(00:01):
I know everybody. It's Bishop Debbaand I am down by the river,
Niagara River and beautiful Niagara on thelake. I'm gonna put down the windows.
It's really hot out and now justturn off the car. And I'm
already hot. So this is gonnabe a short, short, little podcast.
I just wanted to check in.It's been a couple of weeks.
(00:23):
So here we are. It's July. It's summer. There is a extremely
hot, warm breeze coming in thewindow. I think it's like thirty five
right now. With the humid X. It is another humid day, but
it's beautiful. It's summer. Howcan you have this summer? Right?
Somewhere around February will be saying, remember July third one, it was so
(00:45):
bloody hot, and we'll wax poeticabout it. So I am looking at
part of a dead tree. Someof the trees down here have to get
taken down. They are looking alittle ill, which is kind of sad.
There are lots of trees, butthe ones that are in trouble you
can really tell. Of course, you know, it's still a place for
(01:07):
birds to roost. We've got Ijust saw an orange bird fly by but
it must be between meal time, because I'm not seeing many ducks or geese.
I am hearing a truck rate behindme. I don't know why that's
there. A lot of people haveweddings at this particular place, Navy Hall.
(01:32):
It was actually Governor Simcoe back inthe eighteen hundreds. It was his
house, and up the hill isthe fort, so this is a very
historic place. If I look acrossthe river, I can see Fort Niagara
very clearly, so they would knowit's just a really kind of tiny river
(01:56):
at this point. If they weremaking any kind of to come across the
river on either side, the centurieswould immediately know. I have a feeling
that this is a very sad place. Back around the eighteen twelve era,
a lot of people lost their lives, and you know there are echoes of
(02:20):
that in certain pockets. If you'resensitive it all to energy, you can
tell when a place has been disturbed. I guess would be a good word
where there have been lots of fightingor sad things that have happened. And
here it feels the water mitigates thatthe positive the negative ions. Negative ions
(02:44):
from the water take away a lotof the sad energy. But I know
that some people will go along theparkway or along certain places and say blessings
to release the spirits or to calmthe place, not to erase what happened,
but to smooth it, to helpit, to help healing. I
(03:09):
did have on me on the mainstreet, excuse me, Queen Street.
Many years ago, I did ablessing of a part of the street,
Victoria Street, actually, because therehad been a lot of paranormal activity in
one of the stores and overhead. So we did. We did a blessing.
(03:30):
We walked through, we through someholy water, We said some prayers,
we called on the angels, wesmudged, we did everything we could
think of to move the energy right. And after that it was calmer.
We helped whatever it was to finda different place to be, hopefully heaven,
you know, go to the light. And there are so many places
(03:53):
in old town Niagara, in thelake that are really wonderland for paranormal folks.
Things that happen that are just wild, and I've witnessed a few of
them, I have to say.My son's actually, they used to work
at what was called the Buttery, and that was a like a pit stop
(04:15):
for wagons back in the day,and so it's old. It's old,
it's old. A lot of fights, a lot of barbarols, I don't
know. But it was also ahotel, I think. But there was
a murder there. There's something thathappened that took somebody's life and that person
has not moved on, or persons, I'm not sure, but I know
(04:36):
that my older guys. Simon camehome one night. It was a rainy
night and there was a blackout andthey closed early, and they were just
having a beer after work, youknow, nobody there except the staff,
and they watched. They had thesebeautiful copper hammered copper tops to the bars,
(04:57):
and you know sometimes if you havea gl and it's got condensation at
kind of hydroplane. This was notthat they've watched as a beer kind of
being pushed by an unseen hand, came all the way down this beautiful hammered
copper bar and stopped where they weresitting, and it was about that point
(05:18):
that they looked at each other anddecided it was time to go home.
And then the blackout happened, sohe came home rather buzzed. Also,
the Angel Inn, which is kindof in a line with that place,
another older place, and somebody waskilled there and people see her. I
(05:41):
think she's called the Gray Lady.I might have that mixed up with another
paranormal place in town. But ifyou go down to the cellar, it's
still earthen down there. And myyounger guy used to have to go down
to get like a root cellar, get you know, vegetables and things.
Hated it, hated it, hatedit. He said it was like going
into a tomb. It had thesame feeling of clausterphobia and nebulous, awful
(06:08):
energy. So it's an interesting placeto live. Gotta say, you know,
put up the window because the truck'sgetting closer and I've been talking over
it and as you can tell,I didn't have no voice. So anyway,
it's a fantastic place to come. They have ghost tours of Fort Niagara,
(06:29):
and apparently they're very scary. I'venever done any of this. They've
got ghost walks that take you throughthe town and point out all the lot
of the things I've already shared, but they're much more animated and acting.
So it's from that perspective it's awonderful town. Now today it's filled with
tourists and cars and people trying tocross the street and thinking it's a movie
(06:53):
set and cars should not be around, right. Everybody's having a good time.
The energy here is always high. And the summer people come there.
They're so relaxed. They're walking downthe street. They're eating their ice cream
and drinking there they bottle of waterand just enjoying the buzz. The town
has beautiful energy, despite the Warof eighteen twelve and all the paranormal stuff.
(07:16):
It really does. The people makethe energy and misliving in Old Town.
But anyway, I'm droning on aboutthis a very exciting place to live.
Hope you get a chance to visitit if you haven't ever or for
a while. It really does haveits it's beautiful elements that make it special
(07:41):
unique. And then I'm watching ajet ski go buy. It definitely is
summer. Well, let's have alittle prayer to get us through the rest
of our day. I keep thinkingit's Friday. I guess because of the
long weekend. It's I don't knowwhy he feels like Friday, So I'm
celebrating it's Friday. I'm off nowlet's have a little Gracious God, we
(08:07):
give you thanks for the gift ofthis beautiful day, this summer day,
this day of possibilities and potential. We ask that you walk with us,
that your spirit leads us, thatyour love fills us, that we are
inspired and dream dreams and think onexciting events that will happen in our lives.
(08:37):
We give thanks for the many blessingsyou bring to us. We give
thanks for our loved ones, thosewho love us, and those whom we
love. And we pray for allwho at this time are under the weather,
who are suffering seasonal allergies or experiencingmore serious complaints, more serious illnesses.
We pray for those who are surgery, those who have been through surgery
(09:01):
recovering. We ask that your angelsbe with them and guide them and guard
them in all their ways. Wepray for this planet. We pray for
the light of your love to shine, to shine so brightly there is no
shadow, there is no place fordarkness, that darkness would be eradicated,
(09:22):
that darkness would have no power,That your love would shine so brightly and
be in our hearts so fully thatwe would not be afraid, that we
would not be fearful, that wewould not let anything, not let anything
make us worried or afraid or fearthe worst. But with hope and light
(09:46):
in our hearts and our homes,in our communities, that we would go
forward and know that love always wins. Maybe carry that thought today. Love
always wins, Love always wins, and we are a part of that love.
We are all love. We areall children of the Most High,
who is Love. And so wegive you thanks. We pray in your
(10:13):
holy name. Omen. It's veryfunny. While I was praying, I
looked over and there's this cadillac. If you listen back to my podcast over
the years, this cadillac who thefellow person who lives in town. I
know the license plate. It's anold beige Caddy with the spare tire thing
on the back, and I thinkit's a rag top. When I passed
(10:35):
Queensboro Park a little while ago,he was sitting there, just a person
who likes and enjoys like I do, to come and look at the river
and maybe reflect, to read, take some time away from their house the
phone, maybe. And he wasat Queensboro Park when I looked, he
was over there. Just I don'tknow. If he knows me. I've
got a different car now. Hemight know my hat. I don't know,
(10:58):
but not a stalker, just somebodylike me who loves to wander and
experience summer and the beautiful days thatare part of this, uh, this
adventure we call life. Anyway, truck traffic out of the truck. That's
why we're not hearing the truck. We're gonna have to listen to this back
(11:20):
and see if the sound quality istoo crappy. Anyway, you all have
a good day, and I'm talkingagain very soon. Bye.
