(00:45):
events. Her passion is bringing peaceof mind and resolution to those grieving for
their departed. TJ works worldwide sharingher gift, bringing comfort, closure and
peace not only to those who receiveher messages, but those in her audience
who are touched by the love ofspirit. Don't go away, I'll be

(01:07):
right back with the dynamic TJ Higgs. Welcome to the show. TJ.
Thank you, Gary. It's suchlovely to see you and lovely to be
here. Thank you. It's sobrilliant because we've spent so much time together
in Japan and I always wanted tohave you on the show, and I've

(01:29):
been watching you and I know you'rein the UK doing a tour. You
have a large tour coming up.Tell me about what inspired the tour.
Well, let's first let's talk aboutreally how you really tuned into your gift
as a child and what was thecatalyst that put you in touch with this?

(01:51):
Okay, so I was, Ilike to say, I'm like Lady
Gaga. I was born this way, so I didn't really have a choice.
And all throughout my childhood, myteenage years, I was married young,
I just always could see your senseand feel not just spirit but people's
energy, which I understand now,and I didn't understand why everybody else couldn't

(02:15):
do or see and feel how Iwas feeling. So so it became quite
difficult sometimes to interact with people. And it wasn't until I was sort of
turned thirty twenty nine thirty that Imet someone that just opened my eyes to
the fact that I was a mediumand seeing spirit that's what it meant.

(02:37):
And in England, you know, back then we're talking sort of twenty five
thirty years ago, people weren't asopen about it as they are now.
So it wasn't always a good thingto be like I am. You know.
Was it also a situation where yousaw colors, voices or how was

(02:57):
the vision? What was the strongsense at that beginning of the of the
visions? It was all of theabove. But when my pops died,
I would have only been three yearsold, and I remember, and even
now I remember him sitting in hischair and then my uncle sitting on him,
and I was sort of why,you know, sort of being a

(03:19):
disruptive child, I guess to myCatholic mother because I could see my pop's
still in the room. So andthat then translated to colors as I was
getting older and my dog, wehad a jack Russell. But when she
was blue, glowed blue. Youdon't touch her because she's you know,
she's moody. But if she wasgreen, you could play with her.

(03:42):
And my stepbrother Colin used to playwith her when she was blue, so
she used to bite him. AndI used to think, why do you
touch the dog when the dog's blueand you know she's she's grumpy. And
when I wrote my book Living witha Gift, we spoke about it and
he said, but the dog wasalways brown, white, you know,
she was a jat Russell, soso that he obviously couldn't see what I

(04:04):
could see. And very quickly Ilearned to be quiet about things. And
and as you know you've met me, Gary, I have quite strange eyes,
as people say to me, Ihave weird eyes and all sorts.
So as a growing up, asa child, and even as a teenager,
my eyes were not you know, some people love them, but a

(04:26):
lot of people were fearful of me. Do you think TJ. You know,
I know when someone loses a lovedone, they have a hard time
getting over of the grief of that, and I know you really tap into
really healing that for them. Whatwhat is the I mean, do you

(04:48):
feel that the people are just lookingfor validation or they're looking for a healing?
I mean, how is it?How does it work for you as
far as your job is there tojust given them the message? Correct?
Yeah, I guess. I thinkwhen I very first started, if you'd
have asked me that question, Ithought it was just about giving evidence and

(05:10):
proof of life. You know thatlife continues. However, as I've worked
over the last I've been I've beenout on stage for twenty five years now,
and just recently, for example,I was I was working up in
Manchester and a lady came up tome at the end and said that she
couldn't explain the message from her son, you know what it had meant to

(05:32):
her. But all she could sayto me was something had lifted and her
son had taken his life. Andso when you think like that, that's
a massive healing, isn't it.And not just for her, but for
other people in my audience that canyou know, maybe resonate with the messages

(05:53):
from a child, from a mother, brother, etc. You know.
So I think now my my workis predominantly healing. I would like to
believe, not just evidence. Youknow. Yeah, I believe you're a
healer. And I think that manychurches and spiritualists accept this, but many

(06:15):
Christian faiths do not. They basicallythink this is bad. But I think
when you're providing healing, then it'sa different way of validation for helping those
people, you know, feel betterin this lifetime. Now. Yeah,
And at the same evening, actuallya lady came up to me at the

(06:39):
end who was, you know, almost like dragged along if you like,
by her friend. She didn't believein the afterlife, she didn't believe in
mediumship. Very religious upbringing also, but she spoke to me at the end
and she said, if you donothing more, she said, you bring
comfort, and you bring you know, you do the healing. But her

(07:00):
words were you release pain. Andthat was from somebody that's a non believer,
and that that again to me.I don't go out to prove anything,
do you know. I'm very lucky. I know you know what the
other side is like. But tojust be told that I can do that
for people, well, that's anhonor in itself, isn't it to be
able to stand up for spirit anddo that? Yeah? Exactly, do

(07:23):
you Tracy? You do a ritualin the morning, do you do?
You know a lot of people theymeditate, they exercise, they do a
little bit of you know, journalingor walking with nature. Is there anything
that you love to do. Iwould say I would like to have time

(07:44):
for those things, but most ofmy time it's taken up with work.
But I do, I mean,I do advocate all those things for people
that are, you know, workingspiritually. We do need to take time
for ourselves. But I like nothingmore than just in morning just to take
a moment for myself and just havea little chat with my team, you

(08:05):
know, to ready myself for mywork. If I am feeling overwhelmed by
some of my work that I do. I'm very lucky. I live in
the middle of nature here in England, so I will take myself off and
just just take the dogs for awalk and things like that, you know,
so quiet time, I think alot of time. Meditation for me

(08:26):
is quite difficult because I have avery fast brain and to slow I almost
feel like I should be doing somethingelse. So walking is, you know,
a mindful walk is much better forme than a meditation. And here's
the thing. We have to rememberthat we must take time for ourself.
So I'm here to remind you youhave to do some nice things for you

(08:52):
just that that means to go pamperyourself, or take an afternoon off and
do reflex ali or get a massageor anything. Because we, you know,
we were putting out such a highvibration of energy. If you're depleted,
it takes a while to get yourenergy back, absolutely, and I

(09:13):
think I'm almost coming to the endof a burnout really because during COVID,
you know, when everybody was lockeddown, whereas a lot of people got
to spend time with their families andalmost like in bubbles of peace if you
like. You know, so Iknow it was an awful time. I

(09:35):
know a lot of people passed, but there were the positives of family time
and time together. But for meand I guess yourself, Gary, we
are called then to take care ofa lot of people. So I spent
two years making sure that people hadsomebody, do you know, so the
people that lived on their own couldcontact me. You know, I did

(09:56):
my radio show, I wrote alot as well. That's quite therapeutic for
me. But I was there formy students and just for spiritual people,
all denominations you know, that neededme. So I think that took quite
a toll of me that I didn'trealize, you know, just coming out
of it in the last two years. Really, yeah, I think we

(10:18):
had a recharge in some way bynot being able to go anywhere, but
yet we were giving because of theInternet, which was a blessing. We
were able to you know, speakto all these people and give our energy
and our information. So I thinkthat was a big, a big blessing,

(10:41):
you know. And I know youhave this tour that's happening all over
the UK as we speak. Whatcity are you? What? What number
is it on? I think you'rea number four for yes, number four,
yes, So I'm all over theUK, north, south, everywhere.
Yeah, So I decided I wasn'tgoing to go back out and tour,

(11:05):
and it took me a while toactually get my energy together to think
am I needed? And I wantedyou know, and I don't mean that
in an egotistical way, so butI am very very lucky that I get
to share my gift and I justwanted people to understand that, you know,
my tour is called Grief is Loveand that's so true and our late

(11:28):
Queen actually said that, you know, so I put that on my posters
to remind people, because you know, to a grief for someone is that
you've loved them. So I'm yeah, I've been out already to as I
was just in Manchester. I've beenin Essex, I've been in Hertfordshire,

(11:48):
I've been in Kent. So yeah, so I have about another twenty or
so shows this year. Wow,and I know you I was watching.
Were you going to be speaking atthe Mick Jagger Center or what is it?
Yes, Mick Jagger Center. Yes, that's very cool. Unfortunately he

(12:11):
won't be there, but I canwisha, but yeah, that's that's a
beautiful venue in Kent as well inDartford. So there's some the places that
I work. I've just worked inStockport, which is in Manchester, in
the most amazing theater that also hasits own guests. You know that there's

(12:33):
there's residents there, so they've alot of the places I'm working do have
their own residents, which is quiteinteresting as a medium when you go into
a big venue like that, TJ. Do you I know many spiritual people
go backstage and do a whole meditationbefore they go on stage. Is that

(12:54):
something you do or you just goout and sort of feel the room?
Yeah? See, I know I'msort of a bit odd, I guess,
but I do not meditate before Iwork. If you were backstage with
me before I'm going out to doa demonstration of mediumship, you'll find my
dressing room is very loud. I'vegot music playing. I'm heightening my energy

(13:16):
because if I meditate, my energygoes, which is perfect if you want
to close your energy and almost likescent to yourself. I need my energy
needs to be as big as itcan possibly be when I go out to
do my to do my shows. So now you'll find me getting hyperactive backstage
rather than than less active. Yeah, what has been the most interesting session

(13:43):
that you had with a person whereit kind of threw you a curve where
you were sort of shocked, orwas there anything that you know, I
know there's always people in our privatesthat we have sessions that really throw us
back or you know, give ussome information. Was there anyone that ever

(14:05):
that ever happened to one that reallystands out throughout my working life, if
you like, I don't work witha crystal ball, but I love crystals.
So I had a beautiful fluorite crystalball. So for those of you
that don't know, fluorite is greensand blues and purple, so it's not

(14:26):
see through. And I had itin mind this day to have the crystal
ball beside me while I was working, just as something asthetic really not for
to use I read. As Iwas in the middle of reading for this
beautiful lady, I was drawn tolook at my ball, and I was
being told to tell her she wasn'tallowed to go somewhere, and I was

(14:48):
trying to work out what was goingon, and in the ball it started
to sort of move, and inthe ball there were turtles and they were
drowning, and I just said toher, wherever you're going you cannot go
because if turtles are drowning in thesea, it's not safe for us,
you know. So anyway, shedidn't tell me where she was going.

(15:11):
She never She just said she wasgoing to tell her husband, and she
was they were going to go totheir own holiday home at this was for
a Christmas visit. And anyway,on Boxing Day, I received a phone
call, my phone was off thehook from her husband calling me over and
over again and telling me that I'dsaved his family's life. He thought I

(15:35):
was a bit crazy, did notwant to listen that they had to cancel
their trip abroad for Christmas. Butthey would have been in the middle of
Thailand for the tsunami that hit Peepee, and they would have been right in
the middle of that, not justthose two, but four young children as
well. So he could have losthis whole family if they'd have gone.

(15:58):
Wow, that's amazing. That crazy, that's that's you know. And even
off the back of that, Ithen I was doing some television and the
producer was just sat next to me, a lovely, lovely young woman,
and I said to her, you'regoing somewhere at Christmas, aren't you.
And so she said I'm going itwas there. It was a honeymoon,

(16:18):
but they weren't going to get marriedanymore. They were just going to go
as friends. And I said, wherever that is, that's where I see
the turtles drowning. And still Ididn't know where it was. And I
just said, wherever that is,you mustn't go, because you know it's
dangerous. You could die. AndI said, and I'm that convinced that
you shouldn't go there, that thisis how I have to present this information
to you. And and it turnedout that her then ex partner did still

(16:45):
go and took a friend and theex the ex partner had his legs broken
and one of his arms broken inthe tsunami, and the young man that
went along with him, his frienddidn't I He passed, Wow, what
does love mean to you? Wow? I put the thing out on my

(17:11):
socials the other day about love andand a lot of people were sort of
saying, oh, I could dowith some love and thinking about it being,
you know, person to person,But I for me, love is
everything, do you know? AndAnd to have joy is love, family
is love, isn't it? Youknow? But also for me to have

(17:32):
the connection so personally. Love forme is the connection that I have with
people this side of life that Iget to work with and know and meet,
and also the the you know, the visitors from the other side of
life as well. So love forme is not is not just a personal
thing. I think it's a soulfulthing, very very soulful for me.
I know, there was an articlethat came out in the Evening Standard about

(17:56):
that the British people are are themost unhappiest people in the world. Is
that true? I mean I don'tthink so, but I think you know
a lot of Brits maybe because it'sthe social system or the class system.
I don't know. Have you haveyou come across that. I think I

(18:18):
can definitely say I've noticed again thisis post lockdown, as we say here,
that people are now falling into twocategories. You've got the beautiful,
lovely, enlightened people, and Idon't mean they need to be completely enlightened,
you know, but just are awarethat have kind of gone back to
the old ways of community and socialyou know, interaction. You've got those,

(18:45):
and then you've got the others andthe others to me, you know,
if I had to put them incolor. You know, you've got
the white, bright people and thenyou've got the grays. Because there are
a lot of people in this countrythat arm Israel and don't know how to
get back into steps and don't wantto be socializing, don't want to be

(19:07):
interacting, you know, don't wantto be sharing either. So I think
there's there's a there are a lotof miserable people. Yeah. I remember
years ago one of my very firstinterviews in London. It was a BBC
radio show. I think it wasSimon Simon Colin or Simon Simon something.
Anyway, it was the most negativeinterview. They were attacking me. There

(19:32):
were two people, professor from fromManchester and something else. But I thought,
wow, the people are so negative. What's going on? Yeah?
See but yeah, yeah, Iguess it's I guess people, you know.
But but then I see a lotof negative people in different countries also.
Yeah, I think it's it isacross the ball, but you know

(19:52):
UK especially And you mentioned the BBCinterviewing you im myself would not get an
interview on the BBC because of whatI do for a living. So it's
it's anything psychic, anything medium isno they will not interview me, advertise
me, not at all. Sowe still have and not just the BBC,

(20:18):
but we still have quite a blockon us being able to be spiritual,
you know, which surely we've comepast all that now, you know.
Yeah, Uh, talk to meabout your new magazine that you've got
that's premiering. What inspired you todo that? Well, We've we had
some really great magazines in the UKand unfortunately they've they've all you know,

(20:41):
they've been closing and I've been verylucky to be represented in them over the
years. And so I just thought, we really need a magazine for people
written by you know, by us, you know, rather than having a
copywriter or you know, just aregular journalist write stories about spirituality and all

(21:03):
manners. I thought, no,I'm going to bring the experts, you
know in and we're all right aboutwhat we know and what we experience every
day, you know. So,and I just put it out there to
the universe as you do. AndI have an incredible, incredible team of
people and it's just expanding. Sowe offer other spirit you know, if

(21:26):
you're if you're a spiritual person andyou would like to contribute, We're not
going to say no, you know, so, yeah, that was that
was just the inspiration so written forus by us. You know, brilliant.
Brilliant is Spirit and Destiny still inNo, that's gone. Yeah,
that's what I mean. And thatwas a fantastic magazine. I used to

(21:47):
have a column in that. Iloved Spirit Destiny. It was my favorite.
Yeah wow, yeah, Well whathere's one words I want you to
answer? And what does God meanto you? Everything? All encompassing?
Yes? What do you usually liketo do on a Sunday morning if I'm

(22:10):
not working? You tell me?I read? I love to read.
Yeah. If you could choose oneactress to play the part of you in
a film, who would it be? Oh? Wow, I've never been
asked this before. Who would itbe? Wow? You can think about

(22:37):
it. I know it's like, who would I have? Well, Patricia
Arquet obviously did Medium, so that'sthe first lady that I would go to
because she was incredible when she didthe TV show Medium. So maybe her.
Yeah, excellent, Okay, good, all right. So I know
that you've got a full schedule schedulecoming up, So if people want to

(23:00):
get in touch with you, theycan go on your social media or they
can get you at your website andfind out about your dynamic tour that's happening.
Yes, and how would you liketo leave a message for people who
maybe are skeptical or what would beyour message to them to listen and really

(23:26):
open their hearts and not be sojudgmental about what you do. And that's
the only message I ever say toanyone that comes to my audience, particularly
you know, when they're listening,it is just listen with an open heart,
you know. And I think sometimespeople are so closed and frightened of

(23:48):
what I can do and who Iam and other people like myself, So
it wouldn't hurt you just to sitfor a moment and open your heart.
Because a lot of the times whenyou speak to these people but skeptical or
judgmental, they'll always say, oh, but actually I did have something happened
to me when and they like totell you that story. You know.
So closed hearts and closed minds, you know, we don't need those.

(24:14):
We need open hearts and open mindsfor everybody in the world, not just
not just for mediums, but thatwould make the world a better place.
I think exactly. Well, Ithank you so much for spending this time
with me, and I wish yougreat success and I look forward to seeing
you in a couple of weeks inLondon. And thank you so much.

(24:36):
Tracy. And the people can buyyour books online, they can subscribe to
your magazine at your website, andI guarantee you will be full of joy
when you connect to Tracy's website.Thank you, Thank you, Gary,
thank you so much, thank youso much. Hi. I'm Gary Quinn
and thank you for joining me todayon this special edition. Until next time,

(25:00):
be well.
