(00:02):
- Hello, and this is your PCJ pop, I'm Olivia.
- And I'm Shawna.
- And Shawna, it's so good to be back in person together
if you're watching on a video version of this podcast.
We're here, we're not floating heads, it's bodies.
I love having a body.
- So I'm curious, what do you recommend this time?

(00:26):
- I recommend everybody watches Star Wars Revenge of the Sith.
Tell 'em, I know that the prequels have gotten a lot of heat
over the years, but I feel like they've gotten a resurgence
recently.
People are finding new love for the Star Wars prequels.
I've been doing a rewatch and I just got up to revenge
of the Sith and I watched it in theaters

(00:48):
for the 20 year anniversary, and it was delightful.
Like when Anakin kills the younglings, we all cheered,
like blood-sourced animals.
- I love how like rerun or re-release, I guess,
is the better way to see the existence of the movie
of a cult podcast.
- Because everybody in the audience knows what's coming
and we're getting excited.

(01:08):
Like the minute that one line hits, everyone's like,
yeah, like it was just such a good experience.
And Hayden Christensen comes out and screened before
and kind of says, you know, thank you all for coming
to Star Wars Revenge of the Sith.
And I'm so glad that he's getting his research.
So I'm gonna pop the prequels.
I think everybody should give him a try,

(01:29):
especially revenge of the Sith.
Watch Anakin become Darth Vader
and thirst over Hayden Christians
and shirtless and sweating.
- It's a worthy venture.
- It is.
- It is.
- Tails all this time.
- It's a tail of, it's all this time.
- Fun fact, this re-release was the highest grossing
theatrical re-release of all time.

(01:50):
- So that five times fast.
- Highest grossing of theatrical re-release about,
yeah, I'm done.
But yes, watch some Star Wars.
- Sean, I got very upset with me.
- Here's a dog.
- I got my birthday party because I said
I'd never seen all of the Star Wars.
- Yeah, like what?
- What?
I knew that Nicole hadn't seen all of them.
- Yeah, that was bad.
- I know.
- I at least like Lord of the Rings, you know?

(02:10):
- Okay, yeah, yeah.
- I had one nerdy thing and I just went
for Lord of the Rings.
- Not, but I'm just--
- You only get one nerdy slot in Lord of the Rings.
- I was too busy being, trying to be cool.
- I was too busy being popular and getting late.
- Okay, what is your--
- No, it's too busy being the new kid.
It was like, I have to shed these weird things about me.
(laughing)

(02:31):
So my pop is a movie that came out last year in 2024.
It is Speak No Evil.
It has James McAvoy and Mackenzie Davis in it.
- Yes, I loved this one.
- Oh, it was so good.
I really, like the trailer gives you like a good idea
of what's gonna happen, but it is just so creepy.

(02:52):
- And I think that James McAvoy is such a good, like,
sneakily scary person, like he's so attractive.
- Yeah, that you wanna trust him.
- Like, you wanna trust him.
- Creep out, like, did you ever see split?
- No, because my husband refuses to watch anything
made by Imnight Shyamalan.
- Oh, wow.
- Like, refuses.
- So I'm gonna have to watch it alone.

(03:13):
He's never seen the sixth sense.
- No, he has, but Avatar broke his heart
so bad that we have a boy come in our house.
- Okay, well, you can come over and watch it with me.
- Just try to be San Francisco.
(laughing)
- So split is really, really good.
He does, like, he has a dissociative identity,
as I know it, as like multiple personalities.

(03:33):
And he's so creepy in that.
And it's like a similar performance.
He doesn't have multiple personalities in this movie,
but he does a good job of being like,
oh, I'm like very attractive, but also very crazy.
- It's like us.
- Yeah, you know.
- Yeah.
- We may be a league above us if we're being honest,
but it was a really crazy, not an attractive.

(03:54):
- I thought that I had a lot to say
about just like marriage dynamics.
- Yeah, I agree.
- Yeah, I really liked it.
I would pop it and recommend you guys all watch it.
- Awesome.
- So we hope that you guys check out Star Wars Revenge
of the Sith, who knows, maybe even I will,
and speak no evil.
And that's it for PCJ Pop.
