to welcome Woman's Independent Pro wrestler, the head Diva, Miss
Savina Thorn to the PWE Report.
Speaker 2 (00:15):
You know what, Sean, I think you need to do
that introduction again. I think you can do it a
little bit better.
Speaker 1 (00:20):
Come on, okay, okay, well, right now we're welcoming Women's
Independent Pro wrestler, the head Diva, Miss Savina Thorn to
the PWE Report.
Speaker 3 (00:31):
That's more like it.
Speaker 1 (00:32):
Thank you great. How are you doing today?
Speaker 3 (00:36):
You know I could be better, but I'm okay.
Speaker 1 (00:40):
We're making sure to talk about your upcoming matches at
Zawah this Saturday, May third, and on Nelson, Illinois, you
take on Pescadida Ruise May tenth, at Hooligan Pro Wrestling
Assaying the Queendom too against Rachel Armstrong. And of course
we just found out that you're announced for the Freelance
Wrestling One Goal the twenty person in Battle Royal. Make
(01:02):
sure to check it out May twenty third, that will
be sold out soon as I always do, so we
go watch it on IWTV live. And uh galu Uchelibre
as well. I'm not sure if you'll be a part
of this Sunday's Galley.
Speaker 2 (01:17):
We'll see I'm I'm yet to find out, but I'm
sure I'll be there accompanying Axel Rico, Eric Schultz, and
Hans Garden because deannaro Obla is always on top, you know,
money talks, so definitely.
Speaker 1 (01:29):
Well, we look forward to seeing you there and we
want thank you for being on the PW Report. How
are you doing today?
Speaker 2 (01:36):
You know, I'm good, but I've been walking the streets
and you know, some people, some people's fashion choices have
been ruining my day, you know, but it's.
Speaker 1 (01:45):
Fine, Okay. Well, talk about your journey to become a
pro wrestler. How has it changed your life so far?
Speaker 2 (01:55):
You know, I have always been inspired by pro wrestling
my whole life. I remember as a little girl, I
would watch like Mercedes Money and Bailey and all those girls,
and I was just really inspired. I remember specifically the
women's triple threat at WrestleMania when they changed the Divas
title from the Women's title or to the Women's title.
(02:19):
Charlotte Flair, Becky Lynch and Mercedes Money was like very
inspirational for me. And I've just kind of been around
wrestling my whole life, I like can't escape it for
some reason. And you know, it's just a great way
to show everybody what I already know, that I'm better
than everyone else.
Speaker 1 (02:39):
So yeah, love it for sure. About any male performers,
male wrestlers that you that you looked up.
Speaker 2 (02:46):
To or I am a huge Kinney Omega Young Bucks fan.
Being the elite like their internet show really inspired me
a lot, so yeah, it kind of like taught me
how to incorporate social media with wrestling, So yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (03:04):
Love that.
Speaker 1 (03:06):
Definitely.
Speaker 3 (03:07):
Brian Danielson fan as well.
Speaker 1 (03:10):
Oh nice, who is it? Right? Yeah?
Speaker 3 (03:13):
American Dragon and you're.
Speaker 1 (03:16):
You know, talk about your style and your swag. How
you developed yourself to becoming the head diva.
Speaker 2 (03:24):
I like, I feel like the head diva persona like
came with my growing confidence. I always felt like people
didn't want me to be myself. I was told as
a kid, I was too loud, too obnoxious, you know
this and that, And I feel like when I started
(03:48):
training at freelance, they encouraged me to be that person
and that's how I kind of developed like my whole persona.
Speaker 3 (03:56):
I was like.
Speaker 2 (03:58):
A huge fan of like the diva's like total divas era,
so that's where I got the head Diva from and
like all that stuff.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
So okay, awesome, Well it looks like you've really made
yourself clear who you are and what your intentions are.
Speaker 3 (04:16):
Absolutely, and when you make.
Speaker 1 (04:20):
That debut for Logan Squerroudatorium, how did to feel to
have your friends, your family there to support you and
a bunch of strangers and they know you?
Speaker 3 (04:32):
Wow?
Speaker 2 (04:33):
Uh so fum fact, my family wasn't there because they
were on a business trip. You know, my dad's my
dad runs a lot of businesses, so he wasn't there.
It was fine, but I really, uh, I felt the
love from like specifically the freelance locker room. Like, uh,
(04:53):
Trevor Outlaw is somebody who I've looked up to. Like
I know a lot of people don't like him, but
he's like my big brother. But he's somebody who I
really looked up to. And I remember after my match
he gave me my props and that was a really
awesome moment for me because he.
Speaker 3 (05:14):
Doesn't lie to anybody.
Speaker 2 (05:16):
But no, I definitely felt the love and like even
though people did me, I don't know why, I'm so amazing,
but it was.
Speaker 3 (05:26):
It was unreal for.
Speaker 1 (05:28):
Sure, definitely, And you had Trent Wrigley as your opponent,
So can you talk about Trent Wrigley for a bit,
like having him coming to the ring and you know
you've also wrestled after that match, yes, So what is
up with you and Trent Wrigley? What is the rivalry about? Like?
What don't you like about him specifically?
Speaker 3 (05:50):
You know, I just.
Speaker 2 (05:53):
First of all, he smells like fish. That that's my
first issue. Put on some deyodor, and second of all,
learn how to dress because.
Speaker 3 (06:03):
Who is wearing florals? Still? It's But.
Speaker 2 (06:09):
Me and Trent started training together, so I feel like
it was always kind of like a built in rivalry,
you know, like we started around the same time and
he debuted before me, but like there was always like
I would always like go with him at training and stuff,
And when they announced my match, I was like, because
(06:35):
you know, people change, like I will not lie. Me
and Trent were like super close coming up together. But
then he started doing this chigag goes a local surfer
thing and you know, I'm not with it, uh, But
you know, I feel like I've had my best matches
with Trent, So I for sure I really respect him.
(06:58):
But at the same time time, you know I beat
him at Logan Square hot.
Speaker 1 (07:05):
Asian, right, but sure that was a good match, and
you're only gonna take that away from you.
Speaker 3 (07:14):
Nobody can abbe.
Speaker 1 (07:18):
And you also have Nathaniel coming to the ring, talk
about having him ringside and how he's been able to
provide support that you've needed.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
So Nathaniel, it's a misconception that when I post videos
on Instagram about my match, people think Nathaniel's my caretaker
and my parents hired him because they need somebody to
look after me because they're never around. That's not the case.
Nathaniel's my assistant. I know, my dad and mom like
(07:47):
pay him and stuff, but like he's my assistant. So
you know, it was it was nice. You know, I
gave him his little moment, he got a little bit
of my spotlight, you know, my big dabut you.
Speaker 3 (08:00):
But you know it was fine.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
I'm a very generous person, you know, very giving, So
it was fine. He did, you know, catch Trent Wrigley
for some reason. I don't know what was up with that,
and took really long to drop him, like an alarmingly
long time, So I don't know what was up with that.
But at the end of the day, you know, he
did do the right thing and he handed me my
(08:25):
powder and I won the match, so that's all that matters.
And he will be accompanying me for that Battle Royal
and making sure I win and I get my freelance
title shot.
Speaker 1 (08:38):
Okay that you know, it's going to have someone looking
after your back, right, especially the Battle Royal. So many opponents,
so not everybody can be so as lucky as you
Devina to have an assistant, right you know.
Speaker 2 (08:56):
Yeah, some people just aren't like me, and that's that's fine.
Not everybody can be to Vina Thorne. I will never
fault them for that, but you.
Speaker 1 (09:03):
Know, and so talk about your return to freelance wrestling
at the One Goal event. It's the twenty perst of
Battle Royal. Why do you think you're going to be
coming out on top of this.
Speaker 2 (09:20):
Because out of I don't know if you've noticed, Sean,
but out of all the students who debuted at the
Student Show, I'm the only one who has not gotten
my opportunity yet, whether that's on the pre show in
a scramble. I feel like Freelance Wrestling is trying to
keep me from greatness because they know when I get
(09:42):
my opportunity, I will prove that I deserve to be
freelance World Champion. And when I win that rumble, which
I will, I will actually become the youngest freelance champion
in history when I beat Debond in row, which will
also happen.
Speaker 1 (10:02):
Yeah, what do you think of that? Von Monroe as
freelance champion?
Speaker 2 (10:07):
You know, I think Devon will be a fantastic champion,
but it won't matter after I win that rumble and
I beat him fairly short rain.
Speaker 1 (10:20):
But yeah, well we'll see what happens, right, Yeah, And
then talk about the other female wrestlers now part of
Freelance Wrestling. You have Blair Onyx, you have Reagan light Ol,
Kylie Ray Lady Luck. You know, talking about wrestling all
of them pretty soon. I know you had a fatal
(10:42):
four way with Blair and Reagan Leslie and another promotion MCW,
But how much you look forward to facing them one
on one?
Speaker 2 (10:50):
I look forward to it so much. I think Blair
Onyx is like really creepy, so you know, I'm slightly
scared of her. As as far as Reagan Lydale, you know,
I look forward to showing her that her fashion sense
is so out of date and you know, can't be
dressing like that anymore, girly, it's embarrassing. Lady Luck, I
(11:14):
think is so incredibly talented and I would love to
get the chance to wrestle her. And of course Kylie Ray,
who's someone I've looked up to for so so long,
Like I, if I get the chance to wrestle her,
that would be so awesome. So oh wow, definitely a
(11:36):
loaded women's roster that I very much look forward to wrestling.
Speaker 1 (11:40):
All of them for sure, and the fans will look
forward to as well. So'd be exciting, exciting times. There
was once a matchup that was all women in a
scramble match the Freelance had, so could you think we
could see that come back?
Speaker 2 (11:58):
Absolutely? I think uh right now, because think about it,
Celeste just made her debut as well, Like I think
Freelance as far as like women's talent has come so far.
I remember when I first started training at Freelance, there
was only really Laaney and Kylie, and I think uh
(12:24):
Reagan Lido was on the come up too, But like
since then, I think our roster has grown so much,
and I definitely think it could happen again for.
Speaker 1 (12:35):
Sure, definitely. If not, if not in freelance, it might
have been somewhere else, So who knows. And then talk
about this Saturday night, you have this big debut Zala Finally, Yeah,
you're able to make your big debut at a certain
and severe and you're gonna have an opportunity to make
your first impression with your matchup with Lialia Pescadida.
Speaker 3 (12:59):
Guess I am very excited.
Speaker 2 (13:02):
Uh, Zawa has been a promotion I've been wanting to
work for for so long. But you know, I'm just
really excited to be able to make a fashion statement.
Speaker 3 (13:18):
At Lily's expense. Uh.
Speaker 2 (13:20):
Lily has been super impressive on the indies NWA, like
she has been making a name for herself absolutely, and
you know what that just means. I have to bring
my a game and I always plan on doing that
because I'm the HEADIVA And this Saturday, a fashion statement
(13:42):
will be made at Lily's expense.
Speaker 1 (13:46):
Well, we'll see what happens. It's gonna be an exciting matchup.
And you've had matches involving Lily Pescadida before, yes, including Galie.
Speaker 2 (13:58):
Yes, that was yes, that was my first time wrestling
her last Sunday.
Speaker 1 (14:03):
Yes, how how much for it are you looking How
much are you looking forward to taking her out one
on one?
Speaker 2 (14:10):
I am very much looking forward to it. You know,
she stole the win away from me at Galli, so
of course I'm not gonna let that slide. I really
look forward to it just being me because me and her,
because I didn't get pinned, Haven got pinned. So you know,
when it's me and Lily one on one, we'll see
(14:33):
who really is the better woman, and it's gonna.
Speaker 1 (14:35):
Be neat Okay, Well, that's going to be another exciting one.
If everybody's in Nelson, Illinois or in that area check
it out. And you also have Huligan Pro Wrestling, so
I'm excited to talk about this one. Rachel Armstrong, you
got the opportunity to take on one of the best
women wrestlers in the Midwest today at the signing the
(14:56):
Queen of Tournament May tenth. You originally had another matchup
in but now you're taking on Rachel Armstrong. I mean,
how did the stars align for this? How was your reaction?
Speaker 2 (15:07):
I remember getting a text one day from Uligan Championship
wrestling because I was not originally supposed to be on
this show. Actually, so I got the original text that
somebody had pulled out of the show and they needed
somebody to fill the spot, and my original match was
(15:28):
an eight woman tag and it was that until about
three weeks ago, I want to say, I got a
text and they said somebody else pulled out, and they
asked me if I wanted to wrestle Rachel Armstrong, and
Rachel Armstrong like she's.
Speaker 3 (15:47):
So amazing, like she is so good at.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
Wrestling, So of course I was like, absolutely, I would
love to wrestle Rachel.
Speaker 3 (15:56):
So I am.
Speaker 2 (15:58):
I've been preparing really hard for this match, like I've
been hitting the gym, I've been training.
Speaker 3 (16:03):
I am ready. So I'm so excited.
Speaker 1 (16:07):
Yes, Rachel Armstrong has been on many different promotions, even GCW,
and you know, I think she's had an opportunity on TV,
so it's gonna be great to see you and her
match up. Like this is an all women's event too, Like,
how excited are you to be a part of all
women's wrestling promotion?
Speaker 3 (16:25):
I'm so excited for this event. Yes, I am so excited.
Speaker 2 (16:31):
I have never been part of an all women's event before,
so I really look forward to that. I think it's
so empowering that women in wrestling, especially like right now,
I think women's wrestling is so hot right now, like
everybody is just bringing it. I feel like I see
on TV every day, like some names that come to mind,
(16:55):
Stephanie back Here, Mercedes Monett who of course I'm a
big fan of Arlette Flair, like Tiffany Sha and so
many women just bringing their a game. And now we
see that on the independence, like everybody's just evolving and
getting better, and I'm just so excited to be a.
Speaker 1 (17:16):
Part of it, for sure. Man, I'm excited for all
of you to have the opportunity as well as a fan,
you know, to see you guys perform and get that,
you know, get the spotlight and the woman's wrestling no
has never been hotter. So being part of that industry,
it's going to be pretty exciting for you, right.
Speaker 3 (17:33):
That's awesome?
Speaker 1 (17:34):
Yes, And then a guy looks to leave break. Can
you talk about what you've got over there with the
narrow hobblow Hans Card and Axel Rico and uh you
know coming down ringside? Yes?
Speaker 3 (17:49):
Uh?
Speaker 2 (17:49):
So I started off as an intern for Axel and
Schultz h in November and it kind of evolved into
me just like accompanying them every show. And like once
I started wrestling, it got bigger. So I just suddenly
(18:11):
became a part of this group. And not just this group,
this group with Hans who is a champion at galley
actual who's Galley World champion, and Schultz who.
Speaker 3 (18:22):
Is so amazing.
Speaker 2 (18:23):
Like I, It's just an opportunity where all the stars aligned.
And you know, sometimes the universe just has stuff for
you and it just happens.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
Yes, for sure. And and uh, would you like to
still be part of that stable moving forward or do
your own? Oh?
Speaker 2 (18:44):
Absolutely de naro abla forever and always bro.
Speaker 1 (18:49):
Yeah, if you could be part, if you can make
your own stable with women wrestlers, who would it be?
Is it you ever thought about that?
Speaker 2 (18:58):
I'm trying to think on the Independence or anywhere.
Speaker 1 (19:02):
I was gonna stay Independence, but you could be anywhere, Okay. Ah.
Speaker 2 (19:15):
I would say Lany's an amazing talent, so I would
love to have her. As far as people who I
feel fit my vibe, Tiffany Stratton is a huge one.
Mercedes Money, I would love to say Blair Onyx because
(19:36):
I'm so scared of her, like I don't want to
face her, but I don't know if she would fit in.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
But yeah, definitely people like that for sure.
Speaker 1 (19:49):
Okay, that's a nice nick. So that'd be really cool
if you had that opportunity. And what is your advice
for people who want to be become professional wrestlers? People
your age, younger, older, I.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
Would say, follow your heart. You know, there's obviously a
reason you want to do it. If you never follow
your dreams, you never know what will come of them.
Speaker 3 (20:16):
And you know, I.
Speaker 2 (20:17):
Took a huge risk becoming a professional wrestler and it
paid off and it is one of the most rewarding
things I've ever done in my life. No matter how
many struggles or like obstacles I face, I always think
to myself, at the end of the day, eight year
old Debino would be freaking out doing this, So you know,
(20:39):
just always follow your dreams and.
Speaker 3 (20:41):
Follow your heart.
Speaker 1 (20:43):
Yes, for sure. And then when you've been on some
of these freelance shows, even if you weren't wrestling, you
had been part of locker room and a lot of
big names that came through in the past year, how exciting.
Is that for you?
Speaker 2 (20:55):
Yeah, it's been crazy, for sure. I definitely don't feel
like I belong, But at the end of the day,
I feel that I know how much work I put
in and I have been working so hard for the
past two years to make my dreams a reality, and
(21:18):
no matter how many doubts I have in my mind,
no matter what I feel like, at the end of
the day, I do deserve to be there. And there
is obviously a reason I have been put.
Speaker 3 (21:29):
In this position. So it's just it's amazing and I'm
so grateful for the opportunity.
Speaker 1 (21:38):
Definitely for sure. And in Chicago, wrestling is also pretty big.
There's so many and so many different so many yeah,
different wrestlers, different styles, so it's it's it's great. And
my question for you next is about how do you
feel about, uh, develop being yourself to become more and
(22:02):
just your brand, to be more than just a wrestler.
Speaker 2 (22:07):
I put a lot of value in social media and
my look. I love experimenting with things like makeup and fashion.
Obviously my hairs like crazy colors and stuff, So I
really put value into making myself different. A lot of
(22:32):
people can be mean girls, but I feel like I
do it differently and in a really unique.
Speaker 3 (22:39):
Way, and I have I feel like.
Speaker 2 (22:44):
My creative outlet is like the videos I put out
on social media, and I feel like that makes me
stand out.
Speaker 3 (22:51):
So just trying to be different.
Speaker 1 (22:55):
Yes, maybe one day you could try acting or something else.
Speaker 2 (23:00):
I would love to, you know, it was It's definitely
been a dream of buying to be in a superhero movie,
so that would be awesome.
Speaker 1 (23:08):
Definitely. I mean we saw Live Morgan just announced she's
doing a movie, so anything's possible.
Speaker 3 (23:15):
Yes.
Speaker 1 (23:17):
Well, I like to thank you again Divina for being
on the PW Report. There's any other anything else you
want to announce or any other matches coming up? You
covered them?
Speaker 3 (23:27):
Nope, not that I can think of.
Speaker 1 (23:29):
Okay, well, thank you for being on a p report.
Make sure tell me how to follow you social media.
And if you have anything you want to plug, go ahead.
Speaker 2 (23:39):
I am Divina dot Thorne on everything, and I also
have a pro Wrestling T shirt or merch so that's
pro Wrestling tease slash Davina Thorne.
Speaker 1 (23:51):
Okay, nice, Well, we thank you for being on the
PW Report and best of luck this weekend. Thank you,
And before I let you go. Can you do me
a favor and do a quick shout out for p
WE and I'll stop this video and start a new one.
Speaker 3 (24:07):
I got you, Yes, all right? Is there
