Does age matter when it comes to marriage, Well, there's
always outliers, but this is an interesting look at data
marriages with a ten year or greater age discrepancy. Reliable
data on the prevalence of marriages with a ten year
of greater age discrepancy is limited. In Western countries like
the US, about eight percent of hetero sexual male to
female marriages have an age gap of ten years or more.

This figure rises significantly though, in same sex unions, with
twenty five percent of male to male and fifteen percent
of female to female, so double for lesbian's triple for
gay men. For heterosexual couples, around one percent of the
US marriages have an age gap of twenty eight years
