Maria Fernanda Elias Maglio nasceu em Cajuru/SP, em agosto de 1980 e vive em São Paulo há mais de vinte anos. É escritora e defensora pública, trabalha fazendo defesa de pessoas pobres em cumprimento de pena. Seu primeiro livro, “Enfim, imperatriz” (Patuá, 2017), venceu o Prêmio Jabuti 2018 na categoria Conto. Publicou também “179. Resistência” (Patuá, 2019), vencedor do Prêmio Biblioteca Nacional 2020 na categoria Poesia. Em 2021 publicou, também pela Editora Patuá, “Quem tá vivo levanta a mão”, semifinalista do Prêmio Oceanos e finalista do Prêmio Candango de Literatura. Participou de diversas antologias, dentre elas “Geração 2010 - O sertão é o mundo” (Reformatório, 2021).
