ZHM.
