Speaker 1 (00:11):
Hello everyone, My name is Spencer Walsh. Welcome to today's show.
We have a good one for you. As always on
the show, today we are taking look at all things
Russia Ukraine, including a big spate of meetings Trump had
with Zelensky, European leaders and Putin and why Trump may
just be being played by Putin and his so called
(00:35):
wishes for diplomacy or he may just be playing the
American people about how close peace really is. Also will
tell you the story of Tom Alexandrovitch, the top Israeli
government cyber security cyber warfare official that was caught Chris
Andson style in a child pedophilia sting in Las Vegas
(01:00):
where he tried to pick up a fifteen year old
for a sexual encounter and was caught red handed by
Las Vegas police. The government sent him back to Israel.
That's the US government that let him flee back to
Israel and escape justice for his crime. Really crazy situation.
There also the insane Maga activist Laura Lumer has somehow
(01:24):
convinced the US State Department to cut off all medical
visas for injured kids coming from Gaza to the United
States to receive treatment. A really just a brallied story
about where we are right now as a country. But
never fear, We're ending on a great news story. Graham
Plattner is running for US Senate in Maine and he
(01:48):
may just be the Zorn of the North. We'll tell
you why stick around for that. On today's episode of
Newsflash gonna be a great show once again, all of
our videos clips from the show up, every segment clipped
up in video form, available for your consumption on these
Spencer Welsh YouTube channels, So go check that out. All
(02:11):
the videos from today's show are out right now, so
you have no excuse either way. With that being said,
let's get into Ukraine. When it comes to ending the
war in Ukraine, We've heard a lot from Donald Trump
and his administration, a lot of talk, a lot of hype.
Things are getting better, coming to a close soon, we
got to stop the dying. But we've heard very little
(02:31):
in terms of anything concrete that has been decided in
Trump's meetings with Putin and Solenskin and the European leaders
over the last few days. And there are still some
serious diplomatic hurdles too. Clear. Let's take a look at
this here from Trump on Fox and Friends this morning
talking about the relationship between Zelensky and Putin and why
(02:53):
maybe they're getting along a bit better than our thought,
and then we'll take a look at the actual context
of the situation.
Speaker 2 (03:01):
Well, I think the fact that maybe they're getting along
a little bit better than I thought. Otherwise I wouldn't
have set up the two meeting. I would have set
up the three at TRILAP. But I think they're doing
a little bit better. There's been tremendous bad blood and
again this was all worked out by an administration that
didn't have a clue. And if you remember, they said, well,
if you made a minor incursion, that would be okay.
Speaker 1 (03:23):
That was that was the end all the introjections.
Speaker 2 (03:27):
Minor incursion. What does that mean? So I think they're
doing okay. I wouldn't say they are ever going to
be best friends, but they're doing okay, and we're just
going to see. So we're setting up a meeting. I
sort of set it up with Putin and Zelinsky, and
you know, they're the ones that have to call the
shots where we're seven thousand miles away. In all fairness,
(03:49):
you know, we have we've spent through the previous administration
three hundred and fifty billion dollars. Europe has spent a
lot also one hundred billion, but it should be reversed.
Speaker 1 (04:01):
Yeah. So there you have there going on a little
bit longer about the spending totals. But the message there
is what's important, and that's oh yeah, Trump and Zelinsky,
they're so close Putininsulinsky are so close to get along.
They're getting. The gulf between them on these issues is closing.
It's narrowing. But really, if you look at just this
(04:24):
report here in the New York Times, it really shows
that there is quite a difference of opinion when it
comes to some very very key issues. The first one
here is going to be peacekeepers and potential security guarantees.
Europe and the Ukrainians are saying, we need some sort
of guarantee of security, possibly European troops on the ground
supported by American air defense so we're not attacked again.
(04:47):
Russia was like, you guys are pissed at us. You
guys don't like us at all. We don't want international
troops on our borders. And our whole big critique of
the West and they're dealings with Ukraine is that they're
trying to quote on what was rightfully a Russian sphere
of influence and people that were much closer to Russia
than the West. So if you have European troops literally
(05:08):
on Ukrainian soil, that's not something that we're going to tolerate.
But again, on the other hand, you know, it's gonna
be very very hard to get Selinsky to just leave
Ukraine essentially undefended without any sort of European or American
support after a potential peace deal among the possibilities. Again
it was discussed there on the peace to keeping front
was not something that was really in any way rejected,
(05:30):
But in terms of any sort of post war plans,
that's one thing to not have agreed on. The real
problem is, you know this Trump is talking about os
kind of set up this meeting between Putin and Zelensky.
It's no big deal. You should give me all these
this crazy praising credit. But the thing is he actually
hasn't even set up any of this meeting going on.
(05:51):
And in fact, in terms of a Trump uh setting
a trilateral or even a bilateral meeting, especially a bilateral
meeting between Putin and Zelensky, it seems like Russia in
particularly is very much pouring cold water on this idea.
Moscow has not confirmed these peace talks in any way.
The crowd Wan downplayed the prospect of face to face
(06:13):
peace talks. Russian state media barely mentioned the possible meeting
between Putin and Selenski in coverage of Monday's talks, and
Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov scoffed at the prospect on Tuesday,
saying in a television interview that while Russia was not
against a meeting, and principle, any contacts evolving top officials
should be prepared very carefully. So it seems pretty clear
they're not interested in really sitting down with Selensky at
(06:37):
this point, and it's because they really have the upper hand.
They can keep pushing here and they can continue to
make a lot of advancements and force the West to
either completely abandon Ukraine or invest tons of more military
resources and expenditures that they absolutely do not want to do.
Trump and his ENVOYE Steve wick Coff suggests that Putin
(06:59):
would agree to European troop deployments in Ukraine as part
of a post war security arrangement to dissuade future Russian
attacks as long as Ukraine does not join NATO and
the Grand Forces aren't organized by the Western Military Alliance.
I don't really know what that means. In terms of
Western it's of course you're gonna have to have some
sort of European troops there. You know, you have Ukrainian
troops like I don't think so, probably not American troops.
(07:22):
Trump would be against that. How's that Well, I don't
know get what Western Military Alliance means. But in terms
of NATO, that has essentially been taken off the table
really by the performance of the Ukrainian military. It's just
in the Russian military and the fact that it's been
a stalemate at this time. So it's not really a
confession that our concession here by the West that Russia
(07:42):
would be particularly impressed with. Russia is also insistent on
territory concessions that Ukraine has refused. Ukraine is insistent on
a ceasefire that Russia has refused as recently as Friday
when Putin met with Trump in Alaska. So that is
another very key issue there is what are you telling
I media to the war ins or some sort ofory
(08:03):
territorial conceptions that Russia is trying to pressure Zolenski to
make and essentially give up more land that even Russia
has conquered up until this point. And then of course
Putin or Zelenski wants Putin to go ahead and end
the war now, which he's not going to do. So
the key is here, they are a long way apart,
and much further apart than what Trump would have you believe.
(08:27):
While Zolensky and Ukraine would purchase ninety billion dollars in
American weapons through Europe as part of security guarantees, he
left the White House that formal agreement towards peace, and
it is really quite unclear how he would be paying
for these weapons with You know, Ukraine has a GDP
of two hundred billion, and this would be half of
their yearly GDP in terms of purchasing all these American
(08:49):
weapons from Ukraine as part of this security guarantee and
also a way to boost some American economy after it's
really been quite extended in terms of of making weapons
for Ukraine. And you can see here with these attacks
overnight Russia llants dozens of hundreds of drunes and missiles
at Ukraine, causing injuries and damage to infrastructure and energy facilities.
(09:12):
Ukrainian indificials said a day after at least fourteen people
were killed in Russian strikes on Ukraine. So this is
a situation where Ukraine is under pressure. Russia is doing
quite well and they don't really have as much incentive
to come to the table as Ukraine, and really at
this point Trump does, so they're not going to do
(09:33):
it really at any time soon in terms of ceasefire
at the meaning on Monday, sam European officials press Trump
on they need to secure an urgencies fire, which they
argue would stop the growing simply in death toll in
Ukraine and create stability for genuine peace negotiations. But because
for some reason Trump doesn't like the words cease fire,
they're calling it a truce. I don't even know, but
that is something that Putin has proved to be absolutely
(09:56):
unable to agree to, and also we've seen Trump has
no leverage to make him agree to it, so he's
kind of been a tough situation. It's like, yeah, we
can make Ukraine new stuff because we pay for their
entire military and existence. But what is going to be
a lot harder for US is getting Russia to do
what we want, because again, they have the military upper hand.
(10:17):
They are, you know, giving all these kind of you know,
they're they're not trying to provoke the ire of Trump,
to be clear, They're they're very much staying away from that.
Especially after the last few months when Putin kept attacking
and Trump got mad at him and really was threatening
him in quite serious ways. Putin says, Okay, we won't
do that. We want to come, we want to make peace.
(10:39):
We respect Trump for trying to make peace, and he's,
you know, flattering Trump's ego. And Trump wants to be
seen as this great peacemaker and deal maker. So Putin
knows that, so he flatters him on that way. But
it's really just a whole bunch of lip service and
very little action, because every sign in the book points
to the fact that Russia is nowhere interested and not
even incentivized to make any sort of concessions towards a
(11:02):
resolution to this conflict. Let's take a look at this
here from Trump talking about the post potential post war
situation for Ukraine.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
Because we've talked a lot about the down Bass region
and what was the feeling in the room, What did
the other leaders say about.
Speaker 2 (11:16):
This, well they understand. Look, everybody can play cute and
this and that, but you know, Ukraine is going to
get their life back, they're going to stop having people
killed all over the place, and they're going to get
a lot of land. But this was a war, and
Russia is a powerful military nation. You know, whether people
like it or not, it's a powerful nation. It's a
(11:38):
much bigger nation. It's not a war that should have
been started. You don't do that. You don't take you
don't take on a nation that's ten times your size.
And you know, military experts, look, look, if it wasn't
for the greatest military equipment, we make the greatest.
Speaker 1 (11:52):
I mean, really two insane things in fact that it
goes on challenge that Trump just blaims Ukrainie for getting
invaded themselves when really it was obviously Russia who invaded it.
And you know, you can get in a whole longer
conversation about Western influence in the Ukrainian government, particularly post
twenty fourteen, But then this whole thing about yeah, stop
playing cute. You know everyone knows Ukraine's going to get
(12:12):
a lot of land. It's like, are you going to
give it to him. You've been trying for the last
three and a half years and it hasn't been working
so far. So I don't really think that he realizes that. Again,
in terms of Russia, he does not have the cards
here and he's talking like, oh, we're going to be
bringing peace. I want to go to heaven. He's talking about,
I want to bring a resolution to this war, but
(12:34):
he doesn't really have the cards to be able to
do that. Here he is talking about why he didn't
call Putin in front of European leaders.
Speaker 3 (12:42):
There are people in the room, and what was President
Prutin's reaction to, like being brought into a phone call
in the middle of your meeting.
Speaker 2 (12:51):
Well, I think they expected it. I didn't do it
in front of them. I thought that would be disrespectful
to President Putin, and I wouldn't do that because they
have not had the warmest relations. And actually President Putin
wouldn't talk to the people from Europe. I mean that
was part of the problem. They had no community, had
no communication. They had no communication with the White House
(13:13):
for years as people died, years with Biden and his
people no communication. Putin told me years it was years
that he spent that he didn't speak to anybody from
the White House, and it was a long time that
he didn't speak to anybody from Europe. No, it's a
fractured relationship. And when I came in, I always had
despite the Russia Russia Russia hoax, which truly was a
(13:34):
very dangerous thing for our country.
Speaker 1 (13:36):
But yeah, so these clips, you just you want him
to say something relevant, but he just gets off in
a just complete tangent. But it is it is again.
It was very very interesting to see his mindset was
just like, oh, I can bring these people together. It
will be no problem, something that I alone can do.
You know, Biden, he was every one of these clips,
he just resorts attacking Biden after two seconds flat. He's
(13:57):
just outraged about you know how bad Biden is. Dude,
you are. This isn't getting you any closer to the
thing that you want to achieve either, And so like
you've got to get somehow, either Ukraine or Russia as well,
to make some very serious concessions because if you don't
do that, you're going to be in a whole world
of hurt. And he apparently even repeated some of that
(14:22):
line about you don't take on a much bigger nation,
and Ukraine was talking about how Ukraine was sort of
a buffer between the rest of Europe and bringing his
whole theories onto that. But you know, the bottom line
in this situation is that when it comes to this war,
Trump really has Russia has the upper hand A and B.
(14:42):
Trump has no way of getting Russia to make the
concessions to the point where Ukraine feels that it's comfortable
to stop fighting. So we're gonna hear a lot of
a lot of bluster, a lot of big promises about
some sort of resolution coming soon and some sort of talks.
But what I think we're really seeing here is especially
the Russian government playing Donald Trump like a fiddle here
(15:02):
talking about all these big promises of signaling we're really
interested in diplomacy, but so far, very very little has
come out of it, and seems to be that Trump
is falling for that every step of the way here
in these negotiations. This is a truly crazy, honestly outrageous
story that shows the lengths that the American government is
willing to go to protect Israel and the Israeli government,
(15:26):
especially when they stand accused of some truly truly heinous
crimes this year is tom Alexandrovitch. Tom Ardiam Alexandrovitch. As
you can see here from the headline in the Guardian,
he is an Israeli government official charged was to listening
fifteen year old girl in Las Vegas. Please say tom
Ardiam Alexandrovitch brought condom and thought he was a meeting
(15:46):
teenager for sexual contact. Some really really horrific, horrific stuff
he was in. He's a cybersecurity director for the Israeli
Cyber Directorate, essentially in charge of using tech in all
its forums to help these are government with their war
aims of genocide. And he happened to be in the
area for the black Hat cybersecurity conference. Classic catchro Better situation.
(16:09):
He texts what he thinks is a fifteen year old
girl for sex, tells her to bring a condom and
all this creepiness like that, And it's not a fifteen
year old girl, it's the Las Vegas Police department, and he,
along with seven other men, is arrested as part of
this broader sting operation against pedophiles in the area. So
(16:32):
then what happens is he, because of the handling of
the District Attorney for Nevada. All seven other guys who
are part of the sting operation, they get their criminal
complaint file, meaning they have to appear in court, their
passport seeds. They're now in the system as criminals awaiting trial,
even though they posted bond. He posts bond, but for
(16:55):
whatever reason, maybe because he's the top is Jellae government official.
His passport's on tape, there's no criminal complaint fout against him,
and he gets on the plane and goes back to
Israel no problems. So he, you know, clearly is not
gonna be facing justice any time soon. Soger and Jetty
of breaking points. He has a kind of great thread
on this that I want to go through, he says.
(17:16):
Alexandrovitch allegedly solicited would he believed to be a fifteen
year old girl for sex. He told police he met
with the FBI in Vegas, had a future meeting with
the NSA, and immediately identified himself as an employee of
the Israeli government. So this guy is he's a pretty
big deal. He's meeting with the FBI, he's meeting with
the NSSA, he is representing the Israeli government in these meetings,
presumably on these cybersecurity matters, and he's at the same time,
(17:41):
you know, maybe a league on his phone trying to
pick up fifteen year old girls. It's a really really insane,
insane situation here, and he's able to essentially get away
with it thanks to our government. And the documents that
and Jeti got his hands on here show that it
was federal agents from Homeland Security and the FBI, which
maybe it was the same when he was meeting with
(18:01):
I don't know that were the first to question Alexandrovitch,
not local police, which is also a little weird. These
agents informed Alexandrovitch immediately they could contact the Israeli embassy.
I guess on his behalf. It remains an open question
why Alexandrovitch is the only person caught in this thing
to not have a criminal complaint found against him. So
(18:25):
this is the big question, and that of course, that
lack of the criminal complaint is what allowed him to
get away and go back to Israel. So this is
the US attorney Sigal Chatta, who is the aforementioned Attorney
general for the District of Nevada on Twitter saying a
liberal district attorney and state court judge in Nevada failed
(18:46):
to acquire an alleged job monster to surrender his passport
which allowed him to flee our country. The Attorney General
ag pamp Bondi just called me outraged and also called
the FBI director cash Pattel. The individual who fledter country
would have had his passport seas by the state authorities.
He must be returned immediately to face justice. So this
is really kind of a unique strategy for her in
(19:07):
terms of just passing a blame to this unnamed liberal
district attorney and state court judge. Because the rest of
the seven guys who were picked up in this operation
by the Las Vegas or Nevada police, they were able
to face charges and they were handled and they were
(19:28):
dealt with completely fine. But for whatever reason, as I
said before, she just happened to screw up with a
guy who was in charge, who was an employee of
the Israel government. And she her office had control over
all eight of these prosecutions. She only messed up with one.
So now, of course she's trying to pass the blame game,
and Sagar ads as to this. You know, Alexander Vitch
(19:53):
remains again, this is the only person here not to
have a criminal complaint filed against him, and the question
is how was he l to escape? And Jedty has
some answers on that as well. A source familiar with
Nevada proceedings explains that Alexandrovitch posted bill and fled to
Israel before appearing before a judge. A criminal complaint needs
to be filed before the restrictions can be imposed on travel.
(20:14):
And that's as as we said both me and and
Sager here, the criminal complaint was now filed by Chada's office.
Alexandrovitch remains the only person caught in the thing who
has not had a criminal complaint filed against him, which
means that no judge could impose restrictions. Alexandrovitch is due
back in court on eight to twenty seven August twenty
(20:36):
seventh for a status check on filing of complaint, But
the complaint that you're supposed to do a statist check
on that hasn't even filed by the office of the
District Attorney. There is no indication yet that he will
even attend his court proceeding in person. It also remains
an open question as to whether the federal agents at
JCI FBI alerted US Attorney Chada, who has been an
(20:57):
openly major supporter of Israel in the past of his
employment with the Israel government of Alexandrovit's employment with the
Israeli government. And that is the thing. The attorney who
was leading these prosecutions and had no problem giving criminal
complaints and getting these other guys under much bigger surveillance
(21:19):
and under kind of in federal costing or at least
securing their restrictions on travel, and failed to do it
for the Israeli government employee. She has been a huge
supporter of Israel for her entire political life. She is
literally Israeli born. Yeah, this is Ali Aberannina, the wonderful
journalist from Electronic Indofada. He says, overnight, Israeli born Trump
(21:43):
appointed US Attorney Chada, who's miird in accused pedophile Tom
Alexandrovitch's cover up de leaded her personal account Shota for
Nevada to hide her genocidal tweets, calling to wipe Gaza
off the map, calling Palestinian's animals and worse. So here's
some of the examples of her tweets from her personal account,
which she is now deleted as she works to help
(22:06):
this accused Israeli government pedophile escape justice and go back
to Israel. There are two million terrorists in Gaza, she says,
Leary was in their homes. The children, even the children
are part of this. It's not just those carrying rifles
and wearing green headlands that's so called the uninvolved. Civilians
are not uninvolved at all, she says. Wipe Causa off
the map. You know, these people are animals. This is yeah,
(22:29):
no statehood ever for these animals, is what she says
about the Palace Indians. So this is what we are
dealing with here. We are like, this is the indignity
that we are forced to endure as Americans with our insane,
insane relationship with Israel. You know, it's not enough for
the American taxpayer to fund at every turn an absolutely
(22:52):
horrific genocide on a daily basis with our own tax money. Now,
what we must do is whenever an Israeli government official
comes to the US for whatever reason, and in the
arresting documents which have now been released, he's like, yeah,
I come two or three times a year, you know,
so how many other times has he done this? How
many other times has he tried successfully to pick up
(23:14):
a fifteen year old girl? You know? So the thing
is now, whenever they come over, we have to let
them come and try and sexually abuse fifteen year old
American girls. How's that right? How's that a sustainable situation?
How is that something that we should ever let our
allies or anybody American, Israeli, French, German, whatever, get away
(23:36):
with when they come to our country. That is an
unacceptable situation. And it shows you the level to which
the American government in the Israeli government have worked to
essentially cover up and support and enable each other's criminality.
And like this, this is the next level of what
(23:58):
I would say is a true amiliation for the American public.
It's just that the support for the genda side, the
support for the genocide in Gaza, that we're doing that
all the time. Yes, that's one thing, but it's again,
it's not even enough for these people. We have to
be even more committed. We have to be even more
devoted to everything that Israel does, which includes now protecting
(24:21):
their government officials and enabling them to commit pedophilia acts
on American soil. With no consequences and no justice. This
is another one of the many, many lows in the
US Israeli alliance, not just for the people of Gaza
and Palestine, but really now for Americans and American society
(24:42):
as well. This is really just a truly depraved story.
Right wing psychopath MAGA activists Laura Lumer has managed to
convince the State Department and Marco Rubio to terminate the
program that was started under the Bide administration but has
been running ever since, that takes these really really badly
(25:03):
injured kids from Gaza brings them into the US. It's
only about three hundred of these one hundred thousands of
kids that have suffered this same fate. But it was
too much for Laura Lumer the idea that these palstining
kids were getting treatment, and she has convinced Marco Rubio
to terminate the program, suspend their visas, stop them from
(25:24):
coming over to get this treatment. These visas were just
for medical treatment. They couldn't work, they couldn't apply to
stay longer after their treatment was done. It was only
for these medical treatment. It was a small percentage of
the injured kids. The very least the United States could
do for all the pain and suffering that It's caused
with its bombs that's been giving Israel in Gaza. And
(25:47):
this was done here as you can see on your
screen here by Laura Lumor's proud islamophobe Magas psychopath activists,
who tweeted this a few days ago saying exclusive, despite
the US saying we are not accepting Palstinian refugees into
the United States to under the Trump administration, I've obtained
video footage of Palestinians who claim to be refugees from
Gaza coming into the United States via San Francisco and Houston, Texas.
(26:09):
This month. The Palestinians traveled from Gaza to the US
with help of a group called Heal Palestine. How did
Palestinians get visas under the Trump administration to get into
the United States? Did State Department approve of this? How
do they get out of Gaza? Is Marco Rubio aware
of this? So yeah, these tweets go viral, They get
(26:30):
a lot of attention on the kind of Maga right,
This gets up to Congress people and now as a
drop site reports after the far right influencer raised online
about a few severely injured Palestinian children arriving in the
US for life saving, life saving medical interventions. The State
Department announced that had suspended all visitor vises from Gaza.
(26:50):
Here is you at tag Secretary Rubio in the department
a series of frenzied posts on a few days ago
demanding wounded palstin and children be barred from receiving medical
care in the US. And this is of course from
the nonprofit here Heal Pales sign. Here's what Marko Rubiu
had to say on face ination about why this was happening.
Speaker 3 (27:08):
Why would some of these kids, for example, who are
coming to hospitals for treatment be a threat. Well, first
of all, it's not just kids, it's a bunch of
adults that are accompanying them. Second, we had outreached from
multiple congressional offices asking questions about it, and so we're
going to reevaluate how those visas are being granted, not
just to the children, but how those visas are being
granted to the people who are accompanying them, and by
(27:30):
the way, to some of the organizations that are facilitating it.
There is evidence been presented to us by numerous congressional
offices that some of the organizations bragging about and involved
in acquiring these visas have strong links to terrorist groups
like Hamas, and so we are not going to be
in partnership with groups that are friendly with Hamas. So
we need it, we're going to pause those visas.
Speaker 1 (27:50):
Yeah, so he's saying, there these two parts they're coming
over with the parents are bringing the children. That's apparently
a problem, the parents of these kids that are about
to die, who only have one thing on their mind
because they're human beings, which is curing their their brutally
gravely injured children. And then these with no evidence, and
(28:12):
you doesn't have to provide evidence because it's Israel and
America and they do whatever they want. They have no
respect for any sort of moral decency or any sort
of logical legal processes when it comes to especially the
issue of treatment of the Palestinians. He says, without any
sort of evidence, and again he's not gonna provide any
anytime soon, that these people that were coming in were hummas.
It just it is beyond parody at this point, like
(28:35):
this is just the immense to humanization. The events depravity
that has been on display is just beyond parody. This
this woman Laura Lumer was a few years ago chaining
herself to the Twitter HQ when she was banned, like
this person is a lunatic, deeply mentally, deeply like in
love with Donald Trump, Blake and I say in love,
(28:56):
like in love with Donald Trump, who has thrown herself
at him, desperate to try and get his attention. And
this is what she uses it for because of her
real deep haate that is shared by a strong cross
section of the Republican Party in the American public at large,
for Muslim people and people from these countries that she
believes to be inhuman don't deserve life, don't deserve to
(29:19):
be present, to exist within the boundaries of the United States,
and at best should be put in some sort of
the worst possible environment, the worst possible conditions, where she
never has to hear from them again. And that has
been the attitude of the trumpministration top to bottom, as
evidence by the fact they're listening to her and they're
shutting off these just even a few hundred kids coming
(29:41):
for these life saving medical interventions, that is too much
for these people.
Speaker 3 (29:46):
There was just a small number of them issue to children,
but they come with adults accompanying them obviously, and we
are going to pause this program and reevaluate how those
visas are being vetted and what relationship of any has
there been by these organizations to the to the process
of acquiring those visas. We're not going to be in
partnership with the groups that have links or sympathies towards
(30:07):
Hamas Secretary.
Speaker 1 (30:09):
And again they've expanded that definition that sympathies to Hamas
definition so much that it could mean literally anything and
anything could be used and an excuse to say, oh,
you know, is any sort of support statement in support
the Palestinians put out by anyone even associated with these
organizations that now counts under Marco Rubio's America where free
(30:33):
speech is non existent when it comes to Palestine as
providing material support for Hamas. It's just ridiculous. It's just
completely soulless behavior. And this stuff is why I think
the issue resonates with so many people. It's not just
the fact that on the specific issue of Palestine, you're
show you know, you're denying these kids this medical treatment.
You are showing yourself to be completely depraved and representing
(30:57):
America across the world as a soulless entity that cares
nothing about basic responsibilities of humanitarianism when has the clear
ability and opportunity to do so. And that is and
I've been plenty critical of the bad things that America
has done throughout various presencies. That is a new thing
(31:17):
of the Trump minstration. We've always tried in America to
have some sort of humanitarian presence, giving out aid, giving
out medical support, I mean, from USCID to this to
shutting down any sort of foreign aid to anyone. It
is very very clear that we are abandoning these responsibilities
(31:39):
and completely changing our image on the globe, not to
mention completely abandoning these Palestinian kids who's suffering. As I
said before, we are responsible for we are providing these weapons.
It is like it is really really horrific and depressing stuff,
especially the fact that this stuff gets listened to. And
as you're see, there is an announcement here from the
(32:01):
Department of State on the bottom saying all visitor visas
from Gaza are being stopped while we conduct a full
and throw review of the process used to issue a
small number of temporary medical humanitarian visas in recent days.
And then she says Laura Lumer says, following the release
of my reports yesterday exposing flights of gosins arriving at
all airports across the US, the State Department announced that
(32:23):
all these revises are gonna be stopped while the US
conducts a full review and essentially restating the quote that
I've just read. This is fantastic news. Thank you to
Secretary Rubio for your prompt response to this invasion of
our country by angios that have been accused of being
pro Hamas. And this is not even saying they aren't
like they've been accused. It's just a complete like evidence
(32:45):
echo chamber where you just exist with no facts, no
sense of reality, and use it as a justification for
your previously held beliefs, which is that gosins are not
human and deserve no medical treatment. And there there's scum
which be kept as far away from US borders as
humbly poss There are doctors in other countries. The US
is not the world's hospital. Well, there aren't doctors and
(33:06):
hospitals in other countries, including Gaza that Israel has blown
up with US bombs, So that is why they are there.
Laura Lumer and all of those else who are wondering.
It is really just a sign of the depravity that
is existing coursing throughout the American right and much of
American society, especially towards Palestini. It's here in general, and
(33:27):
here are some of these kids that are talking about
their time in uh he he'll Palestan com here first
mallet time. Yeah, because he needs to swim. Well you're
excited for it's not an I guess so this like
(33:50):
they're talking. These two kids are in wheelchairs. One of
them has uh one and a half legs, one of
them has no legs. Like, these are kids that have
ton on them magical pain and suffering in their lives.
And there's some plastic surgery adult, mentally ill, magal loving
psychopath named Laura Lumer who's out there trying to ruin
(34:11):
their lives. They're just their kids that are trying to
swim in the water, and she's calling them terrorists and
all this stuff. It really is a dark time to
be in America today. Big news coming out of Maine
of all places today, where they may be getting their
own Zoran mom. Donnie's style candidate for US Senate. His
name is Graham Plattner. He is a oyster farmer, former marine,
(34:35):
and he is challenging Susan Collins, the current Republican Senator
of Maine, who always acts like she's a moderate who
doesn't beat Trump, but somehow always ends up voting for
Trump's priorities anyway, and he's disrupting Democratic plans to unite
around the governor. Janet Mills as Colin's opponent. She's not
the worst politician in AUORL but very corporate, it's not
(34:57):
very charismatic, and it's pretty clear that, especially in the
times that we are in today, Maine could use someone
with a little bit more fire in their belly. And
that is exactly who Graham Platner is trying to be.
Take a look at this ad coming out with very
very interesting messaging. We'll break you down. Stay a look.
Speaker 4 (35:20):
But I love most about man of the people. I
have never met people who are more hard scrabble, even
in a place that requires you to work like two
or three different jobs. We have watched this state become
essentially unlivable for working class people and it makes me
deeply angry. My name is Graham Plattner, and I'm running
for US Senate and Maine to defeat Susan Collins. A
(35:42):
decade of military service, going overseas, farming oysters to feed
my community, diving to lend a ham to other fishermen,
trying to start a family. But everywhere I've gone, it
seems like the fabric of what holds us together is
being ripped apart by billionaires and corrupt politicians, yes, profiting
off of destroying our environment, driving our families into poverty,
(36:03):
and crushing the middle class. I did four infantry tours
in the Marine Corps in the Army. I'm not afraid
to name an enemy.
Speaker 1 (36:11):
Oh I love that. I absolutely love that that. It
is very, very similar to the kind of mom daddy
messaging of just like I love Maine, I love his people.
But we are all getting screwed over by a billionaire
class that does not care about us, raising our cost
of living with no end in sight, and we need
to do something about it. I'm gonna be bold. I'm
a fighter, I'm tough, and I can actually change things
(36:34):
and represent things for you. He's hitting all those kee
Moom Donnie points that I always talking about. Is being
unapologetic and advocating for views that would change people's lives.
But he's doing it in a way that's authentic to
him and authentic to people around him, and kind of
his own main working class guy packaging, and I absolutely
(36:55):
love it.
Speaker 4 (36:55):
The enemy is the oligarchy. It's the billionaires to pay
for it. The politicians sell us out, And yeah, that
means politicians like Susan Collins. I'm not fooled by this
fake charade of Collins deliberations and moderation. The difference between
Susan Collins and Ted Cruz is at least Ted Cruz
is honest about selling us out and not giving a damn.
(37:15):
People know that the system is screwing them. They know
it in their bones. Nobody I know around here can
afford a house. Healthcare is a disaster. Hospitals are closing.
We have watched all of that get ripped away from us,
and everyone's just trying to keep it all together. Why
can't we have universal health care like every other first
world country? Why can't we take care of our veterans
when they come home. Why are we funding endless wars
(37:38):
and bombing children? Why are CEO is more powerful than unions?
We fought three different wars since the last.
Speaker 1 (37:44):
Time, and oh, I just love this the way he
frames this here with the just the basic questions that
I've heard through countless different conversation with countless different types
of people that I've had probably would last three four
years about politics. Everybody is asking these questions in different
ways at different times, motivated by different events, but it
is something that everyone can talk about. It is a
(38:05):
question that no one that's gonna be running against him
has a real answer for. It's actually based on the policies.
It's actually based on really the policies that affect people
the most every single day. And you can tell when
he's talking about no one in May could afford a house,
knowing the healthcare costs out of control. You could actually
see this guy talking with friends and being like, Hey,
(38:26):
I'm struggling to afford a house, are you? Yes, I
am too, Like not conversations that Susan Collins would have
with their friends who have all probably owned houses for
twenty years at this point. Like, there is two completely
different perspectives economic perspective, social perspectives, and this perspective. I'm
willing to bet I'm I've been a Maine like twice
(38:47):
three times I don't know the state too well, but
I'm willing to willing to bet a lot of money
that this represents not just the main feeling, the main reality,
better than not just Susan Collins, but also Janet Mills
as well as someone who's not been a politician, who's
had a lot of experience actually living life in Maine
(39:09):
as a normal person would and can talk about it
in a way that channels the feelings of Mayner's properly.
Speaker 4 (39:16):
And we raise the minimum wage. I'm not pretending to
have all the answers, but I know that I'm asking
the right questions. When I tell people around here that
I'm running for Senate at those reaction is what. But
when I tell them why, I'm doing it because I
truly do believe that we can build a system that
is going to represent working people, the number one response
(39:38):
has been, well, thank god, somebody's going to do it.
You're supposed to fight for the things you love. This
is our home, and I will fight tirelessly for it
for you. It's Mayner's first and Maine always.
Speaker 1 (39:55):
Oh, I'll be ready to run through a wall for
this guy. I absolutely love the what he is doing
here From every second of this ad, and it all
follows what I said at the time on a subseec
post and probably on a bunch of podcasts as well.
Is he is connected to the place that he's trying
to represent. He knows the struggles because they are his
(40:16):
struggles as well. They manage. They're different from struggles in
other parts of the country, but not by that much,
and he is honest about them. He comes off as
really comes off as like a normal human who's going
to be getting in there and actually unapologetically advocating for
policies that he's listing here that reflect the problems and
the issues that manners are facing and actually is focused
(40:39):
on fundamentally changing the environment. It is really really cool stuff.
I'd be very interested to see how he does. I mean,
this campaign isn't gonna happen until twenty twenty six, so
there's a lot more. It is just the starting point
and certainly shaking up the natural natural conversation, but it's
it's going to be a model, a blue print going
(41:00):
forward for a lot of different people who want to
take advantage of a moment like this, because people are
more pissed off with not just Republican Party, but the
Democratic Party as well than they ever have been. They
see both parties as the same more than ever before,
and they need somebody who can come in and actually
break the mold and fight for real policies that are
(41:24):
actually going to make a difference in people's lives. Platner
is running this is an article here on putego about it.
He rejects the labor liberal and his announcement sets up
the possibility of clashes between Democratic Party factions over generational change, Israel,
and other issues. Platner said he would not support Chuck
Schumer as Senate majority leader of Democrats managed to take
back control in the twenty twenty six mid term. So
(41:47):
that is a very very real and honest answer, because
you can't be a change candidate trying to support somebody
like Chuck Schumer who's not going to be popular in
kind of a tough rates But there's a lot of
Republican vote like Maine, or even when there's a vote
that involves a lot of the Democratic base because they
want change too. They want somebody who's going to be
unapologetically there to shake things up, to put pressure on
(42:11):
the establishment, not just by being a young, cool guy,
but also by saying this stuff that you're doing on healthcare,
on minimum wage, on endless wars, on so many more
other issues is completely inadequate or in a lot of
cases taking us in the wrong direction. He echoed claus
(42:31):
for Change that the world the party for months, even
though he's a potitical newcomer. Platterers brought on board progressive
strategists who have experienced successfully running establishment favored running against
establishment favorite Democrats. Morris Kats, a top ad maker for
New York City Democratic mayor nominee Zoran Mom Donnie, is
(42:52):
joining the campaign. And Joe Calvello, a former senior age
John Fetterman. Okay, that's that's exciting. But Moore's cats, who
means Ara Mom Donny's ads is joining this guy's team.
So you know when I say it's Wara Mom Donnie
style candidate, I really, I really mean it. It's got
some of the same damn people. Platner embraced a number
(43:12):
of progressive causes. He also zered done on high prices,
a top concern of voters and one that helped fuel
Mom Donnie's rise in New York City. And I think
with this shows here, and it really is gratifying for
this moment is that progressives and kind of the left
wing populace side of the Democratic Party is the only
force right now that has the answers to any of
(43:36):
the problems that are actually bedeviling American voters all across
the country. Whether it be affordability, whether it be the
fact that government is losing touch with Americans in every
sense of the word, whether it be the endless wars
that are being funded, healthcare, you know, all these various issues,
the top issues that matter the most towards the American people.
(44:00):
The progressive side, the left, whatever you want to call it,
the left wing side of the Democratic Party is the
only force in politics right now that can actually put
candidates that are real, appear as human, aren't horrifically racist,
and aren't completely bought off by a PAC or whatever
billionaire funded lobby of your choice. So it is a
(44:22):
very very exciting time to see these candidates rise up.
You know, what they will need to do is be smart,
be aggressive, and relentless on the ground operation because they're
gonna be obviously met with a tide of big money
coming against them and fear mongering against them. And I
think also the fact that you know, he's a white
working class guy is also going to help him a lot,
because that is a much harder figure for the media
(44:45):
to attack and fear monger than a brown Muslim guy
like norm Mom Donnie was in New York City. I
think that's gonna it's gonna help him a lot. But
he is really and all these candidates is are channeling
the feelings of the American people at this moment, the
desire for the affordability crisis, the fact that we're being
ripped off by the rich, and the fact that the
(45:05):
government is completely incompetent and out of control and incapable
of delivering on anything that the American people actually want.
These candidates throughout the country are channeling this anger, channeling
the sentiment in a way that no other political force
is right now and is very very interesting to watch
it all take shape. So Graham Platner, marked that name
(45:27):
down in your record books, because I think we'll be
seeing him in the future for sure. Now that's all
we got for you to day, ladies and gentlemen, I
thank you so much for listening. Once again, all of
the YouTube videos from today show will be out on
the Spencer wallsh YouTube channel. We'll see you soon.
