Conversamos con Gregorio Díaz Mirabal, Coordinador de la COICA; Indianara Ramires, indígena Guaraní Kaiowá de Brasil; y Agustín Muñoz, indígena Tsotsil de México sobre la continuación del despojo territorial a los pueblos y lo que ello significa en estos tiempos.
Muños nos cuenta sobre el caso de despojo territorial que han sufrido indígenas Tsotsiles del Rancho El Potrero, ubicado en el Municipio de Nicolás Ruiz, en Chiapas, y su búsqueda por justicia. Por su lado, Indianara Ramires explica el riesgo que representa el Proyecto de Ley 490, impulsado por la bancada ruralista de diputados y que cuenta con el soporte del presidente Jair Bolsonaro. Dicho proyecto propone que la organización de las tierras indígenas se haga mediante leyes, lo cual no necesariamente reconocería la posesión ancestral de los territorios y los dejaría vulnerables a la explotación minera.
Por su parte, Gregorio Díaz Mirabal, Coordinador General de la COICA, envió un mensaje de reflexión y de emergencia a toda la humanidad, pero en especial a los pueblos indígenas, para seguir luchando por los derechos territoriales como única alternativa frente a la crisis ambiental.
