Speaker 2 (00:49):
Hey, folks, how you doing? Wayne Spuresnewwestradio Productions dot Com
is the website to go to information in the show notes.
It is the fourteenth of July twenty twenty five. Let
me ask you all the question and I'm just gonna

(01:09):
put this out here For those who are creative, For
those who are you know, doing podcast or doing voiceover
or writing any type of copy for any type of show,
there is right And I want to ask you're creative? Right?

(01:35):
All right? Let me put you in a scenario, and
it may take you anywhere between twenty to thirty maybe
a little few more hours longer than that, to create
the script for the podcast you want, Right, what if

(01:55):
there was a tool that could help you cut that
time in half? What if there was a tool that
could give you an advantage in cutting that time in half?
You'd use it, right, because you want to be more efficient.
You want to get onto some other things as well.

(02:16):
You want to edit, you want to do all it, right, Okay, Okay,
I get it. Okay. Now you go into the studio,
you go into your cubicle there to record your podcast. Okay,
let me ask you this. How many hours does it
take you to record? Doesn't take you that long, right,
But to edit the audio, to add certain things to

(02:38):
it that you want to develop, certain ideas within that podcast,
it takes you a little while. So let's add another
maybe five to eight hours on top of that twenty hours. Right.
What if there was a tool that can cut that
time in half. Well, I'm pretty sure you'll use it. Right,

(03:02):
So I do voiceovers, I create my own audio fiction,
and then I do the voices, and I do you know,
and I reach out to other people. But I'm seeing
here's what I'm seeing that anybody who uses artificial intelligence,

(03:23):
it's as Mini Max or Gemini or or Suno or
you know, co Pilot or whatever. These people are saying
to me and to the general public, we don't want
to use AI in any fashion whatsoever for our podcast.

(03:44):
So I'm still I still have you in this type
of situation. But if It cuts down your production time,
makes it more efficient, gives you various notes, and refines
your podcast script. Wouldn't you use it? Over one hundred

(04:09):
years ago, people had hand drills that they would use
in construction of buildings. They would either use, you know,
little pieces of steel to drill a hole, hitting the
end with the hammer. And then they got creative and
somebody developed a handle where you can put your hand

(04:31):
on and then put the drill bit in the end
of it and then crank it right you would, you know,
like you would crank an old style car like a
Model A or whatever. And then somebody got a wise
idea years later to create pneumatic drills that they used
in mining back in the eighteen hundreds nineteen, you know,

(04:56):
early nineteen hundreds. Okay, All these things that were created
were used as tools to make the operation more efficient,
more effective, more productive. It helped them decreased time and

(05:19):
to get the job done a lot sooner. They began
to measure how much time it took one way over
how much time it took with new tools, and they
found efficiency, and they found productivity increased, and they found
all this other stuff, and people were screaming and yelling,

(05:40):
and back in the nineteen fifties and sixties and such,
when robot arms became the norm in auto manufacturing in Detroit,
people are saying, that's going to put us out of business. No,
it didn't. It laid people off. But guess what those
people did. They turned around and learned more about robotics

(06:06):
and how they could be an asset to the company
by repairing those things if something went wrong. So it
didn't cause them to lose a job. It caused them
to increase their skill set. You see what I'm saying.
So I'm still I still have you in this scenario.

(06:28):
You do your job, You write this podcast. You've got
several that you're working on for the week. And what
took you well over one hundred hours to do with
writing the script, editing the script, recording the podcast, editing
the podcast, putting in certain you know breaks, and all

(06:48):
of this took you over one hundred hours to create,
you know, several podcasts within the week. What if there
was a tool that could cut that down by it,
you'd use it, wouldn't you. Yeah, And you look at

(07:09):
the script and you give it to an editor and
they say, well, this word and this sentence and this
kind of concept and well we need to cut this
because it's too long and all that kind of crap. Right, Well,
when you pop all of your script concepts into AI
Gemini Copilot, whichever one you use, it's going to refine

(07:31):
it and make it sound better and develop in your
own voice those things you want to say, and do
what needs to be done for that particular podcast. Now,
right now, you're hearing my voice right now. I don't
believe in using voice AI voiceover. I don't. This is

(07:55):
me human being right here, This is who I am.
But the fact of the matter is is that people
are really, really, really scared about using any of it
because they think it's oh, it's terrible, doesn't have emotion. Really,
have you researched it? I've still got you in this scenario.

(08:19):
So I'm gonna ask you a question. Have you researched it?
Have you oh, let's say, updated your skill set? So
now let me take you out of that scenario. Because

(08:40):
I create audio fiction, because I create you know, entertainment
for people. I have had people ghost me in emails
because I tell them straight up, I do not use
AI in voiceover. I use human voices. But they don't
have anything to do with me, because the script was

(09:03):
refined by AI. I told you about the hand drill
and all of that from over one hundred years ago
and how it developed what we have today with the
battery operated heart tools and hypertough and all that. These

(09:24):
people literally are scared of their own success. They would
rather spend one hundred hours developing scripts and misspell words
and leave words out. I have that problem, or create

(09:46):
scenarios in their scripts that literally, when you give it
to somebody else, they're going to sit there and go, hey,
wait a minute, what about this? What about that? What
about this? So you're either adding or taking away from it.
When you pop that script concept into AI, it's gonna
analyze it and refine it and make it much better.

(10:12):
And in those script developments, that process will be cut
by at least fifty percent. Okay, And my question to
you is why don't you want to be efficient? Effective
and productive? I never, I never could understand how people

(10:39):
would never want to be productive. Well, I have many
years ago, talked to and for many reasons, talk to
various people, company owners, HR people, and they said the
very thing that that I am fully aware of, because

(11:01):
of the fact that I've worked in my life that
a person who says I've got eight hours at a job,
and that particular job that I'm doing, they've managed to
do in less than five hours, but they're there for eight.

(11:21):
So they sluff off some of the work and if
they don't get it done, they'll get it done tomorrow.
To me, as a business owner, that doesn't work for me.
If you can get if I give you a project
and say I understand how long it's going to take,

(11:46):
that means I've done it in a very efficient manner
before and I know how long it's going to take.
But if you sluff off and say, oh, I don't
have it yet, I've got to add you know, do
that well let me hear it. Well, it's not I
want to hear the rough stuff that you have. I'm
gonna help you. I'm not going to be mad. I'm

(12:09):
just gonna say, well, can we do this and let's
change this over here? Efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity. That's the
key to success no matter what you're doing. You can
be a coach for a little league team, you could
talk to the parents. If it's efficient, effective, and productive,

(12:33):
you're going to win the game. And it's practice, practice, practice,
and you update your skill set as you go along.
So if I have scripts for audio fiction that I
have to do, and I have right now, I'm working
on four of them, if I want to cut my

(12:53):
time in production and be more efficient and effective, I'm
gonna use the tool of artificial intelligence. And it's really simple,
specifically for the creatives that do audio fiction. The ones

(13:15):
I use. I put in the lines I want the
actor to say. All AI does is refine it. It
keeps the lines everything I've written, but refines certain cues
in certain notes. Because it's a tool, that's all it is.

(13:39):
Regardless of whether or not you're pissed off at the
fact that somebody, well I'm not going to work with
him because they use AI. Are you so selfish that
you're not gonna update your skill sets. I'm not an impersonator.
I'm not a mimic. I'm an actor. That's what I do.

(14:01):
I've been on stage for many, many years and enjoy
every minute of it. But as a voice actor, well,
we got to use the tools available to us to
help us be more effective, to help us be more efficient,
and to be help and and to help us be

(14:22):
more productive. Now, you're still going to have to go
into the rehearsals, into the table reads, into you know,
you're still I myself personally can sit there with the
actors and say, if the line seems strange and wrong
and awkward, or the phrasing is way off for your

(14:44):
character that you've developed for this, please let me know,
will change it. Why can't these people who are against
AI and voice over do this because they don't want to.
They don't want to update skill set. They they think
that staying in their lane is all that there is.

(15:07):
It's not. And if you look at the very nature
of what tools are, I don't care what it is,
could be electronic, could be you know, computers, whatever, whatever
it may be. Look at the very nature of the
reason the tool exists. Then ask yourself again, how much

(15:33):
more efficient can my work be? To be more productive?
That's all. That's it. Okay, that's that's that's it. So
if you have any questions, you want to talk to me,

(15:54):
you want to discuss things with me, my email address
will be in the show notes. You guys, rock Man,
you guys are awesome. Podcast today. Didn't want to get
into any of the politics that's going on. You guys
see it yourself. You know what's happening. And I just
wanted to bring this forward because I know that people
are going to be pissed off and upset and cautious

(16:15):
and awkward and all of that. And all I'm saying
is update your skill sets. Use the tools available to
you to do that. That's all I'm saying. And if
you're not going to do that, then what the hell
are you doing? You know, I'm just saying, folks, You
guys rockman, You guys are awesome. Thank you for listening today.
I appreciate it very very much. And if there's any

(16:38):
type of support that you can give this network, please do.
I would appreciate it very much. I got to keep
the lights on in the studio somehow, so if you
can help, thank you. I appreciate that very much. Any Who, folks,
I got to get out of here. I got some
audio fiction to write. So have a great day, have
a great week. We'll talk to you all later.
