Su trabajo se centra en el diseño de quimiosensores para detectar sustancias como drogas de sumisión química o agentes contaminantes. Ha registrado cinco patentes y está creando la spin-off Opticalsens SL. También colabora con empresas como Servalesa y aplica sus sensores en la liberación controlada de fármacos.
