The family their spouses their exes their children. They get a lot of airtime for a show we hardly ever admit to watching.
So let's explore why the Kardashians are famous for being famous quote unquote and why they dominate pop culture the way that they do.

So I will say that as a high schooler like growing up when they first started on E. I was introduced to Kim Kardashian as a closet organizer for Paris Holtz.

So we're going to get into the theories of what it is but we saw Kim Kardashian became publicly and widely known for being in a sex tape with Rage A.

I mean I don't want to reduce a woman down to she was in a sex tape but I do think the sex tape was very calculated by the family.
Well that'll be a part of the controversy exactly. And Sean had never really seen the early episodes of it.

I've never seen an episode of keeping up with the car. She does for you guys. I'm not like the other. She gave up being like the other roles.

The series ran for 20 goddamn seasons becoming one of the longest running reality television series in the United States.
I didn't realize that either but I guess it makes sense. I can't think of anything else besides survivor maybe.

Now I think it's much more of a scripted show. I feel like after like the fourth or fifth season.
It was no longer reality. It was like very like produced. Yeah. But whatever. But I think those early seasons were so interesting.
So we went back and we watched the first two episodes. We watched the first two episodes and then we went to the pool and had white claws instead which was probably the superior choice.

We have a few notes that we wrote down from our first few episodes. Okay. And this again is the first two episodes ever aired of Keeping Up with the Kardashians.
The first note that I put down is quote wow body shaving.
Like episode one that Chris is telling Chloe to lose weight literally within the first five minutes of this show.

She's like you're just a little bigger than the other girls like it was. But we look fine.
It was wild to see it. So these early archetypes of characters who are being presented within the first five to 10 minutes.
The entire show are still the like stereo types. It is great. It's great. Yeah. Like to this day.

So it's difficult people to look at that. But then you have like Kim who's the narcissist and like once attention.

But the funny one. Yeah. And then Courtney is more of the like oh she's in a loving relationship.
Yeah. Even though Scott is cheating like episode one of this show.
They really just hung Scott out to dry. The only thing I know about Scott dissing is I've learned against my will.
And it's that he has children with Courtney Kardashian. Yes. That is actually she's on her.

She's not like happens on keeping up with the Kardashians like live where he's like you're my peasant and shoves money into this man.

And in 2011 to 2015, he did a variety of spin-offs.

think of pop culture, they might think of the Kardashians, but there's so many other layers.
I mean, people who listen to this podcast, probably, I don't know, there's probably a good
chunk that are the Kardashian fans.

It's like all of that is pop culture.

Unfortunately, the prosecution did commit what is called a Brady violation, which is not turning
over evidence that could benefit the defendant in their trial.
And so because of the prosecution and the police acting that way, their innocence project

is using a part of their grant to do DNA testing on a part of a crime that happened
across the street, which is their counter argument.
