Speaker 1 (00:00):
Welcome everybody to the Paparazzi Podcast.
Speaker 2 (00:02):
I am Jedi, he is Mark, and we have a
special guest with us today.
Speaker 1 (00:07):
Sitting next to me right now is the one and
only Nate.
Speaker 3 (00:14):
I knew it. I knew it.
Speaker 1 (00:17):
We've got a PPC three way going right now.
Speaker 4 (00:19):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (00:20):
Nate and I are currently on a secret mission that
we cannot talk about, but it will be divulged on
the next Paparazzi Podcast.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
Let's good. We always like a cliffhanger.
Speaker 1 (00:34):
Yeah, we're starting with the cliffhanger this time.
Speaker 3 (00:38):
How's it going, Nate?
Speaker 5 (00:40):
It's good man, how are you.
Speaker 6 (00:41):
I'm doing good to you, like another week ago.
Speaker 1 (00:44):
And yeah, dude, that.
Speaker 5 (00:47):
That picture you tick man? That should be an album cover.
It was sad and beautiful at the same point.
Speaker 3 (00:53):
I'm still waiting for, you know, for Spidery to contact
me for their next for Heidie's next album cover, So
it's waiting for them if they if they need any inspiration.
I don't think that the picture lives up to her
style of music, but if she wanted to do some
sort of you know.
Speaker 5 (01:12):
It needs to be on like an E D M
or yeah, maybe you two actually, because they've got a
very U two cover.
Speaker 1 (01:21):
That's a YouTube cover. Yeah.
Speaker 3 (01:23):
I mean there's enough musicians that live up there that
would love to do it. But the problem is, Nate,
I got scooped. No, if you can believe it, I
got scooped on that fucking picture.
Speaker 5 (01:34):
Was it that one? Are you talking about the blue Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:37):
I'm talking about the blue one. Yeah, the blue BW bus.
Speaker 5 (01:41):
The only thing that's different, it says, I mean he's
got a major agency behind him. That's That's the only
reason that one got so big and huge is.
Speaker 1 (01:48):
Oh I didn't see it.
Speaker 5 (01:49):
Yeah, it was a it was an old bus and
it's gone crazy. And I believe it wasn't one of
the terror.
Speaker 3 (01:55):
Boys, Yeah, exactly, and it was. It was taken I
think from like a helicopter angle. I think like from
like the side you saw like the different tears going up,
and it was parked in the middle of the neighborhood.
Just an entirely different picture that I could not get.
So the red is so much better, you know, for
a burned out neighborhood. Blue just is kind of boring.
Speaker 2 (02:18):
Talking about legality and the fires, a couple of podcasts ago,
we touched on the drone that hit the Super Scooper.
It has now come out who it was that was
controlling the drone that hit the Super Scooper and it
was not what we predicted, which it absolutely shocked me.
Speaker 5 (02:41):
Shocked me too. I thought it was for sure going
to be somebody and it won.
Speaker 2 (02:45):
Yeah, I thought it was a path We mentioned an agency.
Apologies to Backgrid.
Speaker 3 (02:51):
I'm not apologizing.
Speaker 1 (02:52):
No, Okay, normally.
Speaker 2 (02:54):
It wasn't then it was. It was a gentleman. I
can't remember his name right now, but he's admitted. He's
admitted fault.
Speaker 5 (03:02):
Yeah, because he doesn't want to go to prison. He
doesn't want to go to prisoner the rest of his
natural life.
Speaker 2 (03:07):
What was the It was sixty thousand dollars in repairs
that he has to pay.
Speaker 5 (03:11):
That's cheap. I thought it was going to be a
lot more.
Speaker 3 (03:13):
But yes, I heard of sixty sixty five something like that.
Speaker 2 (03:16):
Yeah, and he has to pay the entirety of the
repair and one hundred and fifty hours of community service,
which I still think is a slap on the.
Speaker 1 (03:25):
Wrist me too. If it was, if it was a
p or.
Speaker 2 (03:28):
Determined to be a paparatice or a photographer that they
didn't like exactly that they didn't like. He'd be thrown
inside for the years and years straight to get more
and probably would have had a fine of you know,
hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Speaker 3 (03:44):
Well, if it was someone like we thought their, their
legality would probably be questioned, questionable, and you know, I'm
not sure anybody would really be able to get themselves
out of that, as you know, being stand up Americans.
So I think they would have had trouble if it
was who we thought it might have been. Well, you know,
(04:05):
let this be a lesson to everybody. Don't let that
drone get out of range where you lose control of it.
Speaker 6 (04:11):
Fucking idiots one point five miles.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
Yeah, yeah, so that's that's an idiot.
Speaker 5 (04:18):
To remain legal, you're supposed to be with an eyesight,
And all these websites were like, oh, he went beyond eyesight. Yeah,
you can't see one point five miles. A little fun,
a little robot.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
In the sky.
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Yeah, yeah, bummer for him, you know, but that's what
you get when you're dumb.
Speaker 1 (04:37):
We've got a lot to talk about.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
Yeah, since since the last podcast, I guess I should
go in with with what I've been up to.
Speaker 3 (04:44):
Well, you left us hanging when you were going to
be going to the inauguration, so oh truth.
Speaker 1 (04:49):
Yeah, I went to the inauguration week. Thank you. We
appreciate you your patronage.
Speaker 2 (04:57):
I know this is such a gutting story for me,
with the inauguration being moved inside.
Speaker 1 (05:04):
My press pass was removed. Had the inauguration stayed.
Speaker 2 (05:08):
Outside, I would have been in the vicinity and I
would would have got the picture.
Speaker 1 (05:13):
That I dreamed about, you know.
Speaker 2 (05:15):
The capital behind Trump being inaugurated, and you know, just
everything going on. In hindsight, I am glad it was
moved inside because it was freezing fucking cold. I was
still outside on the day of for eight hours and
I was a human ice cube.
Speaker 1 (05:34):
It was horrific.
Speaker 2 (05:35):
I had hats, gloves, ear muffs, thermal socks, long John's
full thermaled up and I was still frozen.
Speaker 1 (05:44):
Basically, my pictures from the day were.
Speaker 2 (05:46):
Just gvs and kind of the atmosphere, what was going on,
Trump fans and enthusiasts celebrating.
Speaker 1 (05:54):
I ended up actually watching.
Speaker 2 (05:56):
The inauguration in the hard Rock Cafe in DC, just
a couple of blocks from the Capitol.
Speaker 1 (06:03):
And it was like watching a soccer game. It was unbelievable.
The atmosphere in that it was palpable. It was nuts.
Speaker 2 (06:11):
It was insane. I've never experienced an atmosphere like it
watching anything other than sports on the TV.
Speaker 3 (06:18):
And the fans were rooting for the team is what
was going on, right.
Speaker 1 (06:22):
It was unbelievable. I was huffing and doing video of
everything that was going on inside because it was fun.
I've never seen anything like it.
Speaker 2 (06:32):
Joe Biden was bought on TV Boom, the Clinton's were
bought on TV Boo Hamas Boo Bush, Boo Trumps.
Speaker 1 (06:47):
The place was erupting. It was literally erupting, So it
was a packer bar exactly.
Speaker 2 (06:54):
It was just such a fun experience and there was
no trouble whatsoever.
Speaker 1 (06:59):
Everybody was just that. Everyone was in a jovial state.
Speaker 2 (07:03):
It was It was so much fun to actually work
and photograph. But yeah, I'm still absolutely gutted from the
letdown of not photographing Trump being sworn in and the inauguration, But.
Speaker 1 (07:19):
I was there.
Speaker 3 (07:21):
What do you think your best picture was of that experience?
Did you get anything that that's worth.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
We're talking about just the crowd, the crowd in the bar.
Speaker 2 (07:31):
It was just a sea of red hats, just just
maga everywhere, and it makes for quite you know, it's
quite a fun picture. I can't imagine four years ago
when Biden was sworn in there was a bar full
of people wearing Biden.
Speaker 1 (07:48):
Hats and cheering.
Speaker 2 (07:50):
As he's brought on the TV and booing as Trump
and the presidents before were shown on the screen.
Speaker 1 (07:58):
It was still a fun experience. It was freezing cold.
Speaker 2 (08:01):
Oh and you know what, I did actually get some
good action there as well the day of because after
the inauguration happened. Myself and the reporter I was with,
we found like a little honey hole of action. I
don't even know how we came across it, to be honest,
but we did. And within minutes of like finding this
little spot, we had Tucker Carlson walk out in front
(08:22):
of us. So we got we got some pictures, some
video of Tucker Carlson, and the Trump fans were going
nuts for Tucker selfies taken everywhere. Tucker was in great spirits,
smiling and laughing and having fun with everybody. And then
after Tucker, we got THEO Vonne, We got Logan and
Jake Paul and we got Connin McGregor as well. They
(08:44):
were all all on the same bus, all of those
so that was you know, it was great pictures, lots
of fun. Connor actually came off a bus with a
woman that was she was a January sicker. She was
arrested January sick and she was known as the praying Grandma.
She actually went to the Capitol just to pray, but
(09:07):
she was arrested and thrown inside. But obviously with Trump's pardonings,
she she was pardoned and she was allowed to go there.
She still had an ankle monitor on, but she ended
up on the same bus with Conor McGregor and walked
off hugging and.
Speaker 1 (09:23):
You know, just walking with McGregor. It was quite a
funny picture.
Speaker 3 (09:26):
That's a cool picture.
Speaker 1 (09:28):
A funny picture.
Speaker 2 (09:29):
But you know, like I say, I wasn't where I
wanted to be, but it worked out alright.
Speaker 1 (09:33):
I was there, you.
Speaker 3 (09:35):
Know after the inauguration, you know, I thought of something
new that I guess you guys would probably have more
chance of getting, which I wanted. You know, because when
he was doing his first signings, you know in the stadium,
you know, he had that little like pens. Yeah, the
trey of pens right there, those those presidential sharpies, and
(09:57):
I was like, that would be cool to have one
of those pens. And then like immediately after that, when
he was done, he went out and he started throwing
him out into the crowd. I'm like, nah, I want
one of those. And he has them all the time now.
They're always on his desk, they're always sitting around. So
your guys's mission or me, if I could ever get
near the guy, is to ask somebody for a fucking
pen I want.
Speaker 2 (10:17):
I mean, we both call pins even that's that's actually, uh,
that's a common fodder.
Speaker 5 (10:26):
They always whenever they signed something, they signed it with
one pen and then they're done.
Speaker 3 (10:31):
Well that night at night in the stadium, he was
he used a different pen for each of the books.
Speaker 5 (10:38):
That's not uncommon. Yeah, it's exactly what happens. Anytime anything
the president signs to like that, that's what happens. Yeah,
So that's the first time they're throwing those pens like
fucking money, girl.
Speaker 3 (10:53):
I know, that's it's pretty awesome. And you know those
things are going up on freaking eBay.
Speaker 5 (10:58):
They're already on sale, are already on the internet. People
are already been trying to sell them.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
I didn't actually know that that happened.
Speaker 5 (11:05):
Yeah, that's what happens.
Speaker 1 (11:07):
That's amazing.
Speaker 5 (11:08):
It's common fodder.
Speaker 1 (11:10):
I love that it always happens.
Speaker 3 (11:11):
Yeah, yeah, that's awesome.
Speaker 5 (11:13):
Like like we said when you had to leave for
a second. Yeah, they're always signing it one and done,
no ship, but to throw them out like a I.
Speaker 2 (11:21):
Mean, Trump signed like two hundred fucking executive orders.
Speaker 1 (11:24):
That nice. He went through two hundred pens. I'm sure
I'm just using the same pen.
Speaker 3 (11:28):
He was using the same pen when he was at
the desk, but when he was in the stadium he
used a different pen for each one, and then and
then there was a whole stack of him there next
to him, and then he just started grabbing those and
just throwing them out.
Speaker 5 (11:39):
There he was signing checks at the desk.
Speaker 3 (11:45):
Yeah, exactly. Well the mission, the mission now is to
get a pen. So you guys have got pins. I
want to see a pen.
Speaker 1 (11:51):
We got pins, We got patches, pins, patches, Now pens?
Speaker 2 (11:55):
All right, The next thing I wanted to talk about.
Speaker 1 (12:00):
It's kind of hurts me. It hurts my heart. It
hurts my heart.
Speaker 2 (12:04):
I was sent to Kansas City to cover the to
cover Travis Kelcey and Taylor Swift. It's still harse to
talk about the Buffalo Bills against Kansas City game in
Kansas City.
Speaker 4 (12:19):
I don't know how much or as you like to
refer to the Buffalo Bills against the refs.
Speaker 1 (12:25):
Against the refs.
Speaker 2 (12:25):
Yeah, I'm still I'm massively but I read today that
there is going to be basically in the next year
in the NFL they're going to regulate the first downs
via radar computer or something because.
Speaker 1 (12:41):
Yeah, well yeah, because the refs.
Speaker 2 (12:43):
Are all fucking blind and they fucked the Bills out
of a Super Bowl. No hard feelings, but again I
was there for this as well. I was fortunate enough.
Speaker 1 (12:52):
To be there and see the bullshit that.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
Is the the Patrick Mahomes and the ref for his
love affair, and the Bills get shorted of a visit
to the Super Bowl.
Speaker 1 (13:06):
But we ended up getting some action.
Speaker 2 (13:09):
We managed to track down the Chief's celebration party because
it's a fix, The NFL is a fix, and their
party place was already booked, and we found it and
we got pictures and video of Taylor Swift and Travis
Kelcey's cars and Mahomes's car going into a very private
(13:30):
and very secure armed guard security lot and a place
called Prime Social in Kansas City where where they celebrated
their fraudulent victory against the Buffalo Bills. And it was
just car shots of Mahomes and Kelsey's car. But we
(13:51):
did get Travis Kelsey's dad on the street walking into
the bar to confirm that, you know, that was the
cars that we thought were going in there.
Speaker 3 (14:03):
Okay, So it was a.
Speaker 2 (14:05):
Long ardule, another fucking frost bitten cold day worked by me,
But it was worth it for the story that we
got in the end. And I did also get Taylor
Swift covered in umbrellas leaving Kansas City a couple of
days later, because that's how she rolls in and out
of Kansas City and every other airport in the US.
Speaker 5 (14:28):
She doesn't want to.
Speaker 1 (14:29):
Yeah, it's just it's kind of ridiculous. Like I followed,
that's not even as worse as they did it to me. No,
it's bad.
Speaker 2 (14:36):
Like I followed a couple of cars from Travis's to
the airport in Kansas City where.
Speaker 1 (14:43):
They unloaded suitcase.
Speaker 2 (14:45):
You got umbrellas up on suitcase, up on suitcase, you
got umbrellas.
Speaker 1 (14:50):
Umbrellas, all right?
Speaker 5 (14:51):
Well, they took her entire plane inside of a hangar and.
Speaker 3 (14:56):
Put it under an umbrella.
Speaker 5 (14:58):
No, no, they took the ent her plane inside of
a hangar, closed said hanger, got her off, opened said hanger,
and they drove out like a.
Speaker 3 (15:11):
Champ's what they did at Lax two?
Speaker 4 (15:13):
What was that?
Speaker 5 (15:16):
I don't remember?
Speaker 1 (15:16):
Okay, well, this airport is Kansastad.
Speaker 2 (15:19):
So they unloaded all of her suitcase, her luggage, rugs, boxes, dresses,
all of that shit, and then they pulled the aircraft
inside a hanger and she showed up an hour later
where they pulled the car in the hanger. She got out,
and they still used umbrellas even though she's inside a
fucking hanger. And then they pulled the aircraft out and
(15:42):
it fucked off to La where they probably did it where.
Speaker 1 (15:45):
She arrived with umbrellas in a hanger again.
Speaker 3 (15:49):
So my question is when is and and they're gonna
do this? I swear after I say this, because I
know that they're always listening. When is Balenciaga gonna make
an outfit that's just all umbrellas around you?
Speaker 1 (16:01):
It's a matter of time right.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
I mean that's all, that's all like a button maybe
that they just pop out or they just it's just
a it's just an outfit.
Speaker 2 (16:12):
But they don't because when they pulled the aircraft inside
the hanger, I was half a mile away at this point,
shooting across the airfield. So even with the umbrellas, I'm
not going to get anything. But they still pull it
inside a fucking hanger, a.
Speaker 5 (16:29):
Hanger where it's not a photographer within a fucking thousand miles. Yeah, yep,
they run that game.
Speaker 1 (16:36):
It's so ridiculous. I guess yeah, it's just it's just ridiculous.
Speaker 4 (16:40):
I mean the president, the president just gets out in
the open exactly.
Speaker 5 (16:44):
I've done presidence and vice presidents for I've I've successfully
gotten the last like four presidents.
Speaker 3 (16:52):
And you know Taylor, No, no, there's a MeMail right
now to showing Taylor Swift's twenty twenty twenty three flighty tracking. Yeah,
she loves she loves the man. I didn't know she
had two jets.
Speaker 1 (17:07):
Yeah oh yeah, yeah, she used to have three.
Speaker 3 (17:09):
Yeah wow.
Speaker 2 (17:10):
So from Kansas City, I flew into DCA, Washington, d C.
And so I was supposed to be flying home to
Buffalo for some much need addressed as I and this
is you know what, this happened on my birthday.
Speaker 1 (17:26):
So I flew from.
Speaker 2 (17:27):
Kansas City to DCA on my birthday, celebrating my birthday.
I'm sat in the lounge at DCA, feet up and
I ordered a whiskey to you know, ring in the birthday.
Nice and comfortable, just getting ready to go home, landing
just before midnight to celebrate my birthday with my wife
on my birthday. You know, it's an hour before my
(17:49):
flight and we hear this birthday on my birthday. Can't
forget it's my birthday. And we're just looking out onto
the airfield and we hear sirens, just sirens, sirens upon sirens,
up on sirens, and we count one, two, three, four, five, six, seven, eight,
We lose count, and it's emergency vehicle after emergency vehicle
(18:12):
after emergency vehicle enter the airfield literally right in front
of us. We're watching them go on. Something nuts is happening,
and I look at my reporter, what the fuck something's
going on?
Speaker 1 (18:23):
We carry on drinking, and then.
Speaker 3 (18:25):
What are all the people around you doing? At this point?
Are everyone seeing anything? Are you just.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
Everybody's looking, we're watching because we're all just like, we
don't know what's going on. And then less than a
minute later, it's more. We just hear more sirens. It's
a c of vehicles entering the the airfield. And I
get straight on Twitter and I just put DCA, you know,
the airport code for Washington, Reagan, and five minutes prior
(18:55):
was when the black Hawk helicopter collided with five three
four to two the American Airlines flight coming in from
which to Kansas, which is it's almost the same, exactly
the same route as I was on an hour prior.
Speaker 1 (19:10):
Mate, Just goosebumps, Just goose bumps. I was. I was shook.
I'm still kind of shaken.
Speaker 3 (19:17):
How many terimes have you flown in I've flown.
Speaker 1 (19:20):
I've flown into d C a last year.
Speaker 2 (19:24):
I think I flew in and out of DCA. I'd
say at least thirty times.
Speaker 5 (19:30):
I'm probably about fifty times.
Speaker 2 (19:31):
Yeah, And I've said it before on the podcast, probably
a couple of years back. It's my favorite flight in
and out of a country.
Speaker 5 (19:39):
It's my favorite city in the world. I love.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
And we posted it. We actually posted a reel on Instagram.
In the last eighteen months of my flight in it's
the fate. It's my favorite flight in and out of
anywhere that I've ever taken.
Speaker 3 (19:54):
And why is that?
Speaker 1 (19:55):
Mate?
Speaker 2 (19:56):
It's so picturesque, Like the video that I did we
did post was flying in as the sun's going down.
You've got the Capitol, You've got the Washington Monument, you
can see the White House. Just it's it's so picturesque.
It's so beautiful, just the lights, the sky, the buildings.
Speaker 5 (20:18):
It was just the worst for me because I knew
both my people that had just like gone there and
I'm in Texas working and I knew that both my
people had gone there. I'm like, once I've seen that happen.
I called JETDI right away. I'm like, please pick up, please,
please fucking pick up.
Speaker 3 (20:37):
Yeah, because you didn't know what flight he.
Speaker 7 (20:39):
Was, I just knew he was Guild.
Speaker 5 (20:43):
We talk and it was like, oh you picked up.
It was like, do you have my our friend that's
with you, And he's like, yes, she's on the same plane.
Speaker 1 (20:52):
It was just like, oh yeah. It was nuts, Like
it was fucking bad.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
I feel like myself and the reporter were the first
people in the lounge that knew what had happened.
Speaker 3 (21:04):
To realize what happened. Yeah, I realized what.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
Happened, and gravity humongous and like we spoke to the
guy next to us and he was like, oh fuck,
and then like word gently got round to everybody within
the lounge what had happened, and like the airport was
completely grounded, no flights in, no flights out, and like
I'm getting goosebumps now thinking about it.
Speaker 1 (21:26):
It was, it was, it was fucking terrifying.
Speaker 2 (21:29):
Like I was shaken. I was shook. I didn't sleep
much that night. I had to email sorry, I had
to send WhatsApps to both my parents because they knew
I was flying from the from Kansas, not that it's
the same airport, but still from Kansas to to DCA
connecting and I want I knew that they were going
(21:50):
to wake up, turn the news on, and it was
going to be the biggest story. It was the biggest
story in not just the country, in the world for
that short short time and that's all they were going
to see in the morning. So I had to get
that message to them to make sure they they knew
that I was. I was okay, and you know, I flew.
I flew ninety I took ninety three flights last year.
(22:12):
I'm already I'm at fifteen already in the first month
of this year. I fly so much it's it's tough
not to think about it now. And I've taken one
flight since then, and I know that that that accident,
that tragedy happened with fifteen twenty seconds left to go
in the flight, And as I was touching down where
(22:32):
Nate and I are right now, I was looking out
of the window and thinking, fuck, like this is the
same height that that happened at.
Speaker 1 (22:39):
This is where this happened.
Speaker 4 (22:40):
That's when you feel the safest pretty much.
Speaker 3 (22:42):
It's like right when you're about the land, I've made it,
you know, exactly, Like.
Speaker 2 (22:47):
I always turned my phone some exactly, I turned my
phone on way before, like the flight was at that
distance and the accident happened.
Speaker 4 (22:55):
To say landing, When did you actually see the first footage?
Speaker 3 (22:59):
Because I know you you heard what was going on,
you saw it on the on Twitter, But like, how
long was it before you actually saw the footage?
Speaker 1 (23:07):
Ten minutes after that? Really ten twelve to fifteen minutes
after it happened.
Speaker 3 (23:11):
I saw footage on your phone.
Speaker 1 (23:13):
Yeah, yeah, I might. This literally happened there, like at
the end of the wrong way.
Speaker 2 (23:18):
I'm at one end of the airport, the lounges at
one under of the airport.
Speaker 1 (23:21):
It happened at the other. But it's fucking right there.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
I was there, Like it's it's it's like, I'm it's
still frightening to me, Like I'm still yeah, shaken massively.
Speaker 3 (23:34):
Yeah, I mean I don't. I don't even fly nearly
as much as you guys do. And you know, when
I when I see, especially that second footage that came out,
when you actually see the plane go down in like
a tailspin and the wing knocked off of it, it's
just it's just crazy.
Speaker 4 (23:46):
It looks like a movie. It looks like it looks
a fake.
Speaker 3 (23:49):
You know.
Speaker 2 (23:49):
It happened at what three hundred and fifty feet thirty five,
like thirty five stories high, It basically happened, and then
drone heighth Yeah, shopper was in one piece, but the
plane split into three, and oh my goodness, my heart
absolutely got down to the families. It's just devastating as well,
(24:10):
and the fact that there were so many children on board.
Speaker 7 (24:15):
Oh you know, what as well, this is nuts. The
flight attendant I'd flown, I've had him, I'd flown with Ian,
the flight attendant that the pastory on the plane.
Speaker 2 (24:28):
I'd flown with him twice before. And the guys, the
guys like exceptional. Because I fly so much, we get
little vouchers that we can give to flight attendants and
they get they get points, money, raffles and all that
kind of stuff with these tokens. And I've only ever
given out too, and one of them was to him.
Speaker 1 (24:49):
He's brilliant. He gave me like a ton of whiskey.
Speaker 2 (24:55):
Yeah, and he was just so much fun, Like he
loved his job so much, absolutely love it.
Speaker 1 (25:01):
Just absolutely fucking kills me.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
Except I've flown ninety five times last year, and god
knows how many times the year before then exactly. And
to know to remember one flight attendant, you remember them
for a reason, all of them, and and this guy
was he was one of a kind and absolute champion completely,
So I was absolutely devastating.
Speaker 5 (25:23):
When would recognize them.
Speaker 2 (25:27):
Yeah, when I when I saw that, I actually reached
out to an American Airlines friend of mine that's a
flight attendant as well as like yeah, like you know,
I'm so sorry for you and the AA family. And
I've met and known Ian and like, yeah, it just
it brings things home, like how grateful I am for
(25:51):
you know, being able to do the work I do
and travel so much and be safe. I read today
that they're going to be pulling out the air craft
tomorrow morning and they've still not accounted for every passenger
that was on board.
Speaker 3 (26:07):
Because that that river's it's only they said to someone
what like eight feet deep or something like that's not
even that deep, ye.
Speaker 2 (26:12):
And I've read that earlier on today as well, that
the water is so clear there that with flashlights, the
divers and that the crew that were sent in to
try and save or salvage the mission could just see
just horrors basically really wow. Yeah, sorry guys, we went
we went deep for a second.
Speaker 1 (26:33):
We don't. We don't usually do that on.
Speaker 3 (26:34):
The well, I mean, this hits you guys. You guys
are the are the prime people that are affected by
something like this, So having not only a first hand
account because you were there, but also the account of
you guys, you know, explaining to people because of how
much you fly, I mean honestly, when you fly you're
(26:56):
obviously narrowing your chances down if something bad happening, you know.
Speaker 2 (27:00):
But but in all actuality, it is more dangerous to
drive to the airport than it is to get on
a plane.
Speaker 3 (27:07):
Well, you know what, my my my Instagram feed, because
you know, obviously you start looking at these things and
you get on an algorithm. My Instagram feed says different
because now I see like all these AI crashes that
people are doing. You know, I literally saw like four
memes today of just an AI version of the crash.
(27:27):
Can we stop? Not every plane is crashing right now? Okay,
I promise naked.
Speaker 5 (27:34):
Going on brother, not a lot, not a whole lot.
I can talk about.
Speaker 1 (27:40):
About the mission.
Speaker 3 (27:40):
Well, Jedi, Jedi has been talking about where he was,
but now we want to know where you were.
Speaker 5 (27:46):
Oh, where I was. It's actually kind of easy. Uh.
New Year's Eve, we went over. Me and my wife
were hanging out at a friend's house, as as normally
you would do normal people. Do you go hang out,
You can go have some drinks, you have some fun.
You don't drive because that's not cool.
Speaker 7 (28:05):
No.
Speaker 5 (28:06):
So I woke up on New Year's Day with fifteen
missed phone calls and fifty missed text messages.
Speaker 4 (28:17):
That's never done.
Speaker 5 (28:19):
And I was like, oh man, I'm popular. I thought
my friends were like, I got friends all over the world.
I've been doing this, you know us, we know people everywhere.
People are gonna message you love you, yeah, yeah yeah.
And then I start seeing these messages. I'm like, oh, oh, oh.
Speaker 3 (28:39):
Boy, so new or bad messages.
Speaker 5 (28:43):
Yeah, well New Orleans had been hit and New Orleans
have been hit bad.
Speaker 4 (28:47):
Oh shit.
Speaker 5 (28:49):
And I was at that time less than a quarter
mile from frenchmen uh Bourbon actually, and me and my
friends that night were like, oh, let's go, let's go,
let's go see some shit because we're watching the balls
drop around the world and they're like, let's go down.
(29:10):
And then we just never made it down because we
had a good time. But all these calls were not good.
They're like, oh my god, you okay, oh my god,
you say, oh my god, we miss you.
Speaker 4 (29:23):
I'm like, and you're not getting back to anybody because
you're waking up late and everybody's I'm just waking up dead.
Speaker 5 (29:29):
What is the matter? What was wrong with you people?
And then I started seeing the news, I'm like, oh.
Speaker 4 (29:36):
Shit, did you know anybody down there when it happened.
Speaker 5 (29:40):
I actually do know quite a bit people that were
out and they had I mean, you work in the news,
we work in the business. I had photos. I had
videos already sent me of that horrible person dead on
the ground before the news of the world had it.
(30:01):
They sent to me because they sent it to trusted people.
And I'm like, I don't know what I can do
with this right now, and let's just put it under
the ground. Just because the FBI was already involved, NSA
ATM all alphabet agencies were evolved at that point. Yeah,
(30:22):
and I was really worried, and I was just like,
let them take course.
Speaker 4 (30:27):
Yeah for sure.
Speaker 3 (30:29):
So did you did you get out of there and
let them do their investigation or you got you got pictures?
You went down there and got pictures?
Speaker 4 (30:35):
Right?
Speaker 7 (30:36):
Oh?
Speaker 5 (30:36):
Man. I went down I went to the lunch quarter,
I went down Canal. I got all those pictures and
I got put on by a paper and I went
got all those pictures and I went down to he
also had Airbnb, So I went over there and I
got a little pictures and I got them removing like
(30:57):
a bomb truck late at night. It was wild.
Speaker 3 (31:00):
Oh yeah, because the guy had like explosives and shit too, right, Yeah, he.
Speaker 5 (31:04):
Built some at a at an offside Airbnb and then
he allegedly try to light said airbb on fire and
it didn't burn enough of the shit and then he
left to go do what he was going to do
and it didn't burn the house at all. Well, it
was wild. It still is wild. But now now Onans
(31:28):
has a Super Bowl, which they're being like super crazy
on security. But if somebody really wanted to do ill will,
they'll still do ill will.
Speaker 4 (31:40):
They always find a way, but they never they never
do it. And like where everybody.
Speaker 3 (31:44):
Expects, like the super Bowl, it's like nothing's ever gonna
have at super Bowl. You know, it's too much security everywhere,
you know, But how's it ramping up there? I mean,
what's going on in New Orleans for right now? I
mean it's a week away from Super Bowl. It's gotta
be going crazy.
Speaker 4 (31:58):
Huh.
Speaker 6 (31:58):
Tons of people obviously not there right now, but I
can tell you they have instoppable barriers on twenty blocks.
Speaker 3 (32:11):
Wow, they're installing barriers everywhere because there's some guy that
went down the street. Can the palisades fucking like just
install some like sprinklers everywhere, you know, something like that.
Speaker 2 (32:25):
Like, let's Spencer, They're opening up the palasades now, right,
we heard We saw Spencer's instagram Spencer Instagram earlier on today.
The palisades are now open for anybody and everybody.
Speaker 4 (32:41):
Right, No, they went back on that. They heard Spencer, Yeah,
they heard him.
Speaker 3 (32:46):
Did they got the word out? Everybody listens to Spencer?
Speaker 4 (32:51):
Now?
Speaker 1 (32:52):
No.
Speaker 3 (32:52):
I mean I didn't even know that was happening until
I saw his post and then and then it made
me think, like there's no way they can let people
up there.
Speaker 4 (33:00):
It did. Fuck, it'll be fucking chaos. You know.
Speaker 3 (33:03):
People just move in, They'll just move their tents in
and be like, I'm squatting.
Speaker 4 (33:07):
What are you gonna do?
Speaker 3 (33:09):
They gotta fucking keep people out of that until it
like really starts getting rebuilt.
Speaker 4 (33:12):
I'm talking like a year.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
You know, have the houses that are still standing in
the neighborhoods that are not standing, Like, have they got
power and water and stuff again yet people able to
move back in?
Speaker 1 (33:27):
No?
Speaker 4 (33:27):
I don't think so.
Speaker 3 (33:28):
I think the whole grid, the electrical grid, everything, all
power lines, everything, like everything was torched.
Speaker 1 (33:34):
You know, well, good, like they should not let anybody
back in then, so.
Speaker 4 (33:38):
They should not let any anybody back in for.
Speaker 1 (33:41):
Their listen to the powers that are Spencer.
Speaker 3 (33:45):
Prep well, I mean, since he did it, I saw
more people that were doing it too, But it's it
would just be the worst decision in in the history
of decisions. Like the fact that I heard that they
might do it, I was like, wait, what are we
talking about again?
Speaker 5 (34:00):
Yeah, I still told Spencer and he's he's still cool, dude.
Speaker 4 (34:06):
Ye, still, he's still cool.
Speaker 5 (34:08):
We can probably get him here.
Speaker 3 (34:09):
Well, and that's and that's my Storytoper. Right here, I
only have one story and it's not even of recent
days of taking pictures because I haven't taken a really
good picture and uh a week and a half or so,
since I haven't taken one in a month, bro okay,
that's good.
Speaker 5 (34:26):
Yeah, until the last couple of days, dude, we've we've
nailed a gang buster.
Speaker 4 (34:32):
Well if you guys don't, if you guys don't nail pictures,
you don't suffer that much.
Speaker 1 (34:36):
Yeah, we still got paid.
Speaker 5 (34:40):
Gangs.
Speaker 4 (34:40):
I can't wait to see what you guys are up to.
But but no, it's good.
Speaker 3 (34:45):
I posted a picture a couple of a couple of
days ago of a throwback that Spencer put up on
his that he put up on his Instagram and I
had to screenshot it, and I because it's a funny
story and this will storytalk all your oh your stories.
So I'm in Mexico. It's I think it's the first
Mexico Heidi and Spencer job. Yeah, and I had spotty info.
(35:10):
You know, I was staying at their hotel, but I
didn't know where they were. Spencer wasn't getting back to anybody.
I was kind of flying in the blind and and
I think it was probably my second or third time
to Mexico. But when I showed up there, because it's
spotty down there anyway, like the sell service all that
kind of stuff, so I wasn't getting any messages through, so.
Speaker 4 (35:29):
I didn't know anything.
Speaker 3 (35:30):
So I just I just put my camera in a
bag and I just went out front of the hotel
and I just started like walking around up and down
the beach because this was like kind of in the
main part of Cabo, wasn't like down in a private
resort type of thing. And so I started rolling around
and I came out and when I looked down, you know,
the pathway at him. I see him walking up the pathway,
(35:52):
and I happened to have my camera, so I actually
papped them in that picture. And if you look at
the picture closely, like you can tell that they're not
they're not expecting it at all.
Speaker 4 (36:02):
That it's like, uh, it's one.
Speaker 3 (36:03):
Of the last like like real photos of them being packed,
you know, because from that point on, they just kept
they just kept doing setups forever until like a month ago.
Speaker 4 (36:14):
But uh, that's my story. It tops all years.
Speaker 1 (36:16):
See, I told you there you go. That's funny.
Speaker 5 (36:20):
I also have other ones, but we don't have to
go into that full depth on this cast.
Speaker 3 (36:24):
Well only if they're a more uplifting story.
Speaker 5 (36:28):
Now, I do have other ones.
Speaker 3 (36:30):
Tell us, tell us a good Heidi and Spencer story, Nate,
I know you have at least one.
Speaker 5 (36:35):
Okay, from that one easy one that won't offend anyone.
So uh, I got sent from Long Beach all the
way to d C. So I woke up one day
and it's like, oh, you need to go do a
setup with Spencer and you need to go all the
way to Washington.
Speaker 4 (36:52):
I'm like, okay, we're back in DC. Now look at this.
Speaker 5 (36:55):
Yeah. So one day and uh to our old friends
over at the company. They were like, oh, you need
to go there and do this because I was a
young gun at the time, and I was the cheapest
one at the time, so I could take pictures for
the cheapest money. The day that they were probably paying
(37:20):
me like five dollars a day, I didn't get paid,
no money.
Speaker 4 (37:24):
Got equipment though, No, I'm kidding.
Speaker 5 (37:25):
Yeah, I had all the I had my own equipment. Actually, yeah,
so I got fucked in all money and everybody else
got rich.
Speaker 4 (37:35):
Yea headed too d C.
Speaker 5 (37:37):
Yeah, so I went from fucking Long Beach to uh
Dallas overnight boom popped up, got a cab, went to
d C, got to DC, and I was set to
do some pictures with Heidi and Spencer. Okay, so I
wanted to make some good ass pictures. So I'm like, well,
(37:59):
I need some American flags.
Speaker 3 (38:01):
This is going to be close to it, like like
an election time too, right, I think it was.
Speaker 5 (38:05):
I think I remember two thousand and seven and two
thousand and eight, Okay, nowhere near an election time. You
know how hard it is to find a fucking flag
in DC at six six am in the.
Speaker 4 (38:17):
Morning, Dude, their props never were easy.
Speaker 5 (38:20):
Never, no, No, I'm going around finding all these props.
Give me a flag, Give me flag? How much I
ended up buying like a bunch of flags from all
these people. And then I met those two. I don't
remember exactly where, but I think it was probably meet
me outside the White House. So I met them outside
(38:42):
the White House, game some flags, took some photos, and
then like, let's go lick a memorial, took some photos,
Let's go to the other side of the White House,
let's take some photos. And then they fucked off. But yeah,
so that was pretty funny.
Speaker 3 (38:59):
How long How long was the shoot?
Speaker 4 (39:01):
Do you think from start to end when you started
shooting them?
Speaker 5 (39:04):
Less than an hour? Because I started shooting them in
front of the White House at that time people started
noticing who they were, uh huh, And then we bought
a secret serviceation for a little bit.
Speaker 4 (39:16):
Really.
Speaker 5 (39:18):
Yeah, he's not a real person. That's how it goes.
Speaker 4 (39:25):
Yeah, for sure. Did you happen to see fire, aid?
Speaker 1 (39:29):
No, I know nothing about it.
Speaker 2 (39:31):
I knew that if the concert was planned and there
were you know, named people that were going to do stuff,
but I didn't know when it was, where it was
and you mentioned it now. That is the first I've
heard of it in quite a while by the girl.
Speaker 4 (39:45):
Okay, got it?
Speaker 5 (39:46):
She did it great?
Speaker 4 (39:48):
Yeah, I think so. I think so too. I think
she was one of the only ones.
Speaker 3 (39:51):
Well, it was a snooze fest, is what it was.
Speaker 1 (39:56):
Where was it in Ali? Obviously?
Speaker 3 (39:59):
Yeah.
Speaker 4 (39:59):
They it's the dumbest thing. They split it up from
two stadiums. They split it.
Speaker 3 (40:04):
Up from the forum and then in the into a dome,
which are like right next to each other, you know.
Speaker 2 (40:09):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (40:09):
They started one concert at six, one concert seven thirty,
and then on the telecast they like bounced back and
forth like a like a festival, you know what I mean,
it goes from one stage to the other, you know, huh,
festival format on the on TV. But no, I mean,
you know, the the bands that were there was a
(40:29):
couple of upbeat you know, Doctor Dre stuff like that
was kind of a beat. But for the majority, it
was just really sad to watch, you know. You know,
they're pulling out all these stories. Fucking Miles Teller gets
up there, He's like, oh.
Speaker 4 (40:43):
Yeah, you know, I lost my home. You know, it's like, dude,
your Miles Teller. Bro.
Speaker 2 (40:48):
Yeah, your wife is wife's family are worth like a
gazillion billion.
Speaker 1 (40:55):
Yeah, no, sympathy.
Speaker 2 (40:58):
Unfortunately it's duck lost your home, but you can build
like a million more.
Speaker 3 (41:03):
Yeah, no, it was. It was pretty bad. And now
we get the Grammys tonight. I guess I'm not watching
the thing of it, but it's almost seems like it
was like like a little little.
Speaker 4 (41:13):
Pre Grammys Grammys.
Speaker 2 (41:14):
You know, Oh, okay, Taylor's looking great, and well.
Speaker 4 (41:20):
You're watching it right now. You guys are seeing stuff
right now.
Speaker 1 (41:22):
No, no, I've seen stuff.
Speaker 2 (41:24):
And Kanye and Bianca have already been escorted out. I
don't know if you've have you seen it? No, So
Kanye and Bianca Censori.
Speaker 3 (41:35):
Arrived, Oh yeah you can, Kanye, Kanye, Kanye.
Speaker 2 (41:41):
Okay, So they arrived on the red carpet and she's
wearing a gown and she turns her back, she lets
go of the gown and she's wearing basically, are my
I see her, She's naked and they've already been escorted
from the venue.
Speaker 3 (42:01):
Okay, So basically every woman can wear like the most
revealing thing in the world, like the stuff they wear
at the Grammys. Right now, First of all, it's like
obnoxious and stupid and.
Speaker 4 (42:14):
Lame a lot of it.
Speaker 3 (42:15):
But they're practically naked anyway. I mean they're covering this
much of anything. Right, So, so Bianca shows up and
she actually just because it goes like, how far can't
we take this naked her out?
Speaker 1 (42:28):
You can't wear anything less?
Speaker 4 (42:30):
Yeah, so, you know, what's the big deal. It's so
next year, they're gonna allow it next year because.
Speaker 1 (42:35):
She's I don't think so, don't think so. I think
it's just pretty bad.
Speaker 4 (42:40):
This is pretty I mean I see it.
Speaker 3 (42:42):
I just I just figured this is where we were
going eventually, you know, naked.
Speaker 1 (42:47):
But yeah, no, this is just pretty bad.
Speaker 4 (42:49):
Well, it looks like someone's being arrested.
Speaker 2 (42:52):
I'm like starting to worry for her. I feel like
any woman in their right mind would not show up
and do this.
Speaker 4 (42:59):
You know what she has, She's got a neuro implant. Dude,
that's one of those. Yeah, yeah, he's turning her.
Speaker 3 (43:05):
They see Megan Fox's movie where she plays the robot, right, No,
that's when to watch. Put it on the list. Anyway,
she's she's a robot, She's a take home AI robot
and it's Megan Fox. You know this guy's like, oh yeah,
i'll take that. I'll take yeah, I'll tell I want
this to be my nanny.
Speaker 4 (43:24):
Yeah yeah, and he.
Speaker 3 (43:25):
Ends up like banging the robot. Anyway, that's what Kanye
is turning her into. He's turning like the real life robot.
Speaker 4 (43:34):
She's a I dude, dude.
Speaker 3 (43:37):
See people think that like Diddy's bad, But like, dude,
ten years from nowhere, all these girls are going to
be like dude, Kanye turned me into a robot.
Speaker 1 (43:44):
Dude, I don't doubt it.
Speaker 4 (43:48):
Look at her. She's got a straight face when she's
just standing.
Speaker 1 (43:50):
There like that, or she's got like no expression.
Speaker 4 (43:52):
What expression? Wow, that's crazy, dude.
Speaker 1 (43:57):
Yeah, okay, on that note.
Speaker 4 (44:01):
Yeah, Nate's tapped out. I think over there.
Speaker 5 (44:04):
I love what you're watching. Are you ready to watch
what you're watching?
Speaker 4 (44:09):
More soundbites?
Speaker 3 (44:10):
I love it? Yeah?
Speaker 5 (44:11):
No, what am I watching?
Speaker 4 (44:14):
Watch you watching what you watching?
Speaker 5 (44:16):
I'm watching Reservation Dogs?
Speaker 4 (44:19):
Oh shit, I'm watching Mayor of Kingstown.
Speaker 2 (44:24):
I'm watching a British show that's twenty years old called Benadom.
Speaker 4 (44:28):
No one can say the PPC is not diverse exactly.
We're going to know we're all white.
Speaker 1 (44:33):
Look at us.
Speaker 4 (44:34):
Well, Nate's questionable.
Speaker 5 (44:36):
I've got paperwork.
Speaker 4 (44:38):
I know. Nate's twenty three and meters is like six pages.
Speaker 5 (44:42):
It's mostly the US government hates me, but yeah.
Speaker 4 (44:47):
Or the government record one of the two.
Speaker 1 (44:51):
We're not going to be kicking you out anyway. The
Ice are not coming for you. Ice can't.
Speaker 4 (44:56):
Yeah, no, they can't.
Speaker 3 (44:57):
Dude, You're I'm working like five generations.
Speaker 5 (45:02):
Kick me yet if you won't.
Speaker 3 (45:03):
Seriously, you're like six generations and like six different Indian tribes,
like you're you're solid, bro.
Speaker 5 (45:10):
Two but not sex.
Speaker 3 (45:12):
They've been closing all the beaches down here due to
all the runoff, and it's gonna rain again later later
this week. We're talking all that runoff from from Palisades
coming down to the beach coming in Malibu. Right, they're
like glowing and it's not by iluminescence.
Speaker 1 (45:29):
But it's raining at the moment now.
Speaker 3 (45:30):
No, it's going to later this week. But it rained
a lot last week.
Speaker 4 (45:35):
Oh shit, yeah, like a lot a lot.
Speaker 2 (45:38):
At times, I'm gonna say you need it, but if
it's running everything man slades into the water, then it's
not great.
Speaker 3 (45:44):
Yeah, and all those and I was up in the
burn scars. You know, and it's just endless mud. Now
oh yeah, yeah, there's nothing holding those hillsides together. Yeah yeah,
it's ever.
Speaker 4 (45:54):
Everybody down the canyons get flooded.
Speaker 1 (45:57):
It's crazy. Christ.
Speaker 4 (45:59):
No big storms.
Speaker 3 (46:00):
We don't want any big storms, just light little dustings,
you know. All right, Well, you guys look like you're
ready for a burger.
Speaker 1 (46:08):
Oh yeah, we're ready for dinner.
Speaker 4 (46:10):
All right.
Speaker 3 (46:10):
Well, then we'll call this one and we'll figure out
what we're gonna call this one. Oh we love you,
but if yeah, Nate, you need to apologize to everybody.
Speaker 1 (46:21):
But take care be well. And for those we've offended,
we do apologize.
Speaker 4 (46:27):
Take care be well.
Speaker 5 (46:28):
Oh oh oh, but.
Speaker 4 (46:32):
I was there.
Speaker 1 (46:33):
I was there. I was there. I was there for
this as well.
Speaker 3 (46:37):
That's what you get when you're dumb.
Speaker 1 (46:38):
We're gonna go get some burgers and fries and milkshakes.
Speaker 5 (46:41):
I can't talk anymore.
