going down and some new stuff andyou know, bracing right yeah. Um
so gosh, when was the lasttime we were going Let's start there,
we get interviews some one last homewere going. It's been a lot of

(08:03):
stuff going on in the world. We weren't gonna talk about the coke in
the White House. That We're notgonna talk about that because that's something here
Jack, I don't have no smackin my house. We ain't gonna talk
about the coach they found in theWhite House. And you know, I
was guys, you know see whatI've been telling y'all about this epidemic,
even the wild. So the guyheadyou know what I'm saying, everybody,

(08:26):
This spending off thing is real,This cocaine thing is real. This nothing
is real. Like I'm in thattreatment center, so it doesn't surprise me
that it found his way to thewild. You know, we don't even
know. We started there always likeyou saw these they dropped their pack like

(08:46):
it happened a while, so wedidn't want to move unscripting. UM,
I don't know. I think itwas made maybe April. I think I
was on my way to La.Yeah, right, so I went out
to La met lady Crystal. Wehave an awesome UM music video that we
did on that I have on YouTube, so you can go to my YouTube

(09:07):
page which is missed. Going oneon one nine, UM had the Mother's
Day Bass year in Columbus, Ohio. The Mother's Day Uh dinner and music
gala. UM doing as life's beengoing on in the world. What what
about? What do you think ofthat? You know that we didn't lived.
Um, it wasn't a few thingsthat was going on. Well we

(09:31):
know that a situation that would happenwith the sun thing that's going on,
UM, and a submarine thing thatjust happened as well. What it was,
I was just going for the Titanic. She was the people who perished
going to look at the Titanic andthe submarine it exploded. They were they
was on their way to want it. They were in a submarine. They

(09:54):
were in a submarine on their wayto see the old Titanic. Yeah,
to that spot. Yeah, andthen no, I didn't hear about that.
I knew he was saying something, but you know, I've been working.
I didn't get a chance to checkout. It was a couple of
things that was happening there with arefugee, go I did something. It
was going ahead of to Italy thosepeople, uh, you know, or

(10:16):
in a situation where people side andstuff like that. A few things going
on with that right now. Yeah, and the police is still not letting
up. So we're still hearing storiesabout that kind of stuff. So,
and then they're trying to impeach Bidentalking about that. I know y'all trying
to impeach Biden. Y'all got somenerve when y'all had toughing there. We

(10:41):
didn't have been trying to kick himout. We still trying. Yeah,
how much stuff that I don't try. But I squared good less can they
fart it adn't. Still I said, I can go out there on Fifth
Iven and shoot somebody and nothing thatwill happened. That's really exciting to make
me worried, because I swear tobudness, how many other presidents can get
away with flushing stuff down. Idon't know. They're trying to appeach Biden

(11:07):
all that stop that Trump did thatdon't mean that a peach with out yet
and you don't seem like it meansof them because you can get they did
a peace Trump twice and you know, got him on trial and put him
in gel guy he got back outand like whatever, why they doing that
because they found some cokes. Idon't, I don't know. I don't
know. It's always funning. Somethingwill happen with his some information with un

(11:30):
a writer or something like that.I don't. I don't know the force
gist of it. Most people probablyI feel know what I'm what's going on
with it more than I do.You know, I did see the thing.
I also was trying to Uh.I think they might have eradicated from
the action as well. Oh mygosh, I don't understand what's going on
with the world. Oh my goodness, it's too much. I can't even

(11:52):
y'all all that work, yeah, all that work that are that those are
the sixties and exties and seventies andeighties and all that works. So y'all
get up there with them. Yeah, so some Supreme Court idiot and the

(12:13):
loan and the loan, so nowthey're not going to honor the twenty thousand
dollars or ten thousand dollars. Youknow that that cancelation. That's who put
them in off the You you serious, y'all have raised the prices of every

(12:35):
freaking thing. We didn't have lostso many people to the pandemic and all
the kind of stuff y'all couldn't giveus twenty thousand dollars off ten thousand dollars
low, Oh my god. Anyway, we back, y'all's been a minute.
You know what I'm saying, It'sbeen a minute we've been We took
a little break. I had totake a mental break. I ain't gonna

(12:56):
lie. It was a lot goingon. I had to take a break.
Missus Stott was like, whenever youready bad, you know what I'm
saying. And I appreciate that becauseI had to take a middle break.
I had to tell everybody to kidsmy tail. I had to take it.
I took I got off the socialmedia for a while, like I
had to take a break. Sometimesyou got to do that and then recalculate
replaying and think things out they comeback so UM. So I'm so excited

(13:18):
about the guests that we have.Once tonight, I actually met him on
one of the sites, so I'mtrying to remember which site it was.
Um to how I was looking fora videographer UM for the Mother's Day dinner
and musicala in here and coming toOhio, I was looking. I knew
that I wanted see them, andso I just was looking and he came

(13:41):
across. And I'm so excited becausehe was very professional on him as team,
and I just really wanted to givehim some love. I wanted him
to shout out, to talk aboutwho he is, where he at,
how he got into it, likethe whole gang. Yeah, I think
right, alridy de Angelo. Canyou guys hear me? Yep? Yes,

(14:09):
I welcome than oxcited to have you, excited to have you um.
Can you hear its clearly? Yeah? I can't hear y'all clearly awesome and
amazing. So we are so happyto um you know, first and foremost,

(14:30):
I'm so excited that I took achance. It wasn't the sight I
wouldn't want. I can't remember thesite what was the site that I went
on. It was Upward. Ibelieve I remember work right, and I
wasn't sure how. I had neverused Upwork. I had used Fiber,
I had never used Upward, soand I've used you know, craig List,

(14:52):
but they got stoppers and killing them. Craig I a lot hearing,
so I had to take a breakfrom I don't know who's what's going on
with Craigan. I don't know.So I wanted to try something different,
and so um up Upwards. Um. I found mister DeAngelo, and I'm
really excited. So you did suchan awesome job as the videographer and even

(15:16):
the way you did the editing thatI wanted to bring you one and I
wanted to find I wanted to peepyour brain a little bit, Pepe into
Pepe or peace peace pitch. Iwanted to I wanted to tap in and
just find out, like when didyou really just take you down to Yellow
Brick Row. We take all theguests down with Yellow Brick Row and find

(15:37):
out, like what made you wantto become a videographer? You know who
inspired you and just just give it, tell us where you're from, just
you know you got the floor.Okay. So I was born in Chicago,
grew up in a small town andMiddletown, Ohio. I was really

(15:58):
into sports at a really young age. Played basketball, played football, ran
a little bit of track, anduh, you know, I wasn't the
best athlete. It wasn't the fatand saw the taller. So kinda at
the end of my high school years, um, I got really into sports
broadcasting. But I just felt likewhen I had went off to college,
I went to David for a littlebit, and I just felt like broadcasting

(16:21):
was just a little too political forme. So I kind of wanted to
tell my own story and I foundjust picking up a camera and kind of
telling my story behind the camera. So a little bit after high school,
I dropped out as Avier and thenI would have went off to LA lived
in LA for about a two twoto three years and I met some good
people, learned a lot of stuff, and I had a mentor out that

(16:42):
that was really really good. Shoutout to Josh. He taught me a
lot of things. He was reallyhard on me, but it kind of
made me just appreciate things a lotmore in the industry. And I'm just
grateful to meet and connect with newpeople and to be able to network and
still be able to do to beable to do what I love to do.

(17:07):
So you was out in La Okay, I just came from La in
uh March with March. Yeah, how did you like living here? I
mean, for me, it wasa love hate relationship because I was working
all the time, like I constantlyworked, and it was it's because I
had it. I had deal tosay. You know, it's expensive in
La. So I love the worstthe work ethic of and the grind of

(17:30):
it. But you know, I'monly twenty four, so you know,
the fun time and the party andand all that stuff, I really get
to do that much. So Ikind of missed out a little bit of
that. But I understand because youknow, you got to make sacrifices for
things that you want to do.But you know, it was just it
was a lot taken a total ofmy mental and so you know that's why
I came back to Ohio kind ofjust to work on my mental health also,
you know, kind of perfect mycraft a little bit more. And

(17:53):
uh, you know, I don'tregret this decision I made. I love
Um, I love being back home. But I mean, I'm gonna be
here for long. But was itwas fun out of the time in lat
Yeah, because you know what Ican imagine. So when you said you

(18:15):
worked a lot, you worked alot as a videosopher or you had like
a different kind of job, Um, I was. I was doing a
lot of different things on set.Like you know, when you watch a
movie, you see all those credits, all those people have a job on
a set. So I was abunch of different positions on set, whether
it was a videographer whatever, whatif I was an editor or pulling focus

(18:36):
or just getting people water like Ihad. I was just working every single
day, constantly, NonStop. Butthat was just because like you know,
I wanted people to get to knowwho I was, just you know,
my character, get to know whatI was able to bring to set,
and you know the creative process ofme. But you know, there's a
lot of there's a lot of peopleout there in LA that kind of already
have their stuff on their pedestal. So you know, when you come in

(18:59):
very a new and you don't reallyknow much, you kind of like you
really got to work yourself. You'llwork your way to the top and you
know, I won't say it likeI got that far, but I mean
I made a I made a goodgroup of friends, and I got a
good team out there that I knowif I go back out there, like
you know, we can work likenothing happened. So m yes, that
kind of stuff out there. Soyou've been doing a thing for the videographer

(19:23):
for a long time. So haveyou ever like shot any artists like rapp
music or hip hop or pop oranybody that we may know or you work
things like that. Yeah, I'vedone stuff for analy Chopper, T Grizzly,
Young Thug, Little Wayne, ChrisBrown, the list goes on,
and I've done I've done a lotof things for a lot of celebrities,

(19:45):
and you know, most people,I feel like kind of get star struck.
But like for me, when Iwas out there, like I don't
know, I kind of really didn'tget that feeling because I don't know,
at the end of the day,I view people as as just human,
like we're all human. So forme, when I just seen the type
of people, it's just like thesethe people that just work really hard at
their craft and that's why they're successful, and that's why, you know,

(20:07):
they're put on this pedal stool.I think it. I was just boiled
down to your hard work. Yeahthat's true. Yeah, that's awesome.
And you know what, I've gotthat feeling from him too when I when
he when I was talking to himeven on the phone, you know,
as he was setting things up forthem, the mothers saying the dinner in
music. I was in Columbus, and I got it from that same feeling

(20:29):
from him and and the photographers thathe brought with them. Um, like
huh, I said, shout outMarquise Petty that that was a that was
a photographer on the fact. Yeah, Marquis Petty, I'm gonna have to
reach out. I know you sentme his numbers. I'm gonna have to
reach out to him and see ifhe's interested in coming on. But yeah,

(20:52):
so I really got that feeling. How what did you think about the
events? I'm curious what was yourthoughts? But what, I love the
food, The food was great.Um. But he personally, I love
seeing black people coming together and youknow, in a positive environment and you
know, just just appreciating one another. Um. And I thought the event
was amazing. I think the artistswere dope. I think you were good.

(21:15):
Um so yeah, it's just alwaysgood to see. I think people
of color come together and you know, and just be positible for another.
That makes you feel good. Iwas like, come on, eat all
this food out here. He wasall eat stuffing like heat can come home.
Yeah it was. It really wasa good time. And didn't see

(21:36):
like at that place that we shotnow where was the name of it?
Again? Was just there? Iwas beautiful, some nice uh like backgrounds
and shot that. Have you everbeen over there before to shoot anything?
Uh? No? Um, SoI live in Dayton, so I've been
a Columbus to shoot a couple ofthings, but never really liked any type

(21:59):
of scene. Everything's uh Honestly, since I've been back, this probably the
most I've been to Columbus. Butnow that's my first time ever really shooting
anything out there downtown. Wise, how long have you been back from la
Uh? In July twelfth will bea year. Okay, so you haven't
been done. You just really crazy. So do they have like a big

(22:21):
film industry out here in like sayDating or even Columbus or or Cincinnati anything
like that, like like independent filmsthing compared compared to your other cities.
No. Um, I think it'sgrowing, and I think it can be
a lot better, but right now, not really. And that's kind of
why, like I've been on theups about moving again. Yeah, man,

(22:45):
I think dating and you know thisOhio areas are awesome sitting. I
think it has a lot of growth, But just as the creative, it's
kind of hard to to really eatbecause you know, a lot of people
really don't. Not everybody needs videoyou know, not everybody needs video services
or promo promos are commercials. Soum, I think that, and I
think that industry will eventually pick up, but right now it's just not everybody's

(23:06):
on that wave yet. You're beingreally nice to Ohio to you're being so
nice. I grew up. Ican't dog it to you much right right,
you're being very nice to have.Columbus is a very I don't know
about dating, but Columbus is avery conservative town. Although the arts are

(23:27):
picking up here, you know,um, but in all honesty, people
like us you, mister Stell mean, um, mister DeAngelo, right,
we're almost mis misfits here. Yeah, because of the creativeness of who we
are. You know what I'm saying, and not really being able to be

(23:52):
accepted the way that we need tobe in this environment because they haven't caught
up to that point yet. Youwould think that they would. It would
be not just accepted, but morelike one hunted, like what can you
you guys do to help the situation? Like when we were saying about what
um uh what Lady Crystal, youknow what they were trying to do out
there in the neighborhoods even in LA, like having people who can come that

(24:12):
they had the outlets and the facilitiesthat just didn't have, you know,
the people that really like to getinvolved, you know, so it compared
to just being here to LA oreven like you know, in New York
or anything like that, Atlanta, you know, people already doing something all
the time. It seems that aregoing on where you could say, oh,
hun, go check this out nowand go to this. If they

(24:33):
had more of those things like that, I think that they would come out.
People would come out, Like theyhad any festivals like block parties or
that that was dedicated to the arts. I know they do like they do
at the free um fairs, andthat's kind of stuffing do fairs out here,
Like, yeah, but they theyonly they really gravitate towards known artists,
right, you know, not reallyindependent. Yeah, so what I

(24:56):
mean be honest? Uh yeah, you know, I'm starting to be honest
with them. Like, what doyou think about the growth of the independent
artists in the independent movement out herein Ohio? How do you feel do
you feel like, I mean, there's a lot of independent artists here,

(25:18):
awesome artists, but do you feellike this Columbus feel or Ohio feel kind
of like clickers to you? UmNo, not necessarily. I feel like
honestly, when it comes to likeartists or even just people who who kind
of have like the same calling, like whether if you're a tattoo artist or

(25:40):
a makeup artist, I like alot of times we always try to battle
against one another instead of coming togetherand making stuff, which always kind of
puts us far back from everybody that'salready doing stuff. Like I feel like
I'm always looking for other videographers toshoot with and you know, and collab
with to make adult project with. But you know, it's like I don't
know why, but I feel likewhenever it's somebody else and it's doing your

(26:02):
staying job. It feels like acompetition when in retrospect it really should just
be like a collaboration to where it'slike you know, if we eat,
if I eat, you eat,we all eat. You know. So
I feel like a lot of times, what's really holding a lot of artists
back, and you know people areentrepreneurs, is that we're always trying to
go against each other instead of tryingto work together. Yeah, that's that's
that's true. I think that's basicallyfor a lot of industries, but definitely

(26:26):
for the arts industry because um,there's always that because it's levels. Right,
So if somebody starts to get tosomewhere and doing something and that person
that was with them, you know, like you know, they're kind of
like, well they left me,you know what i mean. What I'll
say like that kind of what I'msaying, like make it a collaborative group.
Like collaborative groups always do better thansomebody just like you know, just

(26:48):
doing it alone or have somebody else. It's just like kind of like their
their friend, but not really liketrying to work with them. And you
know what I mean. And I'veseen that, you know, throughout the
industry through a lot of different things. But if you people who stick together,
you see the growth and what they'redoing, you know. So that's
something I love. Yeah, theywould, they would do that. They

(27:10):
will see it will start to getmore mainstream, you know when it comes
to arts or even artists come outhere, you know what I mean.
So it's definitely on the horizon.Dough. Yeah, I feel like I'm
sorry, I agree, and Ifeel like, um, a lot of
people nowadays just we have to learnhow to take constructive criticism as well.
Like, you know, not everybody, not the first, Not everything you're

(27:30):
gonna do is gonna be the best, and everything you're gonna do as the
greatest. Like you have to learnto to put something out and you know,
learn from each thing you do.Like every video I've done, every
single video, I'm like, allright, what can I have done better?
Or like I don't want to makethe same video tight, So I
don't want my work to be whereit was last year this year, Like
I want to improve every single time, every single day, every single year,

(27:52):
and that comes with constructive criticism.I asked my friends all the time,
like what should I add to thisor what should I do different?
Or my mentor in LA I'm like, hey, can I do better at
this? And you know it's it'sit's not personal because they're just they're telling
you how to be better and howto to be greater and and reach out
to more people and network and VIDyour brands and that's what your run.

(28:15):
You should always um be able toaccept criticism because it's not even really criticism,
it's just well, okay, thisis what I see from my eyes,
like you know, um, I'mlooking at I'm looking on I'm on
the outside looking in. So thesemaybe things that you didn't see. You
know what I'm saying that when itgoes to a piece of art, what's
the film piece of art? Totwo people see it different things on it,

(28:37):
right, That's what they say,one do one piece of art,
two people can see the same thing. If you know, if Stephanie's an
astract piece. When you listen toa song or if you're watching a video
you know or movie or film, like you're getting the direction of what that
videographer storyline is too, right includedwith with the artist with the song where

(28:57):
it may be the product of brandand what have you. You know what
I mean? So people are alwaysgonna have this or back towards it.
It's still it's still a piece ofsomething or what it is. So everybody
is surrounded and to watch what itis is that they collectively say, oh
we like this, or they collectivelysay we don't like it, orbits in
half or some pieces and bits. But at the end of the day,

(29:18):
I think that when when it comesto art, that's what it really is,
you know what I mean, Becauseit shouldn't be just the one thing,
you know what I mean, Likewe all like like with Jackie with
somebody, we didn't like all thesongs, you know what I mean,
So it's like whatever. So thenif you watch a filmmaker or if you're
watching you know you said, likea makeup artist or whatever. Like you
know, there's different arts. Differentpeople do some different artographic arts, you

(29:40):
know, avers like that kind ofstuff. People are gonna have different opinions
of what they think it is,you know, but if it's your interpretation
of what you think it is,is going to probably be the one that
you can really want to go with, you know what I mean. People
are gonna say, yeah, youshould do this, but this was coming
from you. You also the interpretationof what you're putting out there, just
my thought because I write songs myself, so I'm like ashtract with that kind

(30:03):
of stuff myself. Like you know, well, I know as as dealing
with the Atlanta Music Industry Group, and I would definitely encourage you, um
um DiAngelo to you know, Iposted your your website. In the group,
we have like over thirty two thousandmembers. A lot of them are
when I look at the analytics,I would say probably, I don't know,

(30:23):
forty fifty percent of them are fromAtlanta and the rest of them are
from other different parts of the world, not just not just industry too as
well. I know how industry mus'sgrowing. So I've definitely encourage you to
um to join the group and postsome of your videos and stuff, you
know, um, Because I knowI'm telling you right now you already said

(30:48):
yeah, so I can just goahead and resaid. When I get ready
to have Hook Atlanta this year,I'm coming to get you because last time
I had an event, the lasttwo times, it's my last two experiences
with pographers has been horrible. Thefirst time, the footage was not clear,
it wasn't good time I didn't getthe footage so and then it just

(31:10):
neither time worked out well for meas far as the videographers. So I
want to work with somebody that Iknow it's about big. Even if I
got to pay for you to getdown here, I'm I don't care because
I want to have some good footage, you know. So I definitely um
would encourage you to join the groupand definitely keep me like you already know,

(31:33):
I'm telling you I I just don'tknow when yet. I haven't figured
out when or where we're gonna doit in Atlanta, but we are going
to do it because this is thatwe do it every year. I just
haven't figured out when. You letme know I'm there. Yeah, I
mean, And I'm gonna reach outto your photographer too, um markis and

(31:56):
I'm gonna ask him if he's interested. Maybe I can ride down together because
he's in the same city. He'sbeen dating too. He's in Cincinnati.
But you know he I'm gonna makehim come. He ain't got a choice.
I'm serious. Like I always gotmy camera people shooting videos from people
out here as well, Like areyou working with people with a budget or

(32:19):
are you just going street with thethos things that you're doing. Uh,
so I because Ohio such a kindof cheaper market. I kind of really
work with people's budgets. Um,you know whatever, Yeah, yeah,
pretty much. It kind of Idon't want to say they standing. You
know, I understand everybody got everybodygot built to pay, so I get.

(32:43):
But um no, I usually workwith within between people's budgets. I
usually have like a video package andlike an excrutive package that comes with certain
lighting gear and all that stuff. But um, I shoot videos locally for
a couple of artists and um,a couple of people that want like from
a d for their businesses and stufflike that. So um, and I've
done a couple of weddings here recentlyas well. I've been trying to keep

(33:07):
myself busy. I'm also actually goingto Chicago tomorrow to shoot a basketball tournament.
I'll be down there for about fourdays. I was just about to
ask you do you still go Well, I used to live in Chicago.
I used to live on West JacksonBoulevard over there, um near um,
what was that Columbus Park? Doyou know where Columbus Park is? Off

(33:27):
in Central I do not west sidewhere you grew up in on south side,
south side, your south side, don't to go to the south.
I don't know too much about thatside. Yeah, everybody's getting air policy.

(33:49):
Okay, Well I used to liveon the west side of ship I
live on the south side too. When I first got to Chicago, I
was out there, um near seventyninth and Yates area, like, I
was out in that area. Andthen I moved because that was that was
that was that a little bit toomuch for my spirit. So I moved
west and and then I was atuh uh. I was at West Jackson,

(34:13):
Bullivar and Cister roll that that wasreally too much from us spear.
I just I was trying to getover there the old park with you any
funny actors. Yeah, yeah,so I usually I was yus. I
stayed in the hostle lot. Okay, yeah, your mom wasn't playing the
games. Yeah, that's awesome. And so when are you going out there

(34:34):
to shop? I mean, like, what are you going to be shooting?
I'm shooting a basketball turner for actuallyChris Paul's AU team. This is
company I've been working with called avidUh. They hired me kind of Freeland
and I go out and you know, shoot their high school kids playing basketball,
sometimes in middle school, and uhyeah, I'll be out there for
a couple of days shooting, relaxing, and um, when I come back

(34:57):
to the grind again, just shootingsome more music videos things of that nature.
So you definitely, I mean, well, I'm not gonna think definitely,
because like you said, you youlike dayton Um and you like being
at home. It's nothing like cominghome and seeing your family and friends and
reconnected with people like that is beautifuloften amazing, you know. But whenever

(35:19):
that point hits and you decide wherecan I go? I definitely would say
one of any any city, anymajor metropolitans city, you know, like
Atlanta is a good one. I'mwe're handed back that way because two of
my kids were born there. That'shome for them. You know, Columbates
home for me, but Atlanta's homefor them, So we'll be making our

(35:42):
transition that way. I think anotherwhat's another really good city that that has
a lot of creative things? NewYork? Of course New York has a
lot. I've never been to NewYork. Yeah, it's it's definitely got
that is all over the place. It's it's everywhere. Yeah, it is,

(36:04):
you know what, In all honesty, when I was in New York,
do you know what it made mefeel like. It made me feel
like a mixture of Chicago and Atlantictogether. That's that's what I felt.
The creativeness in the in the wholefeeling of Atlanta. But I felt the
fast paced in the in the inthe in the straight you know, to
the too straight to the point newYorkers. I can't talk to New York

(36:25):
Is too long because we get thebargain the straightest point type of um like
Chicago. Chicago's like that, butNew York is it's expensive, you know,
but it's not. It can't beany more expensive than La you know
how crazy than I like. Ilike dick cities by all, like a
lot of people. So I've beentrying to find Yeah, we have fire

(36:52):
escapes in wil Thompson, so youmight, Yeah, you might want to
go south in to Atlantic because youcan. You can go away. You
canna be you know, you knowthat song they put out there ain't Atlanta.
It is Atlanta. You could goway out the suburbs. It's still
some part of Look I've got thecoveration here, but I want to talk
about that one going through that oneright there. Like I was talking them

(37:15):
one way. You say about certainplaces means of the places, and it's
like that need not be Atlanta, but so metropolitan Atlanta. It's basically anything
is around uh two eighty five Atlantaon the mill Then no, that's that's
not that's the cave. Yes,say Atlanta, but it's still College Park.

(37:39):
You know what I'm saying. Boys, Clark Coast, Clayton County is
Atlanta's metro Atlanta. It's the suburbs, the south suburbs, you know,
Aloranda, it's still Atlanta. It'sthe North North suburbs. But it's still
Atlanta, like we still claim them. I don't know when it comes I'm
talking about dad ain't. Yes itis, but head is Atlanta. Yeah,

(38:04):
much about Atlanta. I lived inAtlanta for about six months when I
was like maybe, and I gota friend that lives out in Atlanta right
now. He's a producer, hisname Eli. He goes about vision.
Uh, he likes it. Ithink he's been trying to get me to
move out there as well. Idon't know. I just feel like Atlanta
might be a little you'll you'll alwaysyou'll make money if if nobody else getting

(38:24):
paid, the people who are workingbehind the scenes get paid, you know
what I'm saying. The good thevideographers, the photographers, y'all get paid.
You know, the fingers were praying. We we That's why I'm started
any revolution. Now. We gottastick together, like you said, we

(38:46):
gotta stick together. We gotta changethings on how artists are paying because we're
not. You know, they screamedmy music, that play our music,
and they they give us like apenny, you know. So I'm really
trying to be one of the pioneersto change that. But as far as
you know, the filmmaker, youknow, the video oppositions and stuff,
y'all make y'all get paid because y'all, y'all ain't showing up to the scene

(39:08):
without the paycheck. Oh yeah,we didn't. We didn't. We don't
play about our money. That's thepositive from so I are are you available
for hire? If somebody like wantingto, you know, bring you to
their city, state, whatever, like, are you available? I travel

(39:31):
all over the country, all fiftystates. Uh, if you let me
know, we can advance, wecan make something happen. Wow, that's
good stuff. So how would takeme to get in touch with you?
Like, what is your best contactinformation? Um? Probably my Instagram?
Uh, I have a business Instagramat Chosen Underscore Global. You can follow

(39:54):
that page, you can d mus and somebody will definitely we talk to
you a sap uh and this messagefor rates and all those things. And
we work, like I said,we work with any type of budget.
But if you need a videographer ofa togborg, you need interviews, commercials,
weddings, we do it all.Yeah, I'm actually looking for co

(40:14):
people that I'm working with right nowis actually looking for some um like like
thirty second spots with advertising right now. We definitely will be um, you
know, be in touch with youabout that as well. I said,
this is the thing right here.Look this is what you think? Like
then Yeah, so I I'm excitedum to meet you. I it's been

(40:37):
a while with me and mister Stownhave actually taking a taking a break to
the breaks a little while. Um, but we're planning on relocating sometime this
year back to Atlanta. We're actuallymaking our plans and when we do,
our goal is to actually do moreof our interviews in person. You know,

(40:58):
we've been doing them on block talkrading yo UM for the last what
two three years, every TI twentytwenty for twenty nineteen, I started,
I started, Uh, well,I've had the bluff talk rated for a
long time, but you know, podcast became very important during the pandemic and
I actually started right before the painiments. But we're going to go back to

(41:20):
in person in studio UM interviews oncewe moved back to Atlanta, and definitely
we will want to have videographers. So if you are or if you know
of any videographers who are you know, UM reliable, dependable, trustworthy and
have good stuff like the people forHook of Atlanta. I'm starting to put

(41:44):
you out there now. For acouple of years, that was something dudo
footage and you're it's like they tryall the money and they had this big
machine in the middle of the dadgoing floor to shoot me out some do
footage. Yes, he said, with all that like a spacious like trying

(42:15):
to know and still out doo footageup like live. Yeah, it was
horrible. Charts me all that moneyfor that. It's just like toward streaming
so I'm definitely trying to build ateam while I get back to Atlanta.
So if if you are available,or if you know people that are connected
who have really good people like I'mreally looking to um build a really strong

(42:39):
solid team in Atlanta, not justyou know, for videography and for events,
but just to really promote these independentartists because there's so many of them
and we really need to start ourown network. We are so dependent on
the masses and mainstream and stuff, but we really should create our own ego.
Is they called an ecosystems and Isay, rights, Yeah, that's

(43:00):
the righteous of presences. We reallyshould create that because do you know there
are millions of independent artists alone.I'm not even talking about how many of
your videographers and photographists that are,but there are millions and millions and millions
of independent artists and all of themhave at least the dollars saying, but

(43:22):
most of them got a job. That the money that we could combine within
our own would be trelendous if westuck together, like how you were saying,
how here in Ohio we need tostick together? You know what I'm
saying, Yeah, that's facts Iwas just talking to um. I was
just talking to one of my oneof my mentors that I was I learned

(43:45):
from coming out of high school, and we were just talking about like,
man, once a month, wejust need to shoot something. It don't
matter what it is, don't matterhow much money we put into it.
We gotta shoot something. Man.We gotta go once a month and just
just keep creating, keep creating, and keep creating. So yeah, yeah,
you know, I did a moviewhen I was in Atlanta, one

(44:06):
of my books. I actually wentto the Art Institute of Atlanta. Do
you remember the Art Institute of aLands? Have you heard any before?
No? I have not heard ofit. Okay, So they had some
kind of art institute at Land andthat's where I started kind of like learning
a little bit about, you know, how to shoot films and videographies and
storyboards and all that kind of stuff. So have you had an opportunity to

(44:30):
do any like short films or orany movie scenes or anything like that.
So when I was in LA,I worked on a Docky series for Hulu
called Death of mcdorm. So thatwas the first time I ever worked on
a documentary. I made my ownshort film not too long ago, About

(44:52):
a month ago, I started ashort film series called Wordplay. Only one
episode out right now, so I'min the working on that. I'm just
the I'm gonna perfectionistof It's not theway I wanted. I ain't gonna shoot
it, but I'm gonna mix itstill. Um, I'm gonna mix is
still making that happen. But I'vedone a bunch of dialogue stuff in La.
I've done some TV shows. Idon't know if you ever heard of

(45:14):
the word I meant not the wordsI've ever heard of the reality TV show
called Bell Collectives. It's on theown Open one three network, UH channel.
I worked on that, and thenanother another reality show called Ready to
Love that was also on that network. So that's the colases. I've got
to like a movie. I've alwayswanted to do a movie that I've never
never got to that point yet.Well, okay, this time, Like

(45:37):
you want to hope for the Atlantic, when you hit the ground, I
was like, Hey, we needthe one over here. Hey we need
to come over here. Hey,everywhere you meet me, I'm there.
That's the fair So um. Yeah. The thing about movies though, when
you're filming movies. Um, they'lldo like they can do a twelve scenes,

(46:01):
you know, then one day oryou know, or three or four,
but it takes a lot. Likethe the amount of time you're on
set is hours. Yeah, youknow, a long time, and maybe
not twelve things that might be overgoing overboard because there's so many different shots
that you can take from one scene. You know, if you're not you

(46:22):
got you're dealing with light. Ifyou're doing something outside or your inside,
you gotta be not just that butclose up. You know, wy shot
ye all from that set for mewas waking up at six am getting ready
to press gear lead for set ateight am. I have to be that
ten and I lived in the cityand we had to drive out of the

(46:45):
city which is about like maybe thirtyminutes unlow gear. Probably probably first shots
up at noon and then we wouldn'twrap until maybe around like ten and then
you have to pack apart that girlout you're not getting home to maybe two
am, and then you're right up. Yeah, I got it together day.
That's the life of the mineographers forsure. And you were doing that

(47:07):
a lot like he was getting bookeda lot. You was making the money,
that's the diners room. There weredays where it was there were days
where it was it was the textwas coming. Then there would be some
months where it was like a Iam I gonna get another job because it
was just it was kind of lifethat if you weren't really super plugs in.
There were even days you'd be eatingand every days or it's like I
gotta put some noodles in the inthe microwave. We gotta eat these noodles

(47:29):
for a couple of weeks and seewhat to do. Yeah, yeah,
m so what so what kind ofUm, well, first tell us your
social media handles, you know, how people once again, how people can
reach out to you, how theycould check you out, all the kind
of stuff, and then out whatkind of advice would you give to someone

(47:54):
who wants to get into filmmaking, become a videographer and they're interested in moving
to a new town that they've neverworked in. But first tell us you're
give us your been, you know, all your contact information. Okay,
Um, my Instagram is chosen byd LO, my business page is chosen

(48:15):
Underscore Global. Chosen Global is ourbrands where we do all videography and photography.
And then, um, to answeryour question, my advice, well,
hold on, I'm at because yougot to slow people. The slower
ones that was born and the sixtiesand fifties may not have gotten So can
you repeat that again cause you said, Okay, I'm sorry, I'm sorry.

(48:38):
My instagram, my personal instagram ischosen by dealer. That's c h
O as inn by d l O. And then my business page is chosen
Underscore Global. Uh, chosen UnderscoreGlobal. You'll find most of our videos
and photography. Okay, spells thechosen's part again? Okay. C h

(49:01):
O s E N b y bE l O chosen by d low.
And then the business page is chosento c h O s E N Underscore
g l O b A l chosenGlobal Choen Underscore Global. There was all
right, yeah, think what it? Okay? My advice for creative moving

(49:30):
or wanted to get into the industryis honestly just, um, don't be
scared. I feel like before Ihad moved to La, I was so
nervous and I didn't know a lot, and I was just trying to really
just get my feet where. Butonce I was out there, it was
kind of just Kimas is gone withthe motions, so you kind of just
have to take risk. I'm abig risk taker, and I believe that

(49:51):
a lot of risks payoff. Imean, you only get the only live
once, so you know, mightas well take those calculated risk and and
just see where it goes, becauseyou just never know where it can.
Land is like I didn't like Ilike I said, I wasn't star struck,
but the probably bust stuck stuck everbeen was, Uh, this is
crazy because it was like a weekbefore my birthday. I had me and

(50:13):
my mentor got a call and theywant us to shoot uh P Diddy's son's
birthday party. So like, youknow, okay, cool, whatever.
We show up to this huge mansionand when I tell you, like every
celebrity that you could know was there, every celebrity you could know where that
I'm like, man, I likeI have to really stay with myself and
realize, like, man, I'mreally around these people, like a lot
of people that look up to thesepeople, that all these people that want

(50:36):
to be like these people are inthis very room with me, and like
for me, it just felt likeI'm supposed to be here because I'm on
that level. You know, Imight not my net worths might not say
that, but you know I'm onthat level as as what they are.
And so you really just gotta, like I said, you just gotta take
calculated risk and just believing yourself. Here we are. Yeah, so I
got a question. Yeah, yes, you said you that NY's party.

(51:07):
I wasn't wasn't there he did,He was not there. He was not
there. He was a Miami butit looks for his son. Okay,
I never that's a P Diddy party. I don't know. I can't confirm
or deny any of those other rumorsabout his partners. That's all I'm gonna
say. You said, That's allI'm saying. Ain't gonna say none of

(51:31):
us. You know, we've beenhere about a little bit about Benny we
all. I'm still trying. I'mstill trying to get hired about P Diddy.
Listen, I'm trying to me onthe Bathtot. That's what. You
know what, It's awesome that you'reable to be in that crowd and you're

(51:51):
not, like you said, you'renot start struck, like it doesn't about
like it's no big thing like youand I breathe, we are like we're
all in your mind. It's likewe're we're all human beings. We're just
doing our things. Like I feellike I belong here. Like that's awesome
because some people don't see it likethat. You know, they get they
get nervous, so they can't eventhink about being in that kind of environment.

(52:12):
But you know, when you're aprofessional, and you're a professional,
you know what I'm saying, andso that's awesome and amazing. I definitely
loved the video that you shot.I love how you knew how to do
those close ups like on DJ wiseis laptop, the way you were able
to capture, like you knew tocapture that picture, or the way you

(52:34):
capture you know, the different ornamentson the table, you capture the food,
like it's like you knew the keythings to capture to make sure you
had that for editing, and soI'm like, Okay, he knew what
he's doing. Yeah. My biggestthing when I go through my video and
the editing processes to make sure thatthe people that are watching it feel like

(52:54):
that they're there or that they missedout kind of thing. So it's like
I try to get every piece ofthing and put it together in a in
a good way to where it justit messages so well. And because I
know when I watch videos, Iwatch a movie, I'm just looking to
feel like, man, I canreally see this happening in real life,

(53:15):
or I feel like I'm there,I feel like I'm living this with them.
So whenever I showed the video,I try, I try to get
that same type of feeling. Mustlazing yet, So I definitely will be
UM back in test with you oncewe schedule wins us Atlanta's want to be
We just have not yet. Ihaven't. I haven't locked in a date

(53:36):
or where I wanted to be atyet, but I do plan on doing
that, and when I do,I definitely want I don't want to repeat
of what I went through the lasttwo years. So I definitely want a
good videosper and a good talent perAnd I definitely would reach out to Um
your partner and see a piece availablemy piece and see piece available for an
interview. And hopefully when I'm readyto do this, we can block it

(54:00):
end where you will both you willbe available. You know what I'm saying,
Like I can include y'all in theplanning. So because I already know
I want to have my own Idon't want to go through what I went
through um the last time, Like, I don't want to. I don't
want to sense that if and forme, in all honesty, the best

(54:22):
editor, in all honesty is thevideographer because you are capturing everything and you
know what you captured, and youknow what you're doing, and you know
that the whole you know thing that'sgoing on. So when you get ready
to edit, it's like you knowhow to put it together. You're the
same thing. Yeah, Usually mostvideographers, at least I know you shoot,

(54:44):
y'all already thinking about your edit.So like whenever I was shooting,
I'm already thinking like, all right, I'm gonna put this first. It's
gonna go live, it's gonna gothis way. So we're kind of already
editing as we're shooting. M Yeah, So that's the Definitely, even though
I know how to edit, Idefinitely want to you, you know,
just to do it. So Ithank you so very much for um,

(55:06):
you know, for stopping BOFE,for taking the time to allow me to
interview you and to share you withyour expertise with my listeners and being the
first guest UM that we've brought backon UM for this new season because we
literally have been off the air probablyfor about two or two months maybe,

(55:27):
and so you're my first guest comingback, and I just want to really
start interviewing not just the artists, but also the ones who are behind the
scenes, because they're important. Youknow, if you don't have a good
person behind the scenes that's getting makingsure thing to get you know, your
your shots are good, and yoursound is good and all the kind stuff

(55:49):
is good, then your finished productwon't be the best, you know what
I'm saying. So I feel likeit's important to start showcasing are you know,
people that are behind the scenes, you are very important. So UM
yeah, I wanted to bring youon and just tell you thank you.
I appreciate you for coming from DaytonUM and since and your partner from Cincinnati

(56:14):
to come to my event. Youknow, it was my first time having
an event that big in Columbus andI wasn't sure how it's gonna turn out,
Because it really did. We endedup getting a grant from the Greater
Columbist Arts Council. UM because theysupport independent artists. We do have some
stuff they try and you know theytrying. Um uh So I'm just happy

(56:37):
that we were were able to havey'all there and y'all did an s one
job. Yeah, the video wasout there so you can see some of
it, the work that you didfrom the dinner gala for the mother they
did in gala. Yeah, it'son my YouTube channel, right, it's
on Facebook. I've shared just abouteverywhere, um, underground and over ground
and round following on the move board. Yeah, you can see it on

(57:02):
my Instagram if you go to ApputrinciaMarie Going. You can see it on
my Twitter, you know Atfiutrincia amGoing. You can on Facebook. You
can see it in the Latin methe Energy Groupe on my YouTube um list
goings level nineteen you can see iteveryone. Like, I really shared it
because I really felt not only becauseI was proud of it, because you

(57:22):
know, the food was good, you know, but um um um um
what was his name? The kid? Yeah? Yeah, I was what
does a chef des a chef? What's the val diggity um d j Wie
was awesome to make like it was. It was an awesome thing, so

(57:44):
I like to share that kind ofstuff. And also it's good for when
people are trying to decide who theywant to hire. They want to see
what you have done. You knowwhat I'm saying, what events have you
done with this that the episode?Um hopefully you'll be able to use if
somebody ever comes to you, umAngelo and says, let me see what
you've done, You'll be able topoint them to, you know, my

(58:05):
page or my video and say,you know I did I did this.
You know, I was a videographerand you know I did some editing on
it or whatever. Like. Definitely, because it was it was a great
deal. And I actually wanted twocancer patients to come, and I couldn't
find anyone to just come before thisthing, and I was gonna give them
pree tickets. But how it endedup, the two cancer patients end up

(58:25):
coming anyway, and they introduced themselvesto me. So God worked it out
without you know, uh um yeah, any more to come more things,
Yeah, definitely, any shout out, any thank you to shout out my
shott to my Ohio family, shoutout to my Chicago family, and talk

(58:47):
out to all the creatives out there. Just keep chasing your dreams. Oh,
hold on one at the end calledhold the way it end. You
gotta call it this called up onthe unscripted. Oh call, you have
sixty two of your numbers? What'swhat's your name? What are you calling
from? Hi? This is saybeing McDonald from Fioria, Illinois. Hi.

(59:14):
How are you doing there? Howare you doing that? I'm fine?
Thank you for calling me. Doyou have something you would like to
say to live to de Angelo?Yes? I just called to tell him
he is a true inspiration um toall the young men and women out here
trying to move forward in the industry, and I just want to encourage him

(59:35):
to keep keep pushing on. Yeah, that's nice. Thank thank you.
That's actually my sister, y'all.Yeah, support that, that's right.
You gotta have that support until good. When it comes to family, your
friends and stuff like that. Youknow you're get in through your colleagues and

(59:57):
stuff with his family. Yeah, that's the Yeah, that's about. Let
me tell you something. Half thefamily don't want to support nothing that somebody
else got going on the day, ain't join it. So the fact that
you have a family member who saidlet me show him to more, let
him show let me show him thatI love him and I got his back.
Let me call in and let himknow he's the inspiration. That's the
box I wish we had. Somepeople will listen, they will follow you,

(01:00:25):
they will watch you, they willdo all that stuff, but they
won't ever congratulate you. They won'ttell you as the inspiration to me.
They won't say thank you, butthey'll following you to look at you,
that want you to try to copyyou. Right now, take a break,
take a break. That's why totake a break. But anyway,

(01:00:49):
we appreciate you. Thank you somuch man for calling in. Thank you,
Thank you. So we're gonna playmusic and we're gonna flide on out
of here. We just want tosay thank you to everyone who listened to
us, who continues to listen tous. Y'all don't pay me no mind.
Y'all know I'm unscripted, so Isay what I want to say.

(01:01:10):
I want to say it. Youknow this is raw. I'm cut,
I'm feeling unsensed. What's all?Yeah, it is all my tax man.
They got a whole video speak tothis call uncut R. Now I'm
like oh man man bringing me on. I really appreciate it. Oh yeah,
