Hello, what's up, guys.Welcome to our very first ma hollow Hollo

(00:28):
and then some episode. I'm yourhost, Tony Lopez, along with my
co host, Miss mc lefloved everybody. Hope everybody's having a fantabulous day.
So excited, right, I'm excited, you're excited. This is such a
blessing to be here on air onPHLB Radio. Thank you so much for
giving us an opportunity to have aplatform to just talk it up, Yes,

(00:52):
talk it up about the Filipino community, whatever's going on in our in
our world, share in Las Vegas. We want to share good energy with
you guys, good vibes and justyou know, good stories, whether they're
talents, businesses and services, andyou know, basically everything that's going on
in our little world here, Hollo, elv and then some So before we

(01:14):
get started, I want to makesure that you guys know who we are,
because you know, you want tolisten to people that you're familiar with
and you know, get to knowus a little bit better. So Palopa,
Miss mc lea lefs, let's talkhow did we first meet? Let's
introduce them to how our relationships started. Well, I know that it's it
was like, you know, there'slike I believe there's that saying, you

(01:34):
know what through there all though tragediesand things happen, there's always beauty that
rises from the ashes. And ina sense, and that when that thing
happened, in the tragedy that happened, the fire in Lahina in Maui,
when that happened, I know thatwe as a community here in Las Vegas
wanted to rally together and Tony Iwas trying to find out a way to

(01:55):
how to how to help. Andat the same time, Tony, you
were actually looking for a way toand or organizing how to how we can
as a community can come together andhelp. And you worked that seventy two
hours, got that love for theaHina event happening. And I saw that
and I wanted to be a partof it. I reached out to our
brother Bounce, Bounced Cruise and thenactually you found me. So I don't

(02:16):
know how you actually found me,and then I found you. It was
meant to be. It was definitelymeant to be. I feel like you
know, when you're in search ofsomething, you pray about it long enough,
and you know you just wait andsit still. It comes to you
naturally and organically. I don't wantto force you know, those relationships and
connections, right, and when Ireached out to you, you are already

(02:37):
in kind of like the mode oflike, hey, I want to help
out. So long story short,we were just connected. We spoke on
the phone, we vibed, weyou know, got to know each other
rather quickly. Yeah, met,We did some promos and we broke bread
and here we are. Yeah,we have our show and we're able to
you know, share our story witheveryone else. And by the way,
you know the Maui Strong event thatdid take place at Container Park. Yes,

(03:01):
we want to encourage everybody, ifyou're listening, to continue to donate
and really show your love for Leahina. We just finished another Broke the Mouth
fundraiser at Verna Costeira, which MCPSwas also a huge part of. So
you know, it's an ongoing effortto really help our community, whether it's

(03:22):
locally or you know, overseas. So yeah, because especially because you know,
Las Vegas is known as the NinthIsland, and so it's very important,
you know, especially for the islanders, those who have moved here from
We're looking for an avenue to showsupport. And so thank you sister Tony,
because she really helped organize the firstone. And then of course also

(03:43):
she was she doesn't want to sayit, but she was vital to the
second one. She was actually helpingorganize. But she, you know,
alongside with a great committee of peoplethat came together people. Thank you guys.
It's definitely a blessing. And nowwe have this opportunity to just come
together cultures as well, not justthe Ninth Island, but as the Filipino
culture, and as we celebrate enteringthis month Asian Heritage, Filipino American History

(04:09):
Month. Filipino. Yes, youknow that's everybody. I think everyone's connected
to a Filipino. If you wentto the hospital, saw nurse, you
probably had a Filipino nurse. Soyou're connected, right. And now we're
family, So we're just we're kindof stuck together so forever. Absolutely,
And to add onto the Mahalow Hollowfamily, I want to introduce you.
You already know her. She isan amazing talent. She's not just a

(04:31):
model. She is a singer, that's a business woman and just an amazing
community advocate. Her name is MICHAELA. Welcome her back to the show,
because I'm on HERSI all right onthis show. I don't go by Mikayla.
My stage name is Chiuahwah. CallMICHAELA. Where'd you come from?

(04:58):
From the heavens? That's right?Where did I come from? Well,
let's talk about how you and Imet, so then we can kind of
come closer goal you know, howdid we meet? Actually, Tony was
looking for me too. I didlook for you, and I found you.
Kuyah G was the one I remember. I was literally I was in
a meeting and usually kuyah G doesn'tcall me, like back to back,

(05:20):
back to back. I was like, what is this guy? He called
me? MICHAELA. He's you're theone that this guy is trusting his life.
Answer me in jail? What isMICHAELA gonna do? What? I
got to roll up with? Butyeah, he called me and I finally
answered after like the third or fourthfifth call. Girl, he called for

(05:43):
you, okay, and then he'slike, hey, are you still singing?
In my head? I'm like, whoa, what do you mean?
You don't just really stop singing andstuff? But anyways, I guess you
were looking for a local singer.I haven't met you yet, but he
was saying that, well, there'ssome mandy named Tony. They're doing a
and they're looking for local singers. So during that time I was singing at
like different restaurants and different hotels. So that's her talent. Okay, all

(06:13):
ready for all this. So duringthat time, Tony and I I really
don't even remember how we exactly met. Oh yeah, yeah, yeah,
we went to Hollo. Oh yeah, yeah, so I called you,
she said, I call her first. She was looking for technically than you.

(06:36):
You wanted me. Okay, damnit, I found you though.
Okay, anyway, it's fast forwardbringing my eagle over here. So anyways,
mahallow hollow happens, and I thinkI was supposed to sing. Oh,
and I did sing, and thenthat was the first mahallow right.
And then I think we were doingappearance for Fabulous Pageants. So I had

(06:59):
the Beauty Queen's up there and thenwhat she didn't know is I was watching
her and I was like, she'sgonna be on my team. Oh girls,
we crying, don't cry, I'mnot gonna cry. You want?

(07:21):
So yeah, we did that, and yeah, that was the beauty of
it. And then she started followingme. I think I followed her,
and then I guess, uh,five counts later we started following all the
different counts each other. So justso you know, if you think you're
gonna block one of our accounts,we are watching you. Aunt. I

(07:43):
am the lurking queen. Honey,I will know your background before you even
knew your background background check. Wellyeah, so anyway, that was the
long, long version and mental dam. In short, my Kayla is a
vital part of what is happening inthe community. Not only is she the

(08:05):
brand ambassador for Ahern Hotel, whichis our sponsor for Mahala Hollo this wonderful
time around, she is also advocatingfor young women in the fashion industry and
making sure that all of that isyou know, directed correctly, with dignity
and all that. And yes, yeah, so anyway, girls, what's
going on? Mahala Hollo October twentyeighth, twelve to eight, Downtown Container

(08:28):
Park. We are so excited tobe bringing you back another mahalal Hollow.
You know why, because it issuch a good day. We can share
good sunshine, good music, goodfood, good people, good energy.
Who are we expecting? Who arewe expecting to us? Well, we
have miss Palpa is going to behosting for the very worst time. Pulling

(08:56):
on Mikaela. Sometimes you have thatgirl come up here and tell us something,
don't you want to know? Shouldbe like, girl, I'm really
excited. Tell us about what youare looking forward to this time around.
Well, I'm looking forward. It'sgonna be my first time at mahalal Hollow.
Yeah, yeah, and I'm goingto looking forward to just coming together.

(09:16):
I love Downtown Container Park when wehosted the Mali fundraiser there, what
a beautiful venue for people to cometogether. It's I believe it's going to
be nice and cool. There's goingto be beautiful music, celebration of art,
both with music as well as performances. And then of course you have
all these beautiful vendors that are comingout together and just the time of sharing.

(09:37):
I love it that you already had. What is it the third or
the fourth? Is this the thirdyear? Also be the third third mahalal
Hollow, Yes, so and threeand many more to come. So I'm
looking really looking forward to just sharingonce again with the community of Las Vegas.
Inviting everyone. I love it thatit's free ninety nine, yes,
ma'am show and you don't have topay. You just have to and you

(10:00):
have to just participate. Okay, but yeah, I look forward to just
being there. It's gonna be good. Well, we are so excited to
have you. You will be cohosting along with j R. Beatbox.
We are gonna have him on anothersegment. But you know, it's gonna
be just a great day. Wehave the following acts. Guys, listen
to this, Okay. We haveMelody Rosa Lee huh ms, Marie j

(10:22):
Quervo's coming back on stage. DotWave's gonna bless us again. We are
also flying in Horizon for Australia.Yea, and that's a big deal because
that's international waters and that's a longflight. I mean, Hollow is just
going overseas. I mean, youguys are reaching out there, Okay.
We want to make sure we're reppinglike our Filipino community obviously, and you

(10:45):
know, I want to be ableto reach out not only to our locals
because there's so many talented people here, but I want to intertwine you know,
people that are across the seas,so and then we also have interlude,
yes that with their with their Rand b uhe in the nineties.
And remember it's a throwback. That'sright, it's the nineties, y'all.

(11:07):
It's our time, Tony. I'vebeen talking about what we're gonna wear.
What are we wearing? Guys? What are you gonna wear? MICHAELA,
Well, I really made it tonineties, so you know we're trying to
then I'm like, I'll go checkmy parents. Right, you'll get an
a good jackets nineties or a buckethat. Oh my gosh, yes,
a bucket hat, yes, ofcourse. But I love that it's the

(11:28):
nineties. I love it that youhad a theme. Did you have a
theme for the other years before, like the first one, in the second
one, or this is the firsttime you're doing a theme the nineties thing.
I think it's just naturally it evolvedto the nineties. You know,
it's coming back trends or coming back, and you know you just kind of
follow the trend. But we wantto be ahead of the trends. So
we're going to do the nineties. So if you guys are going to attend,
make sure y'all bring your you know, cross colors and I don't know

(11:54):
where were the Yeah, Jersey thinkCriss Cross will make a job right now,
right, let me rewind back tohow I was, you know,
and then to add to it Mikayla, oh boy, anyway, let's cut

(12:22):
that part. So uh, whatis exciting is that we also have the
Majority will be joining us to closeout the show. We are really really
happy excited to have them close outthe show because they are going to bring
the reggae infused vibes. I knowthey're gonna, you know, hit us
with some throwbacks, but it's justa good vibe with you with them,

(12:46):
and we are so lucky to haveKennedy King in house today to bless us
with a little bit of story timeyou are here and Benzi yeah you gotta
you gotta come here sing a songand then so all right, okay,

(13:07):
story to talk to us. Whatare you? How you doing so any
what's the latest song projects you guysare working on as a group, and
maybe if you have anything on thesolo tip like what do you what are
you up to right now? Weare working on our fourth album right now.
Elon's enjoying the beach right now.So you know, we're taking kind

(13:31):
of a break and uh, I'mjust you know, doing my part on
you know, writing the music. We got about twelve projects that we're working
on the fourth album. It's probablygonna get condensed down to about eight songs
for the next album, and thenwe're gonna push the rest of it into
the archives and possibly you know releasethose on a timely manner, uh,
you know, depending on how ourcareer is going. But yeah, we

(13:54):
got we got three two albums out, three albums out two albums. Album
so good that he doesn't so manyalbums to be fair, I know,
we got a lot of things inour library that are still unrelease that I
still play, uh you know, like solo nights one I'm not with the
band. So it just I'm likeall over the place on how much asset

(14:18):
we actually really have so far.But we're really excited. The band is
really excited to be you know,a part of you know, a special
event like this, Muhammad, Iwas you know, I did the first
one solo, and you know thethird one right, yes, yes,
third one. The third one nowis gonna be with you know the band,
and they're pretty you know excited aboutyou know, joining that stage and

(14:39):
playing for you know, everybody thatthat comes up. So tell us about
your music. Are you the primarywriter? How do you guys collab on
as of right now? Yeah,I'm the primary writer. Elon does the
musical production side of things. Heyou know, he we sit together and
we discussed ideas and we just kindof lay out what we're dealing with at

(15:01):
the moment, and then he doeshis thing musically and I sit there and
I listen to the music and Ilisten to whatever story you know that comes
through either my mind or my spiritthat you know, in the moment of
me doing my thing. And ifnot, you know, a lot of
people do with what writer's block.I just take, you know, just
take time and take a break andthen I try to come back to it
later. And you know, that'sthat's pretty much how we're developing our first

(15:26):
two albums. At the first whenwe first started working and now, you
know, the collective album that we'redoing now, it's more of you know,
the drummers getting involved, the bassplayers getting involved, and you know,
the keyboardist as well, and they'reall sharing a lot of great ideas.
So that's awesome. So what's yourfavorite type of music to write?

(15:46):
Is it primarily reggae or feel goodmusic? If I could be honest,
if I like things that are justyou know, pleasing to my ear,
I write country. I write Rand B al rite, so I write
regae, everything reggae based, butI tend to gravitate towards a country a
little bit more, mainly because thestorytelling is a lot better there, and

(16:08):
you know, and then I'll dabblein, you know, a few rap
songs just to build my metaphor of, you know, how to tell a
better story. So yeah, Idabble all over the place. And then
if I don't feel like listening toany lyrics, I just put on a
little playlist called Piano Bar and it'sjust all jazz music, of just instrumentals,

(16:30):
of just beautiful tones. You know, how'd you get started in music?
Is it that funny that so manyways? You know how music supported

(16:51):
me in you know, many momentsof my life. When I was seven
years old, I was always singingto Sister Act and Sixth Act too,
So now I was trying to hitthat you know, that high voice.
Jesus, I think we all tryto I'm Done're like, no, we
cannot, but yeah, you knowI don't. But it's okay. I'm

(17:12):
just like they edited. But youknow, from Sister Act to Sister Act
too, you know that. AndI remember singing one of those songs with
one of my uncles, simone unclesat the time, and the whole church
was hysterical. And I never Inever picked up music until I picked up
the guitar, probably my sophomore yearin high school. I think I was

(17:36):
about like sixteen, and then Iwent off to college and just I haven't
picked up my guitar after that forabout four years. But I'd just be
joining you know, this Kalapu, which is the Coppa Club, which is
you know, like a I callit a place of a fellowship for men
looking for you know, good ideasand you know that they can take back

(17:57):
home and improve themselves in their livesand we share, you know, I
just be there as the music man, and I'd listen to the old man
speak and I listened to the youngfolks speak, and you start to you
know, realize that, okay, maybe I'm not just here for the music
that, you know what I mean, Like, I'm probably just the median
and then when I finished singing aLucky Do based on the old Man starts

(18:18):
to speak so nice. I havea lot of moments where, you know,
music has just been a very supportivefigure for me. And you know,
when whenever those moments arrive, Ijust try to be as president as
I can, and you know, taking the moment and taking whatever lessons that's
being president. I was here interviewingDavid Wong the other day for the Las

(18:44):
Vegas Resource Guide, and you knowhe's talking about frequency and just being president
and all of that, Like doyou practice that when you're you know,
writing your songs. Yeah? Absolutely. How may I wake up every morning?
Yeah, and I try to meditate, you know, from the moment
that first thirty minutes that I getup, I try to meditate in silence,
and you know, I try tothink about what type of day I'm

(19:06):
trying to have. And you knowthat's pretty much just setting the tone,
like in football, because you know, I've been playing football from seventh grade
to all the way up to collegiatelevel, and you know the coaches always
preach set the tone, set thetone. So you know, I kind
of take that what I learned andI try to apply it, you know,
not just to my music, butto my ownverall life of setting the

(19:27):
tone. So you know, ifyou wake up in the morning and you
think you're gonna have a bad day, just take a moment, you know,
a moment twenty to thirty minutes withyourself and say why, you know,
why would you want to even issuethat to yourself? You know what
I mean? Right, if it'slike clothes that you're gonna put on,
why are you gonna put that on? You know what I mean? Like,

(19:48):
if it's not the clothes that youwant to put on, go change,
go take a shower, reset, breathe, take time, and you
know, just basically set the tonefor yourself. For me, it's matching
soft Matthew Socks, It's going tobe a great day because you know these
kids sometimes they just know that's itall up my matching. I'm not so

(20:11):
I'm like slippers. I love it. So anything going on with your solo
music? Where can we find you? Where can we catch you guys performing

(20:32):
anytime soon? Yes? We performas a band as a unit every second
and fourth Saturday at all of HookahLounge over in Henderson. If I could
get the address. I wish Iknew it at the top, but the
location is all of Mediterranean Hookah Loungeand then I also do uh solo acts
there where it's just acoustic and youknow, it's a very chill place where

(20:55):
you know, you can bring yourfriends and have conversations and be able to
you know, a time with goodfood, Mediterranean food, great hookah,
great drinks and you know, anddon't you perform with somebody. His name
is sugar Town Tuesday. Yes,on Tuesday. On Tuesday, we have

(21:18):
a duel set that me and agood friend of mine, DJ sugar Tone,
you know, shout out to himall right, he just uh transitioned
into from playing guitar into having awhole DJ set and you know, playing
his guitar at the same time.So I thought that was a really unique
idea, and he hit me up, you know, just hey, can

(21:40):
I just come through and just practiceon your solo nights like I won't be
in the way. And I wasjust like, Yo, this is really
dope format that you know. Theowner at the time shout out over there
at Ali and yeah, she reallyliked the idea. The format was just
u you know, very it feltlike home. Like people, you know,

(22:03):
they got the live music and thenthey get the live DJ said,
like you know a little bit ofcomedy hour. Yeah, yes, a
bit of a comedy the people thatare quite funny. Well you heard it
here first guys, all of MediterraneanGrill Mondays and Tuesdays. Check it out
and I'm sure Majority will be alsoannouncing your Graces shows. Whatever you guys

(22:30):
are doing, so check them outon what I G page. You can
follow us on the Majority underscore music. So the Majority spelled exactly how it
said said and underscore music at theend. Perfect. So, MICHAELA,
what's going on in your world?I want I want to know what's going
on over there because your world isexciting. Is we we go with this?

(22:52):
Whatever you want? Yeah, I'musing this fan What is this fab
expo? Whatever? We're gonna getthat? Well, we do want to
we do want to support. Yeah, I'm just kidding. I'm gonna go
to your guys event, zerum milwe have we have you down for your
fab event going on at the isit the Orleans at the Orleans October twenty

(23:18):
eighth, same day as Mahalo HollowBut ill love because you know, they're
doing their thing with fashion and aFilipino community, and then you know,
it's a whole different world. It'sdifferent fashion in business and we're just business
and music. So there's always alot of things that are going on in
Vegas at the same time. ButI mean, that's so wonderful because you
can go there, you can stopby there. Yeah, come by mahala
hello either way, flippity flop, you know, but you know, just

(23:41):
just hop hop hop, you know, I'm you know, don't drop it
like it's hot, but you know, just you know, make sure you
get back up. Yeah there, don't you know what. I like the
people that I got to work with, even like Ceer Mill and the the

(24:03):
fab Expo, Like I feel likeit's nothing but good support, even like
with you seeing that sort of you'resaying with Chigotone hopped on with you guys,
like it's just good vibes, Likeyou just need a good support system
where you want where the people aroundyou also wants you to. We want
to win. Yeah, that's whywe're good. Like you know what I'm

(24:25):
saying, Yes, because it's collaborationover competition, you know what I mean.
It's collaboration over competition, you knowwhat I mean, we all want
to win, and every single oneof us there's only one us, you
know, there's only one me.There's only one that Kayla Okay, you
know, so you know, andthat's and that's what's so great about it
is because when one wins, weall win. And that's exciting. Well,
I mean that's the beauty of collaboratingand meeting people in you know,

(24:48):
the industry, whether it's through musicor business, or just in your neighborhood.
You know, it's like you startthat conversation really dig deeper than just
like oh hey, neighbor, what'sgoing on? Like what do you do?
How can I support you, howcan we cross promote one another,
or just you know, really divedeeper into your community, right right.
So yeah, and you know, this program, I don't want it to

(25:10):
be surface level. I want everybodyto be themselves. I want everybody to
feel comfortable. So ifever you're invitedhere, please show up, show out
because we want to you know, really learn about what's what's going on,
you know, like whether it's withthe children, with the kids, you
know, we're going to be bringingin our BTR kids soon, and I
want to learn about what's going onin the schools and how you know,

(25:32):
the education system is happening as well, you know, because they are our
future and having children is really importantto know what's going on in the world.
So that was really good. Yeah, No, I think it's really
I think it's really good. LikeI like what you said in the beginning,
Tony, when you said you prayedabout it, and you know,
God brought it all together because youknow, in this industry, whether it
be in fashion, whether it bein music, there's always going to be

(25:56):
people out there that are not goingto be for you, right or they'll
try you know what I mean, they're gonna be like they're gonna be like,
in a sense, you know,a wolf in sheep's clothing. But
thank God that you have that spiritof discernment. Thank God for any prayer
that answered prayer, because when whenthat's what I prayed for even the beginning
of the year, was to beconnected with women of purpose, with people
of purpose, and and to seethis all coming together, it really is

(26:19):
answered prayer. To top it off, guys, to speak of purpose,
I want to commend my cis hereMC lepo lapse. We want to congratulate
you because this little segment right hereis to honor your talent and what you
do for the community. And Iknow I don't have You don't have last

(26:40):
so maybe you can't give her asecond, but we want to honor your
talent because when you are m seeingon stage, whether it's an event,
a wedding, you know, aparty, it is your gift. And
everybody has a gift, and weoften we often hide it because we're so
scared to show what it is rightand we want to be able to share

(27:03):
that. And you have come outand just blessed this community within the month
that I've known you month and ahalf forever forever though right you're moving,
You're moving and groving. But Iwant to congratulate you because she did just
walk in Hawaii's Finest Musical Music Ican't let me start that over Hawaii's Finest

(27:25):
Music Festival, Las Vegas, happeningat the event Line at Virgin Hotel,
happening this Friday and Saturday. Yourgirl mc lelaps is going to be awesome.
Yeah, basically I'm seeing the entireshow, So tell us about how
how you feel Oh my gosh, that right there is it's actually going to
well, I did a music festivalor it's like a big festival, Major
Vibes in Atlanto, California. Thatwas my first actual, big, big

(27:49):
festival, public festival. And sothis is actually going to be my first
music festival here in Las Vegas. And it's two days and just to have
the opportunity. And you know,as I'm starting out like with this because
I'm new to the game, butI'm not new because I've done it for
ten years now with Tabakanui with ourgroup, but then now it was branching

(28:10):
out just in this year alone.I have to advocate for myself. So
you know, the story that comesto my mind is the lady from Spanks.
You know what she did, right, She actually had the idea and
what she did was she went tothe top. She just emailed them and
they called her in and that's howit all started. So to me,
I'm like, it doesn't hurt totry. I am here, I'm this
is what I've done if you wantto check me out. And so I

(28:32):
reached out and I told a friendof mine. She was like, because
shout out to my sister Shi.You know, she actually reached out two
scoops of aloha. She reached outto him and said, hey, this
this what's your fee? And soI'm like, okay. So we talked
and yeah, got the confirmation andsaid okay, you're on. So I
was like, all right, it'son, so we'll see open doors.

(28:52):
So just taking that step of faith. So but you know, I also
remember what Okay, I'm just likepulling out. But like, but what
Rihanna said when she said, ifyou love what you do and you have
join it, then it's not work. And I really like, at the
end of every event that I do, I end up tearing and really thanking
God because I do love what Ido. I can't promise you. I
don't go in with a script.I go in with an outline and I'm

(29:15):
like, here we go, youknow, you know, so thank you
guys. Really it really does meana lot. I take it to heart,
and like you said, just embracewho you are, love who you
are, walk in that, beconfident in it, and speak what you
know because if I don't know,then take it. I don't know,
and don't forget your value, youknow, And I think that that shows

(29:36):
with any business or your talent.Like you come in and you're like,
well, maybe I won't charge.But if you're doing you've been doing it
for ten plus years, and youcome in and you're still in the mentality
of like, oh I'm a newbie. No, you're no longer a newbie.
You've paid your dues, you madesure you've you know, you've learned
your craft, and you've mastered it. So make sure to know your value
and just like you know and ownit and like I'm worth it. I'm

(29:57):
worth it probably, so I'm excited. Thank you guys so much so.
Congratulation all the best to all us. When Tony posted you, I didn't
know you yet, right, butshe posted you, and I remember going
to the show after like after thepost, right, and I was like,
I hugged you, like automatically. When I first met you, I

(30:18):
was like, like, you couldtell that this isn't an act. This
makes sense, like when she's upthere, like this isn't an act,
Like it's just wholesome. I lovedsecond that I even let tone know to
that, you know what I mean, Like from the moment I parked,
before I even crossed the street, you could just feel you know what I'm

(30:40):
saying, like, and I didn'teven walk past you know, the vendors
at the time. I'm like,yo, this feels really good, Like
what what is this? And Igot, you know, I finally get
to you know, inside and Isee you doing your thing, and I'm
like, she's the one. Okay, you locked her in. I was
going to push her loaded. Thatwas really good spirits, you know,

(31:10):
like what what you brought to youknow, was exactly working. Yeah,
I'm yeah, I'm so happy tobe stuck with all of you. Yes,
your stuff, you know, shoutout to Tony because Tony was okay
from the first event and I wasn'tpart of well I was, I was
part of it, but I wasn'tpart of it right. And in the

(31:30):
second event, I got more involved. Every time it was just like flip
double clip double, Like we arejust expanding. And then you know what's
crazy, like, girl, youare a bridge, a blessing because like
we're not just connecting in business, like we we all hunged out even outside
of the event, outside of ourmeetings, we have done stupid stuff and

(31:52):
I run from dinosaurs, so manystupid things, Like we all got you
learned how to break dance a littlebit, just a little bit. You
know, we got to show thatvideo sometimes, shut up, we're not
but you know why? Yeah, you know we record for my show.
Could we just copy copy and paste? But actually it's it's crazy because we're

(32:16):
talking about like the important, likethe spiritual part I was. I'm thinking
about it. I remember Tony thefirst time we met. It was at
Starbucks, okay, and I remember, let me tell you the the protection
of God. Okay, okay,so I hear to reminisce or whatever,

(32:37):
justify. I left my other meetingearly so we could be here, so
we got time. So let metell you guys this. There is a
business I was heavily involved in andit was convicting me, and it was
like breaking me. And the thingis is like I have to Like it
was so public, you can youknow what I mean? It was like

(32:58):
very like I have to a certainlife a certain way. So like the
moves I was making, I didn't. I wasn't satisfied with those moves,
even though everybody else was like,oh congratulations, Like I didn't feel fulfilled
in those moves. And it wasso public and like into the media and
stuff. I wasn't into it,and I remember I cut off that business

(33:19):
and I told them, like, you know, this is what I believe.
That everybody has their own idea ofsuccess. So the thing is is
like, if you're not with thesame vision that I have, like that's
cool. You you just got toknow what everybody's goal is. If we're
not working with each other, ain'tno shade. We just gotta you know
what I'm saying. So I remember, out of obedience to God, I

(33:43):
cut off that business. And letme tell you, it was like God
was really testing me because like thatwas the first time I was really working
with influencers, millionaires, entrepreneurs andfor me to tell them like, no,
this isn't sitting right with my valuesand like tell them like I'm cutting
it off, Like that was Ididn't know what was going to happen next
for me. So I remember prayingto that, praying to God about that,

(34:06):
because during that time, that groupended up telling me that I wouldn't
have been successful if it wasn't forthem. So that's where it was.
It really like oh well shit,Like I'm a hustler. I work hard
no matter what. So that reallythat that really did like put me in
a place like, dang, whatdo I do? Because I don't want

(34:28):
to be owned by people? Right? So anyways, I pray to God
because a lot of those connections thatI was doing business with did come out
of that area, right, SoI pray to God and then I let
go of Oh I almost said, what the business was? I let go
of the business. And and what'scrazy is Kuya Gilbert was calling me out
of nowhere. So that's when weended up meeting. And what's crazy is

(34:51):
Tony came outside Like the way thatwe met was right outside of that that
network. So I was like,do you get what I'm saying? It
was just more like that was Godprotected me. And that was happening in
the same week. And the thingis nobody knew that that's what the owners
told me. It was like onthe down low, so for God to
like and I didn't tell anybody aboutit, you know what I'm saying.

(35:12):
Nobody knew about it. So duringthat time, just the fact that Tony
came out of like a prayer thatnobody knew, like I was, it
was God's protection over me, LikeKim telling me Mikayla, Like, don't
worry. I'm just gonna say toadd to that is that you know,
when I first met you and Mikayla, obviously this was exactly a year ago,
and you've grown, You're much younger, you're like half my age.

(35:36):
Well then that means I don't tripleher, no, like thea Okay,
I'm just a couple of years older. But you know what I mean,
Like I I know the journey thatyou've you've faced, and I'm really proud
of you and you know, thewhole vulnerable like side to this this program
is to really understand how people groweven within a year. You can be

(35:59):
somebody and you're trying to get towhere you need to be or where you
pray to be, and when youget there and you have friends in your
network that are able to see thatgrowth, it's amazing. So good us
you girl, Right, I don'tsay I love you, okay. So
one thing I'm trying to train myselfto do is to be more vocal with
loving people because I think for me, I always like I'm very like.

(36:21):
Just so with that being said, bear with me when I say I love
you, Tony, we love youto girl cm I all right, well
you know what, guys, weare going to bring it, bring it
home. Mcas what you what yougot? Well, you know what.
I just what a way to startoff our show. I mean, what
a way to just come together thebeginning of how Mahalalo was come up came

(36:46):
about, and then just to seeand to be honored to be co hosting
with you as well as just tohear the story from my brother Kennedy King
and of course the lovely Makayla.Of course I love it how we all
have come together. We all havediffer and walks, but that's the one
thing that I know that you wantedto make an impact Tony, that you
said it doesn't matter what you're goingthrough, what you're walking through, it's

(37:07):
more than it's mahalo Hello. Andthen some because life is life, and
then some you know what I mean. And that's one thing too. We
want to honor each other in ourgiftings, Tony, we also want to
acknowledge and honor the giftings that youhave. I mean, your production,
the way you orchestrate things, Imean, and then the encouragement to go.
I love it how you say betterto ask for forgiveness than I don't

(37:30):
know if but you But you knowwhat, there's a confidence in that,
there's a confidence when you spoke,that there's a way, there's just a
presence about you that comes with anauthority and understanding that is teaching us and
that we're all able to teach andshare with each other. And that's one
thing that I know that Mahalo Holloand then some is going to help people.

(37:52):
Is going to not only help themknow about Mahala hello, understand about
their heritage, but give them somethingelse, give them them some so they
can take that some and make itinto something right. Because if you want
to you want to go somewhere, you better wake up and hey, okay

(38:15):
what I'm talking about. You seewhat I'm saying. We need to bring
some life into the studio. Thankyou Kennedy King for there there's so much
more. Is not only a lyricist, a vocalist and mc a mom.
