com. Mississip blush until you dorushed out the bush. Welcome all,
(00:29):
Welcome off to that's the third restness. This is Erica Rodrigans and with me,
I have guards the infinite and cJ cass what guard? Hello?
How was your week? Buddy?Sor right, Brownie's gonna win. You
know, I'm pretty happy about thatoverall, you know it was. It
(00:49):
wasn't the most prettiest, but awin is a win. It is and
we will talk about that shortly.C J, how is your week,
budd Hey? You know what myweek is good. I can't complain still
standing on this side of the earthand not under it, so I'm here.
That sounds fantastic, Lisanta, whatwas that fantastic? Listen, my
(01:15):
niece says it that way. Ithink that is so adorable. You don't
think that's adorable. I wonder whereshe got it from. Well, it
wasn't for me. She invented fromfantabulous percent No, Fantabulistanus is my word,
fantastic. So you so you admitthat you're the one that taught her
(01:36):
that fant have you lists. Iforgot that. Anyways, Let's let's come
back. Let's come back. Yeah, get out of here. Yeah,
let's here, let's come back.So listen, gentlemen, the Browns versus
the Texans, they one, ofcourse, we know that, ten to
seven, making them six six outof three. It seems like they're finding
(02:00):
that. Guys, we're doing that. They won six games. Gotta carry.
So I gotta carry the three games. You gotta carry the one three.
Put everybody sure the square roof we'reworking in into jurors. Now you
(02:22):
get on my nerves. Take meback careful, I'm heavy. I'll break
them. But my question for youguys, because y'all not wrecking me today,
I'm listening. I got this isthe Is the COVID nineteen guys smiling
(02:43):
down on them or are the Brownsreally actually trying to go to the playoff?
Guards? Guards, guards, youfirst three times to say it right,
guards, like your beatle juice orsomething. I just appear, I
(03:04):
just appear like, hey, it'sme, I'm here, umny man,
candy man. Well, we'll see, we'll see. I mean, I'm
I'm still hopeful that it's it's apossible it's a possibility, but you know,
the reality is it's Pittsburgh is playingvery well right now, and so
it's Baltimore. Baltimore's a beastly teamas well. So you know, we
(03:28):
do have our work cut out forus. But you know, I think
it's it's definitely a possibility, butyou know they're gonna have to. You
can't play the Steelers in the samemanner that we played the Texas. We
can't play the Ravens in the samemanner that we played the Texas either,
(03:50):
you know what I mean. Imean not that we did super terrible,
you know what I mean, butwe can't make we can't readily make mistakes,
all right, See, hey, what do you think? Oh but
let's go. Here's the thing. We got. We got Nick Chubb back,
and as you saw this past week, uh is with when you have
(04:15):
the dual threat of Chubb and Huntlike our running game, our field,
just our running game is just justamazing. Like both of them dudes are
just amazing players. And they bothhave different styles of of of running and
getting yardage. You know, so, and I think what they say that
this is the first time since Ican't remember the day it may have been
(04:41):
in the eighties that you know, two Browns receivers got over one hundred yards
in the game both or two twoBrowns nineteen sixty six, nineteen sixty six.
That's a significant that's a significant statright there. That's a long time.
Was that like Ernest Biner? Uh? Yeah, I was sixty six.
(05:03):
That was Lee Roy Kelly and Ican't remember the otherm oh all those
that don't know that's Darvo. Hey, I think I think they know who
he is right now? Erica thinksI don't think so you think I should
do it? Okay, you knowI was gonna do it. He does
(05:24):
not. He does not get introduction. No, we're not doing any more
special introductions for Darvo. Yeah,he feels you do some type of way
sometimes, dar But it's okay. What do you what do you think about
the question? Though? What's yourwhat's your thoughts? I haven't heard nothing
(05:45):
from you. What's going on?Like the great Lee corso not so fast?
Look, the Browns they're in agood position, all right, they're
doing well, But I just don'tsee them making it. I'm sorry.
Maybe maybe I'm I'm foolish, MaybeI'm you know, reaching here. But
something inside me, something inside me, just says, the Browns are gonna
(06:11):
mess it up at some point.Well, is it history? Is it
just last year? Is it justwhat I've seen all that? Yes,
that that's that's pretty much what itis. Actually, Yeah, I just
know at some point it's just they'regonna they're gonna chip all over themselves somehow
out of all the Cleveland Browns.Where the brownie is um because I was
(06:36):
gonna act is that's just your ownbias opinion, or because you don't like
them because we talked, you know, because garbs talk about your jaguars.
That just no, he's been justyour you know, first of all,
you have to bring up the jaguars. The jaguars. I'm gonna say this
(06:58):
with my hands. The people outthere can't see me right now, but
hear me when I say this.Keep the jaguars out your mouth. Okay,
what about your mouth? About Ibelieve about what about their one and
eight record? One in eight?Let me tell you about one in eight?
(07:20):
Okay. What we're doing here isreverse psychology, reverse mathematics. Wash
the hands. You see the hands, they're moving all over. We can't
know you can't see the hands.Just like their record at one in eight,
it's not the point you seem pastone in eight. Okay. What
the Jaguars are doing right now islearning the Holy I can't believe nobody else
(07:44):
can see this button me. We'relearning the whole league into that false little
security blanket sense of security where theythink, oh, it's just the Jaguars,
they're not gonna do anything, andthen pound Jaguars come. They pounced
like the big cats in the junk. We strike without being seen. We're
masters of the skies. Okay,we're fooling you, NFL. We have
(08:07):
fooled you for the first weeks. Here's the Here's the thing though, this
is there is some truth to whatyou say, because in a lot of
cases, what ends up happening, especially during the second half of the season,
is that, you know, teamslook at those teams that don't have
a great record, and they sleepon them and they play down to,
(08:30):
you know, to whatever that team'srecord is, and then they end up
losing and it's just like, howdid y'all lose that game? So that
I mean that that could very wellhappen. You know, I'm hoping y'all
have a win some more wins. You know, Just are you really going
to dignify that BS response? Idon't think it is what the actual analysts,
(08:54):
like you told your analysts like youactually analyze that BS that came out
of cj'son But but it's facts.Though, like me and CJ agree,
even though he'd be hating all thetime on me, we actually agree.
I wouldn't call it hating more likestaying the obvious. Look, no matter
(09:20):
how much you try to hate onthe Jaguars or how much you tried to
tear them down, King the Kingpinmoral, I'm not talking to you guards.
Actually, that was a very philosophicalstatement that you express, and I
appreciate that. Come on to jointhe very I'm very impressed CJ at how
(09:41):
the lengths that you go week inand week out to be able to put
a new spin on the Jaguars record. It's actually very impressive. Just like
I think one day you, Ithink one day you're going to have a
great interview with one of the Jaguars. One they're gonna win. Absolutely,
(10:05):
they're gonna starts on Sunday. They'regonna they're gonna invite me into the facility.
Okay, they're gonna give me theKing's welcome because I am the their
number one supporter. Uh, theyare most loyal, that's right. I
have ten toes down for the Jaguars. Okay, it's Duval County, all
right, it's not No. Fouruntil I can't breathe. No, no,
(10:30):
you know what I'm saying. Ifeel it. That's how we get
down. I'm not. I mean, here's the thing, Like, I
don't discredit your like just riding withthem when we're or another. Like you
have to remember, I'm a Brownsfan. So and you know, we
actually had a zero in sixteen paradein the freezing cold, so you know,
(10:52):
like I understand that, you know, and I understand that a lot
of teams have in the past years, teams have tried to play down to
the Browns. And the Browns mayget a win, you know what I
mean. They we'll go to theplayoff one day, say it? You
know, Oh yeah they are.You know, I have so confident and
I think that we're heading in theright direction right now, uh with the
(11:15):
Browns. So yeah, yeah,I'm interested to see what happens. Yeah,
and Erica one day, I'll fitinto a side thirty four pints.
But that's not today, Okay,it's it's not today, it's not this
year, so just leave it atthat. Thirty four keep yep my pants
size out to the mouth, gentlemen, on that, No, on that,
(11:43):
no, everybody, We will beright back, come back. Don't

(13:16):
welcome back. This is necessary roughness, all right, So listen, gentlemen.
The Warriors Clay Thompson has injured hisother leg, his right leg Wednesday.
Tessians are being done to determine howsevere the injuries are. So my
question is how does he stay mentallyfocused? Cej Let's start with you.
(13:41):
Well, Clay, it's unfortunate thatthis has happened. Um, He's not
the first who have gone through somethinglike this. There have been multiple other
athletes, both in the NFL,NBA, NHL, I mean all through
the sports world who have gotten injured, fought their way back only to reinjure
(14:01):
again, maybe on a different bodypart, maybe the same injury. This
isn't uncommon. Um, he justhas to stick to what got him through
the first time. You hit therehab hard, you you know, just
stay positive, stay with it,and you'll get back out there. I
know it's a it's a big,you know, let down, because you
(14:22):
you definitely wanted to get back outthere with your teammates, but you just
you just have to stay with it. I mean, it is what it
is. Now. It's unfortunate.Like I said, it hurts because I've
been there. You know, I'vebeen the guy who who tours ACL one
year and then battled his way backto get back on the field, only
(14:45):
to come back and then break hisankle the next year. Um. So
it sucks. I mean, itjust downright sucks. You. You look
like you look at it like whyme? You know, why is this
happening? What did I do wrong? But play? You did nothing wrong?
All right, Just continue to rehab, be positive, get after it,
and you will get back on thecourt. And you will, you
(15:07):
will, You'll be all right. My heart, my heart, My thoughts
and prayers go out to clay Manor hope he recovers. Get Wilson brother.
Yeah, yeah, yes, Scarves, what's your thoughts? Yeah?
It always sucks to uh to hearabout injury. I mean, of course,
you know, I'm I'm a diehardCleveland fan. Uh go Calves and
(15:30):
of course you know, we knowthe Calves and the Warriors went back and
forth for four years. But atthe end of the day, you know,
human life and you know being healthyis more important to me than the
sports. And we don't want youknow, it's never good to see somebody
(15:52):
be injured and taken away from doingwhat they enjoy what they love doing and
how they support their family. Soyou know, definitely want him to get
better, hopefully. I don't thinkthat they didn't determine the severity of it,
correct, They didn't know not yet. They're still doing They're still trying,
(16:15):
they're still trying to figure that out. So it's going to be interesting
to see what comes up in thenext couple of days, because successful jos
will be coming out soon. Yeah, so hopefully it's not that severity can
get back on the court. Yes, yes, all right, So let's
switch over to the Cleveland Cavaliers, gentlemen. The Cavalier guard Kevin Porter Jr.
(16:41):
Was arrested for Harry mccafie weapon troops. The troopers responded to a single
vehicle rollover christ Sunday morning. Duringinvestigations, troops founded a load of forty
five and a suspicion of marijuana. How do you think the Calves should handle
this issue? And do you thinkthe league just to spend him guards go
(17:03):
first? Um? I think thatthey need to have him apologize and you
know, in doing so, he'sgonna have to repeat the entire Curtis Blow
basketball song. Um, just throwingthat out there. I'm just down the
(17:27):
court. We're playing basket. Okay, you're you're offsket your key your keys
off. But sorry, sorry, but no, I was just when I
saw that, I'm just like,no, this is not this is not
good. This is terrible. Uh. You know, young guys got to
(17:52):
realize, you get you gotta setan example. I mean, you're being
paid a lot of money to notonly play the sport, but to be
an example in the community. SoI'm sure that you know, if I'm
sure that you know, there's goingto be some sort of something that comes
with this because you know, I'msure that Dan Gilbert Gilbert is not gonna
(18:17):
want to play around H with that, you know, you gotta be focused
on the game. Um, andyou know, just you gotta relax.
Like so, so with with thegun, I'm I'm assuming that he did
not have uh, he did nothave his concealed license. I I'm assuming
(18:40):
not. However, the report doesn'tsay anything about it. Okay, so
this is information that we actually needbecause you know, if he does have
that H, then you know itshouldn't be an issue. That part of
the stop should not be an issue. If he does have a license,
for it. Well, I'm assuminghe doesn't because he was charged. Oh
(19:03):
then never mind. Then everything thatI just said would just throw that out
the window. Um, but stopsmoking weed while you playing. The season
is right spread around the corner likeyou know, the I is it gonna
be on you gonna be on playersat the beginning of the season, right,
(19:26):
don't you think so? Yeah?CJ. What's your thoughts? As
Stephen A. Smith says, stayoff the weed quote Erica, let me
ask you this, what time Sundaymorning was? Was this incident recorded or
reported in the morning? Sunday morning? Two fifteen in the morning. What
(19:49):
good happens at two fifteen in themorning? Huh? Nothing? Nothing?
What are you doing out especially nowin these times? What are you doing?
I mean, it's how how sillycan you be? You're in the
(20:10):
NBA and this this, this kindof irks me because I'm a guy who
who has tried to do everything theright way in my career, who who
tried to get to the highest level, and I was able. I'm thankful
and especially grateful that I was ableto play in Arena Football League. You
know, so a professional league thatthat you know wasn't was it marketed as
(20:34):
well as it should have been.Probably not no, but you're still professional.
But obviously as a player coming outof college, as any player coming
out of college, Uh, youwant to make it to those big leagues,
the NBA, NHL, NFL.You know, uh FIFA has they
said FIFA, but you know whatI'm talking about MLS. I'm sorry,
(20:56):
but when when people make it tothese big times levels, um, and
then they do something stupid to toto mess up that opportunity that hundred stay
lost. The damn we don't listenstupid right there. I was just about
(21:21):
to say, Dariel, you mightas well go ahead, and I'm your
Mica, my man Stephen CJ J'sin the middle of a statement ahead and
thank you for that, because thatit just hammers home the point, like
just stay off it, bro.You you know that there's there's testing for
it. You know that you're notsupposed to have the gun. You're not
(21:45):
supposed to have the weed I mean, and then you're out at two fifteen
in the morning. You're in aposition that thousands of kids who dream about
being in a position that you're in, and you're squandering it. You're you're
it's almost like you're spinning in everybodyelse's faces who's working hard to try and
get to that level. Man,you better grow up or get left out.
(22:06):
Man, I'm telling you that rightnow. If he gets another shot
as far as what the league shoulddo and what the team should do,
suspend his ass, because I itreally urts me when these guys get opportunity
at the highest level and then theygo out and they do something stupid like
this. Don't don't blow it,man. Yeah, they have a platform.
Yeah yeah, yeah. I'll getoff my high horse now and I
(22:34):
will say, this is my concern. And of course we always see athletes
doing stupid stuff. We've talked aboutthis, you know before, publicly and
privately. But my concern is alwaysif it begins to look like it's a
pattern, because of course we lookat you, these are young guys.
(22:55):
A lot of these guys are damnnear still kids getting millions and millions of
dollars, right, so you expectsome of them to do stupid stuff.
When it becomes a pattern, that'swhat becomes concerning to me. Now.
Kevin Porter Junior especially, he isa huge and very important part of the
Cavalier's future. He is one ofthe guys on that team that people look
(23:18):
at talent wise and say, thiskid could become a superstar one day.
Not just a star, not justan all star, but a superstar.
Now, the reason why the Cavalierswere able to get him in the first
place is because he went from beinga projected lottery pick to damn near dropping
out of the first round because ofoff the court issues. So if you've
(23:44):
already seen, that's what concerns me. I, like Kevin Porter Jr.
I hope for the Calv's sake thathe can get this because he's We've seen
flashes he could be that dude. But I just hope and pray that the
Calves aren't in a situation, aren'tin a Josh Gordon Brown situation right where
(24:06):
you look at a guy like JoshGordon who was immensely talented, I mean
Hall of Fame level talent, buthe couldn't stay off the weed. He
couldn't get out of his own way, and it hurts at some point.
And I'm not saying he's I'm notsaying the athletes should be choir boys and
(24:29):
all of that. And I thinksometimes people are too hard on him in
general, but at some point thatstuff does start to get in the way.
Yeah, it's, um, yougotta make a decision like you You
can't. You can't do both now. Um, you know you can't be
over here and over here. They'regonna hold you the NBA and whatever team
(24:53):
you're on, whether it's the Calves, whether it's the Bulls, whatever team
it is in any of these majorleagues, because of how much money is
being made from these leagues and fromthese teams, They're not going to tolerate,
you know, any of that typetype of stuff, any of the
extracurricular activities. All right, gentlemen, with that being said, we are
(25:18):
about to go on break. Youguys, come back, Go get your
laughytaphies. You're preferably banana and greenbanand green apples and your petsis and your
fancy and you meet us right backmore yo yo yo was popping, was
(25:38):
popping. It is your friendly neighborhood, Simba Aaroni League. Here to remind
you guys to ghost stream my newsingle Tempo on all streaming platforms, yes,
all of them. I greatly appreciateit. Love you guys. We
(26:00):
term the dance floor where we connalive. Len, lose your limbs,
your mini mama, take my hand, show me the best. This is
(26:22):
welcome back, Welcome back you guys. So we have a quick, quick
message. We have a message fromLeVar bar father of Mellow who was drafted,
who was drafted to Charlotte. Um, so listen Charlotte to Charlotte guards.
(26:45):
God, go ahead and go aheadand talk about it. Go ahead
and tell us what you said pastwhat happened. So in the podcast within
the you know this past week, you know, he got on a podcast
and said that, you know,in this business, you're not gonna find
a nice girl, You're gonna finda hole. Go ahead and play that
(27:07):
right quick, just play. Ifyou're in this profession which you got all
this fame and notoriety, how areyou gonna meet a good girl? You're
not? Because what you're gonna meethere in the restaurant where you eat,
or you're gonna go to a clubwhere your dance, or you're gonna meet
here at the arena. So Ihate to tell you you're gonna meet a
whole just I go So yeah, man it just man that guy you know,
(27:41):
like I actually really enjoyed him, just as the character that he is
and the things that he says.Because you do I laugh at It's just
stopped laughing at him. That's whyhe's doing this. I know, but
I can't. I can't help itbecause I can go entertear ain't even just
dude, there's some of the thingsthat he does, and I'm just like,
(28:03):
oh my god, you better. He just said it. He just
lit it. Look, Garbs, you you, you and Erica y'all been
in New York right, of course, When the crazy person on the subway
pulls his pants down and starts poopingon the subway train, do you say,
hey, man, stop that ordo you just ignore him and move
to another train he's looking for fromI'm gonna say, to be honest,
(28:30):
I've never been in that situation.Have you. Like this seems like specific,
like an event, specific thing thatyou actually experienced. Man. Whether
I may or may not have seenthe homeless guy Greg pull his pants down
and poop on the train, yousaw it. It has nothing to do.
(28:51):
Look, you just ignore it andyou move on. That's what is
going on here with LaVar Ball.Stop giving this man attention. Look that
is a calm to say something thatshould just be between him and his son
in his home. Doesn't need tosay anything like that, Like even if
they asked a question. Let's bereal, even if they asked the question
that would prompt that kind of aresponse, Clean it up. Where's the
(29:14):
filter in this man's head that says, Okay, if I say this,
it's not going to look well orplay well for my son, or my
family or my character. Yeah no, I'm not in this. But here's
the reality of it is that alot of pretty much everything that he said
was going to happen with his sonsand his careers has actually came true.
(29:37):
And that ties into the way thathe markets himself and his brand. He
knows that he's a brand, hencewhy they created the Big Baller brand.
And you know, I mean,it's actually worked for him. I don't
necessarily agree with it, of course, guards got a pair of them shoes.
I was about to say, Idon't, but you know if but
(30:00):
now here's the reality. A lotof people have, you know, they
laugh at him, they laugh atit, and you know, oh,
you should have went with this andthis and this and this, But you
know, me personally, I'm twothumbs up and all go ahead for uh,
black people and Latin people taking ownership, you know what I mean,
instead of always just signing all theirrights away, you know what I mean
(30:22):
to another company, they're controlling. He controls their own thing. You may
not like the shoe, you maythink it may not be the best decision
for them financially or branding wise, but the differences is that they own it.
So what about when when his socalled like good friend or business partners
(30:42):
stole money from from big bawling Brandonhis company and his son. You know,
there wasn't he didn't come out andhe did he didn't sound too braggadocious
then, of course, but butyou don't. We don't want that to
happen, whether you know, whetheryou're you know what I mean, because
at the end of the day,you may not agree with what he says,
but you know, number one, that still affects his sons, you
(31:03):
know what I mean. His sonshouldn't have to answer for you know,
things that uh he says as theirfather. I don't think that that's I
don't think that that's a Do youthink that happen? Do you think that
happens though I've heard that, youknow, Vilonzo in particular, things have
been made harder for him in theleague, especially at the very beginning,
(31:26):
because it does and you know soso at some point he does have to
he's going to have to realize,is that he's going to have to because
of how closely he's tied himself tohis son's branding, that he's part of
it now, you know what Imean. And that's one thing that I
(31:48):
think that is a gift and acurse for him because what he does,
if gives him the things that hesays on camera on tape interviews, it
gives them attention, and it putsattention in spot like, But is it
the right way that he should begetting the spot like? You know,
there's other things that he could saythat were are much more not Yeah,
(32:14):
yeah, you think, of coursethere's much more he can say. Look,
look, I get what you're saying, you know what I'm saying,
like like I'm just kind of beingthe antithesis. I get it. I
can get it. But I'm I'mto this point man with him, because
when I think about you know, obviously all fathers are different, but one
thing for a father. And I'mnot one, but I've learned this and
(32:35):
I'm seeing this from my father. But one thing fathers should always do is
protect their integrity and protect their theirsons, you know, image, and
and not do anything to get theirsons and put their sons or family in
harm's way. And I feel likesometimes LaVar will say such inflammatory things that
(32:59):
it's almost like tossing his sons rightinto that fire while he stands back and
watches them burn. I don't doyou think that that's setting his sons for
father? Yes? Yeah, welllook, ultimately, his sons are the
ones that are playing. His sonsare are the ones who are having to
go out and and prove that theyare uh you know NBA players first,
(33:25):
not not LeVar balls. Uh likecircus uh, circus acts. You know
what I'm saying. Like here, ladies and gentlemen, here are my sons.
They can run and jump fast andhi. You know what I'm saying.
No, because look, because sometimeswhen you think about these big deals
(33:45):
that are being made, Look, these guys are like LaMelo's gonna get a
taste of this. Uh, Lonzo'salready getting a taste of this now.
You're big, You're you guys havenames, you guys have uh have have
weight behind you now, and thesecompanies like a Nike, Adidas and these
other brands are gonna want to partnerwith you. But all it takes is
(34:06):
one unauthorized, crazy, off thewall comment from that guy your dad,
to completely cancel the whole deal. And that is what I'm getting at,
where your father should not be theone to put you in that kind of
position like he should. There's nothere's no way my dad if I ever
had a deal with Nike on thetable, my dad would come out and
(34:30):
say, my son's way too goodfor Nike. He should No, I'm
not disagreeing. I'm not disagreeing withyou at all, you know what I
mean. And I'm not saying that, you know, getting one of these
type of deals is a bad thingat all, you know. And I'm
(34:51):
also not to disagree with you thatyou know. He gotta watch what he
say, bro, Like this islike I'm just like when I saw the
clip, I'm just like, areyou serious like that? Why actually let
somebody record you say in this righthere? Bro? Like, what do
you want that much attention on yourself? Is that what it is, because
that's what I think it is.Part of the Yeah, I think that
(35:13):
that means just because he's not hehasn't been able to get on the court
and play basketball like his sons. You know what I'm saying, he didn't
make it to speaking of that,I wanted to put this on the table
real quick to get y'all to reactto him before we right out of time.
Now, LaMelo was drafted by theHornets, Michael Jordan's Hornets, so
we'll actually get to see maybe ifLaVar Ball was right, and I remember
(35:35):
what you say that he could beatMichael Jordan one. It's time now,
you know it now too. Idon't know if I can say this,
Darvo, but LaVar will get hisass busted all right by Michael Jordan.
Jordan. Michael Jordan can walk onthe court right now against a twenty nineteen
(35:59):
eight sen year old and give himthe business at however old he is.
Was he fifty something up there?Yeah? Yeah, And he'll probably bring
a damn camera with him and makeit, you know, the last Dance
documentary too, you know, WorldStreet Ball Edition with Michael Jordan, I
(36:19):
was saying, And he'll have theperson that he just crossed over. He'll
have LeVar come and sit down inthe interview chair and say, well,
LeVar, you know, tell ushow you felt about having both your ankles
critically fractured by a fifty plus yearold Michael Jordan. You have said that
you could beat in a one onone game. All I do is my
big faller branch shoes. You see, I could beat Michael Jordan if it
(36:44):
was sunny and seventy degrees outside andthe wind had a cross wind of nineteen.
But I don't Yeah, I don'tcare. We're gonna see. We're
gonna see. Would love to seeit. I would love to see a
one on one game with Michael Jordanand LaVar Ball and Michael Jordan just completely
wreck shop on it. Actually, you know what I would like to see
(37:07):
is that I would like to seea one on one game on any of
these like sports announcers and anybody thatthey talked bad about, you know what
I mean, Like that's what Iwant to see, Like like let's let's
see. You know, I knowsome of them have played, you know
too, But that's what I wouldenjoy seeing, you know what I mean?
With some of these young guys thatare actually in shape and practicing regularly,
(37:28):
like go against all these guys thatlike really talk a lot of trash
against him. Right, well, set it up. We set it up,
all right, call the bookie,Let's get this set up. Man,
LaVar Ball, Michael Jordan is goingdown. I can't wait. You
know what, maybe maybe LaVar iskind of like my Jaguars. You know,
(37:50):
he's just laying low and just theleague just didn't know about the he
was Hey, I think you goyeah, Jack Wars. We love them
all. So listen. With thatbeing said, we're gonna have to wrap
it up and go and break justreally really quick. Everybody, go ahead
and sit in front of the fireplace. Get your some moores, get you
(38:12):
a warm blanket, cover up.We'll be right backing me right. Yes,

(39:30):
We're going to do the cast.So the owner, Dan Gilbert, says
he wants the team to win morethan nineteen games every year. His goal,
well, the whole team's goal isto make the playoff contender in twenty
twenty one. Question do you thinkthey can get over this hump and make
it to the playoffs? Contention?Gus you first, of course, and
(39:55):
you know his comments are rightfully said. You know, at the end of
the day, the city of Clevelandwants a winner. Cavs fans want a
winner, and as an owner,I'm sure that he wants a winner as
well. So I'm sure that theycan get over the hump. But you
know what, I always what wewere talking about earlier, before you know
(40:17):
we were doing this episode, ishow interesting it is that, you know,
losing a player or a few playerscan affect an entire team's culture and
their ability to actually win and makethe playoffs. Agree day, you think,
(40:37):
well, no, duh. Ofcourse he wants his team to be
a playoff contender. Every owner wantstheir team to be a playoff contender.
Now, despite what Guards and allof you think, I do not hate
Cleveland Sports now. I don't hatethe Browns, I don't hate the Calves.
I'm just stating my logical facts. As far as them being a playoff
(40:58):
contender next year, I don't seeit. I still think they got a
little time that they need to taketo kind of rebuild this thing and get
it back going in the right direction. Losing the time this year due to
COVID I think might have set themback just a little bit because that sets
back some of the development for thoseguys. That could have used the whole
season to kind of learn take thebumps and bruises of being a low tier
(41:22):
team, and then growing to abetter position as the years come. So
next year I kind of doubt it, but I think moving forward, as
they gain pieces and gains of freeagent acquisitions, I think they will be
a contender again. Go ahead andjump in. Yeah, So, I
think I think there's two different thingshere is playoff contention and championship contention.
(41:45):
Those are two different things. Nobody'ssaying that they're going to be championship contenders
or even in the road of championshipcontention this upcoming year. But I don't
think it's unreasonable to expect them togo to playoff contention, especially when the
NBA is going to have a playin again, so the tenth up to
(42:07):
the tenth seed. If you're thetenth seed, you have a shot to
make the playoffs. I don't thinkit's unreasonable to say, hey, can
you can you shoot for the tenthseed and try to play and try to
win the play in tournament, Like, I don't think that's I don't think
that's unreasonable. So I would expectthe Cavaliers they won what nineteen games in
(42:28):
the last two like last this pastseason and the season before that. They
better show improvement, they better getthey they better start doing much more than
what they're doing. And I thinkreal quick, the Miami Heat is a
perfect example of the fact that youdo not necessarily have to completely tank and
(42:49):
completely destroy your team in order tobuild it back up. To contention,
the Miami Heat never really rebuilt afterLebron lef and d Wade eventually retired and
so on and so forth. Theynever really did do a total rebuild.
They did a retool and they stayedcompetitive. There was some years they made
(43:12):
the playoffs, some of years theydidn't. There I don't see any reason
why the Kevaliers can't do that.I don't This idea that you have to
tear the team down in order tobe competitive is foolish to me. You
don't necessarily have to do that becausefor every team that is a Philadelphia seventy
six ers, there's a Sacramento Kingsor an Orlando Magic or a Charlotte Hornet's
(43:36):
people who have been rebuilding for twentyyears. Yeah, very true, very
true. But I think a lotof that whole rebuild thing comes from people
that don't actually play. I'd agreewith that. I'd agree with that,
you know, and people that aren'tin the games or you know, they
just watched, like you could bean expert as much as possible, but
(43:59):
if you actually haven't played the game, you know, you gotta gotta watch
what you said. That's just myperspective and moving along, gentlemen, Moving
along. So, the NFL hasissued a COVID nineteen mandate to all thirty
two teams to reduce potential transmission forthe virus. My question is, what
(44:25):
has the NBA done that that hasmade it hard to replicate the COVID nineteen
protocols guards You first, well,we're in rone gate right now. You
know, at the end of theday, the NBA, you know,
they were able to create a bubbleand have everybody there at the same place,
(44:51):
you know, minimize outside influence, outside visitors, and when they had
those outside visitors, as those peoplehad to quarantine themselves prior to them coming
into the bubble. Unfortunately, youknow, as we've talked about before,
I don't think that that's necessarily possiblewith the NFL because you have so much
(45:14):
more. You have so many morepeople involved, you know, and on
the sidelines that are intricate parts ofthe actual team. So I don't know
if it's even possible, but they'regonna have to do something to get it
under control because if they don't,then the season is going to end up
(45:34):
being a wash. And there's everysingle week there's more reports of more and
more people coming down with this, you know, And then a game is
played, and then such and suchperson is tested from one team and he
has it, and then a coupleof days later, oh, such and
such from the team that they playednow has it as well. And that's
(45:55):
you know, to be expected. You know, you're close, they're tackling
people and right in the same erroras them, very close. So it's
something is gonna have to happen. They're gonna have to figure it out.
(46:15):
Uh, you know, I understandthat it may be a lot more challenging
and a lot being maybe a lotmore expensive for them to do something and
keep people, you know together,But they're gonna have to figure it out.
What's your thoughts, Yeah, justreal quick, man, It's it's
kind of the same old story.Look, we talked about it. NFL
(46:37):
has just way too many people. It's it's a logistical nightmare. It's something
that they're really gonna have to justsit down in hammer out. I'm surprised
it took them this long to decideto issue a league wide mandate halfway through
the season. But uh, Imean, you just have to try and
pick what worked with the NBA andtry and try and duplicate it the best
as you can. Uh, thisis something that you're you're not going to
(47:00):
be able to eradicate completely, butyou can slow it down, um and
and and keep trying to keep everybodysafe. Man. Just it's it's I
can't honestly give you an answer reallybecause we don't have the answers right now.
It's just something they're gonna have tolook at and work through. All
right, gentlemen, it's about thattime. Hold onto your trousers. It's
(47:22):
time to take them to touch cej ze grace. How sweet the sound
that see rich watch this down.Lie once was lost, but now m
(47:49):
was blind, but now here itcomes. I s yes, Amen,
amen and amen, giving amazing honorand phrase to the most high end of
court phrases to you for joining ushere against today. I am the Honorable
Reverend Doctor, I'll be good andit is my pleasure to welcome you to
(48:09):
the Saint Ebeneza's Temple of Higher Living, Learning and Loving down by the riverside,
underneath Mount Vernon's ginger Ale House ofPope and Honey baked Ham Believer's Boat,
House of Butterball's Turkeys, Faith ofa mustard seed, past the mustard
Please, Cathedral of Cotton, Candy, sweet and low. Now let me
see your tabernacle role Baptist Church IncorporatedChurch once again. You may have noticed
(48:35):
a minuscule change in the name andlocation of the church once again. Amen,
as Thanksgiving us finally just days away, I myself and me as well
as Deacon Guards and Deacon as Erica, felt it was necessary to reach out
to these heavy hitters in the Turkeyday industry and an effort to secure a
sponsorship for the church's annual Thanksgiving Dayfeast. Amen. Some of you may
be thinking, but pasta, Ithought we paid for the feast through the
(48:58):
church's fund rush. I say ye, a little faith in minding thine own
business. Those funds have been reallocatedinto another fund to help in all ever
growing church on the go fund whichpays for our constantly moving sanctuary of Salvation
here in this place. Amen. But speaking of movements and relocations, Church,
(49:20):
we're going to do a little somethingdifferent today. As I have felt
the spirit moved within me and throughoutthis most holy of tabernacles, I asked
now that Deacon Guards and Deaconess Ericcould come up and join me and the
church. Get on your feet andbow your heads, because I feel of
my dead prayer coming on for aswe have made it about halfway through the
season, these sevent teams have reachedout to me and my prayer services for
(49:42):
thanksgiving miracle of a victory this upcomingweek, much like the DeAndre Hopkins hail
merrit cats over three Buffalo Bills defendersat the end of regulation where he rolls
up and he said, give methat. But speaking of hot let's hop
on over to the Houston Texans attwo and seven. Deandre's old team,
who have at this time have tofeel like a next seeing their old squeeze
(50:02):
doing bigger and better now with amuch better looking significant other. And now
the Texans are stuck in a rutbecause they suck Hold this l Texans moving
on, I'm charged up now.And speaking of a charged up, the
La Chargers are at two and sevenare looking like they might have blown up
spark Plug because they have blown moregames than when Deacon Guards went to a
(50:23):
monopoly convention with the leaf blower andthe high powered industrial wind tunnel fan and
a nasty This position for people whohold all the railroads and get out of
jail free cards. Get over yourchildhood board game, trauma Guards, we
pray the charges get over the humpfather. Next father, we have the
bunkles, I mean the bankers attwo and six, pick up sticks,
(50:45):
and while you're added, pick upsome offensive linemen for Joe Burrows, since
sus he is the best thing tohappen to since since our aj Green got
drafted. But lord, if youdon't get him some protection, the next
thing being picked up will be JoeBurrow's teeth off the field. Oh lord,
think of the dental bills. Butnext up on the bill, it
(51:08):
is my favorite, your favorite M, the Church's favorite M and Jacksonville jack
Wise at one in eight. Yeah, we a bit late, but don't
worry because we on the rise, because much like real jaguars in the jungle,
we're in disguise, murring the wholeleague into a false sense of security
(51:29):
before we attack, but then getsmacked back and lose again, but we
still win in fan experience. Ohyeah, and there's the Jets at oh
and nine. That's it, They'reoh and nine. They're terrible. Okay,
if you insist the Jets, mayas well just book another flight because
the jet they're on has apparently failedto launch the season. They've got a
(51:50):
one way ticket to the town ofElls. And then there's Washington, the
Washington, the Washington. Oh lord, I don't even know what to call
them. Are they a team? Are they good? Are they even trying?
At two and seven, maybe youcould just be called the Washington twenty
sevens because I don't see them scoringmore than twenty seven points the rest of
(52:12):
the year. Go find yourselves,Washington. And finally, Church, let's
yell a mighty it's health mightily forthe Dallas Cowboys, who, with the
owner Jerry Bones Jones, thinks thathaving all the money in the world equates
to having a good football team.Well, how much money did you spend
to get your team to two andseven? Because for a team who hasn't
(52:35):
been better than eight and date. For the last few years, it's starting
to look like money may not buyyou happiness, nor will it buy you
wins on the field. But misterJones, if you see fit, instead
of dumping your money into an eightand Nate dunk, jump your money into
our church's collection plate. How aboutthe cowboys? Yes, Father, you
(52:55):
have heard our mighty prayer, asthese teams desperately are looking to you for
a victory and claiming it now.And your most holy and fantabulous of names,
and all these things we pray.Hey man, Deacon Guards and deaconess
Erica, please Colson locked the sanctuarydoors as we collect our thirty seventh and
two fits collection of the day.Mister Jones, I'm looking at you and
(53:20):
remember Church, No, my,how crazy this world made you, you
don't have to worry about me becauseI be good. Hallelujah. With that
being said, ladies and gentlemen, thanks for stopping by. We'll see you
again next time, next week, right here, at the same time,
(53:42):
same place. Necessary roughness, staysafe, much love, so next time
