Speaker 1 (00:02):

Pro Rustling and Forster. We're talking to the young hottest
prospects in professional wrestling from the Chicago indepenn wrestling scene
and we're welcoming Alfredo alvid Or two PW Report. Make
sure to check it out. He'm out because he's a
graduate of the Freelance Wrestling Academy and you know you'll
be in action this Friday at Freelance Wrestling Presents no
(00:24):
ring time for the week. You know there's a scramble
match that he's gonna be featured in. Is gonna have
I Candy Elliott, Trent Wrigley, isaiahs Velasquez, Trevor Outlaw, and
Angel Escaleiram And also make sure to check him out
at Second Wrestling. He's the Go Go Champion. He'll be
an action this Saturday at Second Thriller at the Miller too.
And make sure yes he's got it right there. He's
(00:47):
always ready, Yes he does. And he's also wrestled for
All Heel Wrestling, Third Coast Wrestling, Iron Spirit, bro I Believe,
and also All Star Luca lebre So Albrado. We've had
a busy year since we lasted our interview and was
back at a Freelance Resting Academy show of twenty twenty four,
(01:07):
And now it's twenty twenty five and it's almost a year.
So how are you doing, my friend? Welcome back on.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
I appreciate what they brought me in. Very excited for
today's interview. But man, col, like you said, you know,
there's been a lot going on, a lot of things change,
a lot of things coming at your lightning speed. But yeah,
I've been very excited, very happy to go on this journey.
Speaker 1 (01:27):
Truth is told for sure. Since your debut, how has
pro wrestling changed your life?
Speaker 2 (01:35):
Oh my god, it's like it's a whole new vision.
You know, whether you watch matches on TV or watching
it live. I guess your wrestling brain really kicks in
now you're thinking, like, all right, what's the story here,
what's the mechanics? What are they working on? I no
longer simply view as oh my god, it's entertained. No,
I break it down in my brain and say where
are we at? What are we doing here? So it
really gives a new perspective that heart explained, but it's
(01:57):
very excited to use.
Speaker 1 (01:59):
Okay, well, I can I can. I can definitely understand that.
I know that you you'll be watching the shows at
Freelance even if you weren't on the show. You were
doing that leaning up to your debut. I would see
you at you know, fans would see you at the shows,
but you hadn't wrestled yet.
Speaker 2 (02:14):
Asolutely that I was like, what four long years, so
just studying by the show. So the time came right
and yeah, March ninth, twenty twenty fourth, finally happened, the
drinking True Sean. I was finally able to debut. Now
it just has to carve Mount's story and put my
work into it.
Speaker 1 (02:29):
Definitely. And your debut match again the Freelance Wrestling Academy Show.
I forget the title to it, but run the rope,
Run the road room. Okay, uh, Now, you were in
that scramble match and you had Trevor Outlaw that's in
that match. Reagan I believe was in that match and
a few other your fellow Academy debuts as well. So
(02:50):
how how exciting was that?
Speaker 2 (02:52):
Actually? Actually, by the way, that was the other Afraid
because we have two of them now. Yeah, I was
part of the Gauntlet match where I with Nakotis.
Speaker 1 (03:01):
Yeah, yeah, the big picture, big.
Speaker 2 (03:04):
Picture invitation I was used to call it, but yeah,
that was my debut.
Speaker 1 (03:08):
And like when you had that debut match, you had
obviously family and friends there. How excited were you just
to show what you had been putting in the work
to get.
Speaker 2 (03:18):
To unreal Again, i'm'st not like a broken record, and
I already do when I talk to people, but really
a dream come true. This is something I really never
thought would become possible when I first joined the Academy
back in twenty twenty. Even then, never thought that was
what happened. So to go out there, I know people
are telling me, and when I got down backstage, you're like, hey,
you look excited, you look energetic. I my brother, Hell's
(03:41):
on me out there. I was just pure raw emotion.
I still don't even fully process it yet that it happened,
And as you can see, it does continue to bring
a smile to my face when I do recall on
this specific day.
Speaker 1 (03:54):
Yes, for sure. And since then, the Academy has moved
so that won't be held at that location. Instead, it'll
be even bigger. It'll be at the Logan Square Auditorium
and it'll be part of a two double shot weekend
for freelance wrestling. So how excited are you for that?
You know you're gonna have that show, and then obviously
there'll be another show going on that.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Honestly, the emotion is buzzing everywhere, not only for the talent,
but for the students, even the fans. I know, we
always hear the sense of like, man, there should be
more freelance. Man, I wish I could see you guys
more out there. Well now you can kind of you
just say, we have one going at three pm, our
third annual Academy Showcase show. The students are gonna come
together and do the best work they can. As always
(04:38):
I said, I will be there some recently, the beauty
kids will be there, but we also have the next
generation of freelance athletes who will be debuting as well.
That's inciting in and of itself. And again, just to
echo your sentiment, later that night at eight pm, all right,
the next Freelance event show was its top base. We
see the squad beautiful name and we're gonna have all
(04:59):
the main regular up there. So two for one top
of day. You really can't complain with that.
Speaker 1 (05:03):
Yeah, for sure. I'm sure you're excited just be on
the Academy Show. But imagine if you have the opportunity
to work both shows. Have you done that before? Oh no, no,
same day. No.
Speaker 2 (05:14):
I pray and wait for that day to happen. I'll
be more than happy they tell me, like, hey, brother,
we need somebody from Scramble.
Speaker 1 (05:20):
One on one.
Speaker 2 (05:21):
It's available. Hey, I'm I'm raising my hand. I want
to do to and one. I'd be more than happy.
Speaker 1 (05:25):
To exactly, I'd be that'd be great then, you you know,
kind of like the fans can follow you from one
one event to the next event and and see how
you do.
Speaker 2 (05:34):
For sure.
Speaker 1 (05:35):
Yeah, and you know we only have one match announced
for the Academy Show. Do you have any idea what
match you're going to have or you don't. You can't
discuss it yet.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
They gave me a teaser. Of course it was present options,
so they gave me an idea. But either way, no
matter what it is, I'm very excited. Kind of like
you said, I did debut March ninth, but when it
comes to events, event wise, this would be my one
year anniversary as I debuted in the second Added Student show,
so I really don't mind what kind of match it is.
(06:07):
I'm just excited because, man, this is this is my
way to celebrate mamoled anniversary. And as you've probably been
seeing recently on my social medias and whatnot, a lot
really has changed. A lot has changed with me, my presentation,
and most importantly my reenwork. So to see how far
I've come and how things have changed, oh, it's going
to be awesome from night to day last year to
(06:28):
this year. I'm just honestly excited. And excited is a
word that I'm going to keep throwing around because that's
all I A few.
Speaker 1 (06:35):
That's great and we can't wait to see. And there's
gonna be some new talent debuting from the Freelance Dressing
Academy as well that night that we may I've heard
of yet.
Speaker 2 (06:43):
Erect And it's kind of like you just said earlier
that I was, you know, sidelining the show, just watching
when from opportunity. The same thing with these kids, Man,
they've been watching excited, they've been rightfully so doing the work,
and they rightfully so earned their spots, so we're just
as excited for them finally get to see, like, hey,
all right, kids. You did the work, you did the
ring set up, you watch the show, you come to class,
(07:05):
show the world we can do.
Speaker 1 (07:06):
Now now when you go into the Second Wrestling, this
is your inaugural Go Go Championship. This is defended on
the pre show for Second Wrestling events right as of now.
Speaker 2 (07:19):
That is correct, this baby right here, the Go Go Championship.
That is correct, Sean. It is strictly defended at the
pre shows for these events.
Speaker 1 (07:28):
And you have this big show coming up Thriller in
the Miller too. We don't have a match up listed
for you yet, but correct. Look you look at the
talent roster, it's pretty stacked.
Speaker 2 (07:39):
Oh man, absolutely, And I'm so proud of Second you
know because I remember when I first heard it was
starting up, and I was like, man, that's exciting. Another
Chicago promotion. I love it. I like the presentation and
kind of just said I started going to the shows
just watching, you know, helping out a little bit, and
I got my ten to debut and to see how
much it's grown. I mean, come on, they just announced
Kylie Ray is going to be the viewing next month
(08:01):
or this month. I should say. That's amazing. You know,
they're attracting big names, so to see their transformation as well.
Very awesome, Very happy to be part.
Speaker 1 (08:09):
Of their promotion and they can Would you be able
to defend the title against women wrestlers? Have you ever
had an inter gender match?
Speaker 2 (08:17):
I'm gonna be honest to you, not yet. I haven't
had an intergender match, but I am excited. I know
one person who funny enough, whether you're mentioned or not, Gpa,
He's had a lot of intergender matches. If you really
take a look at his career, there are great matches.
There is a bunch of great female talent out there.
So I'm happy to see when it will be my
(08:37):
turn to check it up with somebody, you know, kind
of throw some people off and we'll see how that goes.
Speaker 1 (08:42):
Okay, well, they might be coming for you because you
have that second championship.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
Correct they When they announced my first title defense, I
saw they gave the fans a chance to tag people in. Yeah,
a lot of female talent in the local area were taged.
Speaker 3 (08:56):
So hey to them. I welcome them to Hey, come
on in, let's see what you're trying to do. And
you're and you're in your match last month for that belt.
I believe it was like a triple threat, right.
Speaker 1 (09:07):
That was right.
Speaker 2 (09:07):
It was with fellow academy mate Stone Ambrose, who of
course they view it at our first annual student show,
and we also had Eddie Grayson, who you might be
familiar from the Chicago scene as well. CSW.
Speaker 1 (09:19):
Yeah, so how was that match? How was it like
gating in there and gain that first tile defense out
of the way?
Speaker 2 (09:25):
Oh man, it was very nerve wrecking, of course, because
one thing you knows to win the belt, but now
you have to defend it. You have to show and
prove why you are champion to begin with. But it
is also, once again just that word exciting, just getting
to mix it up with different people of different styles,
just come together to give the best show, best performance possible.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
You know, definitely, and you get So what do you
like being able to kick things off too? Does that
you like being the first one out and feel that crowd?
Speaker 2 (09:54):
Absolutely? I just I am a very you know, let's
just get an over way type of person, and I'm
in a great way.
Speaker 1 (10:00):
If you tell me fred oh I.
Speaker 2 (10:01):
Got these things to do for you, I'll take it
out the way and say, hey, we don't got to
wait any longer. Let's do this right now. When I'm
at a show, especially you know with the pre show title. Yeah, absolutely,
it's like, all right, let's get the crowd warmed up,
get out the way, let me get the energy to
good use and just get it out there knock it out.
Speaker 1 (10:18):
Definitely, And you've also had another couple of great shows.
You had the voice right, was that the first time
you stepped in Logan Square to Russell? Or had you
done a Logan Square match prior to that?
Speaker 2 (10:32):
I had done a Logan Square match. The only difference
would have been that that was I guess we could
say my first main card match. Okay, let's say I
was part of the Scramble, but my actual debut at
Logan Square was actually my second match, when I ran
a rematch with Big Picture Nikodis as part of the
pre show.
Speaker 1 (10:51):
Okay, cool. And how much you love being front of
the Logan Square auditorium, Like that's such a great iconic
venue and the crowd is always insane.
Speaker 2 (11:01):
Oh correct, man, this is such a hot crowd, very excited.
And you learn, you know, when you step foot in
the business and perform, you learn, like, hey, sometimes that
that energy the crowd feels you. You will absorb it
and then in turn you will want to amp up
the crowd. That's exactly how I feel those few times
I went out there, the moment I heard them, when
I saw them, and you're like, oh my god, I
(11:22):
feel the electricity. We got to amp it up now.
So I love being there. It's like one of those
things I just didn't imagine, yeah, I'd be performing on LSA,
but now I am. Yeah, trying to show them what
I got.
Speaker 1 (11:34):
Well, we can't wait. That's going to be an exciting
night of action or day rather of action too. And
when you when you've when you have that matchup right,
describe when your music hits the feeling going through your
body before the match.
Speaker 2 (11:51):
Oh my god, vast anxiety. I get nauseous. I get nervous,
But after a while you remember, like, hey, you've done this,
You're doing this for reasons and the calm, collective, deep breath,
and I truly mean it. Once you step out through
the curtain, it's a whole different world. You become a
whole different person, whether you are you're not what you're presenting,
(12:12):
you know, gimmick wise as what you like to call it,
you're gonna feel it, and you're gonna become one and
the same, and you're gonna have to power through it.
I've have had moments where even during my entrance, I've
been like, oh my god, myself is gonna go well.
But majority of time, especially recently, that doesn't really happen.
Once I make my entrance, it's gold time. I recently
became the Mariachiicano, you know, the American born and raised Mariachi,
(12:36):
and that's who I am. I feel that amp up
energy and I accelerated as well, and I tell them,
you know what that's all doing? Its party, Let's go.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
Yeah, tell us about you know, making that a little
bit of transformation with the character we first saw you
kind of like as a brawler, you almost kind of
had a silver look to like Samoa Joe in the ring,
and now you kind of went to the America Mariano
collrec sean.
Speaker 2 (13:03):
So yeah, when I did Beauty, you know, just like
a lot of people like I'm excited, let's get the
gear on, let's go. And I had this kind of
he says, Somo Joe is presentation because I had an
idea in mind. Unfortunately, some of those ideas kind of
fell through and that that was through my fault and
then I learned, hey, it really does happen a lot.
(13:23):
But I guess at the same time, one of the
biggest challenges that plagued me was man afraid of who
are you? Brother? Who? Who when the bell rings? When
you come out there, we get it, you're excited, you
want to wrestle, this is your passion. Well, who are you?
And what separate from the pack? So, you know, really
did take some time sean to think about that, and
a lot of people that know me personally, they know
(13:44):
I don't try with my culture. I love it. It's beautiful.
There's a lot of great artistical parts of it. So
eventually I just told myself, like, you know what, man,
let's just lean to the cultural side of things. We
can do it. This is literally who we are. It's
part of our identity. And one day just flickered after
a lot of ideas bounced back and forth. So, you
(14:04):
know what, I'm gonna be the next wrestling Mariacchi. I
don't think we've had one, and I probably took it
by the horns. And again, just for those who are
kind of confused by the name the Mariachikano, the Mariachi
of American you know, being born here in America of
Mexican descendancy. That is who I am. That is part
of my story which I will leverage to pretty much
(14:25):
use it with my presentation going forward.
Speaker 1 (14:28):
That's awesome, And you've definitely got that look that's gonna
you know, draw eyes and attention.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
Oh for sure. The gear changes, man, it's exciting. One
thing is, you know, the leather fans have been waring
with a little though. But what I got coming soon,
it's gonna blow everybody way even.
Speaker 1 (14:45):
All right, You're gonna debut it at the Logan Square.
Speaker 2 (14:49):
Maybe I'm trying. I'm trying to see, depending what I
know of what my match will be for next month
and what the plan is. But you know, to be decided,
I still have to see what to the side on that.
Speaker 1 (14:59):
And when you talk about your opponents in your upcoming
match of course for the freelance wrestling scramble match for
the you know, no ring time for the week, you
can find any weaknesses you can exploit. I mean, what
do you think of these guys when I when I
listened them out to you, what comes to your name
what comes to your mind, man.
Speaker 2 (15:21):
I mean, let's break it down the list. Trent Ridley,
you know, a hot new talent again, one of those students.
Like I said, he rightfully so deserved and earned his spot.
He's been great with the crowds. We've seen them already,
Sean pre show Scrambles just really lights up the venue.
And that's great, that's awesome. I'm excited to mix it
up with him in some capacity. Then we have Angel Sclera.
(15:43):
Man again real life. We're going behind the curtain here,
a brother than me, so to see that I once
again get to step in the ring with my brother.
Very excited, put a small my face like, hey, we're
gonna do this together. This another chapter of the journey
we get to share together. Now I'm going to the
other side. I'm not happy about them. I can the Elliot,
(16:04):
great talent. We just saw him come back recently, a
free lance. Very excited to mix it up with him.
Never really got to know the guy personally, so we'll
get to see how he is in the ring. Isaiah's
you know he has and we'll be honest, he does
have a special spot in my heart. He is one
of my trainers. Just little disappointing to see where his
(16:25):
actions have taken him, how low he has stooped in
recent time. That is very disheartening. And yeah, as you
saw from the last emporium scramble, he beat the brakes
off me, which I was surprised, brother, ladies. So hopefully
I get my little you know, my little comeback on
him and oh my goodness, Trevor all law. As you
(16:46):
can see he's then, Yeah, exactly, that's my careact like Trevor. Yeah,
you can see the RDY thrown a couple of shots
on social media on X but I already told him
I will slap the sheet of print off his und
all right, I know how, I know how he rolls. Yeah,
I'm gonna be watching my back and hopefully don't really
(17:06):
get a lot in trouble with him because of that.
Speaker 1 (17:08):
Yeah, hopefully, Frank the clown, hopefully not right.
Speaker 2 (17:11):
Hopefully that's another headache. Look, man, the less headache we have,
the better. I've been on a losing streak.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
I freelance.
Speaker 2 (17:17):
I got to fit that over, so I don't need
any funny business going to run.
Speaker 1 (17:20):
You know exactly. Yeah, it's it's gonna be an entertaining match.
And you mentioned as Angel Sclera. You and Angel have
had matches before, right, Yeah, so that should be exciting
to see you to kind of get when you two
are kind of isolating that ring together.
Speaker 2 (17:37):
Oh for sure, for sure. And it's one of those
things where back of your mind you're like, hey, it's cool.
I'm with my friend, I with my brother. It's amazing.
But at the end of the day, we got to
remember this competition trying to win a match. So know
our feelings for Angel, but I hope that when we
both step in that ring, we understand like, hey, we're
all cool. I'll tide these ropes, you know, I'll still
(17:59):
go with you. He had one now, but remember we
need to win a match, so we'll see how that
translates later on.
Speaker 1 (18:06):
True, and he kind of changed it up too, and
with his with his style and gimmick and and he
had he was gone for a little bit, so.
Speaker 2 (18:13):
Of course he was, yes, quite quite a bit of
a break, you know, try to recollect himself, heal himself
a little bit, you know, just thesial stuff every now
and then, just got to take apostle and certain things.
I'm happy to see that No matter what, he never lost.
He never lost a step. Like you said, he came
back with a new presentation, Gasolina, the crowd stand that
they remember him. So it's awesome to see that he
(18:36):
is still, you know, reaping his rewards for his hard
work throughout the years.
Speaker 1 (18:39):
Yes, for sure. I know he had a big match
with Kylie Ray early on in his career, and so
maybe at one point you will have one as well.
I know she's a trainer at freelance, but now she's
kind of got the W E I D tag, so
she's got some responsibilities elsewhere. But would you like that
match happened?
Speaker 2 (18:58):
Oh? Absolutely, I mean, hey, I mean I'm gonna take
a moment right now if you don't mind just to
say dream matches absolutely going one on one with my trainers,
whether it be Kylie Ray, GPA at some point even
Laney is such a very big fan of her work.
And honestly, the one on top of my list once
again breaks my heart. How low he stooped Isaiah's Alaskas.
(19:23):
I've really looked up to him a lot throughout the years.
I'd be lying, I said he wasn't the reason for
a lot of my success, and truth be told. Yeah,
Angel opened the door for me. He said, hey, brother,
come here, wrestle live the dream with me. But it
was through Isaiah's that he led me down the road.
So to see him take a turn against the academy
and against the students, yeah, hopefully not something that gets
(19:47):
out of control, but we'll see how things go within
the scramble match.
Speaker 1 (19:51):
Well, yeah, laid in for me. Man, he's been saying
some talking crap about me in the podcast.
Speaker 2 (19:55):
So, oh, I got your shot for those slats, he's
those chopsy get brother, you're trying to win a match
for a soul.
Speaker 4 (20:04):
No, man, he's vicious that we all knew this, you know,
we all know from Yeah, he's only the podcast sucks
and you know, I know.
Speaker 1 (20:21):
I listen. He's just you know, trying to ruffle feathers.
That's all that's he's He's just all you know, all gas,
all helium. You know. There we go. Ex uh. But
now when you also, let's talk a little bit about
all hell wrestling. Now, how do you get to feel
about going to a completely different audience. You're going all
the way out to where that event was. I believe
(20:44):
it's Woodstock, Illinois, and you and Antonio Y took on
thunder Kid and r J sawas So how is it working?
Speaker 2 (20:51):
That crowd said, very interesting, and it's something that we
were all eventually gonna learn in our journeys. Cross is
different everywhere, Bro, they look at me and Pop and say, yeah,
we're with it. Once you go outside, it's a challenge
of hey, you got to reintroduce yourself. You got to
show them who you are, what you can do, and sometimes,
(21:12):
like in this case, you go against people that just
can outshine you and any aspect, Tornado Kid is a
whole mess, like Tornado Kid is something else. So it's
to be in the ring with him very very fun,
but very chaotic, and it's one of those things where
you really have to work to try and outshine each other.
Speaker 1 (21:31):
Yes, yeah, I know, and they won that match, But
how did you feel Hopefully chance.
Speaker 2 (21:40):
Hopefully they did, because man, yeah they I took a
beating on that one too, and I know I disappointed
Eslee with us taking that law, so I kind of
got to redeem myself over there.
Speaker 1 (21:51):
Yes, and you guys also had matches at Third Coast
Wrestling as.
Speaker 2 (21:54):
Well, correct where I, ironically enough, I teamed up with
a tornado kid and same thing. It was a trip.
It was very interesting. But it's one of those things
where now you will intermingle clash for people from the
local area. So I know one of the matches I
have to shake it up with Eddie Grayson, Jack baalor
again CSW guys we've seen around, even with Jack series.
(22:17):
But it's very fun and interesting. Really, it's hard to
describe it. Just going somewhere. They're like, hey, this is
the change of crowd, this is the change of style
these other people are going against. It's like, hey, I've
seen you before. I an not a person. Let's shake
it up and have fun.
Speaker 1 (22:31):
Okay, is there any other wrestlers outside of freelance that
are on your radar right now that you'd like to wrestle,
like still in the area, like the general area in
the Midwest.
Speaker 2 (22:42):
Man, I'm gonna be honest with you, too many to count,
too many to count, Sewan, because yeah, now that I've
been working for about a year, you have to start
serving the area and say who that I want to
work with, who can potentially work with, and you see
all this amazing talent come out everywhere. One example, Rafael
can Hero he's he's been killing YETO has been killing it.
(23:04):
And we even have talent from other places like mister
Bruce Hamilton, who was even at Iron Spirit. Such an
impressive man to see. So it's just stuff like that.
We're like, man, you just see them get out and
say I want to go with you one day, I
want to go with you. I want to go with you.
So it really is too hard to count Sean.
Speaker 1 (23:20):
Yeah. Yeah, some great names you just mentioned right there.
Speaker 2 (23:23):
Of course, yes, and all roughly so great in their
own stuff.
Speaker 1 (23:27):
And we and Coda Hernandez have you have you got
a chance to be in a ring yet with him?
Speaker 2 (23:32):
No, not yet now with Coda Hernandez yet but another
great prospect that hey maybe someday we'll shake it up
as well.
Speaker 1 (23:40):
Yeah, he was a House of Glory and got on
the show in an unannounced match.
Speaker 2 (23:45):
So I saw that.
Speaker 1 (23:46):
Yeah, I made that debut.
Speaker 2 (23:48):
That was that was pretty bad. That's pretty amazing. It's
always good to see, you know, fellow freelance mats go
out the spotlight like all right, brother, see you working hard.
I believe we also saw Lady Luck and Blair is
that career?
Speaker 1 (23:59):
Ye got you?
Speaker 2 (24:01):
Okay? So honestly, personally, I get happy when I see that.
When you just see somebody, like you said, unannounced, get
that opportunity because they've been working hard for it, or
you can't help but just support, you know, and it's like, man,
that's great. Man, I'll see you up there one day
for sure.
Speaker 1 (24:16):
And then if you had a tag team with anyone
in freelance right now, like who would you pick, Like,
let's say you're going to be in a tag team match,
Let's say.
Speaker 2 (24:27):
Honestly, probably a big, corny, easy answer. My om brother
ain't just Calera man, Okay. I feel like both our styles,
both our presentations can really clash any beautiful cultural way.
Him bringing the Puerto Rican aesthetic, me bring the Mexican
aesthetic into things. But again goes back to what I
said earlier. You know, you get to see your friends,
your brothers, and it's like, hey, you helped me out,
(24:49):
you help me get through this, you help you brought
me into this. Let's rock it out together. And now
that is something that it is on my bucket list
to do eventually.
Speaker 1 (24:57):
Yes, the Freelance Tag Team Championships are finally away from
James Rusto's Oh.
Speaker 2 (25:03):
My God, the choke hold they have those. I'm like, brother,
I remember watching Big Boys and Mercer come in. I'm like, yeah, absolutely,
where I ain't taking that off?
Speaker 1 (25:10):
Nobody, No, Yeah, I'd love to see you you get
in a ring with these guys. You know, Dan and
Dad and Cody Lane are not a tag team champion,
so you never know they're gonna need new uh contenders,
challengers absolutely.
Speaker 2 (25:24):
You know, this title scene has seen a couple of shuffles,
including the world title. We saw pretty much Alfonso take
advantage of opportunity cashing his Red Star medallion. A lot
of shake ups happening, which now can really bring into question,
like man that's crazy, will be next step in line?
Who can challenge these guys? So you never know, Sean,
I may not be up there one day and may
(25:46):
may not be next in line, but most definitely will
continue working to get to that position eventually for sure.
Speaker 1 (25:52):
And then the last freelance rest of the event, Strong
Grayson had an announcement to make and unfortunately, yeah, how
did you feel? I'm hearing that new and kind of
like the place he's at right now, you know, it's
like kind of shoot real life, and I'm not like
oh the story you know.
Speaker 2 (26:10):
Of course, of course, absolutely, no matter what actions you
took in the past or what's going on, kind of
says story. Shoot, eventually we all come to the point where, yes,
we need to rest up a little bit, you know,
our body lives catch up with us. So it was
disheartening to hear that he's got some stuff to take
care of, got to take a break from the ring.
Speaker 1 (26:28):
I get it.
Speaker 2 (26:29):
Being the resting out, I get it. That's passion. And
even before I debuted it, I had a lot of
stopping goals, and for every little stop I was heartbroken
and I was like, man, you got weight on it.
But then to see once again and very disheartening to
see Isaiah's Blaskaz take advantage of such opportunity. The guys
(26:49):
already vulnerable, so you jump him along with Sabing. They
get very cowardly on their part, very disappointed, and it's
one of those things where you just got to look
at them and say, like, man, can't believe you to
do that. But for storm Grace and man, you know,
prayers to him. Hopefully it's okay. Hopefully he gets some
proper rest and they will see him even better, even
stronger than ever, you know.
Speaker 1 (27:10):
Yeah, yeah, he had a great run and another person
had a great run with Kylie Ray and unfortunately she
lost the belt.
Speaker 2 (27:16):
Oh my god.
Speaker 1 (27:17):
Yeah, what was your reaction to scene Alfonse though holding
up that belt because he has been training, I bet
just as long, if not longer than you, right, correct?
Speaker 2 (27:27):
I want to say, yeah, I think Afonso may have one,
and I could be wrong, maybe two years over me.
Actually I should say actually only I'm not even one
percent sure, but I know that he debuted away sooner
than I did, of course. But yeah, at that moment,
just seeing Kylie Ray get jumped, I was like, oh no,
that sucks. And the fuss me as the kids man
(27:48):
you along with the audience. I'm just trying to drink
my water bott we're when this is happening, of course,
and again kind of sucks offense and said opportunity to
somebody vulnerable, But hey, I understand, competition's competition. You gotta
do what you gotta do.
Speaker 5 (28:05):
You got the medallion in your hands, and it's great
to see that somebody you know, who recently started like
well two maybe three years ago, already skyrocket to the
world title picture that it's very amazing.
Speaker 1 (28:17):
Yeah, it was. It's incredible. Even though he didn't do
it cleanly or you know, in a hard Ford match
type of way, you know, he he still you know,
earned his he earned his championship opportunity if you think
about it, because he did win the scramble match. But
he did.
Speaker 2 (28:32):
We have to respect that, and he did deliver an
impressive match with Santana Jackson. So hey, that's just for one.
You can't be dead.
Speaker 1 (28:40):
I agree, I agree, And yeah, moving forward, we'll see
what happens. He has Dan Housen and Dan Nelson has
just come on a completely different wavelength or a completely
different level, you know. So, but it's gonna be interesting
to see those two mix it up.
Speaker 2 (28:54):
Oh absolutely, I re it was gonna be fun. The
style that a Fonso brings to the ring and just
the way he presents himsel with what we already know
is very out of world character from Dan Housen. Yeah,
it's gonna be great. I'm actually excited to watch it.
Speaker 1 (29:09):
Yeah, me as well. I think it's gonna be a
fun match and the main event of I hope, well,
we don't know if it will be the main event,
but it should be it's gonna be one of those
those great matches. The Bang bros Are on there, They're
always great, so much great talent and freelance. And I
really do like the fact that now the freelance Academy
wrestlers are getting opportunities on the show more and more.
Speaker 2 (29:32):
Oh absolutely, and it means the world to all of us,
even if it's something like the Scramble. Hey, trust me, Sean,
we don't complain around here, we really don't. We take
the opportunity, take it by the horns, and we ride
with it. And kind of you said, I am happy
to see that all these Academy students that you should
see every now and then, like Hippie Holls, Cameron even
(29:52):
are good Boy Stone Ambros. Just people you saw now
and then. But like you said, now they're really consistently
taken over and I think that is truly a testament
of how far the Academy not only has come by
the hard if these students have been working, including myself,
I'm getting these opportunities, which hey, I'm all here for.
Speaker 1 (30:11):
Definitely, any advice for anybody that wants to do what
you do, like wants to make it in the business
and pro wrestling.
Speaker 2 (30:20):
Absolutely to Louis your steps. First one, find yourself a
good school if you're here in the Chicago area or
anywhere near. We do have Freelance Resting Academy which we
are always taking applicants. And then the second one, man,
just put your heart into it, no matter what happens,
just just do it. And I hate to just keep
it as simple, but it really is the truth. Sean,
just do it. I myself did not know what think
(30:41):
this would happen. I don't know where to start. Heck,
I'm honest with you, I will nowhere near physically ready
to do this kind of line of work. First week
was horrible not doing it. So if I could do it,
if everybody else around me is doing it, you can
do it too.
Speaker 1 (30:55):
I don't agree everybody could do it, but inside I
just don't get the messenger. Now come on, I think
I did, but I think you guys have you guys
definitely got Yeah. You know I took advantage of what
is giving you and I appreciate you being on the
PW Report Rado, So please do me a favor and
(31:16):
