Nigeria: Tinubu Postpones G20, AU-EU Trips, Awaits Briefing On Kebbi, Kwara Attacks

Nigerian President Bola Ahmed Tanubil has postponed his trips to
the G twenty Summit in South Africa and the OU
Summit in Angola to receive security briefings on recent attacks
in Kebe and Kuara states. The decision was announced on
November nineteen, twenty twenty five. Following a bandit attack on
a church in Uruku, Quara State and the abduction of

twenty four schoolgirls in Kebe State. Tanuble has ordered the
deployment of additional military and police personnel to Uruku in
the Equity Local Government area of Kuara State. He has
also directed security agencies to track down the bandits responsible
for the attacks and rescue the abducted school of girls.

Vice President Casium Settimoh was sent to Kebi State to
conduct an assessment visit on the President's behalf. The president
is awaiting reports from the Vice President as well as
the police and the Department of States Services. However, according
to Wananuga, the President will now await reports from Vice
President Kassium Schedema, who has been directed by the President

to visit Kebiyana's behalf. Tanubu will also await reports from
the police and the Department of State Services DSS regarding
the attack in Kuara. President Tanubu is scheduled to leave
Abuja today to attend the twentieth G twenty Summit of
Leaders in South Africa and thereafter proceed to Luanda to

attend the seventh OEU Summit. Disturbed by the security breaches
in Kebe State and mondays attack by bandits against worshippers
at Christ's Upostolic Church, Iruku, President Tanubu decided to suspend
his departure. He now awaits reports from Vice President Kassium Schedema,
who paid a sympathy visit to Kebiyana's behalf, as well

as reports from the police and the Department of State
