Health Cafe where your Pet has a Voice. And here's
your host, Bill the Pet Health Guru.
Speaker 2 (00:41):
And welcome to the Pet Health Cafe, the Show where
your Pet has a Voice. This is Bill the Pet
Health Guru with another exciting edition of the Pet Health Cafe.
I got a lot of stuff to go over with
you tonight. I'm a little bit fired up on this
topic because it hits home with every pet that's out
there and every pet that's out there, and of course
(01:02):
I'm trying to get a message across that we have
to be very, very diligent in doing the best we
can for our animals because they don't have a voice.
That's why this show is here to give them a
voice so that you know really what we need to
be doing. As always, I want you to share this
with as many people as you can. Go ahead and
(01:22):
hit that share button. Now, get your you know your
crew's all listening in. Your team's listening in because this
is an important message. Go ahead and subscribe so that
you get this every single week, and of course let's
like it so we keep the algorithms going up and
you know, get a better, better audience every single week,
(01:44):
which were growing nicely. And the more people that listen,
the healthier those pets are going to be, the healthier
those people are going to be. The chat room will
be open or is open actually, and I look forward
to your comments. One of the things that I wanted
to bring up so that you can do it on
the chat if you want, is challenge me if you've
(02:07):
got questions, if you've heard different things, because that's the
only way that we're going to get the proper message
out there. And with that being said, I sai, I'm
a little figured up on this one. And if you
saw the topic for today, it's basically disease or not.
You know, why is it that certain people, certain animals
(02:30):
never get sick, aren't following medical advice, aren't taking any
kind of medications, and yet live happy, healthy lives. And
yet so many people and so many animals around all
kinds of medications, and we just go from what seems
to be one disease to the next with the shortened lifespan,
and it's a travesty that this is even happening, and
(02:55):
it's happening for a reason that I'm going to get
into here in a lot of detail. And that's why
I would love some questions coming in and that sort
of thing. If you're out there, even just say hih,
that's always well received. The first question I want to
ask is when and where did the idea that health
(03:17):
must come from and can only come from medication. One
hundred and fifty two hundred years ago, there was not
this plethora of medications. Vaccines were unheard of, Preventions were
not available. We lived our lives, our animals lived their
lives in a much more natural state, and that state
(03:40):
was one of health. How was that possible? Obviously, you know,
one of the things you have to look at as well,
is one hundred and fifty years ago, even one hundred
years ago, one hundred and fifty years ago, ninety percent
of the foods that are available to us and to
our pets were not available in the store. They were
not even being considered. It's kind of a sign of
(04:03):
the times if you will that it's made our life
more convenient. You just walk down that supermarket aisle, you
pick up a bag of kibble, you buy some cans,
you buy cereal for yourself, go to the frozen food
aisle and pick up a couple of pre made meals
and hit the check out and go home. And everything
(04:25):
is quick and easy, except to stay healthy. That time
that you lost going to the doctor being sick was
right there when you were in the supermarket. You could
have taken that extra five minutes to pick out the
better foods. You could take that extra half hour at home,
fix yourself a good healthy meal and eliminate so much,
(04:48):
so much stress, so much illness. And it's very very important.
I want to thank people that have that have already
commented in that they're sharing and spreading the word and
liking it's so so important. But one of the things
that goes along with this topic of medicine is when
every body does something strange. When your pet acts a
(05:09):
little bit off, are they really sick, are they really
have a disease, or is that just the body responding
in a proper and precise way to a threat that's
being made. I had a case last week, started last
week or the first part of this week, where a
(05:32):
dog owner with multiple dogs to the dogs ate a
particular entree and within fifteen minutes became ill. And I
assume that that meant that they vomited, and then for
the next several days had clear diarrhea every fifteen minutes. Well,
first off, it sounds a little bit like an exaggeration,
(05:55):
but when we stop and think about it, Okay, in
the first fifteen minutes, that food has not been processed
through that stomach. There was something in that body already
that the food acted as a transport system to get out. Normally,
when I questioned owners on this kind of stuff, I
find that there's a certain amount of mucus mucoidal substances
(06:19):
that comes up with the food. Basically, the body is
tying that up and getting rid of it in an
express way. Now, where did the mucus come from? Obviously
they were exposed to some sort of toxin. Where in
the yard, on the walk, in the house, household chemicals.
Was it that day, was it the day before, or
did it accumulate over the last week. You really haven't
(06:42):
any idea as a precaution with what we do at
my palaeopet and biocomplete. We immediately asked for batch numbers
that are on all the entrees, all the treats, all
the herbs, so that we have traceability, and went in
and pulled the samples that we have from that particular
batch of food, got it out, and honestly, I brought
(07:06):
it home, set it out of my counter for several hours,
just to maximize what could have possibly happened in a
client's home. Open it up. No smell, no unusual smell,
no odor of breaking down, bad food. Appearance was consistent
with what we do. Bet it to my pet. We
(07:27):
always do that if we think there might be a problem,
And at this moment in time, it's twenty four hours
later with no sort of gastrol problems, no vomits, no diarrhea,
just normal life. So we know that it wasn't the
food directly, but there is that challenge that we don't
know what was indirect in the household, in the environment
(07:50):
around them, And that's what the scary part is. I
had a conversation today this morning with the another client
that when the dog gets up in the morning, it
kind of has like this hacking one veterinarian described it
as a reverse sneeze, but just that couple of coughs
when a dog gets up and moving around, everything seems
(08:12):
to go away. Well, we know, and I know today
that the challenges that we see today were not even
on the radar when I started in the business fifty
five years ago. We didn't have all this coughing, this hacking,
these respiratory problems. We did not have all the gas
forrik problems, We did not have all the allergy problems.
(08:32):
We did not have the skin and itch type problems,
the hotspots. I mean, you might occasionally, but that was
a rarity, and that wasn't really until commercial dog food
started to pop up more and more and more, because
back when I was a kid, our pets got what
ate what we ate. And yes, I know you're going
to tell me that, you know my preaching today about
(08:54):
them being pretty much a pure carnivore, that that was
not a carnivore diet that they were getting back then,
but it was a lot more of one than we
do today. I have to remember back in the fifties
and even in the sixties, when our dogs got what
was leftovers from us or part of a meal that
was cooked. Those meals were cooked in beef tallow or
(09:18):
pork lard, basically carnivore type oils if they were cooked
or playing clean water, which we don't have today either.
When we started using vegetable oils, everything changed, and these
seed oils are one of the biggest issues that we
see in that health industry. So now when a body
(09:40):
responds to something that's wrong, is that a disease, is
that an illness or is it just the body doing
its job? If medicine was the cure all, if that
was necessary for health, why are there any wild creatures
left on earth? They get no medication, They don't get
any of these preventions, including things like for rabies and
(10:03):
distemper you know, pan leukemia and cats. They don't get
those protective measures. But yet a big threat in a
lot of cities is feline overpopulation. Shouldn't those animals all
be dead because they were not protected. We have to
use a little bit of common sense here, and I
(10:24):
know common sense isn't necessarily common in and it happens
to be one of the greatest arguments that I profess,
But wildlife should all be wiped out or at least
pretty much wiped out because of disease. Now, we have
seen diseases run rampant in different wildlife situations, but even
our wildlife today is being inundated with unnatural assaults. A
(10:47):
forest comes down with a problem, disease in the trees, landowners,
government take action and they spray with insecticides and herbicides,
funguicides and bacte stereocides. That changes the microbiome of the
forest floor. If you kill off the bugs, there's nothing
(11:08):
to break down the dead trees, the leaf matter that
fell down, turning it into composts, which turns into natural
fertilizers which give the trees strengths. Our wildlife, our deer, elk,
bison are grazing on lands today quite often that have
been treated and replanted with GMO crops. Again, they've been
(11:30):
sprayed and fertilized with synthetics. On the East coast, the
white tailed deer has got a particular challenge because of
the lack of good habitat. They've moved into the suburbs
with you and I, and their favorite meals are your
garden plants, the flower garden, the shrubbery. Again, a lot
of these varieties are not native, they're not natural. A
(11:51):
lot of them are treated with chemicals, creating tremendous problems
in the body. And what we're seeing is not the disease.
It's not even illness. In many cases, it's just the
body responding to the assault and trying to fix itself.
On this show, you'll often hear me say vomitating diarrhea
(12:12):
nothing more than housekeeping. There's something already bad in the body,
skin rashes, same thing part of detox allergies. You're not
allergic to anything. Your dog's not allergic to any foods.
The body is trying to get rid of the chemicals
that are in those foods, and it expresses its way
in a not of different ways depending on where the
body is accumulating. It not pleasant. It creates stress. Stress
(12:35):
creates more illness and disease, or more responses that appear
to be disease. Now you also have to realize that
one of the lifelines to the body itself. Our dogs
are cats, livestock, our celves is the gut biome, that
good bacteria that helps break down our foods, allows us
(12:57):
to absorb nutrients. Without that, we can't do that. I
was looking at a study this morning that just was
published on dogs that have trouble eating bones. You know,
some dogs whenever they eat bones, they throw up, they
have diarrhea. They're not breaking it down properly. You know,
the veterinary community is all upset about it, you know,
(13:19):
telling you not to feed these even though it's a
natural substance that they would eat in the wild. It's
a necessary part of life, but they can't digest it well.
This focus, this study focused on that gut biome, and
what they found was that the biome that is necessary
to break down bones in a carnivor is found naturally
(13:42):
in the soil, in good, healthy soil, which is why
wolves and other canines will dig up bones in the
forest in the meadow and chew on them weeks and
months after that kill. They're replacing that good but gut
biome with the right to be able to digest it.
(14:03):
Our pets don't have it because most of them are
house dogs. Now, they're couch potatoes and therefore not exposed
to that diversity that they need in that gut. We're
going to be right back after this quick break.

Nice and welcome back to the Pet Health Cafe to
show where your pet has a voice. This is build
a Pet Health creroom. And again I want you to
encourage you to jump into the chat with your questions,
your comments, like share and of course uh subscribe so
(16:49):
we keep this thing going every week. Uh. This information
is very important. I think you've already given you a
little bit of an insight on tonight's show onto why
some things are healthy and who some things aren't now.
As a part of that, in past shows, I've talked about,
for instance, the importance of different vitamins and minerals in
(17:10):
the body. And we've had extensive conversations with experts on
things like copper and iron. And when they test for iron,
you know you're iron deficient, so you got to take
a supplement while they're testing the blood. And of course
the iron is in the tissue, so we actually have
iron toxicity, not a deficiency, and actually by supplementing, we're
(17:33):
creating an even worse condition. Now I was reading something
again today. Another one of those like SIMP scenarios is
vitamin D because on the human side that's being pushed
all over the place. Vitamin D deficient. Of course, you know,
we're told not to go out in the sun, so
(17:53):
we're not making as much as we normally do. However,
that's only part of the story. As we find out
what many things in the health and medical industry that
these deficiencies most of the time are not deficiencies. Again,
it's a body response to what's going on. Well, come
(18:14):
to find out that vitamin D is utilized in tissue
in your muscles and organs, and most cells, with the
exception of blood cells to fight inflammation. So if your
body is in or your pets body is in an
inflammatory state, it's going to be drawing that vitamin D
(18:37):
out of the blood when that blood test is done.
Guess what it's problematic. Those of you who have followed
me over the last twenty five years of doing this
kind of work, and even well before that when I
was working in the grooming and the regular whole you
(19:00):
veterinarian pet arenas that we overuse testing immensely. We rely
on it as almost biblical that the blood test says this.
And actually when you look at what your test results are,
if you've got a patent, you can take him in
(19:21):
and he's not feeling well and they're running blood work
and your analysis things of that nature. And how many
of you out there have gotten back that response that
everything looks okay, we have no idea what's causing this.
After you spend one thousand dollars, we'll give you some antibiotics,
we'll give you a steroid, we'll give you, you know,
(19:41):
some sort of medication that may or may not help
more on the bill, or we can send you for
more testing. You know, We'll send you to a specialist
in neurologist, I guess are an in colleges, you know
a you know any number of specialties which will run
(20:02):
more sophisticated tests and come back with the same result,
an empty wallet and no solutions for your pet. It's
very frustrating because what are we really doing. We're chasing numbers.
We're not chasing symptoms. We're not correcting. We're not providing
the body with the tools it needs. We're chasing the
numbers game. Vitamin level is down, Let's give a supplement.
(20:26):
It doesn't necessarily raise it. But also if it does
raise it, it doesn't mean it's handling the problem. It
may be creating an artificial shift. This is true with
the vitamin D. So because it's synthetic, the body is
not using utilizing it to cure that inflammation. We're just
(20:46):
giving it to change the numbers on the blood tests.
Inflammation is still there. It's now going from acute to chronic.
It's creating more havoc in the body. It's breaking it down,
making it harder to fix itself. And in fact it's
actually also working through the filters, the liver, the kidneys,
(21:07):
the lymphatic system to filter out these synthetic vitamins and
all the other chemicals that are mixed in with them.
When you buy a vitamin D supplement, the ingredient is
not vitamin D. Look at it. It might be vitamin
D derived from something with a whole bunch of other
chemicals in there that are stabilizers and anti caking agents
(21:29):
and anti stick agents and lubricants and flavors and preservatives
that are creating more havoc than what the initial response
to the body was. So now the body is responding
to multiple threats, not a single threat anymore. So again
we have to look at what real health is and
(21:51):
how the body is supposed to work. Unfortunately, doctor Zone,
look at this now. I heard I was listening to
one of my mentors today and a short podcast that
brief that was put up and had to do with
carnivorous animals. We are told that cholesterol is bad, that
fats are bad, that they cause heart disease, heart failure,
(22:16):
arterial type problems, blockages and calcification and all that. But
why is it that carnivores in the wild show none
of these symptoms, none of them. They show healthy hearts,
healthy blood flow, you know, and we will get the
excuse on some sides of this that well, you know,
they don't live as long in the wild, you know,
(22:38):
because of just because they're not living their optimal lifespan.
But that's also be true because of the law of
the jungle. The sick, the slow that deffirmed end up
to be somewhere else's meal. It's part of the cycle
of life, you know. When it comes to canines in
the wild, wolves wolves are known to live to be
(22:59):
thirty years old. Most of the deaths in wolves are
under a year of age. And it's not from disease.
It's from predators, bigger predators, everything from hawks and owls
and eagles and man, we don't want the wolves in
our backyard, where our sheep are, where our cows are.
Can't have them around the chickens, can't have them around
(23:21):
the horses. We got to eliminate them. We've got to
keep them under control. So it's not disease. They're healthy.
Not all of them are in the same state of health.
I mean, let's take a look at it. Let's take
a look at that litter of wolf pups. Some are
better eaters than others some grew up healthier in the womb,
better blood supply, better blood flow. And this is in
(23:41):
a wild state. Now, let's take a look at our
animals in the pet realm. We've screwed up our moms
and dads. Those breeding dogs have been shot up with
all kinds of preventions, been given, all kinds of supplements,
bad food in many cases. And then we expect healthy pops.
Same thing with kittens, even to become more and more
(24:03):
true in horses and cattle chickens, and of course we're
looking for certain breed characteristics. On top of that, some
of these breed characteristics are not for health. There's no
way that a frenchier a pug could ever a run
down any kind of food source like a wolf, and
that's not built for running. And if they were able
(24:25):
to catch something, they have a facial structure that would
now would barely allow them to even hold onto that prey.
We have artificial animals, and then we complicate it with
all these chemicals, these chemical poisons, and we wonder why
they're not working right. You know. Even the problem with
parasites is something that's very very near and dear to
(24:49):
so many pet owners. Fleas and ticks, and the thread
of lime disease, and you know other parasites, worms, capeworms, heartworms,
all of that sort of thing. Is it really what
it is? Is it really worth a challenge to ruin
their health? I saw a great comment they're asking you
(25:11):
about artificial animals. Basically, these are animals that we have bread,
not necessarily for function, but some of them for function.
We want our beef cattle to be beef heer. We
want our chicken to have big breasts. We want our
dogs to be pretty, and we'll discuss this more after
this quick break.
Speaker 3 (25:37):
We all want our pets to be as healthy as possible.

Speaker 2 (27:10):
Here on the Pet Health Caffat to show where your
pet has a voice. This is build the Pedalth Guru.
And again share, like and subscribe, put your comments in
the chat room. And yes, these artificial animals. Basically, it's
a lot like our food today. Most of our food
is artificial. You can't find wild broccoli in the forest
(27:31):
or in this you know, anywhere out there. Actually, if
you think about almost all of our garden crops, they're
all what we would consider to be annuals. You have
to plant them new every year because they're not natural
in the wild. We have to artificially grow them, which
means they're not filled with natural nutrients like we thought
they were. We've been lied to. And of course our
(27:54):
animals are the same way. Like I say, those chickens
that we breed specially so that they go to market
in eight weeks time with huge breasts because the wings
are Okay, that was, you know, peasant food for a
long time until my home city of Buffalo made them
a you know, kind of a gourmet thing. When you
(28:14):
look at the marketing that's behind it. Okay, chicken breast
is supposed to be one of the healthiest, healthier meats,
but yet it's also got the highest amount of bad fats.
We'll make a sixes of all the meat choices. Again marketing,
and of course this is creating challenges and distress, dis
(28:38):
ease if you will, on the body. Now, you know,
the challenge that we have today and that I have
especially is you know, we now have all these so
called celebrity doctors and vets on all over the internet.
You know, they're all talking about a lot of the
things that I brought up twenty years ago when I
first started doing podcasting before, you know, I started doing
(28:58):
podcasting when there weren't podcast back then. It was internet radio.
And you know, that whole term has changed. Of course,
we've gone and moved along too with the video format.
But you know, they say a couple of things that
you like, and all of a sudden you're a follower
and you're believing everything. But are they still looking at
the whole body? Are they looking at the whole picture?
(29:19):
Are they going to give you the advice that I've
just given you? Probably not. You know, we're also led
by the medical community to think that doctors and veterinarians
can make the body and our life better through their
techniques and their drugs. Cosmetic surgery, good example, that's altering
the body from its natural form. Now, are there certain
(29:42):
defects that we could have, certain injuries that we could
have that would require this, Absolutely, But how much of
that is really done in the name of health? You know,
you know, guess er bypass for overweight people, it doesn't
last because the lifestyle hasn't changed, and that processed food
with those hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of chemicals in it,
(30:04):
are contributing to that problem of obesity and we can't
get away from it. It's also in our air, in
our water, and all our cleaning products, our laundry detergents.
It's around us, the building materials we use. Had client
today that said that their animal was acting a little
bit weird. They did a remodeling job. Oh but we
finished it two months ago. That animal was totally stressed
(30:26):
out during that whole remodel, and those fumes from that
paint and the glues and the cleaning solvents that they
had to use during that process are still lingering, not
only in the environment, but in their pets body and
inclin in fact in their body as well. Now I
want you to take a look at something else and
how nature really provides for some of this stuff. I
(30:47):
want to take a look at the parasite problem that
I mentioned just before we went to the break. Let's
look at ticks. We're all worried about lime disease. So
we have to have a nuclear option to eliminate ticks
from our animals and from ourselves. We're all looking for
that repellent that does really does not exist. Seen dogs
(31:08):
over my career come in. They've been out in the field,
out in the woods with their owners come in and
you look at their feet, take them into the grooming shop.
Groomer finds literally hundreds hundreds of ticks what we call
seed ticks baby ticks on the paws, in between the toes.
(31:28):
And with all of that, if you did nothing for
one week, ninety nine percent of those would be gone.
They would die naturally. At the end of that week,
you might find one or two adult ticks on your
animal that you can remove that have gorged themselves on
your pets blood, the blood meal, two maybe three. You
(31:48):
won't find a thousand. You won't find them covered in
all these ticks because number one, the body is repelling
them naturally. Even that blood meal that that tick is
getting is full of antibodies, natural antibodies, anti parasitic compounds
of the body makes so you remove them. Do you
need that prevention for lime disease? Probably not. How many
(32:12):
ticks in nature actually carry the spirit heat in lime disease?
And of those that do, how many live long enough
to pass it along. Do we know whether those spirit
keets that parasite isn't is not killing the tick itself?
(32:33):
No research in that heartworms. We know the same thing
with heartworms. That it's one species of mosquito. It's actually
a fairly rare species of mosquito that carries the heartworm
larvae that will carry them. We know that that dog
has got to be a bit multiple times with infected mosquitoes.
Mosquitoes don't like hare. Your dog is covered in it.
(32:55):
That's why you're never bit on the top of your
head by a mosquito. It's not the hairspray, don't worry about.
I mean, that's probably a repellent, but that's not the
reason why you're not bit under your top of your head.
The mosquitoes can't get down to your skin there, and
they can't get down to the skin on most dogs
except for maybe the inner thigh. Once that larva passes
into the blood on that one in a billion mosquito,
(33:18):
it has got to take a six month journey through
the bloodstream, dodging every antibody that the body throws at it.
If the body is healthy, not going to be an issue.
The body is going to kill it itself. But yet,
in the name of preventing this, we literally are poisoning
our animals with toxic chemicals. And one of the big
(33:41):
things that we're seeing in symptomology. That is showing the
result of this is the growing number of pets that
have seizures. And yet people that have seizure animals are
searching all over for foods and drugs and any method
possible to stop the seizure, including medications that actually cause
(34:06):
seizures more instead of looking at building that strong immune
system through good food, good clean, species appropriate diets in
the natural form. Well raised on a species appropriate diet,
that meat and that carnivore is going to allow that
animal its own productive or its own protective shell, which
(34:27):
is why so many animals never get this stuff when
they're on a species appropriate diet. But that those that
are medically compliant going to their practitioners every six months,
every twelve months, always have large veterinary bills. The medicine's
not helping. Medicine is not designed to cure anything. It's
(34:49):
about symptom management. Your goal as a pedalnerve is to
prevent it through building up that immune system. And we
can do it. We have the technology, we know the methods.
