Speaker 1 (00:02):
Well, Sean Lennon with Pro Wrestling and Force. He now
for the first time ever, we are welcoming Trent Rickley.
What's up, brother Bro, But welcome to the PW Report
and of course graduate of Free Lance Wrestling Academy and
he is a member of the Freelance Wrestling Roster. Make
(00:26):
sure to check out this Friday, Freelance Wrestling presents no
ring time for the week. This was a scrimble match
coming up. Yes, we can't wait to see you against
I can't Yelliot, Alfredo albat Isaiah's Velasquez, Trevor Outlaw and
Angel Escalera. And that's I'm excited to see you an
(00:48):
Angel interact. I feel like you guys are on that
same wavelength a little bit, yeah, a little bit. And
we've seen you Galli Lucha, Midwest Championship Wrestling, Third Coast Wrestling.
We love wrestling. If there's anything else that left out,
you can let me know. But I think that covers
(01:09):
almost everything.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
No, I believe that's about that's about every single one.
If I if I this one, probably I recently did
zoua recently did.
Speaker 1 (01:20):
Zoa Okay, cool, Yes, that's right. You were part of
the the Zaur show that started twenty twenty five, right.
Speaker 3 (01:28):
That's correct.
Speaker 2 (01:28):
I was in the Hot Shot Rumble in that one
and even got to team up with mister Casey Jacks
the Wild Raccoons.
Speaker 1 (01:37):
Cool. Well, hey, we appreciate you being back on or
being off for the first time, and Trent regularly joined
us on PW Report. It's so my first question for
you is how are you doing? By the way, I
hope you're doing.
Speaker 3 (01:52):
Me well, doing well? Thank you? Kind of just but
that's about it for me.
Speaker 1 (02:00):
Now your debute, I want to talk about your debut
pro wrestling. How does that changed your life for the better.
We've seen you like kind of you know, being a
background helping out at freelance wrestling Academy or freelance shows,
you know, being part of freelance resting Academy. But now
that you solidify yourself as a as a full time wrestler,
how does that feel for me?
Speaker 3 (02:22):
It's changed my life for the better.
Speaker 2 (02:24):
Before I joined wrestling, I was kind of just going
along my own on a straight path, But wrestling's kind
of opened up my eyes to more for what can
be out there and even just helping out and even
being around that crowd is something surreal. So just getting
through that curtain and even getting a one on one match,
(02:45):
even being in a scramble match is borderline amazing because
it's completely backwards from how I thought everything would be
not even two years ago.
Speaker 1 (02:56):
Wow. And then how did you finally figure out how
to be part of professional wrestling?
Speaker 2 (03:03):
It's a good question, honestly. For me, I've always liked comedy.
Like the hugest things that I'll say I like is
stuff like Our Truth segments, Samy's Aying, and the Bloodline,
Our Truth and the Judgment Day. But even just going
based on comedy, I'm a huge comedic fan, so I
like being a bit more chill, and that causes me
(03:24):
to be a bit more funny and it resembles a
lot of what I like to do outside of the
rain and just be me within.
Speaker 1 (03:31):
There for sure. And then when do you come across
the freelance wrestling Academy?
Speaker 2 (03:38):
I came across the Freelance Wrestling Academy in August of
twenty twenty three. Was very curious about how it would go,
was trying to put together how I would be in there,
and then the second I got in there, I immediately
had to change up my plan because I was not
(03:58):
expecting wrestling to be the.
Speaker 3 (03:59):
Way it was. M I me, okay, oh, after you,
after you.
Speaker 1 (04:05):
I was just saying, it was like the commitment.
Speaker 2 (04:08):
Yeah, it was not just the commitment for me, but
it was also the fact that it felt like a
literal gut punch Oka. And the second that I got that,
I felt that gut punch, I was like, Okay, I
want to do this.
Speaker 1 (04:21):
I want to do this, but sure, And you guys
have a lot of great people that are in charge
of the school that you worked with, like in the trainers.
So how was that experience of being with the trainers?
Were you familiar with them ahead of time?
Speaker 3 (04:37):
Or the only ones I was?
Speaker 2 (04:40):
The only one I was familiar with prior was Brianna
And that's because years back, like twenty eighteen, I believe
I saw her at the second.
Speaker 3 (04:51):
Warrior Wrestling show.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
Okay, so, and then I've just kind of seen her
around the circuit throughout my time, not in wrestling, and
I've just been like, huh, okay, but people, but my
other trends like Isaiah's GPA, I had no idea about
until I got to freelance interesting.
Speaker 1 (05:12):
Yes, they're they're quite dynamic as well. When you when
you look at their bodies of work and how long
they've been doing it, I can't imagine like I always started,
like you know, falling out maybe like last four or
five years, but it goes way.
Speaker 2 (05:26):
Beyond that, Like it's insane on how many people, how
long people have been doing this too. So just kind
of sort of seeing their experience throughout everything. It's something
that makes me continue doing it and it makes me
feel a lot more comfortable in there than I would
(05:47):
in a wrestling like amateur wrestling style.
Speaker 1 (05:50):
Matt definitely. He talk about when you saw Kylie Ray
be announced for the WWID and she said, you knew
her prior to starting on the Freelance Academy and now
she's ID.
Speaker 2 (06:05):
Like that's like, if anyone in freelance deserves w WE
I D, it is Brianna, it is Kylie Ray. She
has one of the hardest workers I've seen. She's one
of the nicest people I know and just kind of
and just kind of going on to continue that. She's
(06:28):
just been herself and if you take a look at her,
she's the most overperson at Freelance, Like she's the most
overfaced out of anyone who is on the roster, and
I feel like, wwe I d not have only I've
just picked up a huge signing. But I also think
(06:48):
that with that, it just it makes so much sense
as to why.
Speaker 1 (06:53):
I agree And I can't wait to see, uh, you
know that come to Fruition as well. But will with
her if that does, because obviously with the W is
a huge commitment and is you probably no more than anyone.
It's the ultimate ball, but the ultimate place, but you
have to sacrifice, right.
Speaker 2 (07:11):
Yeah, but if we're all being being honest, she has
earned it more than anyone, any wrestler that has had
it so far.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
Yeah, for sure. And then you've talked about your debut
match so at Freelance versus the Emporium in August, this
was a pre show match, so it was not advertised.
Uh were you able to tell anyone about it? Or
was it one of those things you got to keep
it close to your chest?
Speaker 3 (07:40):
Kind of a bit of both.
Speaker 2 (07:42):
The night that I found out that I was debuting,
the first person I immediately told was my dad, Like
almost immediately when I got the news, I went up
to him, and I'm like, dude, dude, dude, He's like what.
So a couple of people did no going into it,
but when it comes to like announcing it publicly, I
(08:06):
kind of kept that a bit more under wraps until
it was a little bit closer to the show, okay,
because I want is the way and how I saw
the match was it should be secret. But once you
see one of the opponents in it, that's when a
lot of the hype comes up.
Speaker 1 (08:25):
Definitely, Antonio Edzel was your debut opponent, So talk about
being in that intimate setting, which is with the emporium,
and how were you nervous. I'm sure you were a
little nervous, right.
Speaker 3 (08:38):
Yeah, Like I had.
Speaker 2 (08:41):
I had borderline less than a month to get ready
and mentally, emotionally and physically prepare.
Speaker 3 (08:48):
Myself for that.
Speaker 2 (08:49):
But the hugest thing was the fact that I was
going with Antonio, even though he made his debut a
lot earlier within the year, me and him came up
at the same time, making our first day at the
same time, I think end of July, start of August.
But being in there with him was nerve wracking because
(09:13):
he's a lot stronger of a dude. He's a lot
more powerful of a dude. So so I kind of
had my work cut out for me. But I loved
working with him. It was fun to bounce off who
I was as a wrestler and as a character with him.
And he know, he knew how to lay it in,
which is something I was hoping for with that.
Speaker 1 (09:36):
Definitely. Yeah, he's a He's one tough you know, humbrey
right there. Man. I just I just feel like anybody's
in a that's a tough outing for anybody.
Speaker 2 (09:48):
I mean, just ask the Tornado Kid. The dude still
had the similar situation to.
Speaker 4 (09:52):
Me, dude, true and and Tornado Kid is someone that
you got to go in the ring where in the
scramble match prior to that you have you done anything
with Tornado.
Speaker 3 (10:05):
Kid, believe it or not?
Speaker 2 (10:07):
No, Actually, I've only I've only ever seen him within freelance.
Speaker 3 (10:13):
The closest we ever got was at Third Coast.
Speaker 2 (10:16):
We kind of had like a little food fight okay
in between with like the entire Third Coast family. But
I don't think me and him interacted once. I do
know that I smashed a pumpkin over someone's head, So
that was fun.
Speaker 1 (10:31):
Nice. Nice, Well, hopefully you'll have that match for Tornado kiddies.
He just seems to be ready to go against anybody
any time. Would you like to face him at the
Academy But you know, I was gonna mention the Academy
Show later, but the Academy Guardians of the Academy Show.
Speaker 2 (10:49):
For me personally, I would be all right facing off
against him. I don't believe we're going to be facing
off at the Academy Show though, okay, And the only
reason why I believe we could face is just for
people to see me get n F twenty.
Speaker 1 (11:04):
Nice.
Speaker 3 (11:06):
But for for me, just even being.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
In the ring with Tornado Kid is a lot of fun,
just because he's done the backs off of.
Speaker 1 (11:15):
Oh for sure. He's very exciting. And we got to
see him doing a huge dive on top of you
guys at the scramble match too.
Speaker 2 (11:23):
Dude knew how to how to jump to like geez m.
I don't think I've ever seen a Tornado flip.
Speaker 1 (11:32):
Yes, I know, no, it was impressive, Like wow, it was.
It was a highlight reel for sure. And now you're
going back to Logan Square like this, this this venue
is so great, like how how was it for you
getting ready for this prelude match, know whing You're in
the ring with five other people and yeah, you're you're
(11:53):
gonna you're all gonna really show out.
Speaker 2 (11:56):
Very very similar to the one at Emporium, but there
was a lot more nerves. I'm actually gonna jump over
to my first match with Blair because that's the nurse
for Logan Square. Was like up to here, right, no
idea how the people would be. I don't know if
they would like me, I don't know if they would
hate me. But the second I got out there, it
(12:18):
all just kind of went away. And I went back
over to the to the Darren Corbin Invitational. Just being
around all of those people, fellow students and Darren Corbin alike,
was something that was crazy. So just kind of preparing
for that, I thought, I'm going to be out there,
(12:39):
I'm going to make sure that these people know who
the local surfer is. And that's the mentality that I've
been going into with the last couple of matches I've had.
Speaker 1 (12:51):
Definitely man and that was another fun match, very memorable
and yeah, like you said, you did you did get
to do something with Blair on the pre show as well,
So that kind you're probably glad happy that you had
that that that kind of you know, understand it was
a warm up, but you know, that kind of match
to gauge the audience then rather you're just going for
(13:12):
the first time at Logan Square in a scramble.
Speaker 3 (13:14):
Match exactly exactly.
Speaker 2 (13:18):
But even even being being with Blair, it feels comfortable
being in the ring, Like I don't know the right
word to say it, but being around Logan Square auditorium
in that ring makes me feel like I'm in practice,
Like it feels like night and day to me.
Speaker 1 (13:38):
That's that's great. I think you're just you're naturally adapted
to it, probably right over time, hopefully. And now what's
your thoughts on your upcoming opponents in this matchup? You're
gonna be taking on I Candy, Elliat, Alfredo, Albert Terr,
Isaiah as the last guest, Trevor Outlaw, and Angel Ascalera.
(14:00):
We know that Trevor's been running his mouth, He's been
talking a big game for twenty twenty five. This guy
does he rubbed you the wrong way?
Speaker 2 (14:10):
If I'm being honest, he kind of does. Like if
I'm being honest, even just being being running the gear,
like being the gear man.
Speaker 3 (14:18):
He's rubbed me the wrong way.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Okay, but but I don't let people go past me
like that, Like I don't let stuff bother me.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
I you know, I'm mostly chill.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
The problem with him came at the end of last
show when he shoved me in the in a wall
during a conversation with my bro Tornado kid, right like that,
that's just not cool, bro, Like, that's not chill.
Speaker 3 (14:44):
I thought we were all chill. I thought we were
all bros on it, you know.
Speaker 1 (14:48):
Yes, so the rooted.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
Is going to face off against the Chillist and I'm
just gonna surf my waves. Man.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
Yes, I can't wait. Man. I told I made a
little prediction, you know, I said that watch out Trevor
Reglar's coming.
Speaker 3 (15:07):
Watch out the waves are here.
Speaker 1 (15:09):
Man. You're gonna go cow Bunga on him for sure. Yeah,
And I listen, Trevor Outlaw is one of those guys
that needs to be taught a lesson and needs to
be brought down a level, you know.
Speaker 2 (15:23):
And and might as well let the most nonchalant guy.
Speaker 1 (15:27):
On the roster do that, right, Yes, yes, yes, I
know you're ready to you you're you're you're prepared, you
got a game plan, especially dealing with him. Exactly exactly
now when the music hits and you are about to
ready to go through that curtain, Like, what is the
feeling through your body?
Speaker 2 (15:49):
A mix of how I think a jellyfish would feel like,
kind of a bit, a bit nervous, but also moving
m And then the second that I hear the wipeout end,
that's when it. That's when something just flicks in my
head and I'm like, all right, let's go time dudes.
(16:11):
Nice Like it feels like a build up and it's
a build up that I need to get ready for.
And then once the build up is done, that's when
I'm here.
Speaker 1 (16:25):
That's a great description of what you're doing it because
many people don't know. You know, a lot of fans
they I just always imagine my acting I had your
there's gotta be some kind of nervousness, so she wouldn't
be doing this right.
Speaker 2 (16:38):
Yeah, Hey, that just shows that you care about it.
Being nervous is how much you care about this, definitely.
Speaker 1 (16:46):
And so we'll talk about the fan base that has
grown in the logos Qudatorium and how how how much
excited when they are, you know, doing chance and they're
reacting to your your moves, they react to your you know,
your taunt, your pose this How is that for you?
Speaker 3 (17:04):
It is insane.
Speaker 2 (17:06):
It's a different feeling altogether. Like there's a huge difference
when you're in a practice room and you're hearing people
you know, fear for you react to what you do
and it and it gets you ready for it, but
it doesn't get you ready for when you actually get it.
Like after I did the coffin drop at the middle
(17:29):
point of our last of the last scramble match, when
I heard the surfs up coming from the other side
of Logan square, like, I almost shed a tear. It
was crazy. No, I don't expect I didn't expect.
Speaker 1 (17:45):
That, you know, right, Well, that's that's awesome, man, It's
it's great. You've got such an organic response, and uh,
it's gonna be one heck of a show coming up
of course, you know. And we had talked about Strafford,
but what about your other opponents?
Speaker 2 (18:05):
Oh okay, so going on more of more of my opponents.
Another person that I'm very excited to be in the
ring with for the first time is Isaiahs like he's.
Speaker 3 (18:16):
Been he's been running in his mouth.
Speaker 2 (18:17):
I've seen him on the outside of a lot of
world title matches and even just in the ring.
Speaker 3 (18:23):
He is rude. But that's what makes.
Speaker 2 (18:26):
Me excited for this, ya, because you get to see
it from Like let's say, I'm I'm right here, I'm
sitting I'm watching the ring.
Speaker 3 (18:38):
I'm watching the action go on.
Speaker 2 (18:39):
It's a different experience being right there seeing a brutal
move happen, seeing him give a brutal dropkick or a
hard punch. But for me, I want to see how
much of that I can take.
Speaker 1 (18:52):
I can't wait. That's that's another great Like you said,
you're gonna get in there with a guy who is
a trainer, but he's rubbing people the wrong way, yourself
including me. So get let's get after it, right.
Speaker 2 (19:04):
Like I do my best to stay at a at
a backstage stuff whenever it comes to like the bad guys,
but if they come across me, that that doesn't give
me a right to just stand by and just let
things happen, you know.
Speaker 1 (19:18):
Right for sure? And sorry, oh, I just say he's
been running his mouth about me in my podcast as well,
So I don't mind seeing him get what's coming in
Thank you man. And I know, I know he's just
likes to be mean and rude to everybody.
Speaker 2 (19:36):
You know, and most of the time you you can
go your life just laying people like that, roll off
your shoulder, roll off your back. But for me, like
the last time I was in the ring with a
person in his group was Saban, and I gave him
my glasses and he kicked me in the in the gut.
So so I guess that shows me what I have
(19:58):
to look forward to when it comes to isaiahs.
Speaker 1 (20:02):
Yeah, yes, yeah, yeah, you gotta be careful and you
don't talk about saman Look at can you tell us
about Saban and Coda Hernandez. This is a lot of
a lot of history between these two. We didn't see
this match coming. Now it's a ride for the legacy title.
What are your thoughts? You know you're trained with both guys, and.
Speaker 2 (20:20):
My thoughts are are simple and easy. These boys deserve
this spot like they're One of them went down one path,
the other one went down the other path. One of
them let let fame and power power corrupt him. The
other one let the fans bring him into the light
and look at where he is now, right, And since
(20:43):
he's in the light and the other one is not,
this is going to be a match that I think
is going to have a lot, a lot of hard
shots and I am excited to see that one, but
for sure, And.
Speaker 1 (20:57):
That's what's one of the cool things is you guys
have that balcony. You can stand and watch all the
rest of the matches when you're done.
Speaker 2 (21:04):
Yeah, Like, and I've seen like Ruben's head an impressive
twenty twenty four And even when I came in, he
when he was still I don't know if he was
heal completely or if he was slowly turning face like
I can. I came in when he was still feuding
with isaiahs. So to see him slowly get the crowd
(21:25):
with him and get that push towards the right direction
is something that has come naturally and is something that
has been amazing to witness just being around that crowd,
like you feel all of it.
Speaker 3 (21:39):
And I felt so much, so much passion.
Speaker 2 (21:43):
From that crowd with him, and that's something that you
can't replicate with a lot of people.
Speaker 1 (21:49):
Definitely, for sure. I can't wait to see that matchup
as well, and then you know, you had the other
couple of opponents. Angel Escallera and I believe Alfred I'll
bitter well talked about.
Speaker 3 (22:04):
Both of them.
Speaker 2 (22:05):
I'm very excited to finally share a freelance ring with them.
Angel this is gonna be the first time I've been
around him in the ring, and just seeing how he's been,
how he's been within the ring, I am more than
excited for this. He's fun, he's goofy. He knows how
how to strike when he's ready, and he knows how
(22:26):
to fly as well. So let's let's see what happens
when it comes when it comes time for for that.
But Fredo, last time I saw my saw my dude, Fredo,
it was at Galley at Blue Island and me and
him were on the same side nice. So there's there's
a bit of love love when it comes when it
(22:48):
comes to him. But at the end of the day,
it's ever man for himself and I wouldn't blame him
if he tossed me out of the ring and pin
me mm hmm.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
Down to the ring. My bad.
Speaker 1 (23:01):
And you also have eye candy, Elliott, so we can't
forget about eye candy.
Speaker 3 (23:06):
You don't remind me, bro.
Speaker 2 (23:09):
The last time I was I was with him, I
thought I had it. I thought I had my first
win at emporium, and then not only did he slam
me on top of a tornado.
Speaker 3 (23:22):
In the face.
Speaker 2 (23:25):
That was you're saying about surfers is surfers surprisingly have
a great memory, and either one, then I don't forget.
Speaker 1 (23:37):
Yeah, so you better watch out. You'll see that opening.
You'll He's not He's not an easy guy to you know.
You gotta be careful all your approach him in that ring. Right.
Speaker 3 (23:47):
Yeah, he's very tricky. He's very sneaky.
Speaker 2 (23:50):
But now that I've had not one but two matches, wait,
wait minute, this will be my second time with them. Yes,
I think I think I can figure out his tricks.
Speaker 1 (24:03):
Okay, Well, we look forward to seeing that there's gonna
be a heck of a scramble match and a heck
of a show. You know, no ring time for the week.
It's got everything that you want on a on a
wrestling event.
Speaker 2 (24:17):
There's a there's pretty much everything that you can ask for.
There's more action on here, and the you just thing
for me is just the simple fact that I feel
like this show is going to get this year off
to the right start that it needs for sure.
Speaker 1 (24:31):
Hopefully two have your hand being raised in that scramble
will Reagan Lydell. She won the last scramble match, the
Darren Corbin Invitational, So hopefully you can help her out
in the future because she's got Darren Corbin and the
other two guys that are with her, they're bad, They're
(24:52):
up to no good.
Speaker 2 (24:54):
I mean, I mean she could use I mean, she
could use a little bit of backup in that situation.
I mean, Darren Cormyn, CJ, and surprisingly RJ. Sowell all
banning together. It's kind of crazy to see all four
of them in that situation.
Speaker 3 (25:12):
But I feel like she could use some backup.
Speaker 2 (25:16):
I don't know if I would be involved in that
because if you remember, we were chill. Yeah, she still
kicked me in the face.
Speaker 1 (25:25):
Yeah, she did that spinning heel kick right here, right
ben heel.
Speaker 3 (25:29):
Kick, And I thought I was good. I thought I
was good, and i'f go the glasses.
Speaker 1 (25:34):
Yes, sure, Well, it's gonna be an interesting night, definitely.
And when you look up at the business right now,
like it's booming professional wrestling, Like how excited you to
go to different states. And who else do you look
up into in the business right now?
Speaker 3 (25:55):
Uh? Who else do I look up to in the business?
Speaker 1 (25:58):
Yeah?
Speaker 2 (25:59):
If I had had to say, who else, person by
the name of Blake down at New down At I
believe New Texas, Okay, dude, Dude was the person who
trained Kylie one of the people who helped trained Kylie Ray.
And he's just generally been one of the nicest people
I've I've gotten to talk with. I've not seen him
(26:21):
a lot a lot down in Chicago, but whenever he
comes down to Chicago, it is always a blessing to
see him. Always positive, always supportive, always has a positive
energy and is very supportive and on top of that
is to the point. And that's something that I've that
I've seen a lot of and have and I've been
(26:43):
taken that wisdom.
Speaker 3 (26:44):
To heart as well.
Speaker 1 (26:46):
What's his full name, Blake?
Speaker 2 (26:48):
I don't remember what his last name is off the
top of my head.
Speaker 1 (26:53):
Well, is he still wrestling or just just still nice? Cool? Well,
that's that's great. What wrestlers outside of freelance are on
your radar right now? I know you go to Gali,
you go to Midwest Shempishire Wrestling. Anybody there did you think? Oh,
I'd love to have matches with them.
Speaker 2 (27:15):
In terms of locations, I want to go to Second Wrestling. Okay,
there's a lot of people, familiar faces and a bunch
of new faces I haven't seen quite yet. But if
I had to say wrestlers on my radar, there's three.
(27:35):
There's three on the top of my head. And just
to make it a bit more interesting, I'm going to
exclude people who are in the scramble. Okay, So the
first person who's on my head is Raphael Quintaro.
Speaker 1 (27:50):
Nice.
Speaker 2 (27:51):
He had a really good second half of twenty twenty
four and just seeing him at Galley shows, CSW shows
caught my eye and I think it would be a
fun a fun back and forth with us.
Speaker 1 (28:07):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 2 (28:08):
Another person who's on my who's on my radar is
a singles match against C. J.
Speaker 3 (28:16):
Martin.
Speaker 2 (28:17):
Okay, just strictly because that scramble match kind of opened
up my eyes to more of what he could do,
and I would and I would love to share the
rain with him, just the two of us.
Speaker 3 (28:32):
And the last person who is on my radar. They
were just on my head and got it.
Speaker 2 (28:51):
The last person who who is on my radar is Etsio.
Oh okay, nice, And that's that's mostly down to the
simple fact that I'm a sucker for for facing off
against big, bigger guys. Like, if there's a person who
can who can throw me, who can toss me, I
want to go in there.
Speaker 3 (29:11):
And if I'm being honest, I.
Speaker 2 (29:13):
Would be more open to run a match against against
Etsio because I know he can throw me.
Speaker 1 (29:23):
Yes, we know he could throw people. People that just
uh you know, don't to the match dome to walls.
I had to bring that.
Speaker 2 (29:33):
Up, being honest, That's the only reason why I why
I put him on, because honestly, I wanted to see
if if you would bring it up.
Speaker 1 (29:44):
Okay, yeah, because I was right there. I was living
next to the wall.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
Dang dang.
Speaker 2 (29:51):
But I do feel like a match against Etso would
be a lot of fun.
Speaker 1 (29:54):
Oh yeah, I think so too. He's gotten better and he's,
like you said, he's big and he's posing. So why not?
Speaker 3 (30:03):
I announce you a reason? Why not?
Speaker 1 (30:06):
And is there any advice for the pro wrestling trainees
that want to make it. I'm sure there's new trainees
that come to freelance Wrestling Academy. So anybody listening that's
that's a trainee in pro wrestling. How what is there
your advice? Even though you're still young and you're still
new in the business. What could you tell.
Speaker 2 (30:22):
Them if I had to say the best advice? And yes,
we have gotten a whole bunch of new students too.
So as a little bit of advice for someone who's
starting off in wrestling or is new to the circuit,
stick with it. But know when your limit is, Know
when you are being Know when you're have to be
(30:44):
stronger than you are, smarter than you are, faster than
you are. But also no know when you have reached
that limit because once because once you go past that limit,
if it's time for you to stop, and you don't stop,
there's more bad stuff that could happen.
Speaker 1 (31:02):
Right Well, that that makes sense. You gotta kind of
reel yourself in, right.
Speaker 2 (31:06):
Yeah, Or I like to say, as I like to
say as Trent, life goes too fast. There's too much
too fast, but you can make it go your own pace.
Bro take your time.
Speaker 1 (31:18):
Man, definitely and describe Trent reglely and how close is
this persona to you?
Speaker 3 (31:26):
Okay?
Speaker 2 (31:28):
So Trent Wrigley is about fifty close to how I
am as a normal person. He is a laid back, chill,
nonchalant guy who's who's more happy to go through life
with a smile.
Speaker 3 (31:42):
On his face.
Speaker 2 (31:44):
He is a bit of He is a bit dumb, admittedly,
but as long as he has some nice waves in
his future, he's gonna get up for the next day
for sure.
Speaker 1 (31:55):
Definitely, And you have a little bit of that experience.
And so right, okay.
Speaker 2 (32:04):
Believe it or not, a lot of the wrestling stuff
actually came from not just wrestling, but a little bit
of the surfer stuff actually came from back when I
did amateur wrestling.
Speaker 1 (32:15):
Oh really, yeah.
Speaker 2 (32:17):
Because for me, it's a little bit of a similar
similar thing. If you look at it, you have to
stay close to the board, you have to stay close
to your opponents, you have to keep your mind mind right.
You have to keep your mind right. But also at
the same at the same time, if you let it
affect you too much, then that's when the match goes
(32:37):
up in the air.
Speaker 1 (32:39):
Okay, Oh that's interesting.
Speaker 2 (32:43):
And then also when it came to am wrestling, I
was just relaxing, like my my face could be mad,
but in my mind, I'm just.
Speaker 1 (32:56):
It's not true and that's cool. Well, hey, I mean,
amateur wrestling is just totally different than what you guys do,
so sure that transition is not an easy one.
Speaker 2 (33:08):
Not not entirely, not entirely. It makes it more fun though, it.
Speaker 1 (33:13):
Makes a lot more fun and for sure, and if
anybody that wants to check you out, make sure to
tell them how they can find you on social media.
Speaker 3 (33:23):
Social media.
Speaker 2 (33:24):
You can find me on Facebook at at either Alexander
McKay or Trent Wrigley Trent Wrigley. You can find me
find me on my Instagram page at Trent Wriggley five
zero nine. I wish I wrote this down honestly and
similar thing to my Twitter at Wrigley five five o nine,
(33:48):
but I believe that's it for my socials actually.
Speaker 1 (33:52):
Okay, well great, hey, Trent. I appreciate you being on
PW Report, man, glad to have you on. It was
fun to get to know you, and I just needed
to do one thing for me to do a quick
shout out for the PW Report. I'll stop this recording
and I'll start a new one. Is that cool?
Speaker 2 (34:09):
Heck? Yeah, that's cool. Seriously, thank you for having me on.
It was a lot of fun. Man,
