This is a best of m Z playing the greatest
moments in MZ history since two thousand and six.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
Maybe so. HEIMI had the opportunity yesterday to interview Hollywood
Royalty comedian Jerry Lewis. The only problem with that is
Jerry Lewis has been dead for three years. We told
Haimi that my internet was out and that I couldn't
(00:37):
do the interview. And I was in the middle of
trying to get to set up well. I figured if
anybody's gonna buy, it's gonna be hid me. And so
we told him, Hey, I can't do the interview. Michael
can't do the interview. Spider calls him, Michael can't do
the interview. We need you to do it real quick.
Are you available to do it? I was like, yeah, yeah,
of course. He gets super excited. In fact, I start
to feel bad because he got so excited. About a
(00:59):
year before, Jerry eyed he did this interview with this
reporter from the Hollywood Reporter and yeah, and he was
very short and off pouting. He was just he was mad.
I readn't kind of a follow up to it. Apparently
he had been doing a bunch of he had been
touring and stuff, and he was just kind of over.
He didn't want to do an interview, and so they
(01:21):
brought a lot of people and he was just he
was a grumpy nine year old man, right, So we
cut the clips up from that interview and Jimie was
talking to those clips. So anyway, that's the setup for it.
Here's Himie interviewing Jerry Lewis.
Speaker 3 (01:42):
Well, I'm sitting in my ass at home, but my
kid meet home because he was supposed to record this
interview today but like the internet was out of his house.

Speaker 3 (02:20):
Yeah, like he's supposed to be talking to him now.
I'm trying to figure out how to get everything going.
Speaker 6 (02:26):
Uh, Jerry Lewis. Movies, no more so.
Speaker 3 (02:29):

movies with don Nuts.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
By the way, I don't think he ever had don
Naants on any of his movies. I don't think they
ever worked together. Do you remember if Jerry did anything
with Don Nance? I don't remember. I could now, Yeah,
I don't think he ever did.
Speaker 7 (03:53):
Hold on.
Speaker 6 (03:54):
You know, did you do anything with Lucy Bodo?

to you like talking to a master stick to all right,

Meanwhile, as he's talking to Hollywood legend Jerry Lewis, he's
in the process of trying to get into a storage
facility with his uh put him on hold. Yeah, he
put Jerry Lewis on hold hold access to a storage container.
Speaker 4 (04:28):
He didn't really put him on hold that he was
just talking in the back.
Speaker 2 (04:31):
He told it like, oh sorry, he told Jerry Lewis,
this storage container is more important than you, right, yeah.
Speaker 6 (04:37):
Locked down. But yeah, so how you been You know,
it's been a while. I haven't seen you performing any
past movie, the shows, you know, you got anything coming
up in the future, anything like that.
Speaker 1 (04:46):
Yeah, but nothing we want to talk about.
Speaker 6 (04:49):
Well happened to the Jerry Show? You know, I don't know.
I should do a lot of fun here for like
kids with severe trauma and hibilepskin and stuff like that.
But what happened?
Speaker 1 (04:59):
What do you We're.

Speaker 6 (05:06):
Oh right, cool?
Speaker 8 (05:08):
Cool?
Speaker 6 (05:09):
Well you know, uh so tell me something. Did you
have a good relationship with Dean Martin and Bob Hoping? Now,
because I know you came out on the Bob Hope
a couple of times to show I remember seeing you
on Bob Hope. So that was a long time ago,
Like I don't remember when, you know, I ain't, but
like forty seven or maybe forty eight, I might be
on my fifty well ready. But you know, to me,
(05:29):
I was very young when you was performing, and I
really enjoyed everything. It was funny. I still love watching
this show man, and it was like, you know, that's
back in the black and white days. Everything in colors
and stuff, and you know how the world has changed.
What do you think about how the world has you
know changed? You know, like you know, everybody used to
say that, uh, by this time, we'd have like throat
and skateboards from you know, since watching back to the
(05:49):
fiefting stuff. Yeah, ain't nothing we having. It seems to
me we get more diseases and stuff than anywhere else
in this in this time period. You know, it's like
we're expected to die, like maybe the next coming through
right now, everybody suffering from all this managed that man
asked creative, but it's like, come on, now, give us
a great where it's the good stuff?
Speaker 7 (06:07):
Right?
Speaker 6 (06:08):
Am I going to live to see a flying car?
You know, cause he's like, what's going on? What do
you think about that? How do you think? What do
you think about those things?
Speaker 1 (06:15):
Terrific?
Speaker 6 (06:16):
Am I going too fast for you? I'm so excited, man,
I'm so excited. You know, I've interviewed a few a
few famous people, but at the bottom, I'm so excited
to interview you.
Speaker 7 (06:28):
Man.
Speaker 6 (06:29):
You're kind of like the the Star Trek guy is
to Michael Galla, and to be speaking to Jerry Lewis
is like Oh my god, from the Jerry Lewis Show.
I don't even think people nowadays remember that. But you
know I remember Dan. I've got like an and brain,
you know, left ls in mind.
Speaker 7 (06:46):
I remember, damn here everything.
Speaker 6 (06:49):
Yeah, that's what some awesome days, man, those some awesome days.
So what are you up to nowadays?
Speaker 1 (06:54):
What do you mean?
Speaker 6 (06:55):
Like? What have you been into, like you know, in
comedy or you know anything like that?
Speaker 4 (07:01):
What movie?
Speaker 6 (07:02):
What movie? Yeah like that? What have you been come
up with lately?
Speaker 1 (07:06):
You know?
Speaker 6 (07:06):
Yeah, what are you planning? We get like a like
talk about it like secretly. You know, nobody know what
a vip you know.
Speaker 1 (07:15):
Yeah, but nothing we want to talk about.
Speaker 6 (07:18):
Oh all right, all right, okay, what you going down thead?
Then that's cool, that's cool. See, well it was very
talking to you. Man. Maybe he can get a hold
of you some other times, so you know, he doesn't
catch up, and you know, maybe he can fielding too.
I don't know Michael Levala, you know, I don't think
he remembers the Jerry Lewis sow. Michael Vado was probably
not even both born man that Jerry Lewis to Jerry
(07:40):
was a comedian. Let me see jews Is talking about
my girl was talking about you was a musician. There's
a Jerry Lewis musician that that not down when Jersey
is a comedian from back in the old days. He
had the Jerry Lewis show. Yeh yeah, trying to explain
to her to know who you are this cause like
maybe hold forty thirty eight or thirty nine, because she's young,
(08:04):
but she on somewhere young. She ain't seeing nothing near anyway. Well, well,
I was not shooting from you.
Speaker 5 (08:11):
Man.
Speaker 1 (08:12):
Man, it's great.
Speaker 6 (08:13):
You have a wonderful baby. Safe stay aside because you
know this stuff, COVID stuff is really mad out here
in this mad, mad world. Did you make a movie
called mad mad world? You came out on the Herbie
on the Herbie movie, right, you know the Little Bug
Love Bug?
Speaker 4 (08:27):
What movie?
Speaker 7 (08:29):
You know?
Speaker 6 (08:29):
The Herbie the Hervey.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
He wasn't love no, no, Jerry Lewis wasn't.
Speaker 7 (08:34):
It's a mad, mad, mad, mad world. So how he
was or he was?
Speaker 2 (08:37):
That was the one thing he got right. It had
a very very small cameo here probably in five seconds
from the movie. But he's in the movie, all right,
Well he got one right. He definitely was not in
Herbie the Love Bug with Don Not and at one
point he calls don Nott's Dean Not. You'll hear that. Well, no,
there's one time where he wants to say Jerry Leeler.
Speaker 4 (08:57):
He does, but yeah, that's the musician. Yeah they're talking. Yeah, yeah,
but you don't stop himself.
Speaker 6 (09:03):
No, you know the love but one with that be
lost that came out there. I'm sure that that was
Dean Martin, that being not Boom and look the princes
of the r s M. Yeah he's still looking young. Well,
he's still looking at you.
Speaker 7 (09:20):
Man.
Speaker 1 (09:20):
It's great.
Speaker 6 (09:21):
You enjoy your day and and thanks to the car
and the interview.
Speaker 1 (09:24):
Hey, it was terrific, all.
Speaker 6 (09:26):
Right, I'm glad. Yeah, the day job, I know, because
I'm not good at this stuff. Have a good day.
Speaker 2 (09:35):
So you see how I feel a little bad now
because I didn't know that he was going to be
so excited to interview Jerry Lewis.
Speaker 9 (09:43):
Well, then if he's a mech of a fan, he
should know he was dead.
Speaker 2 (09:46):
Right, exactly right. I guess I shouldn't feel that bad.
So then they disconnect with Jerry Lewis and he starts
to question whether or not that was really Jerry Lewis
or not.
Speaker 6 (09:57):
Litter michaels for me this too making the noise?
Speaker 4 (10:01):
All right, I got it back on.
Speaker 6 (10:04):
Slaughter nigga. There wasn't no Jerry Lewis nigga that was
That was Michael.
Speaker 4 (10:11):
That was him.
Speaker 3 (10:12):
But that was garbage though that it's too old. I
knew that was going to happen too.
Speaker 7 (10:17):
He didn't know what to say.
Speaker 6 (10:18):
I think he could hear me. He might be any
questions he might be seen now, bro.
Speaker 3 (10:23):
You asked him like he asked him at least a
couple of times what he had coming up, and he
finally said he had a movie coming up, but then
didn't want to talk about it.
Speaker 4 (10:31):
It's what I asked him.
Speaker 7 (10:33):
How old is he now?
Speaker 6 (10:34):
He's like, I don't know.
Speaker 4 (10:36):
Yeah, it's whatever. See nineteen forty seven.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
It's all good man. We got at least enough to use,
you know how Michael can hey, man, I use for
the show.
Speaker 7 (10:47):
I don't think that was Michael.
Speaker 6 (10:52):
Oh you think he wasn't born nineteen forty six? Was
more nineteen twenty six? Yeah, that was Michael sabaa b jash.
Speaker 7 (11:04):
You got se me Spider.
Speaker 6 (11:05):
We got to serve me up.
Speaker 8 (11:07):
Man.
Speaker 6 (11:07):
That is, bro. I don't even know if he knows.
Can you a boy his ask him about his son
and Jerry Lewis kids. Just when I asked, like, come on, man,
you know they had the Jurish kids.
Speaker 4 (11:19):
Was born in twenty six. He's damn near one hundred
years old. You asked him if he was in his
hundreds two? Yeah, he was.
Speaker 7 (11:27):
He was born in nineteen forty six. What do you mean.
Speaker 3 (11:30):
Nineteen forty ninety? Wait, if he was born in twenty six,
he's old. But whatever, man over here, bro, at least
we got a couple of things.
Speaker 6 (11:40):
Yeah, I appreciate that.
Speaker 7 (11:41):
I can.
Speaker 6 (11:42):
I'm gonna call Michael Bajazz.
Speaker 4 (11:45):
Go all right, man, hear me.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
Meanwhile, I'm on the call the entire time, So I
get off with Spider because I know him is calling
me next. And uh, here's the here's the call.
Speaker 7 (11:56):
He Michael. Yeah, hey, bro, who was that though?
Speaker 2 (12:00):
Did it all go?
Speaker 4 (12:01):
Well?
Speaker 6 (12:02):
Yeah? I don't think it was Jerry Lewis. I think
it was you.
Speaker 2 (12:05):
Well, no, I have no Internet. I've been trying to
get Jerry Lewis for like fifteen years, and then they
finally said because of the Corny R.
Speaker 4 (12:14):
Michael.
Speaker 2 (12:14):
Yeah, I grew up watching Jerry Lewis.
Speaker 6 (12:18):
What's the reruns not the new Yeah?
Speaker 2 (12:23):
Yeah, yeah they also I like the ones without you know,
after he left Dean Martin and he did, you know,
his own thing. Those are the shows I watch anyway.
So here we go. We get this, We get the
approval to interview Jerry. Like an hour before I'm setting
up everything, my internet goes out because they're working on
stuff down the street, so I can't do it. So
I'm freaking out, and I call Spider. I'm like, hey,
can you cause he's got the the other interface, And
(12:44):
I'm like, can you call high me and see if
he can do it real quick and maybe we can
salvage it, you know, and still do something with it. Uh.
Did you get a liner with them by chance?
Speaker 6 (12:53):
Oh? Hell no, I forgot about it all right.
Speaker 2 (12:55):
I mean it is what is. I'm just glad at
least we got something out of it.
Speaker 6 (12:58):
You probably have got a lot of know how because
he was like to barely hear him.
Speaker 7 (13:02):
He's old.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
Yeah, he's almost hundred or something.
Speaker 6 (13:06):
Yeah, like ninety six, so he was born ninety twenty six.
He said he was born nineteen forty six, I mean
forty seven. He wasn't born ninety foy. I looked it
up in ninety twenty six, and you know what, it's like,
maybe he lost his mind. Dog you know how old
people get that old stuff wasn't called when need to
get Yeah, And so I'm like, I'm asking all these
questions because I knew he was with Dean Mark and
(13:27):
Bob Hope. So he came out with Lucy bod or
whatever her name is, Bodalla Bodell, and it's like he
had to be like, hum, he.
Speaker 2 (13:34):
Just I haven't seen anything he's done recently, so I
don't know that, you know, he's all the way, you
know what.
Speaker 6 (13:40):
In the back of them. In the back of my mind,
I was thinking, Kim Michaels about us pranking.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
This, No, this is something I really want to do.
This is almost like as big as William Shatner for me.
Speaker 7 (13:50):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (13:51):
I told Bob Hope or whatever Verry Lootle, I said, yeah, man,
how can he was.
Speaker 2 (13:55):
Like Michael puckingher William Shatner.
Speaker 7 (13:57):
Yeah, yea.
Speaker 6 (13:58):
I'm over here trying to get him the storage and
I can't get into it. Well because I was kind
of fun with heard met Yeah, yeah, we got, I got,
we got pretty good. He was doing was like really
not talking to say okay, yes yeah, but it sounded
like I said, you can serve my mom and Michael
(14:24):
drinking my ass.
Speaker 2 (14:25):
So anyway, he was right, it was us. But what
I think it's funny about you hearing that voice. Yeah,
it wasn't me doing the voice. It was actually Jerry Lewis,
he was talking to. What I think is funny is
him and his girl have been looking up Jerry Lewis
while they're talking to him. They see what day he's born,
but they never look at the line below that. So
he's been dead for three years. So, HEIMI just found
(14:46):
out that he's been dead. I mean, when did you
find out?
Speaker 7 (14:50):
Had we left the stork.
Speaker 6 (14:57):
Was?
Speaker 7 (14:57):
It was Frank still signed a great dollar. I was
also excited though, but they just beIN a good bad
Oh my god, I knew.
Speaker 2 (15:09):
It though, I didn't realize you're gonna be so excited
about it. Now I felt bad.
Speaker 7 (15:14):
Hey, man, but that's somebody famous, that's a real famous.
Speaker 2 (15:17):
Mother my day, he's huge.
Speaker 4 (15:20):
My favorite part was heman talking about his elephant brain.
Now he remembers every.
Speaker 2 (15:24):
Yeah, and he can't remember anything. In fact, he called
he called Lucy o'ball Lucy Baldell, Yeah, several times, Lucy. Yeah.
But he's got an elephant bro.
Speaker 7 (15:37):
Yeah. Yeah, Yeah.
Speaker 4 (15:39):
You did good for us just calling you out of
the back.
Speaker 2 (15:41):
He really did. You got to give him props for
that because he was literally in the middle of doing
something and we just called him and he was like, yeah,
I'll do it, and he he did it. I mean, yeah,
he was in the middle of trying to open the
storage container.
Speaker 7 (15:50):
But yeah, I was in the middle of trying to
do something and I can't mess him. Love it. Well,
I know who he is. I don't know all about him,
you know, but I do remember some of the movies
he came out. Oh just showed it up on you.
Speaker 9 (16:01):
As a questions, but you there give me a room
to answer them.
Speaker 7 (16:04):
He didn't ask, well, he didn't.
Speaker 2 (16:07):
You didn't give him a chance.
Speaker 7 (16:08):
Yeah.
Speaker 2 (16:08):
What Eric saying is, at one point you asked him like,
did you have a good relationship with Dean Martin? And
then before he even got a chance to answer, before
I got a chance to answer, Uh, he goes because
I think I used to watch the show Jerry Lewis,
and he goes on to a whole tangent without even
giving him time to answer. The answer would have been no,
by the way.
Speaker 7 (16:26):
Turns out, he was all like, damn, two, I.
Speaker 2 (16:33):
Want to do something real quick.
Speaker 8 (16:34):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (16:34):
I've never done this before, but I've always I always
forget every time I have a celebrity or something on
the show. I have a really crappy voicemail on my voicemail,
and so I thought if they could just record one
for me, like, and then they can plug whatever they're on, like, hey,
this is Crystal and watch me on Young and the
Restless whatever time, whatever network's on, and I just want
to see if that. Yeah, it's extra publicity. Yeah, it's
(16:56):
extra publicity for you guys. See, I'm thinking about you
when I do it this. Plus I'm too lazy to
record my own voicemail, of course. Okay, you want to
hang on for one second. Well, I try to figure
out how to do this. If it doesn't work, then
I'm not even gonna worry about it.
Speaker 10 (17:08):
Okay, what do I say? This is Michael's phone.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Sure, just just be creative. Michael's phone works. What show
is it on? By the I mean, what network is
it on? By the way, oh it is okay, what time?
