Speaker 1 (00:02):
Well, Shawn Lennon, your humble host of p WE Report,
and right now we are welcoming woman's independent professional wrestler
Lee lah Hall. She is currently has one half of
the Hooligan Pro Wrestling Women's Tag Team Champions with Ali Albright,
and make sure to check out July twelfth, they will

(00:22):
face the Goons and she will face both Sophia Rose
and Rachel Armstrong at p W e Epic July eleven,
strictly business. And we've seen her at Powell Wrestling, Second Wrestling,
the Black Label Pro Wrestling as well in the area,
and we welcome her on the show. And she's also

(00:42):
a CIW Women's Champion, and we've seen that she trains
at the House of Truth and so one of the time.
You know, I've been told one of the top rising
stars of women's wrestling in the Midwest. So welcome on
p w A.

Speaker 2 (00:57):
Thank you for having me.

Speaker 1 (01:00):
It's my pleasure for sure. I wanted to, you know,
start off with you. You know how you've gotten into
professional wrestling and change your life for the better. You've
trained at the House of Truth, which is really established
in Michigan, and so with pro wrestling big in your
life growing.

Speaker 2 (01:16):
Up kind of.

Speaker 3 (01:19):
Yeah, So I started watching when I was younger with
my dad, and then I think towards middle school, I
kind of fell out of it. And then I think
towards my junior year of high school, which was twenty
twenty two, I like I didn't know what I wanted
to do when I was older, and I went downstairs
and I saw wrestling on TV, and I was like,

(01:41):
oh my god, I want to do that when I'm older.
And I think since then, I'm just like, i want
to be a professional wrestler. And I've done everything that
I can to get where I am today from ever
since that day, so.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
For sure. And then did you ever imagine yourself being
in a match like back then?

Speaker 3 (02:00):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (02:00):
Oh I did, but like.

Speaker 3 (02:04):
I never knew what it would actually be like it
was so different. Like before I wrestled, I was like, oh,
I'm you know, I'm gonna wrestle this, like I'm gonna
do whatever. But then once I actually had my first match,
I'm like, oh my god, it's it's completely different from
what I thought.

Speaker 1 (02:19):
Yeah, I can only imagine.

Speaker 4 (02:20):
And when you started doing this at the house, the truth,
what were the biggest obstacles you had to overcome.

Speaker 3 (02:28):
Oh, definitely. I think I've always been like a shy person.
So like during training, it was everything was completely new,
Like I didn't like it was a bunch of new people,
like new trainers. I didn't know anyone, So that was
definitely something I'd get used to, you know, talking.

Speaker 2 (02:45):
To people I didn't know, especially if I want to
be in this business.

Speaker 3 (02:48):
I was like, Okay, I'm I'm not gonna I can't
be shy anymore. And I think when we were practicing promos,
that was definitely the hardest part for me, just because
as I never it's like a talker growing up.

Speaker 2 (03:03):
So yeah, it was just a lot a lot of
new stuff I had to get used to.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
For sure.

Speaker 4 (03:09):
And truth, Martini is your is the head of the trainer,
right of That's the truth. I kind of like when
I grew up, you know, seeing him at a a
W and independent shows like as the fans, we got
to see the loud of flamboyant and character.

Speaker 1 (03:24):
But how do you how do you how does that
different create from how he is? Oh? You cut out
as every day person?

Speaker 2 (03:40):
Oh you kind of cut out the.

Speaker 1 (03:42):
How is he as a real life? Oh?

Speaker 4 (03:44):
Oh I was just say how how different is it
is he as a as everyday person.

Speaker 3 (03:48):
Oh, he's very like laid back, definitely more laid back
than you think he's.

Speaker 2 (03:56):
He's very nice.

Speaker 3 (03:57):
He definitely helped me kind of it out of like
my show and like help me become the person I am.
But every day he's very laid back, very chill. Definitely
not what I would have imagined.

Speaker 4 (04:13):
Yes, I love you had to see him as this character,
you know, as a wrestler or a ringside manager.

Speaker 2 (04:20):
He's very loud, definitely.

Speaker 1 (04:25):
That's great. And he has great connections.

Speaker 4 (04:26):
I know he's he was with aa W Pro like
fifteen years ago, so he's got great connections with the
Chicago area as well.

Speaker 2 (04:36):
That's very cool.

Speaker 3 (04:37):
I want to go out to the Chicago area more too,
So that's good.

Speaker 4 (04:44):
Now, when we saw your debut, you were like a cheerleader,
Like how much was that you were you trying to
get the crowd on your side to start off with?
How did you what made you decide to start doing that?

Speaker 3 (04:56):
I think it's just because I did cheer for like
almost my whole life, So I think that's what I
was used to and that was like it was kind
of more comfortable as something something I knew that I
could do, and I was like comfortable with that because
that was such a big part of my life.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
So I think that's why.

Speaker 3 (05:15):
But I've slowly been trying to like find myself like
out of it, trying to find something different, something new.
But yeah, that was just such a big part of
my life. So I think it was easy for me
to just go out there and be me.

Speaker 1 (05:30):
Yes for sure.

Speaker 4 (05:31):
And you, how do you feel you were to connect
with the crowd right now, even if they don't know you.

Speaker 3 (05:39):
I just I just go out there and I'm like,
I know what I can do. I know, I like
these people might not know me, but I know I
can connect with them in some way and hopefully hopefully
they cheer for me.

Speaker 1 (05:53):
And you had the Lea Hurst that Black label pro.

Speaker 4 (05:56):
Now know it's tough to be on this card when
you have Elena Black and her match Rachel Armstrong. So
you guys didn't want to be outshadowed by that match.
So how do you feel about it?

Speaker 2 (06:10):
Oh?

Speaker 3 (06:10):
It was I was nervous, Like I was so nervous
because that's Leila Hirsh like I've never had Like that
was my biggest opportunity ever.

Speaker 2 (06:21):
That was like my like, oh, I.

Speaker 3 (06:24):
Can't even but like even being in the same locker
room as like Layla, Elena Black, even Rachel Armstrong, I
love her. I was very nervous, but I was also
excited that I even get this opportunity to be around
these kinds of people and like have this opportunity, and
it just it just meant a lot to me being

(06:46):
able to be there and do what I.

Speaker 2 (06:48):
Do, what I always do.

Speaker 4 (06:50):
For sure, you belong right, Yeah, yeah, that's a fun
venue as well, and I just like the crowd is
really into it. So did you find you You probably
got a lot of new followers after that show.

Speaker 1 (07:06):
Yeah, I did.

Speaker 4 (07:08):
That's great And and of course you and Lelah you know,
she got the win, so maybe one day you'll get
to run it back.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
Yes, hopefully we have a rematch.

Speaker 1 (07:17):
Yeah, it wasn't a touch though.

Speaker 4 (07:19):
I felt like you guys both you know, went at it,
and it's definitely one of the best better matches I've
seen this yere So.

Speaker 2 (07:26):
Yeah, she's definitely a fighter, but I tried she had
the better of meat that night.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
Now, when you have all these different wrestlers in the
in the ring. At the same time, we're gonna talk
about second wrestling, Like, what was your favorite part of that?

Speaker 1 (07:42):
Matches?

Speaker 4 (07:43):
You had Blair onyx many Locke Have you faced them
before or is that the first time?

Speaker 3 (07:48):
That was the first time I was in a rumble
with Blair like a while ago, but I was so
excited to see.

Speaker 2 (07:56):
Her again.

Speaker 1 (07:59):
Now.

Speaker 4 (08:00):
And you also had Heather Blue, who is your uh
you know, a long time rival in in the.

Speaker 1 (08:05):
Mccan area for you.

Speaker 2 (08:08):
Nothing new with her.

Speaker 4 (08:11):
Oh, there's a lot of I mean part the favorite
part of it? What was it part of the match?

Speaker 1 (08:25):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (08:25):
Favorite part of the match?

Speaker 3 (08:27):
Oh, it was very It was very interesting seeing Blair
talk to these voices that no one could see, so
I didn't know what was going on there. My another
favorite part of my match is when I dove out
into everyone.

Speaker 2 (08:45):
I thought it was so cool.

Speaker 1 (08:47):
Yes, absolutely, another fun venue too, Yeah, that.

Speaker 2 (08:51):
Was That was one of the coolest places I've ever been.

Speaker 1 (08:53):
To for sure.

Speaker 4 (08:55):
And and maybe we'll have a chance to face Glitter
one I wont now if you have a taste of her, Yes, definitely.

Speaker 3 (09:01):
I've always wanted to wrestle her one on one and
it was very exciting I got to see.

Speaker 4 (09:05):
Her in a match, Yeah, definitely, And Laye Luck has
been doing so much as well. Yes, it's great idea
another veteran like that, just move up the ranks. And
so I'm sure you're about to face rematch on me
as well, either one of them.

Speaker 2 (09:21):
Yes, definitely.

Speaker 4 (09:25):
And then also on the car after I can't miss this,
Kylie Ray was in the main event.

Speaker 1 (09:31):
So have you worked on the show with Kylie before?

Speaker 2 (09:34):
I have not.

Speaker 4 (09:37):
Okay, So first time you got to see her in person,
how did you feel.

Speaker 1 (09:42):
I'm like, I was.

Speaker 3 (09:43):
Kind of fangirling because like I've seen her all over
like social media. I thought she was like I think
she's amazing, and like I got to meet her and
I was like, oh my god, like she's one of
the nicest people I've ever met.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
She's amazing in the ring.

Speaker 1 (09:56):
Like that's great. And she had the main event match
with David Ali for the second championship. Who knows, maybe
one day you'll step in the ring with her, right, yes, hopefully.
And then when you face off against these wrestlers, you know,
I know you faced off against Sierra who's been in
pro wrestling since they were your age, Like, how does

(10:18):
that inspire you.

Speaker 3 (10:21):
Like I look at Sierra, like she she's amazing, and
like being able to wrestle her, I get to learn
so much, Like I get to like have new experiences.
I get to learn so much from her, and you know,
I don't know, I just like like working with veterans
like her, and like she just gives me what she knows,

(10:43):
and like it's just overall a great experience. Like I
get to learn so much and it's just it's so great.

Speaker 1 (10:52):
That's awesome.

Speaker 4 (10:53):
Yes, Sierra is one of the tough wrestlers in the Midwest,
So yeah, I respect to her. And you also have
two different tag teams now that you're a part of
the How how different are they Because you're at Hooligan
Pro with Valley Albright, then you're at Divine Wrestling with Morris.
I don't know the name of your team there. I'm

(11:14):
not sure the team name for you.

Speaker 2 (11:15):
Both me and Ricky are social crash outs.

Speaker 1 (11:19):
Okay, so how is that different with each partner?

Speaker 3 (11:26):
Well, me and Allie, I think we're almost the same person.
We're very bubbly, very colorful, very cheery. And then like Ricky,
she's she's still getting used to me. She's definitely edgi er.
She's kind of mean sometimes it's kind of scary. I'm
still trying to get her to, you know, be like

(11:47):
be very good with this tag team, like you're very
happy about it.

Speaker 1 (11:50):
You know.

Speaker 2 (11:51):
She's still getting used to me though, so time.

Speaker 4 (11:56):
Okay, Well, hopefully that that works out for you and
you've had success then, but book partners as well, right.

Speaker 3 (12:01):
Yes, we me and Frankie actually just won our first
matches tag team at the last Divine Show against Joslyn
and and j Santana.

Speaker 4 (12:10):
So yeah, definitely. Oh, you're frozen up a little bit.
Hopefully we just given a minute or two. Hopefully I'll
go back to normal and sometimes happens on the weather. Okay,
you're back, You're back on.

Speaker 1 (12:34):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (12:34):
So I wanted to talk about now you have this
upcoming title defense against the Goons. How do you feel
about the Goons? I mean, these two are pretty dangerous.

Speaker 3 (12:48):
Yeah, I've seen I've seen their stuff all over social media,
and I don't lie.

Speaker 2 (12:54):
They're a little scary. They do stuff I probably would
never do.

Speaker 3 (13:00):
But I mean, like I've went against any challenge, so
I mean there's nothing I don't think I can overcome.

Speaker 2 (13:08):
Especially with Ali as the tag team partner.

Speaker 3 (13:10):
She's great, She's amazing, and I know we'll defend our
belts and walk out as champions.

Speaker 4 (13:17):
Yes, that's what I'd like to hear. So I'm gonna
post that part for the goons to listen. Oh yeah,
yeah for sure. And then you know, I have to
talk about you and Shaza. That's when you got a
lot of people's radars. You had Jaza Mackenzie pwe epic
in January. What a way to kick off twenty twenty five,

(13:38):
And at that point you had been like a year
in the business, right, Yes, So when you face Shaza,
how what were the emotions they were going to you?

Speaker 1 (13:49):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (13:50):
Wow. When I was like first announced, I was like,
oh my god.

Speaker 3 (13:55):
Like I used to like go on YouTube and just
watch a bunch of matches and like I'd be watching
her matches like like early on when I was wrestling,
and like the fact that I had the chance to
wrestle her was was crazy, Like I could not believe it.
And once I wrestled her, I'm like, wow, that was
one of my favorite matches ever. It was just a

(14:17):
crazy experience, like like looking at matches before I was
even a wrestler, and then you know wrestling the people
I used to watch.

Speaker 2 (14:26):
Like that is a very crazy experience for me, Like
I can't even describe it.

Speaker 1 (14:31):
M h.

Speaker 4 (14:33):
Well, I mean you've you've gotten a lot of big
make matches like that, and I'm sure Shots and McKenzie
and you and her will face each other multiple times.

Speaker 2 (14:42):
Yes, hopefully sometime in the future.

Speaker 4 (14:45):
And then we got to talk about the next PWE,
which is UH for Wrestling Epic Strictly Business. You have
this Mattress, the Fierro's OVW Woman's Champion, Rachel Arstrong and
this is like and you see yourself, you know, that
poster with them.

Speaker 1 (15:02):
How does that make you feel? How do you feel
about being that challenger?

Speaker 3 (15:05):
You know, like I always I always do myself when
I get these like I'll just like think, I'm like
do I deserve this?

Speaker 2 (15:12):
And then like I'll look at match and I'm.

Speaker 3 (15:14):
Like, oh my gosh, like you know, I really truly
deserve this, Like this is happening, like people see this
in me, people are giving me these chances, and I'm
just like like, it's so it's so crazy to me
that I'm even like I've been wanting to go to
OBW for such a long time, and like the fact
I'm wrestling the women's champion there is just like it's

(15:35):
mind blowing, Like I'm so excited that I get this opportunity,
and especially Rachel Armstrong. I've been wanting to wrestle her
for a long time as well, and I get to
wrestle both of them.

Speaker 2 (15:45):
Oh my agad, it's gonna be It's gonna be awesome.

Speaker 1 (15:47):
Yeah, yeah, for sure.

Speaker 4 (15:48):
Everybody checked it out July eleventh, and we can't wait
to see what happens in that one.

Speaker 1 (15:53):
And you never know.

Speaker 2 (15:54):
Who's watching, right, Yeah, definitely.

Speaker 1 (15:59):
Yeah, I can't wait.

Speaker 4 (16:00):
Sophia Rose is one of those wrestlers that's really kind
of coming to her own in the past like a
couple of years. I'm not sure how long she's been
doing it, but yeah, I kind of like transcending or
you know above you could tell she's a star. So
that's great for her and seen her.

Speaker 2 (16:16):
All over Instagram. She's awesome.

Speaker 4 (16:20):
And so when you talk about the women's wrestlers today,
that inspire you what have you been able to take
from all of them? And maybe not something that we
would you know, we would like guess maybe, you know,
kind of.

Speaker 2 (16:35):
Just like finding myself. Like I look at all these wrestlers.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
And they're all doing their own thing, and I think
it's just helped me to find who I am and
like who I can show myself to all these people.
Like I don't know how to describe it, just like
finding myself through like everyone's doing their own thing, and
like I'm always trying to be like other people, but
I think I need to focus more on being myself
more so. I think, you know, watching all these people,

(17:04):
that's just helped me do that.

Speaker 1 (17:08):
Definitely.

Speaker 4 (17:09):
And uh, there's no shortage of great women's matches out
there and women's wrestlers as well. Yeah, and then I
want to talk about power wrestling because you've got to
do something a little different with Seana Reid. He's the
favorite that you know there, She's she's bought in obviously,
he's the big fan favorite. He's been doing power for
a while. And so now you came in and you

(17:30):
had to be like the upset, like you were like
the heel for that. So how much long was that
was that? How different was that for you? First of all?

Speaker 1 (17:37):
And then.

Speaker 2 (17:40):
It's definitely very different for me. I'm not. I'm not
used to it.

Speaker 3 (17:45):
I've definitely been getting more used to it as I
you know, come in as the bad guy, but it's
just a whole different experience. Like I always come in
as you know, trying to get.

Speaker 2 (17:57):
The cheers, but.

Speaker 3 (18:00):
At POW like it was, it was a whole different experience,
like hearing them boomy like wow.

Speaker 2 (18:09):
Very different than what.

Speaker 1 (18:10):
I used to for sure.

Speaker 4 (18:12):
And you have matches you prefer longer or do you
like shorter matches?

Speaker 3 (18:20):
Honestly, I like somewhere in between, like something I can
you know, get the point across but not make it
drag out.

Speaker 2 (18:30):
I think that's that's the perfect perfect time.

Speaker 4 (18:35):
And then you have a crowd that was your favorite
so far, maybe a bigger crowd or smaller crowd.

Speaker 1 (18:41):
What's your favorite crowd?

Speaker 3 (18:45):
Honestly, I think my favorite crowd is well, I prefer
I think bigger crowds are easier to work with. But
I think one of my favorite crowds was in why
Dott in my hometown. All my like all my friends
and family will come out to like shows in that city,

(19:05):
So I think that's my favorite, just because like seeing
all the people I know.

Speaker 2 (19:09):
It definitely definitely inspires me.

Speaker 4 (19:12):
So that's awesome. And you get a lot of feedback,
I'm sure. Yeah, and when you come out you get
to hear them cheer you and say things yes, and
come in you're a defense.

Speaker 2 (19:26):
Yes, definitely.

Speaker 1 (19:28):
And then what promotions do you want to wrestle for?

Speaker 3 (19:32):
Oh, there's a lot. I want to wrestle on Dreamwave, Okay, AW,
Chicago Style Wrestling ovwn w A. There's just so many
I want to go to, but those are probably like the.

Speaker 4 (19:50):
Main ones definitely. Who are crack through that? And those
promotions that you want to wrestle in the most.

Speaker 3 (19:58):
I've always wanted to wrestle Magically and she's everywhere, so
I want to russell Shazza again and I know she's there.
I want to russell Larkin. I think she's such a
fun character. Yeah, those are those are ones coming in
the top of my head right now.

Speaker 4 (20:17):
So hey, there's they're all known pretty well. Yeah, they
have big fan bases, so why not. And then did
you have a point where you've heard the loudest reaction
ever where there was an entrance or a move.

Speaker 3 (20:38):
I'm trying to think. I think the loudest I ever
heard was I think it was my first match ever.
I had so many people I knew there for.

Speaker 2 (20:52):
Me and when they saw me come up and just like.

Speaker 3 (20:56):
So many people were cheering, so many yells me screams
like that was pretty loud. I can't I can't think
of any other right now, like off the top of
my head, but yeah, that one was definitely definitely crazy
for sure.

Speaker 1 (21:13):
Everybody can Can they see that? Do you have that
posted somewhere? Oh?

Speaker 2 (21:18):
From the first match? Yeah, it's it's somewhere in my room.

Speaker 1 (21:25):
Okay. And now what do you want to be remembered for?
And when you're done with pro wrestling?

Speaker 3 (21:34):
Oh, I want to be remembered by like always pushing
and always trying my hardest and always being true to
myself because I think something I struggle with is just
like trying to find who I am and like looking
at other people, like I just want people to always
try to be themselves and be who you are, not

(21:57):
trying to be by other people. So I think definitely
that and just just pushing through your hardest days, because
I know there's some days when I was wrestling, I
was like, I don't know if I can do this anymore.

Speaker 2 (22:12):
But when I look at other wrestlers and see what
they're doing.

Speaker 3 (22:15):
That motivates me to keep going and keep pushing and
keep finding through all these bad days.

Speaker 2 (22:19):
So I want people to think think of that when
they see.

Speaker 1 (22:22):
Me, for sure.

Speaker 4 (22:23):
And I know you're ready probably to start traveling across
the country anywhere particularly you want to go.

Speaker 2 (22:32):
Oh, I want to go to Japan and go to
kids bad nice.

Speaker 1 (22:37):
Nice, that should be fun.

Speaker 2 (22:40):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (22:42):
And then when you look at pro wrestling, you know
where your career is at. Now where do you.

Speaker 1 (22:49):
Want to help.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
What was that last part?

Speaker 1 (22:53):
Oh, where do you want to head from here?

Speaker 2 (22:56):
Oh? I want to go.

Speaker 3 (22:59):
I've been wrestling a lot in like the Midwest, so
I definitely want to go to as many states as
possible because I think that's I think that's more realistic
for this year. Yeah, just getting out as much as
I can, meeting new people, going to different places, just introducing,

(23:19):
like getting my name.

Speaker 2 (23:20):
Out there and people and like just basically traveling. That's it.

Speaker 4 (23:26):
Okay, I'm sure you'll have a chance to do that,
And yeah, we'll see you get booked in a different states.

Speaker 1 (23:33):
Yes.

Speaker 4 (23:34):
And then when you look when you watch pro wrestling,
who do you look up to and why it doesn't
have to necessarily be a wrestler, someone that's in the
business like in any capacity.

Speaker 3 (23:46):
Well, my all time favorite was Bailey. She still is,
Like ever since I started watching, she's been my favorite.
I think she kind of influenced me a little to
this day, right yeah, Like I've looked up to her
for everything, like almost all her matches. I love all
her matches. I take a lot of inspiration from her.
I just she's just my favorite wrestler, Like, I love

(24:08):
her so much.

Speaker 1 (24:09):
M h for sure. Yeah, she's one of a kind
as well.

Speaker 4 (24:15):
Yes, And then when you look at you know, you
know women's wrestling in general, how popular there it is,
and how you can you know it can rival the
men's matches, it's really in a great position, right, Yes, definitely.

Speaker 3 (24:29):
I hear a lot of people talking saying how like
currently like women's wrestling is like as big as it's
ever been, And honestly, I think it's I think it's
getting up there with you know, people looking at like
men's matches. I think women's wrestling and like their matches
are like overall pretty good and doing kind of better
than the men's to be honest.

Speaker 1 (24:51):
That's cool.

Speaker 4 (24:51):
It's cool, and you've had a chance to do inter
gender as well, right, yes, yes, So how do you
feel about intergender matches?

Speaker 3 (25:02):
It's different, Like, I don't mind doing it. I think
it's a very cool experience. I get to do things
I probably wouldn't be able to do on like a girl.
Like I had my match with Adam Wick at f
You Wrestling and I was I was pulling out moves
I never usually do. So I think it's just a
cool experience. I get to do things you never really

(25:24):
see me doing.

Speaker 1 (25:26):
Yeah, that was a crazy match. I got to see
that one. Yeah.

Speaker 4 (25:30):
Yeah, I hopefully you get to see more of that
as well. And I appreciate you Leela being on p
w E Report And if there's anything you like to plug,
go ahead.

Speaker 3 (25:42):
Yeah, Instagram underscore Leo Hall. I have my upcoming match
this weekend at Single Time Wrestling at Small Summit.

Speaker 2 (25:49):
Pretty excited for that.

Speaker 1 (25:52):
And yeah, be careful for Noel. She not only targets you,
she'll target your friends, your family and the Yeah. I
think you got to see her at Hooligan.

Speaker 2 (26:04):
Pro and yes I did.

Speaker 1 (26:07):

from her?

Speaker 4 (26:11):
