a scout master had a run inwith a UFOM. Sounds interesting,
right, And then on the secondhalf, we have a movie review,
a movie about aliens, call itExtra Terrestrial, and we're gonna talk about
(01:21):
what weapons you could buy at abig box store to fight cryptids courtesy of
Kevin J and I think some otherfun tidbits. So it should be a

I definitely felt more in the zone, focused and ready to do some research
and learn something. So, infact, I'm reviewing two different microphones for
an upcoming film project. And letme tell you, I was deep diving
(02:06):
on my research, reading the manuals, watching videos. I hit it hard.
In fact, Lush and I wentout and I was telling her all
about these microphones. I must havebeen rambling on for like ten minutes,
and finally she just said to me, I have no idea what any of
this means, but you seem reallyexcited about it. Yeah. Anyway,
(02:27):

why don't we jump in this storyabout a scout master okay and aliens?
So set the stage, set thestage, Okay. On a hot,
humid night in August nineteen fifty two, scout Master d s Sonny to
(03:15):
Burgers Furgers witnessed some lights from hisvehicle, and, after investigating these lights,
emerged from the brush, burned andincoherent, claiming that he had come
in contact with a UFO that hadattacked him. This incident is one of
Project Blue bucks most interesting cases andis still unsolved, and some believe it
(03:40):
may be the best hoax in ufhistory. Dun Dun dun ye uh so.
On the evening of August nineteenth, nineteen fifty two, it was a
muggy, moonless night. In aSonny moonless moonless I heard there was no
Daniel Boot anywhere. Moonless. ScoutMaster Sunny. He was driving a group
(04:08):
of boy scouts home. He happenedto see a flash of bright light out
of the corner of his eyes whilehe was driving on military trail near West
Palm Beach, Florida. Now militarytrail is like a role rural highway rule.
(04:29):
I can't say it anyway on ahighway, yeah, I thought a
country road. Yeah, running parallelwith the Atlantic coast. So he assumed
it was a car crash or aplane crash. So he pulled off the
highway onto the shoulder so that hecould, and this is a quote,
(04:51):
get a better look. All Icould think of is like, you know
those people that drive super slow whenthey're going past an accident. Yeah,
that's all I could think of.When I was reading that, I was
like, okay. So he pulledover because he wanted to go get a
better look of this crash. Didyou find anything about the ages of the
(05:12):
scouts? Yes, okay, yeah, I do have those. Um.
So he gets out of the cararmed only with a machete and a flashlight.
Yeah that's right, that's right.Well in the fact that he's got
a machete too, take that alien. Yeah, master never had a machete
when we were out in the woods. I feel like I need to keep
(05:32):
a machete on my car. Solegal, I don't see why not.
Okay, it's a gardening tool.True. True. Maybe some throwing axes,
okay, justin Yeah, throwing stars, but axes are real to dual
purpose. You know. Yeah, what weapons do you need to fight down
alien aircraft? Well we're gonna getinto that later when you're talking about uh
(05:59):
so. Yeah, he out withhis machete and a flashlight, and he
told the three boys to stay inthe car until he got back. He
told them if he have way cooler, if he got out with Danny Trejo,
yeah, I know, come here. He told them if he wasn't
(06:21):
back in fifteen minutes, to goto a nearby farmhouse and alert them of
what had happened. Um So,after hacking away at the brush for about
four minutes, Sonny arrived at aclearing in a grove and immediately was overcome
with an awful, nauseating smell andthe feeling as though someone or something was
(06:43):
watching him. Oh, I thoughtunited someone or something had dropped one.
No, uh it was at thefield. I'm just saying, that's what
bears go in Florida. Well, they're alligators. Okay, could have been
a skunk gate skunk cave too, yeah, uh it was. At this
(07:05):
point then an intense sense intense sensationof oven oven like heat hit him from
above. He looked up and realizedthat he couldn't see the stars above him,
and then that was when he realizedthat he was standing underneath a hovering
(07:25):
object. It was black, uhcircular, A black circular object with no
seams, rivets, or joints.I'm having trouble reading. It was about
thirty feet across with a dome ontop, and the bottom edge had a
(07:47):
phosphorescent glow to it. Okay.He was terrified and slowly started backing up.
Uh. He then began to heara noise like metal against metal or
some kind of metal door opening, and then a bright red light came from
the side of the object and slowlymoved towards him. And I have a
(08:09):
quote from him. I saw ared flare which appeared slowly to move toward
me. He came out of theside. I couldn't move or yell.
I was so scared. I couldsee the ship in the glow of the
red light. I put my handsover my face. I could see a
red mist around me. Then Ipassed Yeah, a red miss yeah,
and then uh, and then Ipassed out. So yeah, he covered
(08:33):
his eyes. He I guess, bawled up his fists over each eye eye.
What do you do with thee hmm, good question, yeah, big
time? And like who covers hereyes by bawling up and put your fists
over your eyes? Yeah, Idon't know, Yeah, that's a that's
a good question. I don't knowwhat he did with machete. He might
(08:56):
have dropped it. I guess.Well, don't they say that if if
you're an intense situation, like inyour kitchen, that most of the time
people do not even think about, like the knives in the kitchen or anything
you don't think about. He probablyjust so alarmed that he didn't think about
what's on him. But oh mygod, dude, he had a machete
right with a couple of front flipsand some good footwork, I mean,
(09:18):
you could have really just taken theguy out, even threw it, threw
it after the red thing at theeyeball and run away. So yeah,
heart wheel, we have our ownversions already. Yeah, okay, So
yeah, he covered his eyes withhis fists and said the red light became
a red mist that completely surrounded him. How he's got his eye covered with
(09:41):
his fist now, and that's whenhe lost consciousness, so he passed out.
When he woke up, he wasleaning against a tree and he couldn't
see because his eyes burned. Hestarted to make the difficult journey back and
his eyes started just slowly come backto normal when he burst out onto the
(10:03):
highway near his car. That waswhen he was met by the boys and
some local authorities. I just thinkit sounds crazy. He burst out in
the highway screaming, face burns.Good thing nobody opened up fire. Uh
so, yeah, the three boys, it was Bobby Roughing who was twelve,
(10:26):
David Rowan, who was eleven, and Chuck Stevens. Oh, I
don't have his age. Probably aroundthe same age as restaurant. Yeah,
it was either nine or ten.Yeah, so they must said they must
have had that fifty two, yousaid, yeah, yeah, So I'm
wondering if they knew how to drivetwelve eleven, twelve years old, if
(10:46):
they can move the car to getto the farm to go get a call
the cops, or if there wasa neighboring was kind of close that they
could hope. You know, itdidn't. I don't think it actually said
like how close the farmhouse was butthat it was Yeah, they can see
it. Yeah. Um, sothey did stay in the car. Truder
(11:07):
their word to to Sonny. UhBobby. He told authorities that he saw
a semicircle of white lights descending intothe trees, and also saw the hue
from the red lights. When theycouldn't see Sonny's flashlight anymore, I guess
that was when they got out ofthe car and went to that nearby home
to get help. The farmer thencalled in um authorities asking for assistance.
(11:33):
Now, the officers showed up atthe scene almost an hour after Sonny had
seen the lights and gone into thebrush. So he wasn't gone just fifteen
minutes. He was gone for abit. Um. He came stumbling out
of the brush, waving his macheteand babbling incoherently. Well that's what you
do when you go camping, Imean, have a few beers. That
just happened. He was just havinga good time now, according to the
(11:58):
officers there, he was shouting repeatedly, I'm coming here, I am that's
a different I'm surprised the cops didn'ttake him down. Uh. And he
looked and this is in quotes likea wild man as he struggled to come
(12:20):
up the embankment, battling incoherently. He was white faced and shaking. And
then I have another quote from oneof the guys. In all my nineteen
years of law enforcement work, I'venever seen anyone as terrified as he was,
m um. So, at thePalm Beach County Sheriff's Office, Sonny
and the boys were questioned. Nowthat's the that's a band grab let's roll.
(12:50):
We saw the aliens. Uh So, everyone was an agreement of what
happened, and there weren't any changesin the sequence of events by any of
the boys or Sonny um. TheSheriff's office then reached out to other agencies
(13:11):
to investigate further, because I feellike at that point they're like, m
I don't know. Now. Oneof the agencies came out and did like
soil samples. Yes, well,is that where you're next in the Make
sure you say the name of theagency. I really like the name of
the agency. I do have thefirst telex sent from local intelligence officers at
(13:33):
the Air Force or two of theAir Force Directorate of Intelligence, Washington,
so like kind of the first ProjectBlue Book. Yeah, report on this.
If you don't mind, I couldread it. It's sorry, similar
to everything you said. But here'swhat they stayed there a couple of things
beforehand, but I'll start right here. State she observed object covered ten feet
(13:56):
repeat ten feet above him for fiveminutes. He shined up to it.
Lower servers flat and sleep black. He felt great heat from it and heard
hissing sound. He backed off fromit. Describes lower edge as completely circular,
circuit wow, circled by phosphorends toglow. Heard noise like ships,
hatch opening objects, shop bob reddishglowy material at his face. He threw
(14:18):
his arms up to protect face.Hair on forehams singed off burnt holes in
cap glue accompanied by terrible smell.Observer passed out for twenty five to thirty
minutes. Three boy scouts in observerobservers car saw a red glue hit blacked
out and saw him fall forward. They ran for help, went observer awoke,
(14:39):
object was gone. So they Sothat is all. It's in all
caps. So that says that theobservers, the three boys saw this happen.
Yeah, I thought he was wellif he was bushwhacking, he had
the bush rack to get him hisclearing. I figured that they wouldn't be
able to see it. Yeah,um, I'll get that, okay,
okay um. So this is whenCaptain Edwards Jay Rupelt, the chief UFO
(15:05):
investigator for the US Air Force aswell as the Blue Book Chief, entered
the picture. Black suit, blacktie, white shirt. Yeah oh yeah
uh uh Rupelt Rupelt rupe no Repelt? Now are uppe lt? Rupelt in
(15:35):
His team arrived in Florida not toolong after, and they were able to
get statements from everyone, as wellas get grass and soil specimens from where
Sonny had said the encounter took place. It was noted that the hair on
Sonny's arms were singed and his skinburnt, and there was also, as
(15:56):
you mentioned, mark three tiny burnholes in his Scout master hat, which
I had seen something about, uhsome kind of meeting either that day or
the day before. There was noburn marks, so they think this happened
at this point. I when Iwhen I first I was really excited about
(16:17):
this, the three little burn holesand the guy's hat because I didn't know
if it formed a perfect triangle, because then if it, if it had,
I don't remember if it said itor not. If it formed like
a triangle. No, they didn'tmention the shape, but the three formed
because if it was, I waslike the predators, predator, I had
that little laser do nice, butit wasn't didn't say anything, So yeah,
(16:41):
I guess if it was a predator. He didn't like that guy's skull,
No, just left all zapped himwith the heat ray to scan him.
Run off. I didn't like whathe smelled like after he got burned.
Well, human hair burns really stinky. Yeah, no, you're ray.
Oh that drove off the off.Maybe that's the secret we stumbled across
(17:02):
it. Yeah, anyway, anyway, so Captain repult uh, he said,
this is one of the weirdest UFOreports that I have ever come up
against. Um Sonny. He underwentintense character scrutiny. Um. They did
(17:22):
like background checks on him, umand ruple. He felt that their original
interview he seemed to be telling thetruth. But yeah, in those background
checks, it came back that heactually was discharged from the Marines because he
um, he did some car thievingand well that's why he was discharged.
(17:45):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, he'sdischarged for stealing the car. Yeah,
you know what, maybe because it'sthe fifties, but all right, so
did some car thieving, but drivingaround at night with three under kids in
the car just now nowadays knew itwould not. I'm also one, This
is fifty two getting kicked out ofthe military for stealing a car. That
(18:07):
tells me that he and his buddieswere just out for a joy ride.
They had a little too much adrink, and they went out and wanted
joy ride, took a car andon a joy ride, and they got
pulled over and got caught. That'swhat I think it was, because if
people still trusted him, you wouldhave to have a lot of trust to
become a scout master, a dischargedscout master who probably discharged dishonorably because of
that, right right, But peoplestill liked him and trusted him, So
(18:29):
it must not have been like atrue like I'm gonna fast and furious,
I'm gonna steal your car. Right. Well, it's not like they could
do really good background checks back inthe day. Yeah yeah, well maybe
I don't know, but if youcould have docks him on the internet,
that's true. That's true. Sohe also apparently likes to tell um tall
(18:51):
tales. He likes to lie.All of his neighbors or the people in
the community. They were like,oh boy, yeah, he likes he
likes to spec and them for sure, so ruple he. Uh. He
actually went back to the site toum investigate some more. He felt that
(19:11):
there was no way the Scouts wouldhave been able to witness any of the
lights or like the red lights thatwere coming out. Um and he said,
that's how thick the foliage was.Foilage was Yes, the foilage.
I love ten foil yeah yeah, but then uh ruple he. He later
(19:34):
called this encounter a hoax and thatSonny was a con man because he sold
his story to a newspaper as well. So UM didn't send you write a
book. He did write a book, The Report on Unidentified Flying Objects,
uh, and it was about histime with Project Blue Book. But well,
(19:55):
and while his story was published innineteen fifty three edition Boys Live,
which was the boy Scout magazine thatcame right. So anyway, I just
have what kind of happened after Um, you have really a tidbit I'd like
to share, but if you wantto finish up yours because it it's not
awful of tangent, but it couldokay, send people well well only one
(20:18):
person at the table on a tangent. Oh okay, oh yeah, it's
me. Okay. Yeah. SoRuple and his team never managed to prove
the instant was a hoax, thoughThe soil samples came back normal, but
the root structure of the plants inthe area were charred black and the lower
leaves were deteriorated. Deteriorated. Ican't speak, I just can't. I
(20:45):
know, you're wonderful. The onlyway the lab could duplicate the way the
plants looked was by putting clumps ofgrass in a pan of sandy soil and
to heat it to three hundred degreesfahrenheit. It from the bottom. Yeah.
Um. There have been occurrences ofother UFO sightings of burnt and like
(21:06):
singed foiliage, but folage whatever, but it has always been above the surface,
never below in the roots. Sojust hmmmmm. Now, coincidentally,
just before this happened, okay, just before, I mean, like,
(21:30):
what did they say it was August? It was nineteenth something like that.
Oh yeah, nineteen, So atthe very end of July of nineteen fifty
two, Washington, d C.Was a hotbed of UFO activity. I
mean they were getting it. Theywere sometimes they were getting um twelve UFO
(21:52):
pings on a radar, like withina one to two hour time frame.
That was nineteen fifteen. Two Julyof nineteen fifty two, DC recorded the
most UFO activity I guess, concentratedin one one month ever of any place
in the country. So this ismy theory. Okay, and hold on,
(22:17):
that's right. And in on inthe Daily Independent Journal of San obviously
oddly enough, in sign Raphael inCalifornia, page five, July twenty ninth,
nineteen fifty two, they notated thatin Key West, Florida, the
Navy said it was investigating accounts byseveral sailors who said they saw a saucer
(22:40):
while attending an outdoor movie. Sohow are these things related? So of
course, yeah, yeah, Sothere are the navies looking into UFOs.
You have a UFO active activity havingin Key West, which is almost right
at the exact same time with this, But just before this, all these
(23:03):
UFOs were in DC. So thisis my thought. There was a convention
almost almost that Truman was meeting toset deals with the UFOs and something went
sideways. Something went sideways, andeither didn't work out for the UFOs,
it didn't end the way of peaceand happiness. So all these aliens got
(23:26):
pissed. They would They got pissedand scattered from DC at that time,
went around the country, went toKey US. They were noticed by the
US Navy and went and fried thisdude's noodle. They were outscrewed with people
because they were pissed off. That'smy theory, Okay, that Truman actually
(23:47):
maybe maybe he did something to saveus to keep the UFOs out, stopped
the deal, or maybe I don't, I don't know, who knows.
Maybe by that same action, maybehe did something to doom us and keep
them here playing our civilization. Idon't know. All right, you decide.
Or maybe they just gave his belcrowand then they were like cool,
(24:07):
good trade, Yeah, peace out, We're gonna go strew with this guy
in Florida. I just think thatthey were in DC and they were just
zipping around because they got pissed offsomething something didn't happen according to their plan,
and Truman was the guy who waslike, no, no, no,
this is our plan. Bach planetsget GTFO. I liked. I
(24:29):
liked the idea. They were therefor some type of convention, you know,
meeting with Truman or whatever dc UM. You know, I've been this
some conventions. You know. Thelast one we went at the comic You
don't know how it goes. Youend up at the hotel bar. Things
happens, you know. Then theAlands get back in their UFO. Is
this one guy couldn't buy so great? Yeah? Yeah, and the UFO
(24:49):
took off. He end up inFlorida, pissed off some sailors. The
sailors were like what are you doing? Or shooting their guns at him and
trying to follow this UFO around, and he was like, well, you
know what I'm if you're gonna treatme like this and I'm gonna screw with
your people went and frowned the dudeand freedom and then they're like, all
right, peace out fools, andtook off. UFOs screwing with us yet
again? Or is it something else? I just I found this from the
(25:15):
August twenty second, nineteen fifty twoedition of Saint Petersburg, Florida Times Um,
which was this was published maybe aday or two after the story was
published about he saw the UFO WestPalm Beach, twenty six German swastika marked
navigation charts were discovered floating in theocean yesterday to further mystifier residence, already
(25:41):
upset by Scott Master's report of aflying saucer Tuesday night, not us.
I don't know, well, Iknow that that that's one of the I
just thought odd that one of thetheories that came because they in the thing
that I was reading about the DCevent, they gave a ton of headlines
(26:03):
all across the country about about thesealiens showing up, and that was one
of them that they were possibly theywere trying to debunk the UFO that it
was UFOs by dropping paraphernalia or documents. What am I trying to say?
They're dropping So you're saying propaganda,Yeah, the government's dropping things. So
(26:25):
they drop a twenty six German swastikamark navigation charts, people are like,
oh, it was Nazis, notUFOs. They were trying to cover it
up. That's why I think itdidn't happen the way that the aliens wanted.
Then troubing like backed them off ordid something to piss them off.
I don't know, And so theydid that, and so the US had
to step in to say it wasn'tUFOs, it was Nazis, right,
(26:47):
yeah, Nazis, darn Nazis. All right, Well, there you go.
And if you're in the Boy Scoutsof America, you can get the
alien roll badge is one of yourmerit badges. Wow, now what do
you have to do? I couldnot find that. I'm assuming to look
at the sky. Okay, fora designated amount of time. We know
(27:10):
somebody in Boy Scouts of America thatwe should bring us up with just got
his fishing merit badge. Right? Is he a boy Scout or a Cub
Scout? I don't know. Idon't know that you were ever a Scout.
Yes, Cub Scout and boy Scout. I was a Cub Scout and
then a wee below never made itto a final phase. Yep. We
below is like just a wee belowthe bout. So it was like the
(27:33):
next level up. So I levelit up, but not the hallway.
I wasn't in any of you know, the girl Scouts or what are they
brownies? Brownies? Yeah, Iwas not in that because we lived out
in the middle of nowhere, somy mom was like, no, we're
not driving you like forty minutes togo to a meeting or whatever. So
(27:55):
wait to go, uh mother inlaw. Yeah, so yep, wasn't
wasn't part of the plan anymore.Yeah, two bags. And I'm pretty
sure the girls guys would have taughtyou how to cook. Yeah. Wow,
you're bringing in Wow where that didnot come from me? Wow?
I mean that would have been areally good skill to learn. Yeah,
(28:15):
that's all. It's sad because it'strue. All rights. Why don't we
take a quick break and we're gonnacome back on the movie review. We're
gonna come back with the weapons tofight cryptids, and I don't know,
there's other stuff to talk about.I don't know. It should be fun,
so stick around. I don't knowwhy I did that. We'll be
(28:37):
right back and we're back, allright, all right? So, uh,
we talked about a UFO incident,So we thought we'd part with a
movie about aliens and I picked thisone. It's called Extra Terrestrial. Now
(28:59):
why and I picked this movie?Well, it's by the same people behind
Ghost Ghost Adventuress. Yeah, Iknow you did that Grave Encounters. What's
they're kind of spoofing Ghost Adventures inGrave Encounters, but it's the Vicious Brothers,
so, which is a writing directingduo. Colin Mini Han and Stuart
(29:23):
Ortiz go and they go by theVicious Brothers. I am a huge fan
of Grave Encounters. Uh, notso much Grave Encounters too, but I
was thought, like, you knowwhat they bring that kind of same you
know, I don't know energy wentI'm in and I assumed right out of
the gate that it was found footage, right, because I think I told
(29:45):
you was found footage. Yeah, and there was a there was a little
bit of that style, and therea hint of it of shaky camera there.
What about a little bit whereas froma camera point of view from one
of the kids in it. Yeah, I got real tired of that real
quick. Yeah. I think evenon the discorder channel or Patreon discord um,
(30:07):
I said it was found forty SoI was completely wrong. Everybody.
Oh, speaking of of our Patreonlike to welcome new member, Rob,
welcome to the club, Thank you, thank you. That's right. We
got a Patreon one dollar helps outto show you get to be part of
the discord and you get about theshow other stuff. If you're into a
(30:27):
check it out patreon dot com slashParallel Punchers. All right, um,
yeah, so I picked this onesolely based on I liked the reputation of
or what you've seen from the otherones. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
I don't know why. I justthought, like, you know, not
every director don't always make Oh youlike grahymcounts, We'll just do it again
(30:49):
with aliens. You like that? Was do it again with a cryptid?
You like that? No, that'sbut I was kind of hoping. Yeah.
So, so so what do youguys think, I mean, one
out one out of ten? Youknow, if you were to rate this,
what would you give it? Well, um, let's just jump here
a little bit. I want togive the quick synopsis. Okay, okay,
(31:10):
okay, Sorry, sorry I wasjumping ahead. Well basically, where
the heck did I put to myquick my synopsis? Oh no, I
could give one real fast me too, but I had it here right from
the IMDb. Well it doesn't matter, m Surprise, surprise. It's about
a group of kids to go toa cabin in the woods, but instead
(31:33):
of dead eyes attacking them, it'saliens. And I have all kinds of
notes. In fact, we werehaving a few drinks watch it. So
I have some really funny notes. But why don't you kick it off?
Well? Sure, so it ismy way of throwing you to the wolves
here when I trying to find myplace in my notebook. No, well,
(31:56):
I appreciated it. Opened it upwith a girl absolutely terrified. Uh,
she's trying to get into a gasstation and the guy he he flips
over the sign that says clothes andhe's like sorry, and so she goes
to find well, she goes toa phone booth. I think she was
(32:16):
trying to she trying to call somebodyor she could nine one one? Did
she Okay? But but that doesbeg the question. I don't think phone
booths exist anymore. No, notanymore. Everybody had a cell phone.
Where was this phone booth? Well, this came out in twenty fourteen,
so I don't know. Phone boothry still is some pybe you know somewhere
(32:38):
uh and not the real world.I don't know, somewhere where the the
uh whatever state? Do you knowwhat state they were in? I'm going
did it go with maybe California?M Yeah, I don't know what state
they were in, So I hada general question about the the easements okay,
(33:00):
yeah, which is how far youcan build from the center line of
a road. Because the gas tanksfor that gas station that she went to
were like inches away from the whiteline on the side of the road.
That's really close that I was like, why, I guess thinks gonna kill
somebody. Yeah, that was myanyway, that's my review sums the whole
(33:29):
thing over right there. But sheyeah, she's on the phone. Does
the call get dropped or get staticky? And then there's this bright light and
then all of a sudden, youdon't see the phone booth anymore. You
just see like the bottom part ofthe phone booth, and then it falls
right like I feel like it's reallygreat, like set up for like this
(33:52):
is what you're going to get.Yeah, I mean it's a it's pretty
intense. Yeah, it beams itup then yeah, it falls back down.
She's not in it, but it'sa nice opening. Yeah, it's
quick. Things happened, you feellike, okay, and then the uh
feels like the cold open, theteaser, you know, the whole thing.
Yeah, then the sheriff, thedeputy shows up. Now. I
(34:14):
don't know if you noticed. Thedeputy is is the guy who played Lance
Preston Engrave Encounters. Yea, Idid not. I didn't think you yeah,
um yeah, but you know again. This movie was put out by
I Have Seen Midnight. It premieredat UM twenty fourteen Tribeca Film Festival,
(34:37):
So I was like, this isgoing to be really good, right Um
they started strong? Oh and Ididn't make this. Uh these are my
notes. Um the c W.Dawson's Creek vibe. Oh yeah, when
they're all getting ready to leave orwhatever. Now, no, the next
the post I guess, the creditscene. The post credit scene though,
(34:59):
when they when they I forget there'sa name for when they introduced the name
of the movie or whatever starring whoand who and who and who and whatnot?
And then you get into the verybeginning of the movie. Oh that
that explains this note. Opening Netflixdocu series. It felt like a little
bit of like a TV show ordocument documentary style opening. Yeah, I'm
(35:19):
not. I didn't really care.I had no clue I wrote that,
but yeah, I couldn't. Ididn't really care for although I did,
but I didn't they set Like thefirst like thirty seconds when the movie starts,
is that slow pan up a girlwho's getting dressed. Oh yeah.
And I was like, as muchas I don't mind saying that, at
the same time, I was like, I don't starting we're starting in a
(35:43):
movie like this at looking at herkind of flat rear, just saying I
just felt like the whole I waslike, Wow, it's a weird way
to start jump into this movie aftersuch a really strong cold open like that.
You know, now I understand Institutewas fourteen. Yeah, but the
reason we can get all these kidsto this cabin in the woods was because
(36:07):
it's I think it's her parents cabinand they're gonna sell it. They're gonna
sell it, and it's really nice. Yeah it is. And I'm right
right away I was like, sellit, air, be and be it.
But I guess that just wasn't athing. Well, her parents are
getting divorced and I think her momwanted to sell it or something like that.
(36:28):
Yeah, and the dad had stuffthere. It's a bitter situation whatever.
And then one of the kids thatwent to the cabin was also the
villain in Erndale Versus Evil Yeah, the dark hair, very annoying, nerdy
guy a lot and drank a lot. Yeah, and he he met his
demise at the rear end of themovie and himself. Yeah, I like
(36:53):
how you're the same thing. Butfor me, the characters from the dialogue
just kind of I don't know,it was okay. Yeah, I didn't
think it was great, but Iwas like, okay, I'm I'm,
I'm in here we go, youknow, And I kind of I kind
(37:15):
of felt that way through most ofit was like, it's not it's not
a bad movie. No, no, it's not a fantastic movie, but
it was enjoyable, right, youknow. And then they so so they
all get together, they go off. The boyfriend uh has a surprise,
but he doesn't tell her about ituntil it gets there and she's at the
(37:35):
same time there. Yeah, Ido kind of like the They try to
put dynamics in there, you know, to kind of stir the pond a
little bit. True. Yeah,Well, and the kids are out there,
they meet up with this guy's growingwed Yeah, growing We definitely like
conspiracy theory guy. Uh, didyou see the star trek lights on his
(37:59):
eyes when he go to the door, did you see that high so I
know he had a scarecrow at hisgate. Yeah, and it was where
it had Richard Nixon mask on.Yeah. Yeah, but that was yeah,
Michael Ironside. So I don't knowhe brief role, but I kind
of liked him and it was allright. I kind of questioned his wardrobe
(38:19):
a little bit. Oh well, apparently the funny T shirts that he was
wearing that was his idea. MichaelIronside, Yeah, I guess because he
was the big star in the movie. He had in the in the Sheriff
or whatever. I couldn't place wherethe Sheriff whatever he was in when he
was younger. I know we hadtalked about this while we're watching him.
He's been in a lot of stuff. Yeah, and I was like,
(38:40):
nothing that I would be like, yes, that's who. Yeah, you
know that's what I saw him in. But I've seen so many with him.
Michael Ironshide was the big pole. That's why they were like, you
know what where a shirt with aduck on it? Right? Or where
whatever the other one was? Becausehe was like, well, if I
don't do it, I'm yeah, those shirts where his idea. Oh yeah,
(39:01):
and one of the things. MichaelIronside was telling these kids that that
the aliens have had a treaty withthe US government after Roswell Yeah, yeah,
which okay. I was like, all right, all right, it's
a new spin on it. Andbecause of that treaty, the government turns
a blind eye to whatever these alienswould like to do, which ia meds
(39:22):
to run tests on us, snagus, abduct us, do bad things.
Well, and the way you putit too, I kind of liked
how he put it that. Itwas like they the deal is that they
can do whatever they we turn ablind eye, and we get to pretend
like it's our planet. Right. That's I was kind of like, I
kind of dug that a little bit. I was like, all right,
(39:43):
okay, okay, so fast forward, good moving past that. Yeah,
show up. And I had ofa note here which I thought was funny.
And I don't know, well,Deputy, this must be the lands
pressed the character. I just wrotethis down, Deputy talking but stuff to
that one guy. I'm sure it'sforeshadowing. Yeah, So they're in the
(40:12):
cabin, they're all having a goodtime. You know. It plays out
the dynamic about the kid, aboutthe boyfriend girlfriend, thing and all of
that, and then things start togo sideways. Yeah, well I think,
um, the reason it goes sidewaysis she ends up shooting one.
Correct, It had to go sidewaysa little bit before that for the alien
(40:32):
to be there, true, becausewell, well back it up, because
they were finding the animals that werecut up. Yeah yeah, you know,
and the and the animals and theyfind a footprint. Yeah, all
kind of building. These clues arelike, oh, in a comment,
they saw the meteor or the commentcome down, and that's when they found
the spacecraft and the footprints. Sookay, yeah, yeah, the alien
(40:57):
was drinking to see what happens. He's probably coming from a convention. Yeah,
he just like in a story earlier, you're her pist. And then
they go down the alien and thegirls shoots, She shoots and what she
thinks kills it. Yeah. Um. And of course they leave the body,
(41:19):
which you should never do because obviouslyit's going to you know, it's
coming back. But it was inthe pool. It was all like algae
in the pool. It couldn't survivein that pool. I mean, come
on, that was a nasty setof wall. Yeah, that was girl.
Gross. These aren't the War ofthe world's aliens, that a little
virus takes him down, right, the common cold took down the aliens still
(41:40):
cool concent Yeah yeah yeah so souh so. I think it escalates at
that point because she shot one yeaand he could have just been asking for
an inverter or to get back, you know, so he could fix his
ship and get out of here, you know, or I needs an aluminum
foiled or something. He could haveasked for a cup of sugar, who
knows, and she turned around andblasted him. Yep. That's a sad
(42:05):
day. Now they're out for blood. Yeah. There's a one scene the
really annoying guy, uh from Tuckerand Dale. Yeah yeah, but so
to avoid getting beamed up, hehas a bright idea to handcuff himself to
a tree. Yep. Yeah, and they beamed up everything except his arm
that was strapped to the tree.I'm like, yeah, if they yeah,
(42:29):
I just don't see. I've alreadythought that was gotta workout, right,
Yeah, yeah, and there was, So the aliens come down,
that's when they was that before?Did she shoot the alien before or after?
Michael ironside, I don't think it'safter. Hold on let me look
at my notes. I'm not sure. I'm not sure. But but then
(42:52):
it ensues. They get passed. They're coming after people, so really the
power goes out. They go intothe basement, someone or something crashes on
the first floor and then I thinkshe shot. Yeah, and then as
I have in quotes, dude, that's a dead fan alien. And then
they leave asap I did. Idid mention it to uh, to Evan
(43:16):
and this whole thing. So whenthey were coming back from the pool with
the dead alien, with a quoteunquote dead alien, they come back and
the one friend suggests, let's justget out of here, get in the
car and get out of here. That was there was a commercial. Yeah,
let's just get the running car.Now that's time behind these chainsaw the
(43:37):
shed. Um. Yeah. Andthen obviously if you're still listening, there's
been a few spoilers. Yeah,so we must just keep going because I
would like to talk to you aboutone of my biggest problems with the movie.
Because oh, and then the oneguy they did have an anal probing
(43:57):
scene and it was it wasn't reallya no, it was shot something.
It was there and totally mortilized them. Yeah. Yeah, it was more
of a blender situation. Yeah.I was like, that's stupid. But
uh, here comes the heavy spoilerthe end where they beam the couple back
down. Oh you all the wayto the Oh yeah, they's got that.
(44:19):
That's what ruined that to me.Then ending ruined what? Uh the
movie overall it was all right.Any times I thought it had like a
like a I don't know, aB movie vibe, like we're trying to
be a little like better age, just a little fun like better like better
than the B movie, but notquite an A movie. The whole concept
is kids cabin the woods, butnow aliens. I'm like, all right,
(44:43):
I'm I'm with you, but Ididn't understand. The ending was just
kind of like what yeah, yes, So they beat them down, keep
going, They beat them down, and they're like they're the last two survivors,
you know, the boyfriend girlfriend andthey're like, you know, went
through all this crap. They wentthrough the matrix and they came out of
the matrix X on the ground, right, and uh, they're like,
well, let's let's just get outof here together. And they come through
(45:06):
the woods. They hear something. They come through the woods and it's the
military, like we're here, we'rehere in the military to go like pa
right. Yeah. Now, firstoff, I still wonder like, why
would the aliens let them go?Right? Love true love and the aliens
all of a sudden got became bigold softies and well that these two lovers
(45:28):
go. I was like, okay, well that was foreshadowed too. You
know, early on they said thatthey let most of the people go.
There are also some people who stillwho live up there, maybe even born
up there. And then there's somepeople who just they turn them into meat
sauce. Yeah. Uh So myimmediate thought is when it when they were
(45:50):
beamed down and they wake up outsideit's bright outside. I was like,
oh god, what if the aliensare still running an experiment like and so
this is all in their head. They think they've been like they escaped,
um, but they really just wantto see how they're going to interact with
each other or whatever. That wasmy thought. Interesting. I just thought
(46:12):
like, uh bs, the governmentwould snatch him up and ask the Brazilion
questions ros Tesla, but they theyjust shot and then they burn them up.
Yeah, and then we kind ofget there Dan like a guy with
a cigarette, so kind of likethe smoking Man from the X Files.
(46:35):
Yeah. Oh, and that guyplayed the psychic medium and Grave Encounter,
Yes he did, so, gotcha? Gotcha? Yeah? So and then
it was and I was watching thiswith with my son again, and uh,
I thought to myself at the veryend, that's you know, when
they came out of the woods andthey shot him and they threw him in
the pit and burned him. Ithought, that little group that's right there,
(46:59):
little military group. I'm like, that's a pretty good gig. How
do you get that job? Youcan't. It'd be really hard to get
into that job, which means youhave really good job security and probably pretty
good pay and benefits. Yeah.Yeah, So if there is a group
out there this is all true, just let me just let me know,
(47:19):
you know, I'll send your resume, because, uh, you know,
that'd be a great gig. Thenyou want to work for the group that
shot first and never bothered to askquestions. I don't want to be the
guy who shot them. But therewas a lot of things happening. They
were cleaning up things, you know, it had been really nice for big
Foot was there cleaning up. Buteven if you're on that team, you'd
still have to look the blind eye, as they say, when they just
(47:44):
shot the two kids that were aboutit. They just don't know the big,
bigger picture, I mean orders ororders that kids I meet and the
twenties. Yeah, yeah, latetwenty mid late twenties. Yeah, yeah,
yeah, so overall, I don'tknow. I had fun for a
while with it. Yeah, therewas a time when it fell apart.
I think it fell apart and Iwas like, Graymancowas were better. So
(48:06):
my first fell apart spot was whenthey woke up on the alien ship.
Okay, that was the first spotfor me where it was like, okay,
she woke up, I got you, I got you. And then
that segment of being with the aliensit like because I was like, all
right, this is not a badmovie, and give it about a seven,
(48:28):
you know. It was like I'menjoying it. It's not the best,
but it's all right, it's prettygood. And then that happened and
I was like, it dropped itthrough the floor for me, huge,
and then again at the very endbecause it made me think I kind of
liked the surprise at the end alittle bit, just because it wasn't what
I was expecting. But then youkind of are expecting it, right,
(48:51):
you know. And well, especiallywith Michael Ironside, Yeah, you know,
he's saying like the government just turnsa blind eye. So obviously it
would makes sense that they're like thekids are trying to get help from the
military people and they're like new,no, you're done. So yeah,
yeah, i'd probably throw in thereabout a six. I put it out.
(49:14):
I gave it about a six anda half. I didn't hate it.
No, And when you're watching amovie taking notes and trying to analyze
and pick it apart, I thinkit. I think those things are more
glaring. So it's on two Bfor free. Maybe just watch it.
You're not trying to pick it up. It's a perfect movie for two B.
It's perfect. Yeah. In fact, I was looking at two being
(49:34):
like, there are so many bigfootmovies on this thing. Yeah, yeah,
I didn't really. I'm kind ofnew to to be now because of
this, so now I'm checking itout. Um, what would you give
it? I would give it aeither a six or seven. Um,
it was kind of there were terrifyingmoments and moment and then there was a
lot of great visuals. I loveddrill scene no no, no, no,
(50:02):
uh Like I liked how they usedthe um some of the cinematography,
Yeah, I did, like yeah, yeah, they had scenes where it
was just a bright red light andyou're like, oh no, the aliens
are here there you need to run, or or that one girl she just
kind of stood there and waited atthe very beginning in the booth No not
(50:24):
in the phone booth. Um.The four of them were in a car,
yeah, where they coming back fromthe first girl that yeah, looked
up and she was like yeah anddidn't do anything. Yeah. I was
like, are you like a deerin headlights? Or like, what's happening
here? Why aren't you moving?Or trying to figure out how to get
(50:44):
away? But um, but anyway, as she said, you gave it
a it's not a six and ahalf six Yeah, yeah. I The
thing that I wish they had mentioned, just just to kind of wrap it
up a little bit, was thethe friend who took the pills? Did
(51:06):
it ever say it? I missedit? Did it ever say what pills
she was taking? See? Becausemy son thought they were sleeping pills,
That's what I said. Yeah, but I thought they were like an anti
anxiety pill. Yeah, she waspopping a lot of She was popping him
in a stressful situation. So whohad a stressful situation? Why don't it
take a sleeping pill? Right,So that's why I was like, she's
(51:28):
taking like Xanax or something like that. She's taken to med to chill her
out a little bit. Yeah, and then she kind of died. But
I don't I think that she survived. My son. We had this whole
debate about did she survived? Theonly survivor was the chick who was in
the basement and fell asleep, becausethat's what I had said that she needs
to do to get past this wholething. It was like just staying in
the basement. Nobody knew about ituntil the military finds her and they'll be
(51:57):
like, oh sorry, yeah, and who knows if they would have Yeah,
she could have slept through the wholething. Yeah, maybe that's part
two. She wakes up in thecabin. She wakes up and she's like,
oh man, I feel great.Where'd everybody go? I threw this
out to the uh alright, Patreonmembers, telling this the movie we're gonna
(52:17):
talk about, you know, It'son two B for free if you want
to check it out. So hereAndy, here's her review. Okay,
so the movie is actually pretty goodoverall. There was spoilers I'm sorry,
we already did that. Sorry,a little iffy here and there, mostly
around the dialogue of the angsty collegeteens. I still thought they agree in
(52:39):
their twenties they're on college. Ifeel they're in their twenties. Yeah.
There are some moments of really coolcinematography, a very good usage of lighting
for over stimulation, over stimulization effects. Sure I botched that, Sorry,
and a lot of really intense twist. I can't wait to hear about what
(53:00):
you guys think. Will Missouri Willhad this to say. Wow, I
just watched that movie. Gotta say. Not a fan of the ending lol.
Not that it was bad, justI was hoping for some closure.
Lol. The movie as a wholewas pretty good. The only complaint was
(53:21):
some parts of the dialogue. Yeah, Kevin Jay, I'll start with the
good. There are some very goodmoments of cinematography. Some of the shots
in this movie look incredible. Theyrange from creative to beautiful to creepy.
There are more than a handful ofexpertly framed and lighted shots. Now I'll
(53:45):
move on to the bad. Thismovie is boring. The storytelling and pacing
is bad. I fell asleep whilewatching it, and I didn't want to
go back and finish it. Thecharacters aren't likable or anything more than cannon
fodder. This is zero character development. There's some forced exposition to grow characters
(54:10):
that goes nowhere. The et theet effects are bad, just bad.
What makes them worse it's that theydon't even try to hide the effects using
lighting most of the time. Hardpass, have a good with everybody and
skip this movie. Fair Yeah, yeah, yeah. I think that sometimes
(54:36):
it was the aliens that were kindof just, you know, for scare
factor, that's tall, you know, aliens tall, lank, But then
they would move in a way thatwouldn't be a tall alien, like they're
jumping around. I did really likehow a lot of the times they left
the alien in the shadows, andthen when you were looking one way that
(54:57):
the aliens scurried and you only sawglimpse of it. I really like that.
And then it just seemed that thealien that was getting around in the
shadows wasn't an eight foot tall twofoot wide alien that doesn't seem like it
could move like that. I don'tknow. It didn't have moves like Jagger.
Yeah, it did not. Itdid not. It did not,
(55:22):
but I mean it did not.Yeah. And then so my my kind
of my beef, my biggest beefwith the movie because I actually rated it
a little bit higher until I gotto the very end and I thought about
it, and I'm like, theVicious Brothers really took a lot, leaned
(55:44):
heavily on the Matrix and on M. Knight, Shamlaman Dingdong. All right,
go with the how you can comparethis movie to something M. Knight
did so Signs. The first halfhalf of the movie was very similar to
Signs. He's there in there inthe field they come. You only see
(56:06):
glimpse. The shot of the alienis similar, like tall, kind of
lagging. Yeah. Yeah, andhow how the the they introduce actually the
creature itself, It's very similar tothe movie Signs. Then of course there's
a twist at the end. There'sthere's that. Then they deal with it.
Uh, and the twist at theend with Shamalainman ding Doong all the
way. Okay, So that's Iwas like, Okay, that's m night
(56:29):
right there. And then the alien. While they were with the aliens,
I mean it was like they cometo the she comes out of her little
cocum or she's being restrained, justlike what Neo did you know when he
when he came out, and thenuh kind of walks at the edge and
sees the grandeur of where they are. I was like, that's the matrix
(56:52):
right there. Oh my god, this is these are these two movies jammed
together with extraterrestrioms. Well, allright, that's what I took. I
would say, these are not thealiens you want to be abducted by.
No, no, yeah, that'sa big fat now all right A speaking
of movies, um, we sawDungeons and Dragons Honors among Thieves. Wish
(57:16):
I did. Um. This isnot a review. All I'm gonna say
is if you're a fan of DND, or you fan of like fantasy movies
or just fun action movies or evenyeah, Chris, he's very piny in
this. Oh yeah, um itwas so much fun. Really highly recommend
it. If you play dn D, you're gonna get everything you wanted from
(57:38):
a D and D hit, allthe nerd points. It's saying if I've
gotten realms. Uh yeah, there'sstuff out of the Monster Manual. It
is a lot of fun. Uhfight scenes are cool. Uh yeah,
it was exactly what I was hopingfor, fun Saturday afternoon movie. Coming
away with a big smile on myface. Oh yeah. So it did
(58:00):
not follow in the long held traditionof other D and D. That's great.
It's good here. This movie isable to delete those other movies from
your brain. Really, that's wonderfulto hear. Yeah. Yeah, it's
now in the middle. Like towardsthe end of the movie, the theater
licens came on to scream one blankyeah, and I thought, oh man,
(58:21):
we having a huge thunderstorm, DoD, we just lose powder, right,
And then they went off. Flickercame back on again like we're so
close to the end, and somenerds behind me we're like, oh,
they rolled on one right, Andthen if people were like some people were
laughing and the other people weren't laughing, Like, you don't get it because
you don't play D everybody plays gota snicker? Did that? But highly
(58:44):
recommend if you're into that style ofmovie action. D and D yeah,
it was fun all right? Now, speaking of fun, uh, Kevin
Jay at it again and our Facebookgroup. That's right, we have Facebook
group joy It look it up ParallelPunchers. Kevin J posted a question to
(59:06):
the group. I'm currently building aroom in my basement, and while at
a big box hardware store, Ihad a thought. What's the best tool
to fight off a crypto? Thisis the question I posed to the group
today. If you had to fightoff a crypto that's somewhere between a puck
waging and Frank the big Foot insize, what tool from a big box
(59:28):
hardware store would you take into battle? And I have a few answers here,
but I'll start with the US.Okay, well you want me to
get you warmed up, I canstart with Wills. Go for it,
okay, Will said, While achainsaw sounds most logical, I feel it
(59:49):
would be too hard to wield againstanything, so I would say probably a
big lumberjack axe, and maybe i'dalso want a machette as well for smaller
things, although if I'm fighting Frank, I'm not sure I would win without
any except maybe a very large caliberrifle. Okay, Okay, yeah,
(01:00:13):
I would probably uh have two weapons. Okay. One would be a screwdriver
for close contact. Okay, notesbut okay, I did not I swear,
okay uh. And then my secondwould be like a crowbar or like
a one of those um you know, like a big metal thing. Yeah,
(01:00:36):
oh yeah, yeah, that's aboutit, because I don't think i'd
be able to wield anything real heavyor big and cumbersome, you know what
I mean? Okay, like Iwouldn't be physically, I wouldn't be able
to do it. So, Nash, I know you have some thoughts.
(01:00:59):
I have so I I have somuch. I have so many different levels
of thoughts on what you could usefor this. Well, then maybe I'll
go first. It sounds like you'regonna go on for a bit. Now.
I don't know the scenario. Idon't know if it's like we're out
walking to us for I don't onlyyou know the kind of all this in
my backpack or whatever. But Iwas trying to think and weapons for ranges,
(01:01:21):
So break it down like long rangesaying fighting that would be like kicking
than striking range. You're getting closernow where you're throwing punches. Then get
into the trapping if you're a fanof Bruce Lee and GKNDO. Now you're
using like headbuts and you're locking upyour armbars and trying to go for choke
holds and then grappling on the ground. So I'm thinking long, I would
(01:01:45):
want to start with something like evenif I had to make it like get
really thick down rod some type ofblade and mounted to the end, so
that way I could keep whatever atleast a distance, hoping I might at
least annoying enough to run away orcut it enough that it says nope.
Um, if the range was closer, uh shorting that distance where now you
(01:02:08):
could put your hands on me,I think I would want to go with
like a machete. Okay, okay, Um Again that next range is where
I thought. Again, that rangewhere they're right up, we're now grabbing
each other, going for you know, uh, breaking limbs and choking each
other out. I was taken screwdriver and just jamming that right up into
(01:02:29):
the kidneys and the gut just umwow wow Okay. And then I thought,
if if it would be in asituation where it's grappling, I'm probably
screwed. Uh. If a cryptotakes me down to the forest ground and
starts ground and pounding. So Ididn't have a kind I a weapon for
(01:02:51):
there, except hopefully I held onto the screw driver. Okay, okay.
So for me, I was like, okay, again, I don't
know the scenario. You know,it is a scenario that he's fitting outfitting
his room for an invasion from somethinglike this. At a big box store,
you can build anything, you know. I mean, he could build
(01:03:12):
he could build a replica from theMaster of Star Wars the trash compactor and
Star Wars as his front door toget into his place, which would be
really cool, and then you couldjust mash it into the past. But
so I thought, okay, soputting that aside, and any room defenses
that you could build into there froma big box hardware store, because you
can build anything. Um, whatI would probably have on me is very
(01:03:35):
similar to what you and actually youboth said. I was thinking at a
range to have like a pride bar, because those pride bars a ground digging
bar, but they're kind of heavy. So they're kind of heavy, yeah,
because they're like an inch round inchand a half round spike at about
six or seven feet tall, they'rekind of heavy. I could, I
could do it, but it wouldbe I wouldn't be fast. So you'd
(01:03:58):
use rebar. You could use rebarand a grinder sharpen the tip, sharpen
the tips. Okay, rebars sonice and light and easy and flexible.
You could do all kinds of crazinesswith it. Okay, So you have
that, And then I thought, what would my robe do? Hello,
dual wheeled nail guns okay, right, battery powered nail guns, oh baby,
(01:04:24):
with extra cartridges laying around. Goodluck trying to get extra battery packs.
I don't know the invasion's talking tolast that long. You know,
they're not gonna come at me.But I'm gonna have about eighty seven nails
that I you know, sixteen pennynails. Oh yeah, I love how
it's just eighty seven. But evenaround it, I'm gonna take a hundred.
Well you could do well, youknow, I might check my fanny
(01:04:45):
pack. It could hold eighty sevenextra like on your vest, you know
how you make a bandolier out likethat, you know, And then of
course, and then for your foryour mid range, I'm gonna have I
actually built like a zombie wall forjust in case they invade at home.
So I do have a sledgehammer anda large axe, but I but also
(01:05:10):
uh, hatchets, A simple hatchet. A couple of hatchets would be great
because you can throw them, youcan be close quarters and then once you're
past the hatchets, machetes, machetesand hatchets all the way all the time,
yep. And on the back ofthe hatchets. Oh. And then
also as a last resort would bea we just got one. It's for
(01:05:32):
your yard. It's like a minipick axe. It's a one handed pickaxe,
and on the back it has twotins that stick out like four inch
times that stick out. Oh yeah, let's do it. Um good?
All right, all right? Ilove the rebar IDEA took a spear.
(01:05:53):
You got that that that range andyou can have a zine of them laying
around and they're cheap and easy touse. M Well, let's see Chris
reply to hatchet and a burns amatictorch with striker in any good Harris saw
propelling some duct tape a flame thrower. Why did I pick a flamethrower?
You can buy a flamethrower at homedepot. Yes you can. I'm sure
(01:06:15):
they're meant for killing weeds. Yeah, but if you if you squeeze the
end of it together, it propelsa lot better. Well, there you
go, Everyboddy and some yeah, taywire and duct tape. That'd be helpful
to crypted survival tips by Parallel Punchers. When when is the book coming out?
You ask, I don't know.I just had the idea jumped to
my head. Now we gotta writea book how to survive a Crypti attack?
(01:06:40):
Nice? I like it. Ilike it. Okay, trademark could
be a picture book. And lastly, yeah, yeah, kind of the
Veins of How to Survive a ZombieApocalypse by Max Brooks, right exactly.
Last I just came across this today. There was a post. I saw
(01:07:00):
an instagram from the one and OnlyElvira, and I just thought this was
fun. It's in People magazine,Elvira says, la mansion she sold Brad
Pitt is extremely haunted, but heloved it. It'd be better she had
the article come out after he boughtit, and then it was just more
She's like, ha ha, Isold Brad Pitt on Haunted mansion, but
(01:07:26):
he's really into it. Let's seewhat she had to say about it.
I've seen people walking around upstairs, for example, real people just walking.
One time a ghost was sitting downstairsin front of the fireplace. Once walking
in my bedroom and back out.Peterson recalls of the spectral encounters. We
saw a person floating around the bottomof the pool and other things like that.
(01:07:50):
And I think she did tell hBrad that, hey man, this
is kind of haunted. He waslike, he was into it. Weird.
I figured, yeah, would youbuy well, if you have the
money to buy that mansion undred ornot whatever, and you're buying, and
you would go into it with youryou know, eyes open, knowing that
(01:08:11):
you're buying a house from Elvira,Yeah, Mistress of the Dark. But
if would you buy a house knowinglyit was haunted? Like if the person
tellings he was like, look,I'm gonna tell you everything. Weird it
happened. Here's some photos, here'ssome EVPs. Would you be like,
no, but it's just raped rightnow? They're good. H really wants
this place. It depends on likewhat happened, Like what has happened?
(01:08:35):
Right? Do you don't mind theghost? But if it was like,
uh, cult leader murdered ten ofhis followers in the dining room right.
Well, and then also like doesthe ghost like turn the TV on and
off or like, so would thatjust be super annoying? Yeah? Um
so, I don't know. Itwould depend on like what do they do?
(01:08:58):
Do they make it cold? That'scool? I wear a hoodie all
the time anyway, So can youturn the well, the ghost turn the
TV off if you leave it on? Oh yeah, you know when you
go to bed. I mean thatwould be really he were in the middle
of the movie. It keeps turningit off. Yeah yeah, h Now,
see there was back home, backin Arizona, there was a house
(01:09:19):
where a lady had passed away inher house and it wasn't a great way
to go is not the best.So most people are convinced that she's still
in the house. And this wasa while ago, and I always wonder
about situations like that, and alsoin ties back into our movie review,
would all of that need to beon the seller's disclosures because the house was
(01:09:41):
for sale? Yeah, the momwas selling the house. Would she would
she have to disclose that there wasan alien state? There's some states you
have to disclose all that kind ofinformation. Other ones you can just well,
yeah, at least sell it.Yeah, that's what I was wondering,
is if somebody dies in a houseand there's the potential for a ghost
(01:10:03):
or if there's an alien invasion likein the movie, does the real train
need to put that on the onthe the agreement. I don't know.
It could be actually a huge sellingpoint. Like you know, you're buying
a cabin out in the woods withhigh alien activity. Some people might want
that so they can go view andget photographs and video. Could actually uh
(01:10:25):
you know how you get a higheroffer. That's right, yuh. Any
realtors out there, let us know. Trust me, if I could buy
a mansion harder or not, I'dbe totally in you know what I mean.
I just just like in a PoulterGey situation, you'd be in for
that. I mean, I justmake sure it wasn't Billings the TV in
(01:10:46):
the in the east wing. Idon't worry about that one, right,
Yeah, that'd be I'd be likeenter at your own risk, Like,
well, there's like forty other roomsof this mansion. If you feel the
need to go into that, it'sit's your issue, and if you see
something at the bottom of the pool, just use the other pool. Okay,
(01:11:06):
there you go. There you haveit all right. Well that was
fun. I hope everybody had agood time. Have we made you smile
