Tune into Spirit with radio medium laure Lee Leally really
Lory tuning in to Spirit with my special guests. Marlena,
Where are you calling from Fessorable, California? Marlena, I have
a male coming to me. And I hear the name Marley.

Speaker 1 (00:24):
Is that you?

Speaker 3 (00:26):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (00:27):
Is that your nickname? Yeah?

Speaker 3 (00:28):
That's true, and I'm understanding he called you this, and
I feel a very special bond with this person. I
don't feel it necessarily a relative, but let me tell
you what he shows me. I see someone or more
than one person actually working on him, trying to resuscitate him,

(00:51):
and I feel his heart stopped. Yeah, and there is
lots of panic around this, and I feel like he
didn't survive that, honey.

Speaker 1 (01:01):
No, I guess.

Speaker 3 (01:07):
Ambulance there. Yes, And he says that you felt helpless.
You felt helpless, Yeah.

Speaker 1 (01:15):
And you know it's okay.

Speaker 3 (01:17):
You had the best people there, because I think even
if you did get there, do you think.

Speaker 1 (01:21):
You could have resuscitated him? No?

Speaker 3 (01:24):
Right, that's what he sells. So you know you helped
him survive on so many levels. You helped him live life,
and he wants you to know that. Yeah, well more
than a best friend, I feel like a lover, friends, mate, partner, right.

Speaker 1 (01:46):
Yeah, we're going to get married. Yeah.

Speaker 3 (01:48):
Well, you know, I didn't see the ring necessarily, but yeah,
I felt like you guys you were like an old
Mary couple who said, definitely, is there a connection with
a gold crosschain with one of the two of you?

Speaker 1 (02:05):
He shows this to me.

Speaker 2 (02:07):
Yeah, I did.

Speaker 1 (02:07):
You had one? Yeah, a couple of them. Actually, do
you have those?

Speaker 2 (02:11):
Yeah? I have a lot of his stuff that I've
gone from his family.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
His son had told me you go ahead.

Speaker 1 (02:17):
Of take So yeah, I haven't actually in his stuff.

Speaker 3 (02:19):
Okay, he's saying something about putting it on. So I
feel like you'd be close to him because that, to him,
would be his connection to you. Oh yeah, but you know,
before all this happened, I felt like you guys just
had a fight.

Speaker 1 (02:35):
Why do I get that impression? Yeah, because you were
kind of arguing before he left. Didn't he left?

Speaker 3 (02:41):
Say he didn't come back you? Oh honey, it's okay.
You were always right anyway. He never let you believe that,
but you always were. Yeah, he said you made him
grow up.

Speaker 1 (02:58):
We both do actually.

Speaker 3 (03:01):
Out yes, and that's why he says you did help
him survive on so many levels.

Speaker 1 (03:08):
Okay, And who was the drinker? Was that him? Are
you smoking? Yeah? So always on his case about that, right, Yeah? Yeah,
if he was drinking, he was going to run up
and do something.

Speaker 3 (03:21):
Right, You're always on his case about it, and so
I just didn't know if you were influenced by his drinking.
But that's where you were more the grown up than
he was. And just wants to say thank you for
being in his life. He made it worth his time.
But he's very much around you. I think you might

(03:43):
feel his presence because this has been a long while
since his passing. He's certainly there. Are you holding on
to some text messages he sent you?

Speaker 1 (03:56):
Yeah? I have messages on phones that I have them
here that you haven't erased. Can you keep Yeah?

Speaker 3 (04:02):
And he wants to reference this okay. So that's just
a confirmation that he's still there with you and spirit.
When you think about someone that you love or you're
looking at something, that means they're there much in spirit
as much as you feel a connection to them. Thank
you for sharing your time with me, Marlee.

Speaker 1 (04:23):
So thank you, long time. I understand.

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
