Virginia City, NV rose as the center for silver mining with the discovery of the Comstock Lode in 1859 & became the nation’s 1st industrial city. It was a bustling city that had cultural institutions like the opera & famous residents like Mark Twain. The Washoe Club opened its doors on B Street in the Reynolds Building on June 1, 1875. It was a luxurious space filled with giant plate glass windows & bronze statuettes & was nicknamed “The Millionaire’s Club” because it was where the rich & newly rich would drink, play games, & visit with prostitutes. Less than 5 months after opening, a fire burned through downtown, destroying a good amount of Virginia City, including the Washoe Club. It didn’t take long though for the club to find a new space – the trustee board for the club settled on a 3-story building on C street that even had a saloon on the bottom floor.
The local mines began to diminish, Virginia City’s population dwindled & the Washoe Club eventually closed in 1897. Because of the cities history with cave-ins, gunfights & greedy claim jumpers, it is no surprise that the Old Washoe Club is considered to be one of the most haunted locations in the West. Bar stools move on their own, the saloon doors will mysteriously swing open for ladies that are entering, & numerous shadow figures have been spotted on the upper floors. There are several spirits that are seen & felt in the Old Washoe Club & there is one spirit who has an affinity for alcohol. If you let a full shot of Bourbon linger too long at the bar, it will mysteriously be drained, & the staff will leave a full shot before leaving at night & it will be empty in the morning.

really ever talk about, which Ialways always wonder in the saloons if they
have them, is a really kickbutt laundromat. Huh okay, well,
the top two floors are for theprostitute to do their things. So who's

doing the laundry because that's nasty.Hmmm. They're always talking about the billiard
room and it's really nice and luxuriousand opulent, but they're like, yeah,
we needed to have like seventeen haveyou ever booked a hotel in their
flyer or their website, whatever you'regonna do, we'll clean up, okay,

okay, possible business venture, Okay. Interesting, But like you were
saying, this is a millionaires club. So the club it was very exclusive,
limit to only two hundred members,you know, But the only stipulation
was at a time, no,no, you had to be a millionaire.

Was it the eighteen hundreds deer?But a millionaire in that time period?
Is that kind of like equate tolike a billionaire? And today? Because
it wasn't it around eighteen seventy five, It was about one hundred, about
one hundred years before I was born, So so Mark was around at that

be a lot more than a billion, right. So back then, if
the only stipulation was you had tobe a millionaire, you were wealthy with

the place you could probably keep winecool. So I think they were using

were keeping them cold at the bestspot the Millionaires Club to keep a dead

began to diminish. Virginia City's populationdwindled, and the clubs and the Washoe

restoration, which we all know disturbstuff. Absolutely not just just so I

there was so much. And that'swhy I say you could you could
end up playing cards, you know, trying to cheeve somebody out of cards.
People knew that there was this cryptroom down in there. You're cheating

cards whatever, and they catch youand knock you out and wrap you up
and throw you down there. You'remuffled. You can't hear anybody scream down
there, and you just die wrappedup in the death room. And that's
what happens. There's nothing but bodyis down there. How would you know?

club. There's a blonde lady ghostnamed Lena the Lady in Blue. Yeah,
she's also known as the Lady inBlue because she's wearing a blue dress.
She is seen at the top ofthe spiral staircase, which I didn't

quite understand, but I just sawsome pictures of it, and I was
like, oh my gosh, thisis like a crazy staircase like that.
Well, but it's like super tight. So spiral staircases as things go.
So my neighbors family have a spiralstaircase where it's just a super tight circle
that goes right. Yeah, it'skind of crazy. It's it's there.

a little more grand okay then,but not by much because it looked
it looked kind of I was like, oh boy, that would be difficult

In Eternity Haunting, it is believedthat Lena was a prostitute who was

suicide on the second floor. He'swalking and yes, he's how like,

not an ORB. That's just apoorly taking picture with a really long exposure.

was two other ones that that Ialso did. Bunks just looking at him
going like, okay, this isthat's somebody just flashed the light. You
know, you can see that it'sjust literally the flash from your camera.

is the tours that they have.They have a guided tour that lasts about

sixteen and under is five dollars each. And then they also have overnight investigations.

is from their website and I don'tquite understand it, but for four hundred
dollars, your group will get accessto all three floors of the Washo Club,

I didn't think it was that great. It was Damn. I wish
we could have made this documentary before. I know before Travel Channel was like,

went there in the documentary. Thisis where they got a full body apparition

The Old wash Show Club in VirginiaCity, Nevada is considered to be one

of the most haunted locations in theWest. Now, Virginia City rose as
the center for silver mining. Therewas like a huge, a huge,
huge, I know, a hugediscovery there and everybody discovery of silver and

everybody came to the area. SoI have a question before we even get
into it. It seems like,you know, when you go out to
a restaurant and they say we're we'redo the best barbecue sandwiches in America,
and then you go to another restaurantthat could be a mile away and as
they say, we do we dothe best this in America, We're the
best. It seems like that monikerhas now carried over to haunting in locations.

It's always like the most haunted.Yeah, everybody's the most haunted.
Honestly, That's what I was likewhen I saw that. I was just
like, is everybody the most haunted? There's some small category they fit into.
Well, I guess you have togo and investigate to find out the

was nothing wrong with the Ghost Adventuresoriginal documentary. No, I'm just a
little jelly that I didn't put outa video first. I didn't know Travel
Channel is going to become the GhostChannel. I know, man, miss

the Ghost Channel. Yeah, itreally should. Virginia City it was a
bustling city that had institutions like theopera, Mental No No, like a
lot of like social scene situations,and they even had famou residents like Mark
Twain. Now the Washow Club openedits doors on B Street because he was

an author for like the local paperor something that he was a writer for
the local paper. Yeah. Canyou imagine the editor of that paper being
like, yo, I got MarkTwain. Yeah, this is a yeah
he works for it was the placeto be? Was this this town?
Or did he realize that after MarkTwain died it was Mark Twain famous while

he was alive or was he Justlike, whenever I think Mark Twain,
I always think of it. Therewas a there was a Star Trek episode
with Mark Twain where he was,you know, very prolific in the community
and whatnot. I don't remember mingin Nevana though, I don't know anyway,
I digress, Yeah you did,you did digress and you threw me
off. It was the smartest soundingdigression you ever made, you think,

so, yeah, Washo Club openedits doors on B Street in the Reynolds
Building on June first, eighteen seventyfive. It was a luxurious space filled
with giant plate glass windows and bronzestatuettes and was nicknamed the Millionaire's Club.

It became where the rich and newlyrich would drink, play games, and
visit with prostitute money. Money money. So less than five months after opening,
a fire burned through downtown, destroyinga good amount of Virginia City.

A coal oil lamp was knocked overin a boarding house and thirty three blocks
of structures, including the wash ShoeClub, was destroyed. Now, it
didn't take very long for the clubto find a new space. The trustee
board that was part of the club. They settled on a three story building
on C Street. They even hadus. Nobody in this town is creative

with street. No street street probablylike one two three were the cross C
two, you know right? Sothis this location, uh, there was
a saloon on the bottom floor andthen the top two floors consisted of the

club. So they they created theirnew headquarters to be even more elegant than
the previous location. There were theMillionaires Club. Yes, they had eight
apartments, a reading room in theshape of a grand piano, a billiard's
room, a wine room, andthey also featured a reporting telegraph that would

provide the latest stock market news tomembers. But you know what they don't
really ever talk about, which Ialways always wonder in the saloons if they
have them, is a really kickbutt laundromat. Huh okay, well,
the top two floors are for theprostitute to do their things. So who's

doing the laundry because that's nasty.Hmmm. They're always talking about the billiard
room and it's really nice and luxuriousand opulent, but they're like, yeah,
we needed to have like seventeen haveyou ever booked a hotel in their
flyer or their website, whatever you'regonna do, we'll clean up, okay,

okay, possible business venture, Okay. Interesting, But like you were
saying, this is a millionaires club. So the club it was very exclusive,
limit to only two hundred members,you know, But the only stipulation
was at a time, no,no, you had to be a millionaire.

Wow. Yeah, Now, andwhat year we checked that out.
Was it the eighteen hundreds deer?But a millionaire in that time period?
Is that kind of like equate tolike a billionaire? And today? Because
it wasn't it around eighteen seventy five, It was about one hundred, about
one hundred years before I was born, So so Mark was around at that

time. Well, I was justthinking, yeah, you're right, it'd
be a lot more than a billion, right. So back then, if
the only stipulation was you had tobe a millionaire, you were wealthy with
af as kids say, yes,So there's only one main entrance for all

the respectable club members to come andgo, but but two secret rear Yeah
huh, exits I guess, Ibet, I bet where prostitutes or unruly
patreons could be removed quietly and discreetly. So some back doors to check out

the drunks or the prostitutes can goout. So nobody ever knew that the
millionaires were in there doing millionaire stuffstuff. Yea with a monocle, drinking
cigars brandy. Yeah, they're twistingtheir while upstairs. Coming in the back
door, we're all the host whoawow, what a word. Let's not

unpacked. That statement prostitutes, youknow, the world's oldest profession. Now,
there was also one room that wasin the building that I think they
called it the back crypt, thecrypt, yes, and that's that was
used to hold dead body bodies inwinter because they couldn't get into the ground

because they couldn't dig. Yeah,they could dig up six foot hole.
I mean, my question is,how many dead bodies do you think they
were? I thought I read theywere stacked like seven bodies high or even
more. They like they were stackingthem like just like laying on top of
each other. Like, yeah,somebody was in there doing tetris like things
with these dead bodies making them fitin there. I got this arm,

you know, get it in there. That's amazing. Yeah. And it's
like where they were they I'm assumingthey were all clued. I'm assuming that
assuming I saw photos what No,no, online they had them all wrapped
like in shrouds. They're all wrappedup. Okay, okay, okay,
so they were like I gotcha,Okay, thank god. I was just

thinking, like dead bodies laid aroundlike cold. No. I assume they
did their best to be as respectful, uh to the dead bodies as they
could, because again it was asituation like just you gotta wait till the
spring, right Yeah. Well no, I mean this is a mining community,
so I'm sure there's a lot ofaccidents, but also there's like gunfights

and cloth there's a lot going onthere. I wonder what I can't watch
it, what the smell would like? Well, no, it was the
crypt was like you know, lookingat some of the pictures, I assumes
the place you could probably keep winecool. So I think they were using
it because well, if it wasunderground and it maintains probably like a I

think there might have been some owner. But I feel like it was they
were keeping them cold at the bestspot the Millionaires Club to keep a dead
body. Probably not the only deadbody laying around that Millionaire's Club. If
all the movies I watch served me, well, there could be some live
bodies that were, you know,in case and whatever I'm thrown down in

there to die. They would havenot known anyway, the local minds they
began to diminish. Virginia City's populationdwindled, and the clubs and the Washoe
Club eventually closed in eighteen ninety seven. The Saloon on The bottom level of

the club continued to operate, butthe second and third floors they sat empty
for I mean decades, so they'rejust like in a time capsule. Wow,
well they probably left them. I'mtrying to think of, Like,
Okay, so if you're going toabandon floors, you don't know what's gonna
happen. You're just about your dayto day whatnot, and you're just like,

you know what, let's close theseguys up. So that means that
they left them as is and thenjust locked those rooms up, locked the
floors up, so you could gointo them, you know, years after
the fact, and it would belike a time capsule that are there dust
on everything? Right? School veryworn? Yeah? So and ghosts that

you awaken when you Well, here'sthe thing. The building is constantly undergoing
restoration, which we all know disturbstuff. Absolutely not just just so I
feel like that might be why it'sYeah, but also there was a lot.

There was a lot going on duringthe Silver Mind craze. So yeah,
there was so much. And that'swhy I say you could you could
end up playing cards, you know, trying to cheeve somebody out of cards.
People knew that there was this cryptroom down in there. You're cheating

cards whatever, and they catch youand knock you out and wrap you up
and throw you down there. You'remuffled. You can't hear anybody scream down
there, and you just die wrappedup in the death room. And that's
what happens. There's nothing but bodyis down there. How would you know?
Mm hmmm. It probably wasn't underthe greatest security because they're all dead.

Did you just fart? No?That was that? It sounded like
I thought it was. It wasa nice one. You're trying to like,
Sorry the listeners get to hear that, like you're trying to like act
like nothing happened, nor squeaky crocksyour bench. Okay, Okay, it
would be I would have been proudabout it too. So anyway, there

are quite a few ghosts that arespirits that are kind of residents of the
club. There's a blonde lady ghostnamed Lena the Lady in Blue. Yeah,
she's also known as the Lady inBlue because she's wearing a blue dress.
She is seen at the top ofthe spiral staircase, which I didn't

quite understand, but I just sawsome pictures of it, and I was
like, oh my gosh, thisis like a crazy staircase like that.
Well, but it's like super tight. So spiral staircases as things go.
So my neighbors family have a spiralstaircase where it's just a super tight circle
that goes right. Yeah, it'skind of crazy. It's it's there.

Do it to conserve room. Ofcourse, this was a little bit bigger,
a little more grand okay then,but not by much because it looked
it looked kind of I was like, oh boy, that would be difficult
to go up and down. Shedidn't sound like she fell down and stuck.
In Eternity Haunting, it is believedthat Lena was a prostitute who was

murdered in a third floor bedroom.Now it's also believed that her murderer committed
suicide on the second floor. He'swalking and yes, he's how like,
how screwed up is that? Sothat's pretty your murderer. He kills you
on the third floor, and thenhe goes down the second floor kills himself,

and you're both trapped in this attorneyI know, uh, this repeating
situation in the wash Show Club WashShow. That's pretty that's pretty messed up.
I know well, and in Imean at any time period in our
history, even I mean now thenwhenever people have some pretty strange kinks.

And these prostitutes were front line.Do I need to hit it? Do
I need a button? I undersaying that these these these the workers that
were there were frontline for dealing withthat. That was what they did.
There were prostitutes. So somebody couldhave been into something that was way terrible

can't live with myself, but Igotta stay here. Or there's a lot
of strange stuff throughout all of time. And to know that there's prostitutes and
there's dead bodies down in the cryptthing, I just I see that as
a recipe for just some and theMillionaires Club, for just a recipe for
some really weird stuff happening. Allright. You know that's interesting. So

you're saying, that's building this recipefor inviting maybe whatever something there could be
a little bit more disturbing. Therecould be devil worshiping, there could be
all kinds of just right. Soone of the rooms in the at the
wash Show is Room twelve, alsoreferred to as the Red Room. Now

this is reprobably also being called thedemonic Spirit Room. I'm telling you it's
it's there. This is a roomwhere people go in they feel like,
definitely like a dark, negative energy, and supposedly up to twenty six people
have been scratched in the scratch scratcheswill manifest in their body, whether to

like people doing it like a ghost, yeah, trying to do an EVP
session, They'll be scratched twenty six, verified by the one person that works
there. I saw this on someYouTube videos or was it Did they get
a refund thost adventures. They probablyget a refund. That's what it is,
what they signed up for. Iwas going to say that, isn't

that what you want? Right?I don't know. There's a line to
get crossed. So it is interestingthat you know, you're saying like maybe
everything is transpired is drawing in money, dark entities that want to chill here,
because like, hey, yeah,the the the I would just imagine
that when you add money and peopleof that time who were millionaires, and

and you have the situation where there'sa saloon, there's a lot of drinking,
there's processes upstairs, that it's ait's a house if you could do
whatever you want, and the prostituteswill let you do whatever you want because
that's what you're into, and that'swhat they're getting paid for, and according
to what they think. But theydon't they might not know that to do
what you need to do is waydown beyond just having a little bit of

I think their recipes for just reallypotentially really bad stuff, you know,

transpire there was attracting dark it wasit is it is. I thought you

have been people up like demonic thingsand doing satanic stuff in there, and

it's a recipe for everything that youdon't really want to hear about or think

teenage girl that is seen in thebasement, and it is believed that that
is probably where she passed away oryou know, met her demise. There
is a ghost of a little girlin a white dress who is scared that

the daughter of one of the prostitutes. Possibly, you know, yeah,
I know. Now. Some havereported being touched or grabbed by small,
unseen hands and and they honestly feellike it's probably her. They just can't
see her, like I think they'relike grabbing her hand. That they're going

on the stairs walking with somebody holdingonto their hand right now. No,
I don't want that. That wouldbe'd be pretty freaky. So also there
is the spirit of a prospector whoif you leave your shot of bourbon sitting

on the bar too long, shalldrink it? Well, the spirit might
it moves it around and then alsosteals the drink. Yeah, where's it?
If he's drinking it, where's itgoing. I don't know. That's
a good question. That's that's thelogistical question. That's that's a that's a
really good question that I thought about. Totally assumed you thought about that.

I haven't come up with an answeryet, because, yeah, because it
can a shot of bourbon be absorbedinto a ghost's body, I don't.
I don't know, because if not, then it's gonna end up on the

the bar. Oh, that's verygentlemanly, right. And numerous shadow for
years have been spotted and recorded onthe upper floors. So okay, But
now now I thought the floor twoor three were Are they still locked or
can you go up there and doyour investigations? Well, yeah, now
they have they have ghost to soI thought that they were still They were

locked for so long that I guessthe only way to get up there now
is the tour. Well, Iassume like anything, like you want to
go up there, it'll cost yousome money. Yeah, I guess you're
right, Shadow Burb. Now,I also did find orbs orbits, you

So I was going through and Ifound some pictures and they were talking
about, you know, lots oforbs flying around and whatnot. And so
I saw these pictures and I thought, these are just poorly taking pictures.
They're there there, there could bean ORB, but these are the pictures

that I saw. One was likea time lapse photography, a photo of
somebody like walking and turning. Youcould see the skin tone. And they're
like it's an old fake and Iwas like, yeah, no, that's
not an ORB. That's just apoorly taking picture with a really long exposure.
There were debunked, Yeah, thatpicture was debunked. There was There

was two other ones that that Ialso did. Bunks just looking at him
going like, okay, this isthat's somebody just flashed the light. You
know, you can see that it'sjust literally the flash from your camera.
But there was a couple that Iwas like, Okay, that might not
be. I didn't see any mirrorsaround. I didn't see anything else,
so maybe who knows. I don'tknow. But there have been reports of

light orbs floating around and they're alsoso I'm on the fence on that one.
Yeah, I feel like Ghost Adventureswhen they were there, they had
a couple of orbs cruising around,some weird, some kind of like feely
you could de bonk it. Butthere's definitely some there's stuff going on there.

Yeah. I wasn't too wild aboutabout the light orbs. But the
scratch orbs, I bet you do. I bet you do. No,

Gettysburg, we heard somebody walking aroundon the second floor when there was no

all heard it to gay, right. We don't know what it was,
but it happened. So yeah,at the Washo Club, this is the
norm. They hear people walking aroundwhen there's no one upstairs, doors slamming,
like it just seems to be ahotbed. Yeah, that's what they

call them, a hotbed hotbeds,hotbeds room one and two. That the
millionaires were like, yo, bro, going up to hotbed number one,
go get checked out number one.It's lovely freaking millionaires. That's my voice
of if I'm a millionaire, diabolical. Yeah, it's very very twisty of

the mustache. Yes, yeah.Uh. The only thing I have left
is the tours that they have.They have a guided tour that lasts about
forty minutes in length. They dothis seven days a week, and each
tour includes three three floors, soall three floors. Yes, children are

five dollars each, adults ten dollars, so it's it's pretty sure free now
sixteen and under is five dollars each. And then they also have overnight investigations.
Well, sure, it's your overnightinvestigation. That's overnight. Yeah,

so they have The Millionaire's Club isnow available for overnight investigations. And this
is from their website and I don'tquite understand it, but for four hundred
dollars, your group will get accessto all three floors of the Washo Club,
the crypt as well as the spiralstaircase. All that know, Club,

I know. All that has requiredis that each member of your group
becomes a basic member of the WashoClub Restoration Project at the twenty dollars level.
So it's not just four hundred dollars, it's everybody and then we all
kick in twenty right. Yeah,that I found it confusing, But Triple

know I would do this. Iwould go out to Virginia City, Nevada.
Check this place out. There's alot of videos out there and people
