(00:04):
- So, San Diego Comic Con happened recently,
which I've never been to has always been on my bucket list.
And, okay, so I was in my living room
watching Love Island with Stephanie and Marissa and Jessica.
And I'm also scrolling and I see that they announced
who's gonna play Dr. Doom in the upcoming

(00:27):
fantastic four movie, but more specifically,
in Avengers 5, Doomsday.
And I screamed so loud and ran to get my husband
that they thought that like someone had died.
- They were like, "I screampt."
- Is she, "Oh, the scream that I screampt?"
Dr. Doom is gonna be played by Robert.
- Ooh.

(00:48):
Ooh.
He's coming back.
He said, "I want that Marvel pay.
I want that Marvel money, baby."
And they said, "Shit's kind of going bad and Marvel.
We need Marvel Jesus to come and revive this.
I'm seeing you."
So, Robert Downey Jr. is gonna play Dr. Doom

(01:10):
in Avengers Doomsday, which was gonna be Kang Dynasty,
but then Jonathan Majors is, can't lead the franchise anymore,
'cause he got all those domestic assault charges.
- So, Tim, interesting move for Robert Downey Jr.
is career trajectory.
- Because, of course, he was in the Marvel Universe
for so long, and then you do a Christopher Nolan movie.

(01:33):
You also like crush it.
You would think he would wanna do more of those parts.
- I think he will.
I mean, he's such a talented actor.
And I think that the MCU really kind of revived his career.
I mean, he was, he was like down in his like,
- Exactly.
- No one wanted to insure that he could have a chance on him.

(01:55):
But you would think moving past Marvel,
or have they just either offered him a ton of money?
- They offered him that shit ton of Hulk-sized Marvel money, baby.
And I think he likes the Russo brothers,
'cause they were the directors of the original Avengers films,
which were the original Avengers movie, I should say,
and like other Marvel movies, which were so successful.

(02:15):
I think he just really likes working with them.
And they were gonna come back to Doomsday.
But I know I saw a lot of different reactions online.
Most of them were excited and a lot of them were like,
they know Marvel is like failing when they need to get
fucking Tony Stark to play Doctor Doom.

(02:36):
- Daddy, Iron Man, come back up.
- Daddy, help.
- Daddy, Iron.
Please.
- Please, Iron Daddy.
- Well, I'm excited for you and the Marvel fandom
and Robert Downey Jr.
- Yeah, I'm excited for Robert Downey Jr. too.
Next time I talk to him, I'll let him know that we approve.
