A nova Diretriz Brasileira de Hipertensão Arterial, lançada em 2025, tornou mais rígidos os critérios que classificam a pressão arterial. Os objetivos são prevenir os riscos cardiovasculares e evitar as consequências da doença para a saúde. Para compreender o assunto, nossa reportagem ouviu Elizabeth Muxfeldt, cardiologista e coordenadora do Programa de Hipertensão Arterial Resistente do Hospital Universitário Clementino Fraga Filho, além da agente de saúde Raquel de Carvalho e da paciente Maria Jivanilda dos Santos.
