(07:14):
Move Unscripted with your host Patricia amGoings and mister Stout on www dot blog,
Talk Radio dot com Forward Slash Patriciagoing call in now. We're live
at five one six, three eightseven one two four seven. What's going
on? You have tuned into anotherepisode of On the Move. I'm spending
(07:41):
with Patricia m going so first andfour moments we have to pay our respects
and send out much love, youknow to Amadera On the Move records.
Uh ceo. He has been likesuch a big part of my journey was
one of the moves on the Onthe Move records. Not on the Move.
(08:05):
I'm there. I was a metto hear you're talking about from Buffalo
Heart. But soon she came toLittle Atlanta. Yes, yes, yes,
and and and and he run anywayswith her artists. I thought it
was all the Move records. Itwasn't. I'm sorry. Well, anyway,
we lost a big leader. Yes, in spite of she was.
She came all the way from NewYork and brought her team and they performed
(08:30):
Kenny Runaways. I forget the artistthat played with him, that was on
the song we had with Infinity, and then it was a young lady,
and the young lady made me feelso both all of'em, all all
four of'em made us feel sogood. A boy, what we were
trying to do for the artists, and just the fact that they were willing
to travel all the way from youknow, New York and invested what we
(08:52):
got going on on end. Youknow, way back when I was on
eleven hundred AM, she came. She came with her artists never and I
yeah, yeah, I'm talking abouttwo sixteen an. She has always been
such an encouragement and so I justfound out that she passed away much respect
(09:13):
to her family, you know, and to everyone. Sorry if I said
the wrong label, but she wasthe beast with what she did, that's
right. Yeah. It was lionsthen right there, and what she when
I met her, she was alreadylike, look, I'm ready to get
some of these arts that I'm workingwith. I hear in New York and
Buffalo, Upstate New York. Theywas actually like, hey, we can
you know, do some things withyou guys, and and she was really
(09:35):
really about it, and we hadplans this year and do some things too
as well, you know, beforethis had happened. But her work ethic
and everybody is sending all of thelove and all of the you know,
paying respect and homage to that.Because I heard all the lions then uh
for that group page that they're goingto be like, you know, doing
a tribute things. So we definitelyhear on a movement script they want to
(09:58):
be a part of. That's lessyou know, you know, a think
about that and I want to keepeverybody updated with that as well. Definitely,
and we're gonna be playing some ofher artists you know during the show
tonight. Much love to her,and like I said, much love to
her family and friends and people whoknew her and loved her. And if
you didn't get a chance to meether, it was it's unfortunate because she
was an awesome person. I mean, anything I had going on, she
(10:20):
was so supportive, you know whatI'm saying. Yeah, she like when
you talk about loyal support and lovedlike it had never met her until well,
we I bet her. I thinkshe brought her artists back in two
thousand and sixty, but I haven'tseen her in a long time. And
then she came. She invested inwhat we had going on because she believed
in the artists and her artists andeverything, and it was just awesome,
(10:43):
amazing in my heart breaks to her. We loved to you know, a
really different, real good soldier rightthere out there, and we're gonna make
some things happen to definitely, I'mada definitely our delicated. I don't to
say me so I said, Imean right as well? Yeah, so
yeah, yeah, we definitely uhloving respect and we definitely will miss you
for sure. What's out of downwithout a jowl? And on a lighter
(11:07):
note, so did Trump go toFoot and County Jail? Well, I
don't like he's gonna be your presidentgoing twenty twitter four. I don't know
what's going on and people are notgoing what's going on with it down there
in Georgia? Look, did Iused to work in Foot and County Jail?
I'm sorry Trump is gonna be roughedup in there? Is he gonna
stay for any time? I wasgonna do the much he Oh my god,
(11:33):
it's about to be a fly onthe wall where he walks into foot
kind poone count of jails are differentkind of jail. It's not like most
jail joels. They got really solitary. This kind of jail. Did they
do music videos on the back room. I'm saying, if you really want
to suck the whole people in thereand the whole music videos, this is
(11:56):
the kind of jails. I ain'tgonna I ain't gonna jelp, y'all know.
I'll know the d Sea group somuch love to get Indie go actually
go to jail. Is he justgonna walk in there and pay his money
and go out. Yeah, theyjust let him slip and slide all around
four or five six exactments. You'resaying, they keep following one stuff and
he's still telling when I'm running him. Oh my god, help the man.
(12:24):
So I'm so excited because you know, the Landing Music Energy Group is
growing. We have over thirty twothousand members of different types, artists,
producers, you know in indie labels, graphic designers, like everything and anything
you can think of is in thatgroup. And they network and they support
(12:45):
and they're very interactive and it gotto be so much, you know for
me and mister South to handle that. I had to start, you know,
getting help. I had to startfinding the moderators or whatever, and
so run across this. Jenneral hehad been in the group, but thanks,
there's twenty seventeen or something like that. Yes, him and I had
a few more, which I wantto get him on the show, you
(13:07):
know, periodically here and they're justlike it usual, they are their branding
what they do. But he wasthe first one that we're interviewing today and
his name is Tanist Bennett. Letme see if I have him on the
line right, Yeah, it isn'tcoming from magazine and do some things with
that. Yeah, to see whatthey do. You got chimes on the
line? What is this, benegeyou on the line? Hey, Hey,
(13:30):
how y'all doing tonight? So I'mexcited to have you. Yes,
it's definitely an honor to be ontonight with you all. Like I said,
I've been part of the group sincetwenty and seventeen and they have grown
exponentially, and yeah, it's alllove and there, it's all about networking,
(13:54):
just trying to help people, ifit's just just sharing a post or
something. You know, I likethe group that I'm a part of,
and I appreciate you are allowing meto join the group. Yeah, I
appreciate you. Yeah for being therethat long, Like he's literally since two
thousand and seventeen, because I'm ableto see, like you know, from
(14:15):
the backtards how long some remembers. You know, I have never come,
only been there or whatever. Andhe has been in really just showing love
and showing the court and auto timestuff with his own coaches things throughout the
leaves and I and I think,if that's your if that some that step
in the backwards on our phone inthe background, I'm as playing on the
(14:41):
beach and Gulf shore, so I'mtrying to step away from everybody. You're
on the beach shore. Yea,my new residence. My new residence just
moved down here about a month anda half ago. Oh wow, so
you're not in Atlanta anymore? That'syou did tell me that you weren't in
(15:03):
Atlanta right now? Right? No, but that's still my entertainment home.
Because of the hype magazine and justuh so many relationships that I formed while
I was working with them in atmounta Fold. I definitely still come to
Atlanta. I'm planning on being therefor Labor Day weekend because they have not
Hip Hop Day or hip Hop Weekend, and the Hype magazine is one of
(15:28):
the sponsors, so I may bemaking an appearance up there. Okay,
okay. So we like to takeall of our guests down the yellow Brick
Road. I know, you rememberDorking and the Whiz you know, or
the updated one which is really yeah, we wizdom I whiz. Okay,
(15:48):
but you remember the yellow prick bro. So we like to take everybody down
the Yellow pick ros so they cantell us. You know who they are,
you know what they do, whythey love hip hop. Where it
start that, you know, Sowe'll start wherever you want. Don't go
too far back to like breastfeeding inthe bottom and stuff like that. We
went way back up a year, give me a couple of years now.
(16:17):
I won't go too far back. But my government name is uh Terrence Jason
Bennett Senior. My entertainment name ist Rex, and I have been in
the industry over twelve years. ButI have been in the industry since nineteen
eighty eight. I made a backgroundacting appearance in the movie called Mississippi Burning
(16:37):
uh with Jene Hattman and William theFolk. So I kind of gotta take
the entertainment industry. Then, whenI was ten years old, my mom
actually was in the movie and shehad a speaking role, and so they
had a casting call and I wasable to go to it, but my
mom only allowed me to go forone day because she didn't want me to
(16:59):
be at school. So I allthe attended that one day of shooting.
But just to get that taste inthe entertainment, uh, it was something
that I feel like I was destinedfor. And my dad was a dj.
Uh. It was a house DJup in Chicago, and so in
my household, it was like musicevery day. It was like ah at
(17:21):
home radio station. So we werelistening to everything from from jazz and soul
to motown, the country, pop, rock, you name it, we
was listening to it. And soI have always been fascinated with the entertainment
industry. And so, you know, following my dad's footsteps out decided to
(17:42):
get into djam and that's what gotme started in entertainment. And then I
moved to podcasting back in twenty toeleven, and then four months after that,
the Hype Magazine contacted me and theywanted to team up with me to
do podcasting. So I got startedin that and I could set us to
(18:06):
be one of the revolution areas ofpodcasting because a lot of things that we
did then we see that it's beenimplemented in today's podcasting since it's popular.
I know you all remember the timewhere podcasting was kind of look upon and
radio stations we had some kind ofresistance against podcasters. But I'm glad that
(18:26):
that relationship is is you know,it's stilett. Now it's more stolt than
what it was. So that's howI got started in the entertainment business.
And then since then I have becomea media personality for the Hype Magazine.
I make monthly appearances on TMZ,which I would be on Mix coming Monday,
it's coming up. I would beon TMZ Live, so make sure
(18:48):
you tune into that. And soyeah, you know, just I just
I just thank God and I think, you know, my Lord and Savior
for just open these doors. Becausenow I have become the president of Next
Level DJ coalition, which is uha coalition or DJs, models and promoters
that promote each other and also promotein the talent that's meeting uh exposure as
(19:14):
well. We have a record labelthat's tied to us called Real Life Music
LLC. I have been named theCEO of that record label and we have
a distribution with the Universal Music Group. So it just gives artists opportunities to
you know, come through our platformfor promotion and stuff. And then we
have partnership with digit Wax, whichis a record pool out of New York
(19:40):
City that we work with and weteam up to break music basically and break
new talent. We have mainstream artistsall the way down to independent artists that
on part of that platform. Soyou know, just summon all that up,
you know, in a few minutes. Uh. That's pretty much been
my entertainment career. And I'm justhere to help and you know, the
(20:00):
serve people, man, that's allyou just love was like a hole of
bucket for like you had a wholeand not just like no little tims.
That's some big oranges and grape groupsand stuff like. That's about right,
I do remember. So when iI've been in radio probably since two thousand
and eight. I was on oneor two point three at the end in
(20:23):
Chicago, So when we talked aboutChicago, that was definitely my home land
for six years. And then Iwent to eleven hundred AGM, And you're
right, it wasn't pushed. Pardcastwasn't pushed back then. I always have
one, remember, but it wasn'tpushed. I remember that very well because
I was doing it right around foundtwo thousand and nine, two thousand and
(20:44):
eight, something like that, andI was up there in Jersey and New
York where we were doing a coupleof different stations. They were working with
it, but nobody really was likewe were looking down the point. Look
then we would go ride. Noteverybody's like, oh god, you know.
I was pretty crea. That's howpeople were like, I'm going to
air right now. I'm like, yes, you was like, you know,
(21:06):
the world will hear you, notjust like a local stations. That's
what. It can't change. Thosethings and the pandemic twenty twenty change the
whole world. Everything that wasn't importantbecame important when it came to step up
on the That's what really podcasts reallywent to the next level stream. Yeah.
Yeah, even the big time wasdoing podcast Yeah, baby, h
(21:34):
what did you say? I wassaying during the pandemic, we didn't had
so much time to unload information becausewe couldn't do it the same, you
know, really physically, so weall had to be and closed. So
yes, podcasting then at home. It's had so many stories to share during
that time, and that really reallyincreased the boom in the podcast. Everybody
(21:56):
got a podcast now the dogs tocast a little bit. I'm not to
tell all y'all podcasts to stop usingSenor. They started taking all my tides
like him, like, oh thisthis work. He was the ring.
(22:17):
Oh my god, I wanted togo and didn't on his shoulder, like
did you have to use every lastone of them? But you couldn't have
made up one of them on yourown. That's awesome, amazing going be
there. That's you know what Ilove I live in. When TMZ first
(22:37):
came out and everybody was just like, oh, yeah, that's just some
guys stuff. But TMZ grew likefrom leading vows, now is anything going
on? And TMZ said it sety'all get it first. You're like,
we got the intervition right here. One side. I do remember one side
when Little Wayne had that seagres andyears ago and they and they had pretty
(23:02):
much on the site and had reportedthat he was about to die and everything,
and so I had made some phonecalls because at that time I was
interviewing some of his newer artists ony'r Money and stuff, and so I
had to reach out to the prand be like, is that really going
on? So sometimes TMZ they getthe story wrong, but most of the
time now, since like you said, they have grown, they pretty much
(23:23):
know what's going on before we know. Check that TMZ put it out.
That's that's what they look for. They be like, I hush seeing TMZ
said it. So that's awesome,Because how did you get the opportunity to
work with TMZ. Well, Twitterwas like my main social media, uh
(23:51):
back when I started podcasting, andso I used that platform a lot to
book a lot of my interviews thatI had in my early years. So
I saw Tim's he made a postthat they had posted on Twitter or send
a tweet out about looking for likespecial gifts to come on and come and
take about, you know, whatevergoing on in pop culture. And so
(24:12):
it was back in twenty sixteen, and so I replied to it and then
they contacted me probably I think thatsame day, and so I started I
started out doing doing it with themthen for like a year and a half
until twenty seventeen, and I wason there probably like sometime two three times
(24:33):
a week, just come and takingon different topics and everything. And so
after twenty seventeen, I kind ofjust stopped, you know, inquiring about
going coming on there or whatever, and they didn't contact me. So spast
forward to twenty two this year wentto southout and that's a great, great
(24:53):
event to go to for anybody that'syou know and in any kind of entertainment,
uh and often Texas. And whenI came back, they had hit
me up, asked me that Iwant to come back home because when I
was down there, you know, people mistaken me for TET nine sometimes because
(25:15):
we looked people said we look likeevery me. Wow. So you know
what's also to me is that people. And that's why I that's one of
the reasons why I really wanted todo the interview with you and with the
(25:36):
other new moderators, because I don'tknow if the group members realize just like
how much you know, well, information and the opportunities are wrapped up when
I wrapped up inside of these moderatorsthat I choose, I generally don't just
choose anybody. I choose those two. I feel like it's gonna ask some
(25:57):
types of value to the group orwho has you know, some type of
brand, and I feel like they'llbenefit from being in the group, and
and and and and so I peoplewho are gonna be you know, dedicated
to to say, because you know, it ain't easy all these posts that
we get a need to prove beforeand all that stuff. And you know,
(26:18):
folks, seven I saw a goodartists post and they remember wake up
at two o'clock in the morning. It's just been like I'm gonna be first.
Like it's so much, it wasmuch on my office. So I
wanted to find moderators that have anatural love for the arts like we do,
and will be willing to help andthen also add value and and and
(26:40):
get in then some of the youknow, the the quality artists that are
in the group that you have firstDIBs at them when they post their music
and their music feels and stuff likethat. You know, and so I'm
really excited to have you know youon here alone with the fact that you're
(27:00):
bringing Hype Magazine. I don't knowif the listeners understand, but Hype magazine
has a very large following. Yeah, and so when you get going Hype
magazine, you know what I'm sayingor whatever, that's a big deal because
they're following is mass and you know, and and so that's like a great
opportunity for art, a really seriousIn fact, let me put my deusits
(27:21):
in you Hey, can I getan interview quality one? Absolutely? I
would love to have you all onmy podcast. I do host the podcast
with the Hype Magazine called DJ DanceParty. Virtual interv Series is the second
season. The first season was actuallya TV show that we were shooting during
(27:44):
the pandemic and so we really didn'thave the full crew or whatever. But
uh, it lasted for about ayear and a half from twenty twenty to
twenty twenty one, and it wasit was a great start to what we
have right now. So right nowwe have it in a podcast form,
but it will eventually go back todoing We'll be doing television again as well.
(28:04):
Along with the podcast. Yeah, that's that's awesome. Now all the
things that you do, because youyou do a lot of different things that
you have just told us what's someof the things like if you like to
do the most, like you likebeing like doing a podcast, or like
working with the magazine or doing thethings on Team Z or are you like
a writer or anything like that orDJ goalition and some of things you like
(28:27):
the most. I like the podcastbecause I like to talk to so it
just kind of, you know, work out very well, especially when you
want to talk. And so Ihave learned so much about the industry is
just from just basic normal conversation withthe gifts that I have on a podcast
(28:48):
just like hers. So everything isunscripted, and so I want my gifts
to feel like it's just a naturalconversation that is over the fall or doing
it in person or virtual, andso I have just time just listen and
they'd be times where they were talkmost of the show because I'm I'm sitting
there listening in or just taking intoknowledge of what they're talking about is well,
(29:11):
so I can apply that or usethat to help other people that might
be in the same situation. Soyou know, this podcast is by far
probably my favorite thing to do inthe industry. Besides DJing, I love
manipulating music. I'm a remix DJ, so I just love just blending and
(29:34):
massing stuff up all the time. But podcasting definitely is what I like to
do. And so that definitely hasopened up so many doors and opportunities,
not just for me, but justfor people I have come in contact with
us, working with me, orbeing guests on the show. Whatever.
It's just, uh, it's beena win win situation for everybody. That's
(29:59):
u and an amazing I got aquestion for you. So I hear you
talk about how you grew up listeningto music, all different types of music.
So I know you remember when hiphops first going started hip hop because
it didn't basic but I know rememberthat, right, So what are your
thoughts about the last you know, decade or two decades of hip hop?
(30:25):
And what do you think about thefact that there's a rumor going out that
Latino music and Afro beats is aboutto take over, Like, what are
your thoughts about those two things?Well, basically, like the world sound
and or called the universal sound isconsider the African beat music or Afro beats
(30:45):
and Latino music. The thing abouthip hop, I think everybody across the
board kind of just at some pointgot complacent to where you know, Paola
and all that guy really you know, going very strong during that time where
you can just buy your way togetting on the radio stations or getting on
(31:07):
the charts and stuff, and itkind of just oversaturated hip hop and it
came very stagnant because the sounds thatwe were hearing during that time was pretty
much similar. But yet you know, it was still popular. You're here
everywhere in the random movies, youname it. And so I think this
year, but hip hop kind oftaking a bad seat as far as being
(31:30):
like the number one someone having thenumber one record or number one on Billboard
chart. People are starting to realizethat we need to get back to the
art. And so that's why allthese festivals and the amphitheaters throughout the countries,
it's so packed with people that weused to listen to in the eighties
(31:51):
and nine at that back on tourand planeties being used selling out versus the
newer artists that's in the industry. And so I think we're taking it back
to the art, and that's aplus for hip hop. And maybe with
you know us being celebrating the fiftiethyear anniversary of hip hop, that the
(32:12):
younger generations and the older generation ofhip hop can somehow bridge that gap even
closer, so that way each generationcan pay hummage to each other. Because
all the other generals they pay homageto the artists in the past or whatever.
They collab and do records together andstuff like that. And so I
(32:34):
want to see that in hip hopas well, because we have so much
history and so much you know, talent that I would like to see those
different kind of collaborations and stuff, right, and so little regat can stop
running from the open. Look whenyou've got the younger generations complaining about the
(33:00):
club music, saying, the onlything that they're playing is just killing music.
We can't even enjoy ourselves, andwe're paranois. Now nobody gets enjoying
stuff. You know, back inthe nineties, two early two thousands,
when you go to the club, everybody they're like, hey, now everybody
(33:23):
is holding up the wall and they'relooking around to see who might come in
with a gun while they're playing youknow, murder Ink or something like you
know, definitely. Yeah. Ithink that when Young Dog started and I
(33:45):
said, when Young Dogs got killed, I said, oh, things about
the chance, I said, becausethat was a major, major, mainstream
artist and they were already starting toget killed. But it was something about
Young Dog stuff. I said, this is about the change stuff. And
I remember thinking to myself and eitherstaying it like somebody need to put out
an ass as somebody needed what elseI happened to I started talking about that
(34:07):
back in what twenty twenty, welltwenty twenty one or whatever, like there's
gotta be some changes, and soit's good to know that. So what
I'm saying has reached some people wherethey're like, yeah, there does need
to be some changes. And theold two people coming back like hey,
I got the money. Hey,you don't want to hear them? How
(34:28):
about us? Remember this LU andeverybody attacking it in and some of the
newer ones their consciences of bigness castlesaren't pretty much. While I'm is not
like getting all through to people likeOkay, I gotta bring a invest with
me, right right right? Igot So that's yeah, that's all out
(34:52):
of the older music, is uhcoming back on the Billboard charts because it's
rest the lading back in h radiostations and fell like radio and stuff because
because for that reason they are touring, they actually put on the show and
stuff, and we missed that.It just is a nostalgic feeling and not
owners for us. Is they're alsogetting newer fans as well too, and
(35:15):
so you know, it's a it'sa beautiful thing that they can do that.
And but I would like to seethe younger generations embrace it, just
like the older generation embracing you knowwhat the younger generation is gone through right
now. The younger generation needs tolisten. That's their problem, Like they
(35:35):
don't want I want to be myown tipe. I only you learn that,
Like they don't want to listen becausebecause we've been telling them listening,
you've got to be creative. Youcannot continue to follow up that cookie cutter
pattern just because you saw he madea lot of money with it, Like
because people soon or later are goingto get tired of hearing the nonsense,
you know what I'm saying like this, So yeah, there's a lot more
(36:00):
chords. I feel there's a lotmore other chords out there. They can
you can use or melodies or notesthat you can kind of create something that's
gonna like really have a real differentseal. And I think they lost the
lack of the emotional when it goesto a lot of different lyric date type
of songs like rifical, you know, I mean not necessarily just you know,
just you say, cook each other, but if you lytical, it
(36:22):
deftly stands out. But it's adifferent time to different innovation. But some
of them weren't ever been older. They're gonna listen to some of that music
is gonna pop up, like itsay, being black with black in votations,
do something that's gonna make it okay, I remember this song or I
know this song. It could beyou know, ten and fifteen, twenty
years old, you know what Imean. And then they also are doing
(36:43):
a lot of remixers. Like yousaid, you have a DJ, you
do remixers too, So it helps, it helps to bring that part of
that culture back to some people whomay not even even knowing about it because
I think that you know, thecertificate radio like all they listen to,
they don't really like check a lotof the some things out there and see,
okay, what what what was myparents list or what saying that kind
(37:05):
of stuff. You know, Sofive DJs like itself in the coalition.
If you guys are doing you know, being the remack and going to help
back that bridge that goat all allthe DJs out there, you know,
that's one of the five elements inhip hop, says Weep say that right
there. Yeah, get get y'allstay back from these industries because they ain't
get right with it. They welet us y'all, let us tried and
they didn't work out right here andget that control back it with the d
(37:34):
things that was breaking records back inthe day, with the DJs that was
making the music read from one cityyou know to another, one state to
another. I don't know what theindustry true. So I heard, I
don't know if you could talk aboutit, but I heard there was a
private leasing back in the early ninetiesbetween the industry I'm sorry, between the
industry other people, and they wasdoing some stuff. They had something to
(37:54):
do with music from Chris. Didyou hear that wrung her just a little
bit of that. I do knowthat like the corporations have have have a
big play and and say in themusic that being played on the stations today.
And like and like we had tosay before all that murder music and
(38:17):
drill music and stuff that coming fromCorporate America, Like they back a lot
of these these labels and and andradio stations U Our Heart Radio, you
know, Clear Channel ran By,you know, corporate USA. And so
I could see that and you knowa correlation to the prisons and stuff,
(38:38):
because they making money both ways.In a way, they make money when
they have prisoners and they make moneywhen consuming whatever type of music material that
they put in up. Wow,so let's they just started becoming doing rock
and room the rock and that wellyou know right now right it's only yeah
(39:17):
still playing. Yeah that's but yeah, that has kind of died down.
So it didn't has it has?And I'm like, if you played around
with it as a DJ or anartist, you just trying to open up
the different different ways to find outwhat's gonna be a good sound. Because
(39:39):
I put that like decade, weused to change in the decades, right
right, So now we're in anew decadue and it really hasn't changed as
much from twenty ten to twenty twenty, you know, right, so it's
just like, where were we atwith this thirteen years now? Shedn't this?
(40:00):
It was a there was a Imean that decade was a numberly because
usually music would have cycled out bynow, but this, this decade of
of hip hop has a long standinggrip hold, and you know this consumers
and the people the inside, peoplelike man like this translation had already cycled
(40:22):
out by now, but it hadan a stenching probably about another five to
six years in which, like yousaid, music really really rolled around every
ten years or whatever. Uh justfound and everything started to change. But
I feel like now that you knowwhat what everything is happened, you know
where you know untimely death for youknow, some of our favorite artists or
(40:45):
or you know, some of ourmainstream artists that we focused on more on
the art. I know, peoplestill gonna make drill music and and all
of that because I just part ofthe culture. But I think as far
as I the stations or the broadcast, they're leaning toward more that cleaner hip
hop or that conscious hip hop orpart of hip hop instead of you know,
(41:07):
just having out at drill and killingmusic that we haven't listening to for
a while. It ain't know allof Fessil stuff too, and you know
that that stuff is probably gonna alwaysbe played on a radio. But as
far as like the period of hiphop, that sound is definitely coming back.
It is. It has to hearyou up because they got this this,
(41:27):
this this hip hop, this thiship hop right now that everybody's strong
out on fan purposes. If theyain't, you say, they're running from
the hot get some some fin orsome perpose or some agency so they can
feel you know what I'm saying,So Beyonce can come to go get a
prescription, right and stuff like that'schanged right throughout the years. Because how
(41:53):
do you feel like screams compared toselling CDs or albums has change the game
as well. Strings really have takenaway from the artists because you know,
selling CDs out of your trunk ora car. You know a lot of
people got started that way and wasable to build empire from that masterpidus you
(42:16):
know, you know, cast moneyall those guys that they started, you
know, from selling out of theirtrunk or their neighborhood and stuff. And
see the streams the strings again. You know, that's why I'm tied into
corporate and so the artists definitely don'tget and the kind of leeway when they
comes and streaming other than getting aplaque. You get a million streams,
(42:38):
you get a plaque and everything, but they not benefitting financially like they would
have that they was able to stillsell CDs and stuff like that. That's
what I tell artists and I andI know you hear me say in the
group. Sometimes I have posts.I don't know how to up you able
to catch my posts. But I'malways talking fact that I'm always gonna artists,
(43:00):
you back to your money, getback to tangible items. I did
a hole. So I have analbum that I released. I'm called the
Journey right, and it was acollection of music because I have uh work
with different artists, I mister Style, different people over the last twenty years,
mister Hankey and all that kind ofstuff. And I put it on
a CD and I did a testright before I ever released it to streams.
(43:24):
I had a EF released party andI sold it only to the people
who came from my I release partyI had took of Atlanta twenty twenty two.
I'm only the ones who too came. I gave the topics. I
went to different cities and sold it, to make USB's and sold it.
I made much more money right sellingmy USCS and my CDs and stuff like
(43:49):
that than I ever got in streams. In fact, I'm trying to figure
out who's responsible catching off the streambecause y'all missing a lot of streams.
I know y'all playing my music morethan in your opinion. You know what
I'm saying. I always tell theartists, and I try to encourage even
the promoters when you have to ditch. I allow these artists to have vendor
(44:14):
tables to sell their merch get backto what you can calculate and act to
teach the numbers two instead of justtrusting that somebody said only one person played
your music only one stream, whenon another platform they don't have that same
thing, to say you've got fivestreams and someone else say you've got twenty,
(44:34):
but they only calculated the one.The pasture only got to play the
one. What happened to them otherstreams? Y'all ain't catch them? Where
the arms and we say the stringsthe word purpose You remember when the one
you're so happy? Remember you forreal? That song was every screenwig that
(44:57):
was song with you couldn't go nowherewithout being happy, four different things at
one time, one times at onetime. One yeah, like he needed
y'all to be happy. But youknow when he wasn't happy when he got
his check, he took in thecourt. Yeah yeah, you yeah,
(45:17):
you run. Yeah, he tookin the court. He's job got me
messed up. You got everybody allaround the world happy to hell, but
I'm not happy right now, rightright? Yeah. You think i'd be
careful about those streaming companies, LikeI would recommend like artists to sell stuff
out there actual wealth site, likebuild your storefront something and just distribute the
(45:38):
music yourself. That way you'll getall that money up front versus, like
you say, streams, because you'renot gonna get paid for streams. Uh.
That's why you had to build yourbrand and go on tour and like
pop up somewhere and put your merchout and stuff like that. But like
if you create like a storefront orsomething like that to where you can distribut
(46:00):
your own music and sell it,and I see that's that's a positive of
the artists. They able to benefitfrom the music versus having our well everywhere
on streaming platforms because you know what, that's worked because and a lot of
artists don't really want to put itin the word. The work is getting
out here here and doing that streetteam type thing and and building. I'm
(46:24):
said, they come to your websiteor to buy your merchant. Artists don't
want to do that. They justwant to post it up on on Facebook's
YouTube whatever and just be like,y'all come get it, come get me
here. I am I'm the bombstreets. But you got you gotta pay
zero zero zero, like it's notfair. The good thing about streaming is
(46:45):
people who you may never see inthe world knows about your music. They
heard give music, they love givemusic. You may never get over their
France to France and heard it.You may never get the chenada the candor
heard it. However, that ain'tputting money in your body. Now you
can't even put gasing of tank forwhat they think right, So they should
be a stream should be actually somethingmore than just when it was a point
(47:07):
one. It shouldn't be more likea dollar, like if you play the
song, it should be a dollar. And they they raised the press boys.
Sometimes the artist said we want mymoney to watch the collective doll nine
cents if my bias off in ninesense, put your stream in the coffee.
Of course, I'm not gonna makeit because it was a little point
(47:28):
one whatever. You know what Ithink. I think that the corporations understood
that the independent artist was going tobecome a big thing. Yeah, and
and they knew the ability they hadto sell out of their car out of
the exact, you know, becauseat that point we should have to lease.
I think that it was a wayto keep the independent down right,
so they could still have that leverageand they continue to put their artists.
(47:52):
They knew the control the independent artists. That there are millions of independent artists,
millions yet having the fall that theysaid it was tutting out every every
day or two hund that fifty thousandfalls, yeah, you know, su
(48:15):
every day. And I'll tell people, I'll tell artists this. Listen,
if there are millions, let's justsay if there's one million. Let's you
just can't say one million, althoughwe know there's more artists than that.
But if one million artists decided totake ten dollars and all and invested all,
and let's say they was to findone person or two people or five
people they're like and just bought fromeach other, just you know, just
(48:36):
bought from five to teens. Thenthey would make them artists to buying power
for the independent. Buying power isjust two mangers. Yeah, get out
numbers mainstreams. But mainstream kind oflike putting a rat in the little bent
in a little setstor right and makingthem think that they're not, you know,
(48:58):
making them think different and what realityis? Yeah? Do you have
Yeah? I mean, well,I know we can't go back to going
and the cars and Trump and everythingand do that anymore. Why not?
Let me tell you something. Cars, I do have what records like that
all people? I have eighteen thousandand eighteen player on this right, my
car still got CD player? Whyare you fooling? That's true? You
(49:21):
know two thousand and seventeen they stillwas making TV players, maybe the new
ones, you know, you know, but what about you, Tarence?
Do you have a CD player orUSB port in your car? Uh?
Definitely have to give it a sportin the car. I know I have
a normal model video because now don'thave CD players. Most of that have
(49:45):
either the ops. Uh connection orthe USB port now all blue pools so
you can even get your music downloadedon USBs and have a cute little car.
I've earned everything, I got onemember. I want to. I
turned my my music into a CDin the USA, you know, and
(50:07):
so they could played in the cardownalog on their phone, added to their
playlists. Like artists, stop thinkingthat you don't have the power to make
that money. You do, butyou gotta put in the work. Yeah
right, that's true. Spot theprocess. Yeah, why are you waiting
for Spotify to say you got twentydollars? We could be about there making
(50:30):
two thousand dollars, you know whatI'm saying. A little get to open
up kind of stuff. That's that'sreally important right there. But the vendors
that promothers got to help too.Y'all need to provide vendors tables. So
do you do? I'm just right? Magazines do they have it this?
(50:52):
And do they have this for independentartists all the time? All We teamed
up what Ryan Hart Willy for Grassrootsseminar series that's going on currently uh with
our CEO Jamila Wickerson. Check thatout. You can go to the Hype
magazine dot com or to our socialmedia platforms to get more information on that.
(51:15):
But yes, we always uh doingevents or uh pop up for independent
artists. We do it in Atlantaout there in Las Vegas, La,
New York even we have a lotof people that's affiliated with us that put
on these events and stuff. Andlike I was talking about Labor that weekend
(51:40):
we are doing. We are oneof the sponsors for Atlanta hip Hop Weekends,
and so we don't have a lotof independent artists that's gonna be performing
doing that weekend too. So yes, we are all about the independent artists,
giving them a platform and you know, just to be able to to
sell their time. Do you alsoprovide vendor tables for because for people to
(52:06):
buy their merch because I found thebest time to sell merchants when you get
up off the stage. Yeah, right, So do y'all provide vendor tables
for these artists to be able topromote their merch after they've gotten off off
the stage. Yes. Uh.One of the cool things we did when
we was taping on the first seasond they Dance Party. While we was
(52:27):
doing the TV taping of the show, we would have vendors set up outside
of our studio, fashion designers, artists, uh, just anybody that that
had a business and and wants touh promote during the event, and so
we always have events where you can'tcome out and promote as well. And
then you know, set up anetwork. And that was one of the
(52:51):
cool things about doing the TV showduring that time, as networking with different
vendors that I might not have metI saw I wasn't doing the show because
they came there to set up toyou know, sell their merged and the
network. Yeah, that's all beenamazing. So being that you are now
(53:14):
Atlanta Music Industry Group moderated with someof the other moderators like right Live Entertainment,
we we and I have a coupleof more that I reach out to
that I want to see if theywant to come on and talk about their
brands, you know, what they'redoing or whatever. But I definitely would
love because Right By Entertainment has beencollaborating with us for the last two years
(53:39):
for hook Up Atlanta. I definitelywould love to see if if Hype Magazine
or your you know, the DJCoalition, next level DJ Coalition, if
they would like to, you know, come together and do the third annual
with you know, the third annualhook Up Atlanta and hook and hook Up
(54:00):
and it's just a networking event forthe land music industry groups. It's about
networking the people that we've been theartists we've been seeing, the different podcasters,
DJ's grafts, everybody just kind ofgetting together and networking and having fun.
And most of the time the artistsperformed. So you get like last
(54:20):
year we have when I say thatartists was off the preaching change like and
they were coming from all over.So we want to do it again.
I know it's kind of getting laterin the year, but I've promised them
we was gonna have a networking event. And I'm a woman of a word,
so definitely definitely would like to seeif you and your team along with
(54:45):
some of the other moderators would liketo come together and just get one popping
before the year. It ends absolutelyall. We can definitely a get together
and you know, plan a networkingevent, and you know that would be
great to you know, give upfor the you know, give back to
(55:06):
the artists and just the baby tohelp each other. That's what it's about.
If we don't unify in all honesty. That's why you know, I
have the Indie Revolution, and I'malways preaching that because y'all don't understand how
powerful we all when we come togetherand unite. We all got resources,
all got ideas, we all gotstuff, we all got falls, we
(55:28):
all got all this. When wecome together and do stuff together and support
each other, that makes you morepowerful the mainstream. I'm sorry, you
know it is what it is.We all in fact, in my opinion,
Internet artists are the new mainstream.Yeah. I find so much good
music that way, by going throughthe independent different groups and stuff like that.
(55:51):
And I also like get like theDJ coalitions like those those are so
if you're an artist, if youryeah, you want to send that music
to those DJs and you want tobe on those coalitions or whatever, those
groups or wherever. Once you canget it, you know, get involved
with because then you get your musicto those DJs and it's thousands, tens
(56:12):
of thousands of DJs out there, one hundred thousand, Volus a million DJs.
We get your music, herbs, fun, and then it helps you
get out there. What we doand with a promotion and stuff that we
do or a pr work or anythinglike that. We help ours get their
music spun, and then they actuallypeople want them to come into town for
them, come to their city, come to their area. Like I just
got from a man, the realWoody, Like they just invited him to
(56:35):
come out there to Vegas in October. So the real Woody, you know
the the last flo video flyer thatI created with you, and the artist
is coming on later. What's athe Boss is coming on later? You
know that song behind? Yeah, that is Woody. Yes, yeah,
(56:58):
that's why it's fine, very verywell. Fine, this is different.
Yeah, that's what we need outhere. Soon I get in the card,
I get mad because it's like,Hi, did you hear that you
still? Yeah? Yeah, I'mSTI here I would disagree with you.
(57:21):
Oh I'm sorry. Yeah. Iget the car now and it's just like
getting the back of my trip anda fleet and then fleet. I'm hold
on. You didn't used to beable to cuss on the radio. Now
you're about not seeing everything you know, and there's no I swear hip the
hip today's hip hop. This newgeneration not understand how Grandma and them used
(57:42):
to feel about rock and roll.Man. Now there's no meaning in that
music, So meaning there's no love, there's no growth in that music.
It's all I mean you you're speakingabout things get that can only lead to
the grades. You know what I'msaying. You run it from the ops,
(58:06):
and while you're doing it, yousmoke. You're smoking the Malli.
You know what I'm saying, You'rerolling down there. It's not there's no
life in that. There's no educationin that. Yeah right, huh says
(58:27):
also there's no soul in it either, So no love shop can wrap yes,
yes, yes, So what doyou have any new projects? Do
y'all ever work with any artists individuallyand push their like, select different ones
(58:52):
that you really really know? Yousaid you have a label. So when
you're out there doing your podcast andyou're bringing artists in a podcast, do
you ever kind of select the onesthat you really want to work with?
And then how do you decide whoyou're going to have on your podcast?
Do you just do they submit stuffto you or you select them? It
(59:13):
kind of goes both ways. Therereached out to me and it's just a
field for what I have as faras who I want to have on the
show. Just looking at their youknow, body of work as far as
their passion forward and and just thethings that they're doing to get their their
music heard. And so I reachedout to talent that I see that acts
(59:36):
out they're putting in the work. And but it goes both ways. Uh,
I get we get a lot ofsubmissions and stuff for the show,
and so you know, we'll alsotake that into consideration too. So okay,
okay, So are there any arethere any independent artists that you have
run across in the Atlanta music industrygroup that you actually have worked with or
(01:00:00):
whose music really cut your eye orthat who you can like name? Uh
so far? Uh, there's anartist by the name of Darius Kings.
Uh. I have been working withhim, uh excrusively, probably the last
three weeks. Uh. He juststarted doing music over a year ago,
(01:00:22):
but you can't really tell that he'sonly been doing it for a year.
He's very mature and even when hisfound it sounds like he's been doing it
for years. So uh, that'sone of the artists that's in the Atlanta
music industry groups that I've been workingwith as a wright currently. What's his
(01:00:45):
name? Uh name uh Darius Kings, Darius Keys Uh King as like King
Crown King Kim Okay, all right, got you. You know another thing
I feel like the artists need isthey really need more education. They need
(01:01:07):
to understand about marketing and promotions andtaking advantage of different marketing and promotions.
Because if people don't see you working, if they don't hear you, if
you know, if you're not usingopportunities like like for instance, tonight is
it was a free marketing opportunity. All they needed to do was called in
(01:01:30):
and say, hey, my nameis x y Z and I got a
new you know, single out onand my website is and that and that
would have been a permanent part ofthis interview, right, And so anytime
I'm promoting this interviews, they're automaticallygetting you know, substands or they could
have set in music or anything. You know. I feel like the artists
(01:01:52):
are so stuck on Facebook, Instagram, you know, Twitter, that they're
not understanding how to take advantage ofdifferent networking and promotional opportunities, right,
especially the ones that you don't gotto pay for it, right, give
any more education. So it's nextlevel up the DJ Coalition, right,
(01:02:14):
Uh, Real Life Music LLCV workingwith and Hype Magazine Terry s J did
it? So did he put outinformation about how you reach out to one
more going up? Yeah, becauseI've been talking to the death. I'm
sorry not women are all right?Absolutely? First of all, First of
all, I will say thank youall for alignment to be on the show.
(01:02:35):
Uh. You can follow me onInstagram at the Real TV and you
spell it uh TV E E RE c X uh. As far as
the Hype magazine website www dot TheHype Magazine dot com, Next Level,
DJA Coalition dot com, Real LifeMusic LLC dot com, and we also
(01:02:58):
have social media page who as wellwith those same names, so uh,
you can follow us on Instagram,Twitter, and Facebook as well. I'm
curious, do you have any childrenthat are following along in your musical footsteps.
No, I've been trying to getthem to, you know, be
(01:03:22):
part of two Factor Media with mynonprofit organization nonprofit media organizations, but they
all have other career aspirations, buthopefully one day they might step into entertainment,
right right, yeah, okay, okay, so do you so as
we're winding down your segment of theinterview, and I just wanna thank you
(01:03:45):
so much for coming through, fortelling us who you are, so that
when the last you know, whenthe Latin Music Anstry Group members do see
you, they will understand they're reachingout to you will be probably very good
for their career. Like you gotto understand, you know what I'm saying.
(01:04:05):
I don't think there's so much information. There's so many different people,
some of them good, some ofthem not, that are offering stuff,
and sometimes it's hard to know whoto choose unless you get an interview like
this where you're able to listen tothem talk about what all they have to
offering, who they are, youknow what I'm saying. And so it's
good that you were able to comeon and talk to us, and that
(01:04:28):
those who take the time to listenand who are really serious about their craft,
you know, will reach out toyou. It's not even just from
listening, you're just watching you promoteyour different things people you do you have
any still out could you repeat thatI'm sorry, Any shout outs that you
(01:04:53):
would like to give to anybody?Oh yeah, I definitely to give a
stout for my Lord and Savior,Jesus Christ, my wife The High Magazine
two Cyclopedia Next Level day coalitions, real life music, MZ Digitwax and you
(01:05:15):
all for you know, allow meto come on your platform and you know,
to do this interview with you.I definitely appreciate that if you could
give one word of advice to someonewho is aspiring to be either in a
DJ or you know, a podcaster, or who really wants to be an
(01:05:38):
artist, whoever, whoever, whatever, Because you do so many things,
what advice would you give to someonewho wants to do smilar things or maybe
all the things that you do?Well, it's kind of like a combo,
uh deal. Here, be yourselfand don't allow the point at peace
(01:06:00):
for you're a media circle or yourneighborhood or your city, and the stuff
from trying to tell to do something, because it's eight billion people out here
that you can market to other thanthe people that's around you and your circle
that can be family, friends oror people that just in your general facility.
So you know, if you justbe yourself and then and you know,
(01:06:24):
well I have a purpose, Soyou know, if you feel like
God has given you a purpose andserve that purpose and just be yourself.
Yeah, that's real stuff like that, A man, I love it I
appreciate you so much. Yeah, definitely I'll be getting with you and some
of the other moderators to talk aboutSCIP Atlanta. I'm gonna be out in
(01:06:47):
Atlanta this weekend, so but Iknow you're not in that year, so
you probably won't be able to meetingwith us in person, but maybe we
could still get you on the phonefor you could be a part of the
meeting or whatever. But I'm justhappy to have you here. And I
hope that you, you know, enjoyed being a moderator, and I hope
that you make a lot of connections, you know, networking, and I
(01:07:09):
hope it build your brand and itbrings you some of the best artists.
And I'm glad that you're actually lookingin the group for artists. Like you
said, Darius King is someone thathe uh found in the group, discovered
in the language intergroup that he's beenworking with and that he's you know,
he sees potentially in And there's alot of potential in there, a lot.
(01:07:29):
You know, there's some of y'all, I know all of your Mama
said you was good, but therewas a lot of there's a lot that's
really really, really good. Youknow, and so it's worth you know,
session through you know what I'm saying. Some of them just having fun,
some of them are serious fun, serious, right, So yeah,
I definitely appreciate that. Thank youso much, sir, and enjoy your
time at the beach. I'm jealoushanging out there having fun. But well,
(01:07:55):
I know we're on the beach awesome, just trying to get away.
Ain't refresh the mind. You gottahave it, you know what with so
many things going on, family, work, life, relationship, just all
(01:08:15):
the things. You gotta have thatthat me time, that relaxation times,
that chill times. So we wantto thank you so much. We got
another artist that's coming on right afterthis, a Mirror Buss. I'm sorry,
Ari, the buss is coming on. I'm messed up all the night.
(01:08:41):
It's like, so we're gonna takea quick break and play some more
music that uh some of Armadaris people. Yeah, when I say she has
the greatest artist, the greatest workat it, I'm going to miss seeing
her. She would just send methis inspirational words sometimes you call me.
(01:09:09):
Yeah, she was still pushing herbrand even from the hospital, you know.
So it's a great loss to theindependent movement. It's a great loss
to independent artist. You know, she was somebody who really cared about the
people. She rocked with sole playingmore of her music, and then it
was gonna comeback. Is a boss. She gonna beat me up, all
(01:09:30):
right, gonna beat me up.Tas for calling this uptence, Oh yeah,
thank you so much. Yeah,I told myself with myself around,
(01:10:06):
come around. I was a foolboy. Don't say mobile. Even though
I want to be read, Ijust can't away a round now. You
told me you're ready. Time.I fund out too, been plaster,
(01:10:30):
but I got dad to bud andI know your friend to day take my
(01:10:58):
bread, myself, my time Igave you, oh my fid out,
my sacrifie. Just stay up.You don't time moved downs and you play
me out and figure it out.Came me up, Yeah, so became
(01:11:28):
even more want to be red.I just can't away now. You told
me you're ready. Time and funout could have been, but I got
let you city get ready and Iknow you're tad. Come on, get
(01:12:03):
to day read myself. Even thoughI'm gonna be with you, I just
can't win a round. Saint comingyou ready the time the best come and
(01:12:29):
friends up. But I gotta day. I gotta side to get Brady and
I know your day. No,I don't read myself. This is your
(01:13:03):
boy, bad boy, Billy flat. Whether I'm just chilling in the studio
or kissing the lead and lead orout on the street promoting our new CD
kny G Waller Bay. No matterhow you played, I'm down with Patricia
and mister stout on on the move. Unscripted bait, yes, right,
me back to the vendor best Stoutstop the unscript mute it it was,
(01:13:30):
it wasn't it wasn't muted, mutedit. So, however are you doing?
Everybody? I hope that you enjoyedthat first interview with mister Paras Jay
Bennett Senior. And so we haveanother artist that is on the line.
Oh yeah, then we got allthe other boss holding it down from Jersey
(01:13:51):
City, New Jersey. Mack,Hey, Hey, what's going on?
All right? You didn't hear memess up your name? Right, I've
been messing up all night. Ithink it's the mercury retrograde. No,
you're okay, You're all right,all right, I know what you're mad.
You know I doing right? Iam blessed and grateful. I can't
(01:14:14):
complain even if I wanted to thankyou so much for having me on your
show. I'm really excited, pumpedup, you know, and you're ready
to rock it out. So what'sthat talking to me? On? So,
you know, we gotta take allthe artists down the yellow brick road.
But before we do that, Iknow the mister Stell. You know,
mister Stell, I've known each other. Wow, how did y'all connect?
(01:14:38):
I was at a fashion show thatshe was doing la oh yeah and
yeah, and I was doing thingsfor a magazine and I give her copy
of the magazine and said, definitelyI'm looking to this, and she did,
and then she doing the billboards andthen why sile a model down there?
(01:15:00):
And yeah, okay, okay, yeah, yeah moves real fact,
that's what's up. That's why I'mtalking about go get real exactly. We
like to take all of our artistsdown the yellow grid. Bro Wiz the
Wizard of Vibes, tip one youlike the best and just tell us,
(01:15:23):
you know, what is your loveof music and modeling and you know,
just being an influencer and motivator,Like where did I all start from like
where did it begin? You know? Yeah, if I could be honest,
you know, it really started mymom. She did music. She
still does music, and you knowshe has music and Tokyo and France and
(01:15:43):
things like that. So I wasalways a musical you know, a part
of a musical family, you know, writing poetry, singing with my sister.
You know, I'm just having thosetype of you know, memories and
moments with my family and then modeling. I actually just started doing something when
I was in college. I justwanted to, you know, be a
part of those shows. And Istarted out so horrible, like my knees
(01:16:04):
were bent, like you know. And it's so ironic that I met Kenneth
joining a New York last week showsbecause when I first started, it was
like really bad me, really reallybad. And I grew within myself.
I grew over time. And that'sjust my message to my butterflies and those
that are listening live right now andthose that will listen soon or eventually.
(01:16:25):
Keep at it. If it's somethingthat you want to do, if it's
something that you feel, you know, is a passion of yours and something
you can take far, just keepat it because you never know which day
will be your day and what daywill be your break. Okay, so
yeah, you know, just justjust over time, you know, everything
just started to develop. But musichas always been in my body. Yeah
(01:16:49):
that's amazing. So also you've beenlike doing a thing as an influencer,
and I know you can work withsome TV a little bit and you get
a lot of yeah get yeah, you know what I think's like talking to
people and being a personable person isjust like very easy for me. So
recently I just interviewed Tiffany Hattish,I just interviewed Michael Blackson Cool from Cooling
(01:17:14):
the Gang. So I mean it'slike an amazing experience. I did have
a show on rocul called the ShowcaseSpotlight, which I am no longer a
part of, so I wouldn't saywatch it, but I mean, you
know whatever, and yeah, youknow, like just I have a lot
of great things coming up. ButI'm going to be interviewing some celebrities at
the MTV Awards and you know, just being amazing. Right now, I'm
(01:17:39):
currently in a hospital, so Imean there's that. But you know,
like I said, you know, just keep at it. You know,
never let anything stop you. Orbreak you, and you know, that
shows the universe and God that you'reserious about your craft and what you want
to do. And then the blessingswill start rolling right after the rain starts
stopped falling. You know. Oh, in the hospital, I would pray
(01:18:01):
for a see recovery and yeah, that death show your dedication, your loyalty
to the crap we are because ain'tthat it's gonna stop. You're not even
the hospital. It's real, nodoubt. And now some of the other
things that you you've been working on, like what you got this new project.
You also do music, so canwe get into some of that,
(01:18:25):
right Big got a new single that'scoming out. Yeah, I do have
a new single that's coming out.Is really exciting. I mean, I
know you're gonna love it. It'scalled the Vibe, and it is a
vibe, not just because I'm avibe, but because it is a vibe.
You know, I write music,I sing, I wrap you know.
So I also have an artist rightnow, she's just finished shooting with
(01:18:49):
Love and Hip Hop Miami, soyou know, be sure to check that
out on Monday's seven eighth Central Time. And yeah, like you know,
I managed artists I am an artistsand I'm just all about personal development,
confidence coaching, and you know, putting out some hot music for the audience
to listen. So like the Vibecoming out very soon. Okay, are
(01:19:10):
the boss you did? I did? Are you active in the Lettin Music
answer group on Facebook? Yeah?Yeah, I've been posting in there.
I'm putting together like a little listthat I've been telling everybody about. So
yeah, i haven't been maybe inthe last like maybe two or three weeks,
but overall, yeah, I'm moredefinitely active, and I'm gonna get
(01:19:33):
a lot more active, you know, as of as of late, you
know, or as soon as wehang up, I'm gonna check to see
what's going on in there. Right. That's awesome. Have you been able
to the times that you have beenactive in the group. Have you spotted
any talent that like caught your eye? Is there anybody in the group that
(01:19:55):
you're like, you know, youwork with or you would like to work
with that you remember their name? No? Uh, not really, I'm
not gonna lie, but you know, now, you know, everything happens
for a reason. So you're mentioningthat I may just log in, you
know, or or tap into thepage and see somebody that I'm like,
oh, yeah, this is thisis where it's at. So, you
(01:20:17):
know, not yet. I alwayssay, and you know what, I
think that for any of the artiststhat may be listening, whether you're a
part of the group or not, just listening to you know, are the
Buss and you know Terrence, justtalk about their influences, you know,
and what they're the doors that they'reable to open for you know, artists
(01:20:40):
for anything, artists like you justsaid, love and hip hop. That's
a major door. You know whatI'm saying, Like it's yeah. I
always say like, oh it ismajor. It's it's beautiful, you know,
to watch people grow. You know, I do my branding and marketing
as well, so you know, helping brands are from the beginning to the
(01:21:02):
end. Shout out to Alex theWeirdos. So seeing that growth in her
it just has been, you know, just a phenomenal experience, you know,
just seeing people grow, you know, with your leadership and as you
follow God and follow you know, the right pipes. I mean it's something
that I I don't take for granted, you know, I just really don't.
(01:21:26):
Yeah, it's and I agree withyou because you know, since me
and mister Stalton have been a partner, you know, having our partnership as
far as the Letting Music Industry Group, and then the artists that he's brought,
the artists that I've brought, theartists that we've been working with,
and like you said, watching themgrow from when they you know, come
enjoin you to and watching them continueto move forward and grow in their craft
(01:21:49):
and and their brain and all theconcept that it makes you feel like a
proud mama, proud papa, right, Yeah, it do. Like I
like to see people grow and andstick around. I get people that I've
known them for ten or fifteen yearsago, and I still see them doing
everything. I don't even talk tothem, you know, as much,
but then they still come back andchop it up with us and give us
(01:22:12):
updates about what they've been working onand new things they were doing. And
I just I'd really like to seepeople grow in their craft, you know,
in their artistry or in their brandsor like in business, it's a
it's a learning and a growing process. So that's the best way to really
do it and get gain and learnall information that you possibly can about this
industry because you know, you canget to run around a lot of stuff,
(01:22:35):
right, you know, so youwant to be able to know what
it is that you're doing. Butif you don't know, ask somebody who
does. They can actually really takeit to that next level. That's what
you know, what all the peoplethat we started to like, you know
with terrorists and what are the bossis doing? Like, that's what they
bring to the table, you know. So you know, keep yourself in
good company like that. And thegood thing about us is that we continue
(01:22:57):
to work and to promote it artistseven after they're no longer like actively they
may not be actively working with usat that moment, but when they got
a new project and new something theyshooting to us, we still share,
we still promoted, We still youknow, I'm still showing love the artists
that came to hook Up Atlanta twentytwenty one, hook Up Atlanta in twenty
twenty two. You know what I'msaying, because I felt like it's it's
(01:23:19):
a partnership. You they believed inus enough to bring their gifts, their
talent, their time investment to us, and so you know, we show
that love back by keeping a longterm relationship with them and assisting them and
still growing, you know what I'msaying. So a lot of times people
in the group will see me postinga lot of the some of the same
(01:23:41):
artists, and that's because they gotnew stuff going on, and I'm still
pushing them. Just because they're they'renot at the event right now, or
they haven't been on the movement scriptedlately does not mean I don't still put
I still push them, right, you know, we still plot them,
we still support downs. Yeah, and that's what it's about, you know.
And so I'm glad that you,as an artist are not just pushing
(01:24:03):
yourself, but you are schooling that, you know, reaching back and grabbing
other artists and helping me. I'mlike, that's what it's all about,
is like you, I'm artists too, right, But I find just as
much joy and pushing other people asI do myself, right right, Yeah,
I feel that, I really know. That's what That's what it's about,
(01:24:26):
you know, the building that relationship, that network that connections, and
you know, just just allowing peopleto be all you know they can be,
because at the end of the day, that's gonna benefit you as well.
And you know, I just Ijust really, you know, love
what I do. I love seeingpeople go from zero to one hundred,
one hundred two, one thousand andone thousand two, you know, the
(01:24:47):
next level, and you know itbrings me great joy. And on top
of that, also knowing that Ineed a mentor. I need someone that's
gonna guide me and help me towhere I'm going as well. So it's
not the blind. I lead inthe blind, you know, constantly picking
up knowledge and information and connecting withthe right people, rubbing elbows. And
now you know, before I eventook a big splash into Aria the Boss,
(01:25:11):
I took time to build my network. So now I have a network
in the modeling industry, I havea network in the music industry. I
also wrote a series. It tookme six months, and now you know,
I'm in the process of building upactors for that. I have another
reality TV show that's coming out that'snot trademark yet, so I won't mention
it two months. But I haveyou know, uh mentors and that.
So it's all about you know, making sure that you're fully equipped to continue
(01:25:35):
to lead, not just you know, pick up some information, teach what
you know, and then now youyou're stuff trying to you know, lead,
So you've got to constantly every dayall day, you know, better
your craft constantly, you know, work on you know, finding out who
you are, what God has sentyou here for, so that you can
(01:25:55):
impact other people the way you wantto be impacted yourself. You better come
out with it now, motive betterinfluence or she not played with y'all to
y'all here on it. Yeah, coach too, No hope y'all wrote it
down. Are you still doing somethingfor it's the fact that we just coming
up with in September. Are you'regonna be doing any of those for this
(01:26:16):
year? You know what? IAm actually going to be just focusing on
my music. I got a performanceall this twenty seventh, a celebrity event,
so right now I'm focused, youknow, just solely on that.
But I did put some of themodels that I do know in fashion shows
in celebrity events, so you knowit's it's okay, it's not just about
(01:26:39):
me, it's about them as well. So you know, I'm just pushing
my connections forward. That's awesome.Well, we know you can't be on
here long because you are in thehospital, and we definitely want you to
concentrate on your health because health isfirst. You know, I gotta be
able to take that time to nurkyyourselves, to support yourselves to rest,
(01:27:00):
So we want I know that that'sprobably gonna be coming in in a minute
and taking care of your niece. You know what. Currently I'm getting an
X ray. Currently she's not playingyou know, influential words out here and
(01:27:25):
let'm know who I really am andthen we'll get right back to this x
ray. Yeah, the doct givesme so amazing. You know, he's
being patient, you know, andthat's probably because he loved the way he
does, so he doesn't really haveto you know. Uh, you know,
he understands what's going on. Andthat's what it is about being an
attractive person, not in looks, but in your spirit and who you are.
(01:27:50):
But you know, how can ifsomeone would like to follow you or
like to get in touch with you, where they like to check out some
of your videos to Like I said, I saw the modeling thing is on
Facebook. You know, I wasn'table to attend, but I was definitely
watching it. It was amazing. So how can people get in touch with
(01:28:13):
you, what's your tell us yoursucial handles, you know, or you're
contacting for me? Yeah? Absolutely, the doctor for me not to breathe.
So I'm just gonna finish this righthere. You can follow me on
Instagram Aria at the Bars A riI A H E B A W s
E. You can follow me onFacebook, same thing, TikTok, same
thing, Aria at the Bars.I do have a YouTube that i'm building
(01:28:35):
currently, so just follow and I'llstart adding some content shortly. And yeah,
you know, I love y'alls.Stay beautiful, stay blessed. You
know, never let anybody tell youwho you can be and what you can
do. And I'll see you atthe top because the bottom is just too
crowded. I'm out worry how old. Yeah, we're blowing you building and
(01:28:57):
love and tell the doctor we saidwe're appreciate him and thank him from all
for all he does for the patiencehe takes care of. Right, thank
you so much. We appreciate yourmama. No, there is, that's
our first world, right there was. I'm like, actually, I think
I did speak to Amadi because she'san hospital in the video, But that
thing that might wasn't the first oneright here on the move though, that
(01:29:20):
was that was that right sing apassion in both of the conversations that we
had in both of the guests tonightthat actually like you can hear that,
you can hear an experience about howthings are coming their way, but then
work so hard to get to getto that point where they are right now.
And that's very inspirational. Yes,just how they and the one thing
(01:29:45):
that they both had in common wasperseverance made me quit. You know what
I'm saying. You know, Ithink the Terence says since nineteen eighty eight,
you know, for her, she'sdoing it rain sleep. He was
snow. You know, She's like, hey, I'm in the hospital.
But let hold on, guy,let me get this interview out because this
is going to you know, thisinterview may go here there, and I
(01:30:06):
want people to know who I handgold on a minute, get the X
ray kids staying right there were comingLike that's deep. That shows you know
who she is as a person,as an artist, as a leader.
That's why she's doing MTV with Alexi. Worn't big up the elexed word.
So I got a chect to meethere out there in Manhattan and New York
City. That was so great, you know, to see her perform live.
(01:30:28):
You know, I've seen her videosand things like that. And then
you know what Aria is doing fora lot of these artists out there.
She's making a way for them, but she's also making a way for herself.
They said, she's working with youknow, MTV, and she's got
TV shows coming out there. Butshe got the new music. It's it's
a lot that goes with that, right you know. So, yeah,
they got to all of them, you know, and you know, I
(01:30:48):
would like that's like to know stuffwith terrorists of the arts that he may
know that he can slide our ways. We can put them on our playlists
and stuff like that as well, you know. So yeah, and if
you've got some music, send itover to was Out with email that you
want to use the artists in yourmusic on the Move show at popmail dot
com. I like sitting that overmans. Get him on there, you
(01:31:10):
say him also to kind of stoutat seven one at gmail dot com or
scheme Beach Radio at gmail dot com. And I will I'm actually gonna be
on the air this weekend. Andwe're still celebrating fifty years of fifty year
anniversary of hip hop. We're stilldoing that as well, and I'm doing
I'm putting together a new playlist whichyear music is on theirs bow. Yeah,
we're gonna get a skatemark and rollon you as well. Got another
(01:31:35):
another track I do So I havethe remix, the Skate Rocket Roll coming
out on September twenty third. Yeah, this is the remix. Shall you
know, you got to remix onthe remix remix and we got one that's
hot. So it's been getting alot of love, you know, featuring
(01:31:55):
one Way Day and you then zproducer for that you know that some beat.
Yeah, I'm amazed when I thinkabout all the songs that has hit
number one for me on the NBcharts and how you created most of the
beats you know what work together?Yeah, you know, and yeah,
(01:32:17):
I mean I appreciate you know youguys what y'all do too. Yeah,
yeah, definitely. So for allof you who follow us or you want
to contact us, you can alsogo to the website for the Atlanta Music
Austry Group, which is www dotAtlanta Music. What is z m U
(01:32:38):
z I C industry dot com.So that's Atlanta Music Industry dot com and
you can actually access to Facebook groupthough I was talking about with the thirty
two thousand members. You can accessthat through the website. So if you
go to a better music industry UHdot com and then click on the Facebook
or Instagram or whatever, you'll beable to go direct into those groups.
(01:33:01):
And like I said, we havethere's so many talented artists in there,
so many talented labels. You know, I actually met you know, Terrence
J. Benne Senior in that group. You know, working with you.
Networking, it's all about networking. So I met you know Aria the bus
through you and that's networking. It'salso networking. Amadea. I think you
(01:33:27):
introduced me to Amadere way back intothat sixteen but I feel like we reconnected
through the group. Or she's beenfought. She was following me, Kenny
runaway if they came out her upturned out to day. We had so
many you know, wonderful freaking artists. Last year, Molly Soso with the
Southern Year he was he was turningit out because we brought kids on last
(01:33:49):
year, so we had kids atthe group. Mister Stout performed you know
what I'm saying, oh man,it was. It was a lot of
great talent novella like, oh mygosh. It's just so many artists have
brought on this year, you know. So definitely I'm looking forward to collapsing
with some of the moderators, youknow, and just making it a great
(01:34:12):
event. It's coming. If youain't up yet, right right good.
I do like the idea for thething for this, uh like doing it
at a roller skate ring because I'mactually going to get my practice. I'm
gonna stay that air on live onthe air. I'm gonna practice on my
little roller skating skills. But ifyou do it like a roller skating woman,
I think that I'd be able toturn up for a little. So
you're doing steam Beat Radios, Yes, I will be on the air eight
(01:34:35):
o'clock satur Day, uh, EastCoast time, eight o'clock steam Beast Radio
Music Review. You can search thaton spreaker dot com under mister Stout or
steam Beach Radio Music Review and it'llpop right up. I'm actually gonna have
it on my mister Stout page andalso on the Atlantic Music Industry Group page
(01:34:55):
as well. You guys are goodto see that and listen to it live
all around the world. Where areyou listening to your podcasts? I'm gonna
show up one there short and soremember that it's Atlanta Music muz Z,
l Z Groups, muz i seright astry dot com. When you joined
the group, please y'all answer thequestions and if you've all had if you
(01:35:19):
just joined Facebook yesterday, don't evenbothering you. AI, don't body here
where you know you're watching you.You just joined the face like nobody you
mean, you one years old.But it's been awesome just to see all
(01:35:45):
the members who have been around forso long, because I feel like I
started the Latin music Anstry group whenI was still living in Chicago, maybe
like two thousand and eleven, twelvenine, somewhere right in there, and
with me going back between Atlanta andChicago and stuff and just watching and grow
and it beat on the radio andjust you know, twenty just took it
(01:36:09):
to another level. And so justwatching the growth of the group and watching
the members grow, you know, and just all the different promoters and stuff
that come through with awesome events. All we ask is, look, make
sure you have them been the tablesfor us artists, you know, and
artists, make sure you get yourtangible itemts and put that money back in
(01:36:29):
your mind, you know what I'msaying. And then consumers and music lovers
support the independent movement, support theindependent artists when you go and see them
on the table out there, buysomething from him. You know you wasn't
gonna use that money nowhere, ButWendy's making DS somewhere like that anyway,
So why not investing the artists outthere doing his doing their thing and fighting
(01:36:50):
the pavement and trying to make aname for yourself. You know what I'm
saying. Help that woman, helpus man support that you know, you
