Welcome to day two of the pop culture pedestal Christmas
adavant calendar of mussy festive gems. Today's picures a nineteen
eighty nine comedy classic National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation, which for
me is a must watch every single year. And by
the way, before we go on, I just love the

animated intro to this movie. We've Santa having a bit
of trouble at the Griswold's house, and of course this
is Pard with the iconic song Christmas Vacation, which I
think kind of stands on poer with holiday road. I
don't know. It gets me hyped for what I'm about

to watch every single time. It lets you know exactly
what to expect from this movie, and for me, it's
just such an enjoyable part. Right at the beginning, this
movie follows Clark Griswold played by Cherry Chase, as he
tries to deliver the perfect family Christmas, but what we
get instead is over the top chaos, Turkey sledding disasters,

a house covered in so many lights it puts Las
Vegas to shame. Actually, doesn't the visit Las Vegas in
one of these movies? What I like the most about
this movie is it's relatable. Hear me out here, I
think that we all want that picture perfect Christmas and
you definitely feel that for Clerk when things start to
go wrong. That's why this movie, for me works. It's

about a man who is so passionate about Christmas he
will stop at nothing to make it perfect. The problem
is he's a bit of a goof Literally, he actually
reminds me in parts of Goofy. You know what I mean.
Have you ever seen a Goofy cartoon where he's climbing
up a ladder and the ladder's like falling everywhere and
spinning around. There's actually a scene like that in this movie,

and it literally reminds me of Goofy. And this movie
has so many iconic scenes, such as the scene work
Clerk and the family gets stuck driving under a truck
before venture out for a Christmas tree that is literally
too big for the house, and I mean too big

when they open that thing up and windows get smashed.
And then of course theres the arrival of the idiotic
cousin Eddie, who likes to pour out his own human
waste from his camper van in the street and then,
of course the snooty neighbors who Clerk likes to harass,
and I've got to say, I don't really think they
do anything to deserve it. Christmas Vacation has become most
people's must watch movie because it's just silly fun about

a family, a chaotic family, but a family nonetheless, and
a father who just wants to make Christmas perfect. And
I think that is why this movie is so relatable,
and I think it's why it's so enjoyable. Thanks for
