This is the FCB Radio Network,Real Talk worldwide online at FCB radio dot
com. Missus until your rushed output the brush. Welcome back, Welcome
(00:29):
back, when beneath on me,hint day, listen, you do not
know? Once again, this isnecessary roughness. I am Erica Rodriguez.
With me, you have God's theinfinite and see guy, you're happy to
day. All right, guys,we're gonna start with you. You happy,
now, go ahead, because we'regonna start with you. How is
(00:51):
your week so far? It wasI've mixed, it was mixed, mixed
feelings, mixed reviews, you knowwhat I mean. So we got the
Brownies got a w you know whichwas which was really positive. Any any
win is a win. But we'llalso be Jay, we'll talk about that
later. Don't go all the wayinto it. I'm happy, but I'm
(01:15):
not happy. But I'm opinionated onthe whole situation too. So you know,
well, we need all of youropinions in just one moment. See
that You're gonna get my opinion today. J How is your week, buddy?
You know my week is going well. I mean the Browns one,
yes, I mean who they playedthe Bengals great, you know, uh,
(01:38):
you know, Jaguars, We're stillpushing, you know, because I
know that's where you want to go. Did the Jaguars win? I'm sorry
what you said. I heard somethingabout somebody they didn't win. Okay,
I'm just saying. I'm just askingthe question. Don't beat the shooter,
don't the messenger. You know, you see how you interjected. You see
how you interjected real quick because heknew I was gonna throw Adam though to
(02:04):
say how my week is going?Thank you. Don't talk to me like
a preschool teacher. I am nota child throwing a tan from here.
All right. I don't like anyof you right now, all of you,
all of you are all my badlists. The rest of your weight.
(02:25):
Then, well, the rest ofmy week has been great. Okay.
Um, actually I don't know.I don't know. Now I'm off
flustered because you guys have got meoff track. Uh it's good though.
I'm glad the Jaguars, as guardswas about to point out, yes we
lost, we lost, okay, but you see what else to Jacksonville mean
(02:49):
is levels? All right, soright now we're on the bottom level.
That means we can only go up. So the sky is the limit.
The Jacksonville Jaguars right now, weare on the rise. I'm telling you.
So you did say they were likereal Jaguars in a while, so
we get it. That's rights.Trades are where they could go. That's
(03:13):
probably a good ware, a placeto start. I wish I could trade
you right now. I really wishon a trading blow. But it's accurate.
I mean, the trade deadline iscoming up, so it's pretty accurate.
So rot your car. That's howaccurate. I'm go ahead and catch
it, throw it right back atyou know, I do not hear.
(03:36):
The guys are really excited, excitedabout this segment, So let's go into
it. You guys, the Brownsand the Bengals. Yes, they have
one five to two. The Brownsare That's where they're at now. So
what's your thoughts? Cards, Well, I think that it was positive a
win as a win, but theydo have they still have a lot of
(03:59):
work to do. One thing thatI think that was positive is that,
you know, Baker started out thegame and then he turned it on.
So what we need from Baker rightnow is to keep it on and to
turn it on from the start ofevery single game and play the way that
he finished out. Now, inaddition to that, we still have some
(04:20):
defensive things that we're we're going tohave to We're gonna have to fix like
immediately, because I mean, granted, I don't think that we have the
toughest schedule for the remainder of theseason other than the conference games that we
have, but you know, wegotta fix it because like our our d
(04:44):
our defensive backs are being exposed prettypretty significant. What about you, see
J, what's your thoughts? Yeah, obviously it's it sucks that Obj got
hurt. You definitely don't wish thaton any player. So for the Browns
to loot Obj is a big loss. Definitely. On the flip side of
that, we did see a changein Baker once once ob J went out,
(05:09):
Higgins really took off and started playingreally well. Um, and we
saw Baker start doing really well.I think once he stopped trying to figure
out how to work ob J inand make sure OBJ gets his he started
spreading the ball around a lot moreand started kind of relaxing. So I
don't know, honestly, I hateto say this now, well maybe not.
(05:32):
I don't know, but I thinkit might be time for the Browns
once Obj is healed, I thinkit might be time for the Browns to
consider seeing if they can move Objuthen get him somewhere else, because right
now, I think Baker has playedbetter without Odell Beckham Jr. Then he
has with him. He has,but he's interesting. You answered my question.
I wanted to read you guys ashort statement of what Baker Mayfield said
(05:57):
before you guys actually completely went intoObj reay. So with obg with ob
J out for the season due tohis knee injury, um, Baker Mayfield
stated that defense that the defense willoffer a new look, outlook to the
to the Cleveland defense team, alsothat the other players will need to step
(06:21):
up. So go ahead, crabs, because you were talking. Here's what
I was gonna say. Is Ithink I was right? Well, well
I was gonna I think I was. So here's the thing. I think
you're right, c j Um.But is that an Obj problem or is
(06:43):
that a Baker problem? Because youknow, in a lot of cases,
I think that if you go throughthe history of them playing together, he's
tried to force a lot of ballsto him that we're not good thrown balls
where it's like, just throw towho's open, Throw to the best option
on in that play right then andthere, other than just trying to focus
(07:05):
on one player. So is thatI don't think that that's an OBJ problem.
Of course, we want to utilizehim, but if he's getting you
know, double team, he hastwo people on him, will throw to
the other guy that's open. Otherthan focusing so much time right there,
just play the game, right Uh, that's a good question. And it's
(07:27):
it's crazy because before before OBJ gothurt, he had that quote where he
said he was done being the thenice guy or something like that. Uh,
if you remember that, and thenright after that he got hurt.
So it looked it sounded like OBJwas kind of gonna go back into his
old ways of you know, giveme the ball if you want to win,
because we had been quiet all theseason. I feel like he had
(07:47):
been quiet. He'd been saying theright things, you know, team guy,
team first. But you can seethat he was slowly getting frustrated with
not getting the amount of past attemptsthrowing his way as he's used to in
previous years with the Giants, andI think that kind of put added pressure
on Baker to try and make himhappy, because not only is OBJ getting
(08:09):
upset, but now you have themedia and the outside sources kind of coming
in and saying, you know, well, what's going on. Obj is
not being targeted as much. Howdo you plan on working in man?
Are they Why aren't they utilizing himmore? So, then Baker's trying to
kind of hush those critics by tryingto get him and force feed him the
ball, which, like you said, may not be the best play and
(08:33):
ends up maybe in a turnover,in a sack because he's holding it waiting
for OBJ to get open and reallyhurting the team. So at this point
with the idea of trading OBJ,because think about it, when before he
got there and Baker's rookie year,I mean, he was just getting the
ball to everybody. Everybody was gettinggetting fed, and the team was doing
(08:56):
well and looking well, and that'swhat kind of made everybody get really excited
for the future for the Browns. But as soon as Odell got here,
you know, it was kind ofeverybody was consumed with trying to make sure
that he stays happy. And I'mnot putting this as an indictment on him,
because obviously he's a superstar, youknow, and he's a great talent
in the NFL. But sometimes greattalents don't fit into systems that they're in.
(09:18):
They have to find the system thatthey need to be great in,
and Cleveland just may not be thebest system or the best fit for him
right now. I feel, Ifeel, I have mixed feelings about this
because you know, I think you'reabsolutely right. You know, you get
you get a bunch of superstars. If you take it to music, let's
say, like you get a wholebunch of superstars on one record, it
(09:39):
doesn't necessarily mean that that record isgoing to be a great record, even
though it has all these superstars onit. As DJ Khalid about that,
well, that's a different story. He's a different story. So you know,
he he's got the magic pixie dustthat just turns it into a hit
record, you know what I mean. Not everybody has that though, So
(10:00):
anyways, I think you may beright about that. But then the other
part of me is kind of likethat that. That's kind of why I
asked the is it a Baker problem? Though? Is that just play your
game? Play your game? Andif you go back to how he was
doing it before, everybody was gettingfed, so he wasn't just fixated on
(10:20):
one player. He was trying toget the ball to everybody and get it
out and actually play, uh,play the actual game to the best of
his ability. So I don't know, man, And and then I don't
want to think about trading ob JJyet I don't. I don't want to
think about it just personally. Youknow, I have a question if Doe
two Obj's injury, do you thinkthat's going to affect the Browns future games?
(10:46):
I don't know. I mean,it could, it could not.
I mean, but as you sawis that Baker started playing really really well
once uh, once Odell went down. So I don't know. It's the
games have to be played any givenSunday, so we'll see what do you
thank you? Ja? Yeah,I agree. As the season continues,
we'll see how they continue to eitherprogress or regress. I think I think
(11:13):
it definitely to answer your question kindof simply, yes, it will affect
their season because OBJ is not outthere, so obviously anytime. The same
with Nick Chubb. If when oneof your big time guys is off the
field, it's going to change things. So that's why that quote you read
Erica was so important. Is guysnow have to step up and really start
(11:35):
to fill in those gaps to helpthe team be successful. Thank you,
gentlemen, Thank you. All Right, you guys, we have to wrap
it up for this for this segment, however, we'll be right back with
an important interview with La Sean Brown. So stay tuned, come right back,
O pop your popcorn. We'll beright back. Meet me here.
Necessary roughness. I'm some do youfeel like everyone is yelling at each other

(12:20):
Cura Davis on iHeartRadio or wherever youget your podcasts. This is necessary roughness.
Welcome back you guys. As Isaid earlier, we have a special
(12:43):
guest in for Sean Brown, Guardreal tactic, goll. You do appreciate
it, Yeah, absolutely absolutely,Uh this is this is family, so
definitely appreciative. Are you coming onthe show. So we'll get started,
um, talk a little bit aboutyour experience. We here a lot,
(13:07):
especially now about the w NBA andwhat a lot of the players are fighting
for, So talk a little bitabout what your experience was, like.
How long were you in the wNBA, What was your experience like all
that good stuff. I played threeyears professionally, I only played the one
year in the w NBA and Istopped playing. We won't get into that
while I stopped playing. But myexperience just not only with the w NBA,
(13:30):
but just professionally, I enjoyed it. It was eye opening. It
was a great experience that most girlsdon't get to experience. I played overseas.
I played with the Columbus Quest thatwas in Columbus. So some of
(13:52):
the things that we're going on thenthat are still going on now, is
better pay back then? The paywas terrible to this day, I'm pretty
sure that it is still terrible. And they had their first increase I want
to say earlier this year or lastyear, and I'm not sure that those
(14:13):
numbers look like now, but it'snot comparable comparable to the NBA and the
probably never will be. But I'mhoping that, you know, we can
get the numbers up with audience. That way, the women that's playing don't
always have to go overseas just tomake up the money that they're not getting
(14:35):
by playing in the WBA. Well, and talk a little bit about that
too. I know that had beenthat was something when they came out that
was kind of shocking to sports fansto find out that w NBA players have
to also go play overseas to tomake up that dollar. So talk a
little bit more about that, becauseI think it's something that's still a lot
(14:58):
of people still don't know. MA lot of the women do it because
they enjoy it, and some ofthem, even the ones that make top
dollar like Cannons Parker, she goesover She have been playing in Russia and
various places all over Europe. Butit's it's a year round thing for the
(15:18):
women. They really don't get verymuch time off because as soon as the
w NBA season is over with, they're on planes and they're taking off.
They're already in Europe. China,Japan, wherever that their teams are located.
So they're already playing again in thatseason last until maybe March or April,
depending upon the tournament time, andthen you turn around, you may
(15:39):
have a couple of weeks off.Now you're in training with the w NBA.
With this year, w NBA starteda little later, so they had
a little time off, but nowthey're right back over playing in Europe again.
So it's I do believe some ofthe women they do it because they
(16:00):
probably need to and they have to, and I think the majority of them
do it because they just love playingthe game and they want to play it
as long as possible. So whatis the what's the difference? Obviously there's
cultural differences and stuff like that. What's the difference between playing in the w
NBA and playing overseas for women basketballplayers in particularly, well when I played
(16:26):
in Israel, and I will saythat we had a better support system.
They love watching the game and theylove watching the American women come over and
playing the leagues and around Europe.Of course, there is language barriers.
You have to learn how to speakthe language wherever the country you're in very
(16:48):
quickly because the plays are in theirlanguage, and teammates may not know English,
so any then you may have, you know, players from other countries,
so you may be speaking through differentlangue. Which is just the one
thing. But it's a faster pacedgame that it is here in the United
States, very fast, very aggressive, very physical. Like I said,
(17:15):
I love the fans support. You'reliving on your own in a different country.
You really don't know onety one,but the other Americans that's you know,
around the country. We I hadAmerican. I had a teammate where
she wasn't a teammate, it wasa girl. She was here from Cleveland.
Her name was Bonnie Dove who playedat Kennedy. She was from Cleveland.
(17:36):
I had Wanda four who was herefrom Cleveland. She was in Israel.
So I was lucky enough to havetwo people from my actual hometown in
Israel at the same time I wasthere. So having friends over there,
you know, makes it a loteasier. But I just enjoyed the travel,
the camaraderie with the other girls, learn to speak the lang which the
(18:00):
money was it's tax free over there, so I love that. It's just
getting right. We do. Wedo get paid pretty good and you know,
they tend to love us a littlemore over there than they do here
in America. Go ahead, CEJ. Yeah, I'm sure I had an
(18:22):
experience playing over in China, andthen when I came back, Uncle Sam
definitely reached in my pockets and gothis out of that money made over there,
So I can understand that. Soyou did like I did. I
cashed all my money, put inAmerican money, putting money belt on my
body, and I traveled cash onme through customs, praying to God that
(18:45):
they didn't stop me. Got nowit's putting it into the bank. They
asked no questions about the money, and I was never taxed on it.
Oh my god, I wish Iknew that. How can you not?
Is your cousin? So whatever?Man? So my question, I will
(19:07):
tell you I had about forty thousandthousand cash on me. Wow, if
they had caught you. Oh uh, So quick question. You you talked
about, you know, the languagebarrier with you and some of your teammates
from overseas. Un Can you describeany any ways that you kind of overcame
(19:33):
that was there. Maybe you cameup with some kind of secret signals that
you and your teammates worked out tokind of help you get on the same
page. Learn the language. Youcatch on pretty quick. You have to
learn the language and everything. Um, we didn't have any secret signals,
and you just got to really payattention. My coach in Israel, he
(19:55):
was Russian, and then I hadgirls that were from the Ukraine and from
Russia and from Israel. So hehad to learn to speak all the languages.
And you know, I had tolearn to understand them and speak them.
And then when you get on acourt, you know, everything just
starts to flow and you start topick up on everything very quickly. Wow,
(20:17):
that's crazy. I never knew that. And that's that's amazing. That's
that's that is so difficult to notonly play the sport that you're playing,
but also have to learn like fivesix different languages from so many different cultures
in backgrounds, and I'm sure allthe languages have their different kinds of slang
and different dialects and tones and stuffthat you have to get accustomed to.
(20:38):
That's that's amazing. Kudos absolutely,go ahead. Guards. So here's my
question, um, going back tothe payment issues that you know exist here,
you know within the sport, howwould how do you suggest if you
(21:00):
have any ideas that you think wouldwork to enhance the viewership as well as
just enhance the maybe participation of sponsorsand all that so that paid inequality can
be leveled off and balanced. Allotum. Well, I will say that put
(21:21):
us back on main TV. Whenthe w NBA first started, we were
on Lifetime. We were on Iwant to say, either ABC or NBC,
so we were being viewed a lotmore. We were on ESPN.
Now the majority of the game youhave to have ESPN in order to see
the games. We're not on Lifetimeanymore. So we need to have that
(21:45):
support. As you know, Clevelandhad a team here and they left.
I hear so many people say thatI wish the team was back, but
we didn't get the support. Weneed to have this support now. I
think that right now basketball is startingto become big with women. It's a
(22:07):
slow increase in the support, butit's a much needed I just feel like
we need to, you know, tap into a lot of these corporate Americas,
like, hey, you know, support these women. You know,
you got girls going growing up,going to high school, going to college,
playing Division one basketball, and theaspirations is to become a professional.
(22:32):
We don't want to send all ofour girls overseas to play in another country
where they're more loved than in thatin the foreign country, then they are
in their own country. So Ijust think it needs to We need to
tap into a wide range of corporateAmerica. I mean, we work closely
with the NBA. I think there'smore that can be done with that,
(22:53):
and I'm sure there's some things beingdone to get more support, but I
just think we need to be onmainstream TV. I here too many people
tell me that Haig sometimes they werewhether Rochus played than the men play,
because we're so we're much more fundamentalthan the men. But we have to
have you know, we have tobe able to show that you got girls
(23:15):
here that never seen a w NBAgame because they don't have cable, they
don't have ESPN two. How dowe bridge that gap so they can get
the support? Start putting it onmainstream TV? All right, you guys,
stay tuned for more with the SeanBrown. We'll be right back.

(24:45):
guys. Let's continue our conversation withdown Well and I think you bring I
think you bring up a really goodpoint because I think especially some of our
listeners may not be old enough torememberable when w NBA first started. You
know, it was pretty big,It was pretty big those first couple of
years, and you're you're saying thata lot of that is because it was
on I believe it was on NBC. Okay, yeah it was. Um,
(25:12):
I just don't understand why it changed. I don't know if the numbers
were down. For what I saw, the numbers were up, but I
guess it wasn't up enough for themto continue to broadcast those games and everything.
One of my suggestions is broadcast thegame before an NBA game. Why
(25:32):
not? I mean, I lovewatching basketball all day long. Why not
staggered, you know, w NBAgame going into an NBA game. I
guarantee you those numbers will go up. But that's just my idea of what
I did. A viewership up andlike I said, you know, put
more of these games on regular TV. These girls need to see that.
(25:53):
They could hear about it. Theyhear people talk about it, but it's
one thing to talk about and hearabout it, but not be able to
see it. That That's that's thedifference right there. Absolutely. And you
know one thing that I see justturn if you flip through the channels at
any time of the day, Alot of times they have you know,
(26:14):
they're playing playing reruns or something likethat. Why not put you know there
there's space, there's openings that theycould play these games in the they that
they could put these games in andshoot the schedule because they have a lot
of downtime, uh you know onthese stations. I agree with that.
And I'm not talking about showing agame at one, two, three o'clock
(26:37):
in the more right right? No, no, no, showing it like
during the middle of the day,the same way you would do an NBA
game. I say it. Youknow, have the NBA piggyback, you
know after the women's game, youknow, and I guarantee you those numbers
will go up. They may notbe what you gotta try something. Absolutely
(27:04):
get to Erica because I know Ericahad a question too. Okay, So
I do know that I do knowthat the male male African Americans do have
challenges um in the field and whetherit's NBA, NFL. So my question
for you in what challenges do youhave not only as a woman but as
(27:25):
an African amendment of African American womanin the w NBA. What are I
mean? You said? And overseethe wa yes, you sell overseeings that
they love you. They you havereally good support. How about overhearing America.
What are your challenges that you facedas a woman in Africa. Mhm
um m hmm. Well, likeI said, like you just said,
(27:49):
I mean, even for Israel, you would never think that they love African
American women. They do, Theyabsolutely do. They love the skin color
and everything. I didn't have anyproblems and overseas with racism or anything like
that. I mean, I've beenover to Greece, I've been to Spain,
I've been to Turkey. I've hadno issues over in Europe. You
(28:10):
know. Here in the United States, I don't really think I encountered anything.
And even playing in college, Ireally didn't encounter anything. You know,
you know mostly the women that playin the w NBA or African American
women. I don't think I haven'thad any challenges in there. The only
(28:33):
thing that has come up that hassparked an issue with the w NBA is
sexuality. That has been an issue. It was the same thing going back
when I played. It just neverwas talked about. It didn't bother me.
I go on about my day andeverything. But as an African American
(28:53):
woman, I haven't I haven't encounteredanything. Everybody's been great when I played.
You know, a lot of thegirls that I played with, I
played you know with or against incollege, some you know through high school,
somebody USA game. So I mean, everybody has been great. Absolutely.
(29:15):
So I got a question real quick, and NCJ, we'll go to
you. What's your favorite memory fromplaying basketball? Whether it be in the
w NBA or overseas, what's yourfavorite your favorite memory? It has to
be professional or in college or incollege either way, you know, in
(29:36):
college, I would say it's afavorite memory. It's a memory that I
would never forget. We played inthe National Championship game against North Carolina and
we lost that game in point zeroseven seconds. That's one of the you
that they change at the clock wherethe everything was like point zero or whatever,
and we lost in point zero sevenseconds to a last shot that I
(30:00):
still don't think got off in time. But it was a great memory.
M Not everybody, not everyone cancan say that they've done that. That
whole year was full of challenges formy team because earlier that year, University
(30:22):
of Tennessee whooped our behind. UM. I want to say UM at University
of Alabama whooped our behind. Wehad a hard time that year, and
for us to fight, we hadto play University of Tennessee in regional games
in Arkansas. They thought it wasgoing to be a cakewalk, like it
was earlier to that year when someonewent home crying that day after the game,
(30:45):
and it wasn't us. They didLisa Leslie with USC. You know,
you know I love Lisa Lestie.Everybody always compared. He said,
look like, I do not looklike Lisa last see nothing against her,
but she was a big cry babyto me. You couldn't touch her,
(31:07):
you couldn't put her, you couldn'tdo any of that. File file,
And I'm thinking, but they wenthome, it's fired. And you know
now University of Alabama is there andplayed University of Alabama they be kicked our
(31:29):
butts earlier that year and we youknow, beat them um for you know,
the first round of that final fourgames. So it was a bitter
sweet year. You know, hatethat we lost, but it was it's
a memory of that whole year andwe'll never forget awesome, awesome, go
ahead, we got a couple ofminutes left ahead. Yeah, so we
(31:51):
know twenty twenty has been a bigyear for social justice, especially on the
you know, African American and policepolice reform push. What did you feel
when the w NBA decided to goon strike and not play and then see
the men actually kind of almost followthat up, So you you the w
(32:14):
NBA kind of set the standard forplayers all together coming as one and making
decision on how to handle that.Well, how did that make you feel
and what did you think about that? I thought it was absolutely great that
they took a stance and they werestanding up for not just social injustice,
(32:35):
it was for Brianna Taylor that happenedmurder, you know, during a police
raid and whatever. I just thinkthat we set the tone. I think
it was a great tone and setbecause you know, usually we're always second
to do things. We were first, and you know, we're standing up
for men who probably well I'm notgonna say probably, who have encountered more
(33:00):
police brutality than women. Not tosay that women don't. We're standing up
not only for our black men,but for men in general that this needs
to stop, it needs to changeand everything. I went on a podcast
a couple of months ago and wetalked about this very thing about the social
injustice, Like how do we getpast that one police officer that's having a
(33:25):
bad day and he approached your carand he has this bad attitude and everything.
Now whatever's going on and his personallife is coming out onto someone that's
already scared, and now you're takingeverything to heart and now you wind up
killing someone because you had a badday at the house. You know,
(33:46):
things like that. I think westill got a long way to go.
I went and saw the memorial upin Minnesota for Lloyd, and it was
so somber. It was quiet,it was very sad, and I just
looked at the whole territory that therioters they just burn everything right, tearing
(34:09):
down buildings. It's it's sad.But you know, I think the w
NBA we would do more of that. And I think there's going to be
a more of a stance from thew NBA for change before we actually wrap
it up. I wanted to askthe Sean want more question if we had
time, but if you all havea recommendation for the future generation to come,
(34:30):
what would that be That one recommendationor a word that you have for
the next girls, for the nextgirl, for basketball or whatever, for
basketball, for w NBA. Whatwould you say to the next future w
NBA. Okay, I coach andeverything, and I see the girls now
(34:51):
and the work ethic is not there. Um our girls and even this young
generation they think they are entitled. You're not entitled. You're not entitled to
anything. You have to work forwhatever you want, whether it's a scholarship,
whether it's a job, whether it'sstarting your own business, you have
(35:12):
to work for that. No oneis going to hand you anything. You
have to earn it and you haveto work for it. Absolutely, thank
you so much for coming on theshow. Awesome, Absolutely appreciate it.
Thank you anytime. Can we canwe swap out Laean for dar one family

to break, let me just saythis, Lashan, he's mad because we
beat him up every week because he'sa Jacksonville Jaguars fan. That's why don't
listen to you like like once again, thank you so very much for Sean

you get your podcasts today. Thisis roughness. Welcome back, you guys,
the necessary roughness. Once again.I have to say special thank you
in a special shout out to LaShaunBrown, former w NBA player, Thank
(37:30):
you once again for stop and buyjust giving us some of your time.
All right, gentlemen. So,as we heard, the Tennessee Titans had
over two dozen players and staff whotested positive. So they have recently got
fine three hundred and fifty thousand dollarsfor the largest outbreak this season, forcing
(37:53):
any games any future games to berescheduled. What do you guys think about
that? What do you think umc J. Yeah, that's uh,
it's really unfortunate that I guess guysjust still aren't taking this as seriously as
they need to, and now it'saffecting everybody. And until guys really start
(38:14):
buckling down and practicing safe protocols withCOVID nineteen, this is just going to
continue. It's it's gonna be there'sgonna be no ending as we're as the
numbers are increasing and rising, peoplearen't taking it seriously, and it's just
going to continue happening. And it'sit's sad to see. I don't know
(38:36):
what's wrong with these votes. It'slike, just like number one, First
off, you're being paid a lotof money to play this game to stay
healthy, and staying healthy is notjust your mind, it's not just your
body, you know, it's yourhealth. Stay away from other people.
Don't like what is wrong with y'all? Just you don't gotta go out.
(38:59):
You don't have to be kicking itout with everybody. Just chill out shit
at home. You're being paid millionmillions of dollars. What's wrong with you?
For you guys that don't know. This is one of the topics that
hit home for him. So that'swhy we're taking a moment. It's not
(39:19):
just that it's it's not just thatit's home to everybody. All these people
are stupid like like it's it's literallythere's no other option, you know.
And I know where we're gonna talkabout what happened with the player from the
Dodgers. So why don't you,Why don't you talk them? Why don't
you mention that real quick? Andthen I let me say what I gotta
say after all, Right, soJustin Turner from the Dodgers also tested positive
(39:43):
during a game. CJ, goahead and tell them what they said.
Yeah, so Justin Turner finally gothis World Series championship, But at what
costs? Uh? So the Dodgers. Uh the appalling flouting of the COVID
nineteen protocols at the World Series onTuesday night, And this is from USA
today. It says it might aswell be a microcosm of what's happening in
(40:04):
the United States right now, bringinginto sharp focus why this country has lost
almost two hundred and thirty thousand ofits mother's, father's, son's daughters,
brothers, sisters, grandparents, andfriends in the past seven months. It
says, Turner was pulled from Gamesix in the eighth inning and put in
isolation following confirmation that he had testedpositive for COVID nineteen. Yet, as
(40:24):
the Dodgers celebrated their first championship sincenineteen eighty eight, Turner was back on
the field, front and center, often massless, non social distancing, and
they have a picture of him duringthe team photo of Justin Turner sitting next
to the manager Dave Roberts, whodespite having tested despite testing positive for COVID
(40:47):
nineteen, is sitting next to themanager who is a cancer survivor. It's
crazy, stupid. Look, here'sthe thing is that bottom line, if
I was the manager, I don'tcare if we want or not, and
he's a cancer survivor, you know, and I would have said sit him
over there. I don't want tobe anywhere near him because he's got the
(41:09):
RONA and I am a cancer survivor. So so right now, like you're
absolutely right, or in that articlethat you just read, was absolutely right
with where we are in this countryis that people aren't taking it seriously.
People think that it's uh people makingit political, and no, it's a
(41:30):
virus. It doesn't have a sideof politics. It's a virus. It
doesn't matter who you are. Thething is is that right now we're on
an increase. It's happening. Ohiohas gotten some of its worst numbers since
March, since it actually began, has tested more that we have in October
(41:55):
than we did seven months ago.So at some point somebody's going to have
to sit some of you are goingto have to sit there and think about
it about yourself for a minute andsay maybe I should take this thing seriously.
And I see a bunch of peoplesay stuff about, oh, well
they're testing more. Well, yeah, they're testing more. But the fact
(42:15):
is is that that doesn't change thefact that the data is the data.
Yes, they're testing more because it'smore readily available and the tests have became
better and more accurate and things ofthat nature. But at the same point,
don't you think that that should tellyou that, oh, well,
it's out there a lot more nowbecause a lot of you aren't wearing masks.
(42:37):
And then a lot of these playersaren't wearing masks. You hear about
the Dodgers, Yeah, congratulations Dodgers. Now you are now playing a Russian
roulette with who's going to actually bealive for the next season, because y'all
are being irresponsible. So all ofthese players, all of these people out
here, are being irresponsible and puttingall of us, all the rest of
us who may actually be taking itseriously in jeopardy. So something's gonna have
(43:00):
to happen, something needs to clickin some of your minds, and you're
going to have to realize that you'renot necessarily immune to this thing, and
nor do you have the ability toalways get the best treatment. So I'm
gonna chill out because this topic.Actually it gets me aggravated and angry because
(43:23):
I feel that if we did likea lot of these other countries did,
we would actually be out of itright now and be able to go to
concerts and sporting events in regular attendanceright now at this moment. I agree.
I agree. All right, youguys, it's about that time.
Let's wrap it all up. Now, it's time for taking it into the
(43:46):
church. Ce J take it.Yes, yes, Deacon Guards, I
agree with you, my brother,I should be taking justin turn of the
church, but maybe we'll have todo that for another time, because I
want to stay six feet away fromhim at all times now hallelujah, Amen,
(44:07):
Amen and amen. Yes, it'sall about praises now going up high
to the big guy upstairs, andpraise be to you for joining me here
again today. I am the HonorableReverend Doctor. I'll be good and I
welcome you to Saint Bartholo Muse NewEpiscopalian Old Lutheran Baptist Church, Cathedral of
(44:28):
Secondhand Grace and Firsthand Faith, GoodSamaritan Praised on High Hills, Drew Hill,
Cisco's Tabernacle of that Psalms Song PsalmChurch and Good Stewardship Incorporated Church.
I must inform you that our benefactor, the Saint Uncle Luke and his apostles
of the Two Live Crew have decidedto part ways with the Church a man
(44:50):
and have released the rights back toyours. Truly, it seems as though
they only wanted to use our churchbecause of the opportunity it gave them for
an upcoming Halloween party we spoke aboutlast service. However, many of you
in the congregation have voiced your concernsto me on having such a questionable gathering,
and are unquestionably most holy of sanctuaries. So, through the power of
prayer, and the class action legallawsuit filed in the church's behalf after I
(45:14):
had Deacon Guards sneak, I meanclean the office and find some unsettling documentation
on how they have been keeping thechurch's financial records. Thank you, Deacon
Guards. And just so you know, they have decided to promptly be done
and moved to other interests. Amen. And speaking of being done and moving
on, I'd like to call thecity of Dallas to move up to the
(45:37):
front of the sanctuaries, starting withthe SMU Mustangs. But do it slowly,
because last weekend, my bear Cats, the school I learned graduated and
played at beat the brakes off ofthem. So you might want to take
a detour and head to the localrepair shop and get those brake lines checked
out. The bear Cats handed theMustangs their first home loss in nearly two
(45:58):
years. No one, no onemust stand rush for more than forty yards
and no receiver had more than sixtyeight worth of yards worth of catches,
with the final score forty two tothirteen. That looked like my bearcats broke
those wild Mustangs and turned them intoone of those equestrian horses that prints around
during the Olympics. You know whatI'm talking about, Deacon America, and
do the tricks on command as theydo. Now, you might want to
(46:23):
take that old horse to the oldtown roller, like it says in the
book of Billy Ray Cyrus as hewas talking to the disciple Little Nazas,
because that horse ain't riding no more. But speaking of doing tricks on command
and horses that need to be putout to pastor, the Dallas Cowboys have
mastered the trick of disappearing on thefootball field. They say they are America's
(46:45):
team, Well, more like SouthAmerica's team, because that's where they're headed.
I mean, law, have mercy. Last week you got beat by
a team with no name. TheWashington football team beat the cow out of
the Boys twenty five to three. As the Great and Holy Prophet Shannon Sharpe
said to the blessed fem of skill, baitless. You flew all that way
(47:06):
to kick a field goal, doingthe most to do the least. If
I may borrow a phrase from theprofit rapper rich Boy and remix it just
a little bit, I just boughta Catillac. Them Cowboys losing, that's
a fat good lord. Their defensewhack. Throw some d defense on the
field. Please, good God,throw some defense on the field. You're
ruining my fantasy team already when Dakisgot put out, but we're still praying
(47:30):
mightily for his rehab and recovery.Amen. And now I'm scrambling for a
new QB to solidify my team. But Church for not let us rest assure
that the d and Dallas has newmeaning? What d hell is going on
in Dallas? Because if them boyslose again, they are done. Deacon
(47:52):
Guards and Deacon as Erica, pleaseclose and locked the sanctuary doors as we
prepare for our forty second collection ofthe day for the Home for the Broken
and Bruce was Cowboys and Horse Shelterand Rehabilitation Center. And remember, Church,
no matter how lugly the d feetor how crazy this world make it,
you never have to worry about me, because I'll be good. Hallelujah.
(48:14):
And now y'all come on back. Now you're here, all right,
you guys, we have less thanone minute free j give us your last
thought and how they get they canactually contact you on social media. Yeah,
man, just for everybody out there, I know we have a lot
of fun here on the show. But this COVID nineteen thing is serious.
(48:34):
We see athletes not taking this serious, which they need to do. I'm
not saying all athletes do that, but we need to hold people more accountable
and really practice safe COVID nineteen measures. If you want to follow me,
hit me up on Twitter and Instagramat King Cobb Semente on Facebook. Just
CEJ Cobb keep it simple and clean, y'all. Peace, go ahead,
guys, yep, I agree withCJ. You know, stop passing a

right, you guys? That isit for today. Listen, be safe,
