words wisely. Joining the show.Hey, hey, hey, hey,

(00:26):
hey, hey hey guys, man, welcome back to another episode of A
Pens of Consequences Off the books youryou guys already know. This is the
condensed sweetened version of the full show, you guys know. Within this show
we talk about some thought provoking, sometimes controversial, but always have great conversations.
In this It's a pedians of Consequencesoff the books. And guys,

(00:48):
guess why I got back in thebuilding. My co host Jamorrow bottom line
Burke, what's really blitter man?I just got back from Baltimore, Maryland.
Ended to see the c i Abasketball tournament, but it also has

(01:08):
non sports event okay man, highlyrecommend next year. Yeah, next year,
definitely a saint. They had theBlack Technology Forum that was awesome,
dope, dope. They had everyall the food was free to drink,
the free, the events was free. Listen when they say it's free.
It's for me. Okay then, but uh yeah, one of my good

(01:30):
friends, Aaron Dante, he hasa podcast, No Picks at the Dog.
He had a live podcast. Sothat was that was that was that
was dope. That was dope, man. So it just was. They
had events all weekend, and uh, it's something that more people need to
attend because it really is a goodtime. That's good. You know,
do we well we was in Baltimore. Do we get crab cakes? Hold

(01:53):
on? I know big because becauselisten, listen, listen. It's it's
kind of like a Mustang, likedid we do the club cakes or no,
you gotta do it. Okay, not to not to sound too boogie,
but had cavi yall and cream cheeseand hey, listen, ladies,
you know he got to bang. You know, listen caps that you don't

(02:16):
find that on your local You don'tfind that on your local self. Go
ahead, man, don get rightinto a big dog. Now. Well,
one of the things you know,I'm excited to hear your perspective on
is like, you know, there'sthis growing uh for me, like discredence

(02:37):
of the conspiracy to turn in theseparation of men and women in relationships.
Not a lot of people are applaudinglong term relationships. It doesn't seem there's
a lot of yeah, unity supportingyou know, long term relationships. So
many gripes on a woman's side,so many grapes on the male side.

(03:00):
Uh. And it's just the samerepetitive narrative, it seems like. And
uh, I just and you know, and you see it a little bit
in the music business with respects tolike aspiring a lot of people, and
they're moving away from humans and introducingthe AI and to other technology. And
I'm I'm curious to say to see, Uh do you think that that's going

(03:23):
on on a societal uh engineering thingwhere men and women just you know,
are not getting along like they usedto it? And is it it is
segueing to robots or AI or justsomething just seems like something's in the air
with it. I do think Ithink there's an agenda. I think there's

(03:45):
an agenda. And it all startedwith the whole you know, you know
him, they us, you knowwhat I mean with that whole thing.
I feel like they are trying tocreate that divide within humans alone. Like
I don't think it's I don't thinkit's you know, obviously it's male female,
but I think I think the genderis more so with humans, just

(04:11):
with the whole lgb Q community transwith you know, people being identified as
different things. This is starting tobecome a major concern because it's it's now
battle. Is it like a warbetween I think you're weird, No,
I think you're weird. No,I think you're weird type thing. So

(04:33):
I do understand where you're coming fromin that perspective. Whereas it's like,
yo, it seems like everything wantsto become more AI generator, Like,
Okay, I trust a robot becausea robot is like you know what I
mean, until that robot takes over, you know. Yeah, it's just
like this separatism, you know, saying and I just think that, Like

(04:54):
what's been subtly alarming to me isthere's so many brilliant, beautiful women,
you know, down here in Atlantathat's where I'm at, that have great
careers, you know, so muchfun to be around. They have so
much offer, But when it comesto like, you know, whether they

(05:16):
want to have here, it's optional. And it's just never been like that
where I've seen so many women there'sa healthy demographic of them that it's kind
of like if I have kids,I have kids. It's not it's not
you know, and you know, the economy is one thing, but also
the ones that you know have great, great professions that maybe are the bread

(05:36):
winners. They are adamant about, you know, finding a man that can
sustain the life that they established priorto that man entering in life. And
if the man can't sustain it orelevate it, then they don't want no
part of it, you know whatI'm saying. So there's just so much
uh surrounding that. And it's relatedyto that. Right, if you're a

(05:59):
woman, didn't you establish yourself acertain livelihood, you will want somebody to
try to sustain it or elevate it. But it's just so so many women
would prospect the kids. It's nolonger you know, higher PERCENTAGM like wanting
kids. It has to get theright situation. It's all circumstantial. No,

(06:23):
I totally understand where you're coming from, Like you know what I mean.
I know, I know it's probablyhard to grasp, but like understandingly
what you're saying is that, youknow what I mean, Like a lot
of times, like we're on twodifferent wavelengths right now, you know what
I mean. I understand that youknow a lot of you know, and

(06:44):
I'm not saying every female ladies.I'm saying most females they don't want to
reproduce, like you know what Imean. They don't want they don't want
a little one or or or alot of them, A lot of them
that have kids already are not tryingto do it themselves. Now all I
know, everything situational and you know, some may be health wise, some
may be Listen, I had todo this alone by myself. I'm not

(07:05):
trying to do that again, youknow what I mean, And I can't
and that's and that's fair, andthat's fair, you know what I mean.
That's huge. But at the sametime too, I can understand where
you're coming from in terms of thedivide where you know, a lot more
of the female population, as youknow, they're coming up with the whole.
Like you know, I'm independent,I'm strong, I could I got

(07:27):
my own money, I got thisand this and that. Good sister,
I'm glad you could do that.Could you reach that on the top shelf
though? Okay, move so youknow what I mean, there's a lot
of different things that we need towork with. And I'm not saying this.
I know there's tall females out there, okay, because I see you
in the back, like, youknow what I mean. So it's it's
one of those things where I dounderstand where you're coming from when it comes
down to that whole separation component.Yeah, that's all. That's all I'm

(07:54):
saying. I just I just wesee so many high quality, beautiful,
brilliant woman and and I think it'strauma tram trauma. Yeah, yeah,
absolutely, absolutely too. So Ithink too, just I think it's educational.
You know, with this the growingyou know, with the social media,
there's so much more education that peoplehave access to have been exposed to

(08:18):
that. You know that there's thisone adult children learning from emotionally immature parents.
That's a that's a book I highlyrecommend. But there's so many people
talking about their childhood and how itcurrently affects them and and just being conscious
of that. I think that that'salso contributing to the hesitancy of just,

(08:43):
you know, unconsciously going forward intogetting married having kids just because that's what
your mother, grand grandmother Auntie did, so I like, it's something,
yeah, something I want to bringup with. You know what, since
we're talking about separation, like wegot to stay to the Union twenty twenty
four, you know what I mean, we got Trump versus Biden, you

(09:03):
know, pretty much the young ladyshe she bowed out, and you know,
talking about the whole separation thing. Now this is another separation. This
is another divide within the states, within the United States, And at this
point in time, it's it's kindof like, you know what I mean,
We're we're in between a rock anda hard place right now. It's

(09:24):
you know what I mean, there'sthere's so much turmoil within the world and
all that extra stuff where you know, on one side, you know you
have you know, if you havePresident Biden and on the other side you
have ex President Trump where it's kindof like one of those things where at
this point in time, I ain'tgonna lie to you. I think I'd
rather have AI in a bitch like, you know what i mean, I'm

(09:45):
not keep it in a like. It's it's kind of like it's hard.
It's hard to sit there and supportsomething that you know and once once again
like, we're not not trying tobe political here as like you know,
you guys have your own take oneverything. But it's hard to support the

(10:05):
divide. And that's one thing thatI don't want to support. I don't
want to support the divide. Iwant to support the unity. And people
may sound like MLK right now, people like I have a dream, But
at the same time, it's oneof those things where I feel like,
no matter however we slice this cake, if you support on this side,
you're on that divide. If Isupport on this side, I'm on that

(10:28):
divide. No matter however we slicethis cake. And I don't know,
I don't know what your take onit is or what you have in terms
of what you expect or what youthink about this new or potential president that
we have. Yeah, I thinkregardless to candidate, regardless to what all

(10:52):
you on, you know, eachcandidate, you got to do your due
diligence on a strength and we allissue with beings got is of improvement.
So I think that's that's always beena case, and I don't think that's
gonna change at all. What Ithink hopefully what changes is not not so

(11:13):
much division. I think you're alwaysgoing to have it is always going to
begin and yang, especially when youtalk about politics. That's just the nature
of the beasts. But you're right, it is a difficult decision as far
as who is the best candidate tomove the United States forward in the right

(11:33):
direction, because you know, we'vebeen taking a beat in the last few
years, and I just think thatwe need somebody that can, uh you
know, right the ship and justmake us advanced more in certain certain areas.
And uh again, I just thinkthat doing your research, doing your

(11:58):
due diligence on each candidate, andthen making the best decisions you think for
for for the greater good of thecountry, country, and also your Selfian
family in low Key, Man,I feel like Jamm's been wrong. I
feel like you got did you bigday? Go ahead with your sports updates,

(12:22):
big dog. Yeah, man,I just wanted to talk a little
bit about well, you know what'sdominating the headlines now is Mike Tyson and
Jig Fall Dave agreed to fight onNetflix on July twentieth, and uh,
you know, unless this is aboutentertainment, there's no way on ain't no

(12:46):
way, ain't no way. Asthey say down here, that Uh you
know, Mike Tyson and Jig Fallsshould be in a ring together, because
I'm gonna need to see blood toconvince myself this is a real thing.
If Mike Tyson and Jake Paul wasit was ran into each other in public,
ain't no way. Yeah, Jakegot a chance. He won't even

(13:11):
have something like you're saying. SoI think that kudos to Jake on his
brilliant marketing in the boxing space andhas done a phenomenal job of grown as
following and look at look at theone of the rewards you up against Mike
Tyson before. I'm sure you andI probably with our friends will be like,

(13:31):
how much would it takes for toget it to get it ring with
Mike Tyson? This brother has actuallymanifested that. And again, unless I
see blood, then I think it'sjust for entertainment purpose. And if it's
for entertainment purposes, then uh,you know they're going to just put on
a show. But yeah, Idon't. I'm not taking it seriously,

(13:52):
like you know what I mean,My money's on Tyson, I heard,
but yeah, you know what Imean. But phenomenal. By the way,
at fifty seven, you look phenomenal. From the video footage that's been
surfacing over the last couple of weeks. He's in great shape, he looks
quick, he looks fast, andthe brothers still look like he's had hard
Yeah, I hold you, Ihold you. What else we got?

(14:16):
Yeah? Man? And uh youknow Nick Saban, former UH head coach
of University of Alabama, one ofthe powerhouses in the collegiate sports football space
for the last you know, tenyears, abruptly decided at the close the
last season to step step down. And he's he's admitted recently it was largely

(14:37):
because of the nil new rules thatallow athletes current athletes in college to profit
off of the name, image andlikeness. He doesn't like it at all.
He was really vocal about that.I think that it's something new.
It's a changing of the guards. You know Nick davis old school, where

(15:00):
he had all the power and hecan kind of dictate UH play as futures
and everything was kind of funneled backto him. But now you have real,
real free enterprise a little bit onthat on that level, and and
did empowers the players and they didnot not always beholden to the university and

(15:20):
colleges and coaches that may not alwayshave their best interest at her and and
and in closing with it. Forall these decades, from the beginning of
the time, coaches always had thesebeautiful salaries largely disproportionate to the players that
who weren't really compensated other than ascholarships and the sniper are there. But

(15:41):
now that they have access to six, seven, eight figure uh, you
know, financial checks, Now everybodygot a problem with it. Like beyond
spins films said, it must bethe money. It's no question in the
money, because even a coach recentlysaid he's gonna penaliz players financially for the

(16:03):
amount of turno who they have inthe game. So you know, all
roads leading back to the money. But I'm not surprised, but it is
refreshing to hear him be that thathonest and forfright and just say, hey,
it's because of the nil. Yeah, I ain't gonna lie. He's
better. He's better, you know, just like you said, man,
he lost the power. He can'tdeal with it like he he he'll be

(16:25):
upset that he will not be backin the playoffs in a bowl game.
No one, no one really caresabout money, talk bullshit walks pretty much
like you know what I mean.Like, now that's what it is.
Now, I'm trying to feed myfamily. I'm trying to do this.
I'm trying to do what's right formy future. Like I'm not trying to
go over here and win a BCSfor you be like, you know what
I mean. So, and it'snot gonna reassure that I'm gonna make the

(16:47):
league and be great like everybody else. You feel me, yep, yeah,
I think I think like you said, it's real quick, you know,
I think I think it is amoney situation. I just think that
the more comfortable when they're the onesfinancially benefiting and professing profiting from it,
and the kids are not. Andso now that there's a bit of a

(17:11):
balance, at least kids are actuallybeing able to be financially stable in college,
which allows them to make different decisions. When before you was in a
death spread you ain't got no otherchoice, situation. I think that's what's
comeing to surface, and it's beinteresting to see what happens as times go
on. Big facts, big facts. Somebody else that's also bitter, Uh,

(17:37):
your boy did he take that.Take that. Listen, man,
I ain't gonna hold you right now. Listen. This is bad. This
is bad on a whole scale,Like you know what I mean, all
the stuff that's been going on,all the alleged accusations are Diddy like three
twenty twenty four has been the worstfor did he man, And I don't
know, I don't know if Idon't feel bad for him, I just

(18:06):
feel bad for hip hop culture onhow much impact that it will have on
impact, like on the culture ofmusic. You know what I mean?
You have so many different influencers,Like you know, so many people that
he's touched. Guys, stop stop, don't do that because you know,
I'm not talking about physically, butlike, but so many people that he

(18:29):
has touched where you know, youhave Justin Bieber, you have Usher,
you have Meek Mill, that's crazy. You have all these other people that's
unnamed, you know, Cassie, all the other people. But like,
so, my whole thing is justlike this. My question to you is
how much of hip hop culture orthe music culture in general has or will

(18:52):
be impacted by this ditty. Ithink all of it will be in factor
because he has such a large shadowon hip hop because of his contribution over
these last few decades, and thennow that the pendulum swung the other way,

(19:14):
in the most disturbing along and notwarm and fuzzy way, the million
dollar question is how does he resurface? Now? I know he did manage
to show his faith that his twindaughters basketball game last night or the night
before, so that was the firsttime seeing any footage of them. But

(19:40):
at whatever date in the future,in time he died, he decides to
you know, resurface officially as faras a brand, as far as Fuffy
tell his story or do a product, I just have absolutely no idea what
would be the appropriate avenue if youwould. But that's something that that that

(20:03):
I'm watching closely to see how what'sthe first public of parents or what's the
first re uh. You know,I keep saying resurface. You know that
he's gonna do because this thing it'snot good. It's not good. Yeah,
No, it's not good at all. It's not good at all,
you know what I mean? Andto the point where it's it's frustrating because

(20:26):
you know the stuff, the youknow, I don't want to take see
And now guys. Here, here'shere's a problem. Here's a problem,
is because you try to separate themonster from from his greatness, you know
what I mean. I'm not goingto negate the stuff that he has done

(20:47):
in music and how he has influencedthe culture and all of that extra stuff.
But you can't turn a blind eyeto all of the stuff that he
has done. Like, you know, he even has some dude like you
know, I I don't know ifyou heard, like some dude some guy
named Mohammad. He was this cleanup guy, so you know, if
something went down and all that extrastuff, he would just call Mohammad.

(21:07):
And Mohammad was supposedly the bodyguard tothe late great MJ. Michael Jackson.
Oh wow, fresh out of collegethough, yeah, stay tuned for that.
Fresh out of college a guy justgraduated college the same year or the

(21:30):
year before he graduated. You no, the year before Michael Jackson died.
He was appointed his bodyguard and hemajored in business in real estate question mark.
Yeah, that's crazy. Well,we'll stay there for another episode.
But when it comes down to Diddy, like you know what I mean,

(21:55):
he has so much influence on alot of people, you know now now
you know, everything's in question Diddylike a biggie Biggie's murder, like a
lot of Tupac, Like a lotof these stuff is in question now because
it's like everything his world is collapsing, and I really don't know what he's
going to do, Like I don'tknow if he's gonna fall back, like

(22:15):
they're calling him the Jeffrey Epstein ofthe hip hop. Wow, that's crazy.
Yeah, that's that's the first Iheard of that. That is like
you gotta think about it, youknow what I mean, Like it's the
dolts are aligning. You can feelme, and I know I know Joe

(22:36):
Butten jokingly said one thing he knowsfor sure is huff he's a super freaks,
a super free free. I meanit was tongue and jokes. We
don't have enough money for royalties topay for that, so yeah, yeah,
right, the situation. But itwas funny. Uh no way he

(23:00):
inserted that. But now it's justserious stuff. They don't get no more
serious than it doesn't it doesn't,you know what I mean. And and
any victims to to any of thisstuff, you know what I mean,
like condolences and all that extra stuffto you guys, because you know it's
something that no one wants to everbe in or wants to be a part
of. Really quick with the rapidfire people. Russell Wilson, free agent.

(23:25):
Where does he land? The mall? Come on, talk to me
night, so don't talk to meat all. I got three places,
Okay, you got the Patriot,Okay, I love it. I love
it. You guys, the Falcons, Damn. I wish I had a
boo button ahead you got actually forPittsburgh and the Raiders that those would be

(23:47):
four places. Okay, Okay,I like it. I like it.
I like it. I'm not gonnago into depth on that people, guys.
If you guys would like to hearmore about it. Tag us dim
us, let us know. AntonioBrown's back at it again. Beat dog.
Yeah man, he sets his sighton Taylor's swift. He's no longer

(24:11):
into this old Gazel thing. Heposted it. He posted an AI generated
pick up himself in a Steelers jerseymaking out with the pop star on Friday.
What do you think about that?Big Dog? Hey man? Something's
shame. Some things remain the same, they say, they say, famous

(24:33):
addictive drugs doctor Price to Antonio Brown, I mean, you got actual stuff.
How long can you sustain this?Right? And and what's the end
goal? What's the purpose? Uh? I just don't like it. It's
so erratic. You know, he'sa very smart man. When when I

(24:56):
sat down, well when I watchedhis sit down into she could tell that
there's a brain up there that's makinggood decisions. But there's antics like this.
There's you know, all type ofoutings and erratic behavior that he shows
that it's concerning on some levels. And I just I just hope that uh,

(25:18):
you know, ends world. Youknow what I mean? Yo,
listen, Yo, you and Iboth man great talents to God, great
town to guy. So wait whatsize you like? Eleven twelve, eleven
and a half twelve? So youcopping the new Trump sneakers? That's what
I heard. Yo, got yousent me to receipt And I was like,

(25:41):
yo, I thought you so no, No, he said, no,
no, the sure that is no. I know. There was a
lot of controversy because Frat Joe said, I'm gonna seek, I'm a sneak
ahead, I gotta hand I gota cop on so Joe, Frat Joe
copp the cop the pair. Heyman, I think it's it's part of

(26:02):
the marketing plan, right to attractmore uh black, black and brown voters.
It goes to show you what theythink of us culturally if they think
a shoe will translate into more votes. And so again it's just about you
know, Trump is Trump is afunny guy. Trump Trump He's a you

(26:23):
know, one of the best marketers. You know that, and then during
our lifetime, you know, howeveryou feel about them politically, he definitely
knows how to get people's attention. And and he's done it again with the
sneaker as far as uh his campaignstrategy, as far as marketing to the
African American and black and brown communities, and uh he look at FA Joe

(26:48):
is gonna be a supporter and purchasepurchase the item. But are you going
to join fat Joe and purchasing?Okay, all right, cool? When
you get them, man, wegotta take a pick on the show.
Then big facts, big facts.Listen, what was a wisdom positivity negativity

(27:10):
you got to bring to the table? Bedore you already know positive? Man,
an't positive? Well is one thatuh that I wrote down the other
day is Uh, people will rewritehistory just to escape their own accountability that

(27:32):
they did. So we'll talk whenwe'll talk one one more talk people.
People will rewrite history just to escapeaccountability, uh for what they did.
So that that that that was avery poigant relevant quote that I think relates

(27:52):
today. That's your listen, man, that's the that's the I ain't gonna
hold you, thank you. That'sdeep. I like that. I like
that well a little well real beforeyou go on a deep part. You
know, you gotta why. Ilearned that I had to stop looking so

(28:15):
deeply into people, uh, whenI realized that they don't even go that
far into themselves. But listen, man, a really quick guys. Man.
I don't know if you guys know, but you know I do digital
art and I've been doing it forquite some time now. But it's amazing.
Man. A lot of people theydon't know how long this ship took.

(28:40):
And that's why they critique on howthe ship looks amazing, don't it.
Don't marry your failures and frustrations outon me. You hurt more of

(29:02):
the story. People. They've beencurving you all winter, and now now
they're trying to be nice to you. Double your price, double your price,
