Speaker 2 (01:50):
Thank you, Gary, Thank you so much for the introduction.
Speaker 3 (01:53):
Was great. That was great.
Speaker 2 (01:55):
I thought it was something else.
Speaker 1 (01:58):
Thank you, No, it's so great. We go way back.
Speaker 2 (02:01):
How long have we known each other probably fifteen years.
Speaker 1 (02:04):
Wow, you know, time goes by so fast. But I'm
so excited for your book that is out and it
was a big success in Italy. And what was that like,
I know it was your journey has started in so
many ways. You were an actor, but the acting, I
(02:26):
think is all about communicating with people and yourself. What
was that transition that you sort of felt you wanted
to really help people?
Speaker 2 (02:35):
Well, transition came actually came at eight thirty in the morning,
was here in Los Angeles and I was staying in
a hotel. That morning. I got up, like every morning
to do my meditation and when I sit down, I
closed my eyes as something happened that never happened before.
My head starts spinning and my body was really weak.
(02:57):
I don't know what was going on at my heart.
I thought was coming on from my chest and I
thought it was a heart attack. I thought, oh my god,
what's going on here? And uh, you know, and I
remember doing something with my hand. I give the impulse
to do this in my hand the opposite, I said,
oh my god, what's going on? And I was feeling
(03:18):
really really weak, and you know, I couldn't stand there.
But you know, I went to the bathroom and I
tried to throw up. I said, what's going on? I
thought it was a heart attack. I never felt so
close in that moment I saw myself. I saw this
man in the mirror and a very white like the
stable and with the you know, red eyes, and I said,
come on, Walter, you can do this. You can do this,
because I you know, my life being a boxer, race
(03:40):
car driver, I actually went to really I pushed to
the limit. But that point was really that was never
been so far so that moment, I said, you know
what in that moment, that in that exact moment when
I was watching myself in the mirror, and I said, Walter,
I wasn't thinking about all the things that was I
thought was so important that the career, my kids, money, no, no, no.
Speaker 3 (04:03):
I was thinking, it's just one thing.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
If this is your time, if you've done everything you
want to do, and the reason was and the answer
was now. So I actually say, oh my God, oh
my god, God, please give me my life back. And
somehow turned out that I went to the hospital, had
two strokes on my brain, little brain, and like nothing
like you know, just like this and that was the
(04:26):
wake up call. The wake up call was like, Okay, Walter,
now life is really short and you have to make
sure that you do everything.
Speaker 3 (04:35):
By the end of the day.
Speaker 2 (04:36):
You have to do everything you wanted to do. And
then I realized that what I wanted to do is
inspire people, give back to the people.
Speaker 3 (04:42):
See your life.
Speaker 2 (04:43):
It gave me so much through experience, through a lot
of things, and I learned a lot, and I and
that was the time to give back. So I said,
you know what, now you do you you settle down,
you do your journey inside of you. I went, that's
actually what talk about in the book. I went in
India and I spent time by myself and see, instead
(05:04):
of looking for things outside myself, I was looking inside
inside myself.
Speaker 3 (05:08):
Because we have to look for.
Speaker 2 (05:11):
The things that we're missing where they really are, not
not what where we want.
Speaker 3 (05:16):
Them to be.
Speaker 2 (05:17):
So that's very important that So I did that and
then it was so clear to me that I needed
to give back, give back, not to everyone, just who
who is ready to receive it, Who's ready to say,
you know what, I need that because right now people
are waiting for uh, they're struggling with their relationship, they're
struggling with their career, they're struggling.
Speaker 3 (05:36):
With their help. They're struggling in a life.
Speaker 2 (05:37):
Somehow they need they need hope. Someone they've been there,
Someone say you know what, you're not alone.
Speaker 3 (05:43):
You can do this.
Speaker 2 (05:45):
Just look in the right spot where the things are
that it's not inside outside of you, but it's inside
of you.
Speaker 1 (05:51):
Did you find Walter, that you saw your life flash
like for that moment in front of you, just like
bam bam, bam, bam bam. And you said, I've got a.
Speaker 2 (06:03):
In that moment, Yes, yeah, absolutely, Actually I had a
flash like I didn't know in that moment when I
was in the bathroom looking myself in the mirror. I
don't know.
Speaker 3 (06:12):
I was how much long? Was it?
Speaker 2 (06:14):
Probably ten minutes, five minutes, fifteen minutes?
Speaker 3 (06:16):
You know? For me, was like too much?
Speaker 2 (06:19):
Was really really long. And I saw a lot of things,
a lot of flashbacks. And I really, Gary, I really
thought it was my time. I really thought it was
my time. And and you know, and that's actually you
know the answers. You know, the question was if you've
done everything you wanted to do? And I believe this, Gary,
And I said this to everyone, every time, everywhere, every people.
Speaker 3 (06:41):
I need be sure.
Speaker 2 (06:44):
When the time will come for everyone. The answer has
to be yes. I've done all the things I wanted
to do in my life. I I You know, the
book says that everyone, every one of us, has an
incredible symphony.
Speaker 3 (06:59):
Don't die with the symphony inside of you.
Speaker 2 (07:01):
Let them out, let him out of the music, Let
the music out, or your music. Each one of us
has got his own symphony. He's got a unique symphony.
Let him out. Whatever's going to be right. Saying that,
don't care about the people. If they are gonna like
it or not, that's their problem. You do what you love,
You do what's your nature.
Speaker 3 (07:23):
You are here to shy.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
You're here to shy, You're here to smile, You're here
to say yes. Just like your book, You're here to
embrace this.
Speaker 3 (07:33):
And once you embrace this, everything changes your life, yourselves.
They turn to bad to good. That's actually scientifically approved.
So that's actually you know.
Speaker 2 (07:43):
You have to be who you really are, and nobody
can tell you who you really are except inside of you.
Speaker 1 (07:49):
And you know you've had such a diverse career. Most
people who are watching this for the first time They
don't know that you are an accomplished actor and personality
and singer and you're super known in.
Speaker 3 (08:03):
Italy And what was it like?
Speaker 1 (08:06):
I know, you won the first Survivor VIP, but going
back to you know, I was in Italy when you
were on Big Brother. I remember sitting in a cafe
with Guido and we saw you and was that in
locked you? They were locking you in Milan or that
was someone? Okay, okay, So I remember when you were
in that room. I mean, that was a lot of
(08:30):
mental stress to be around all those people. But did
you find that that was all the things that you,
let's say know about yourself, which is like an athlete,
which is someone who never gives up, that all came
into like handy, you were able to sort of bring
it all into your your life. I mean, I mean,
(08:54):
it's really amazing that you've been able to do all
these things globally.
Speaker 2 (09:01):
But to me was was just people, says Walter. You're
the only one that won't Survivor and be Brother in
Italy in the world. You know what what makes you win?
And I believe that what makes us win because we
are all winners. Somehow somewhere the thing that makes us win.
Speaker 3 (09:22):
It's when you let it go. The fear of losing.
Speaker 1 (09:25):
Hmm.
Speaker 2 (09:26):
Fear of losing is something that it keeps you away
from winning because you know, when you chase something, there's
something's gonna go away.
Speaker 3 (09:34):
But if you're okay, if you're you know what, I want.
Speaker 2 (09:37):
To win, but I'll be okay if I don't win.
Speaker 3 (09:40):
That's different. You know, I want my dream to come true.
Speaker 2 (09:43):
We're here in Los Angeles, so angel is the place
where everybody comes for the dreams. You know, we all
have dreams and and you know that's okay.
Speaker 3 (09:52):
I have a dream.
Speaker 2 (09:53):
But what if I don't make it, Well, I'm okay
with that too.
Speaker 3 (09:57):
That's the thing that's a click.
Speaker 1 (09:59):
I think that's it's the secret.
Speaker 2 (10:00):
Yes, yes, you're okay, okay, because you're okay no matter what.
You're perfect, you're complete, no matter what. If not you're
going to say, no, I'm not complete.
Speaker 3 (10:09):
We're not gonna get to that dream.
Speaker 2 (10:10):
I'll be complete. No, you're complete, go to the dream.
But you're still in a complete situation chasing that dream.
Speaker 1 (10:16):
It's a source of self love and acceptance and really
bringing that gratitude and happiness full circle. And then everything
comes to you. And I think that's what's happened to
you now in a different way. And sometimes people have
these wake up calls that are life changing. And I
think that's because I noticed I hadn't seen you in many,
(10:37):
many years, and you did have a big shift. There
was a big shift. I got, who's this waltz that
I'm sitting with today? You know, which is it's transformation.
That's what most people have to do in life. Absolutely
people are afraid to actually take that.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
Let it go, Yeah it go.
Speaker 1 (10:56):
So I think your book is going to be a
huge success. And and you know, many people talk about
being in the flow. What has been your biggest let's say,
opportunity to stay in the flow or how do you
Is there still a ritual now? I know you meditate?
What's the schedule the Walter Knudou program in the in
(11:18):
the in the morning week.
Speaker 2 (11:20):
Well, when I woke up, no matter what, I you know,
I was in Florida, and then it was a Los
Angeles and then I've been to Tennessee. I'm here, you know,
I'm going to be in the Tennessee and in Nashville
to do a speech in a college. So to me
as an honor. So I travel a lot, actually been.
I've done forty thousand kilometers in the last forty forty days.
(11:43):
And no matter what, to me, it's really important to
my rituals. You see, I created I created a lot
of after the book. I created a lot of programs.
And one is a method. I have a method. It's
called it's called the four A for method. Actually four
A because he's got A or A in Italian, but
you know in English it's not gonna be the four a's.
(12:04):
But so basically it's the first A is you gotta
stay in an environment that is healthy. And when I
say environment is healthy, it means people they have, you know,
like you same frequency of.
Speaker 3 (12:20):
Us or hire.
Speaker 2 (12:21):
So be aware who the people you stay with.
Speaker 3 (12:25):
Be aware in which.
Speaker 2 (12:27):
Environment you stay with, even you know with the you know,
uh electric majieti field that takes you down and all
those things. So it's very important the environment. Second thing
is the habit. What habit you have, What do you do,
what what's usually what you drink, what you eat, do
you exercise, what you think? All those things of habits.
(12:50):
People they don't know, but they get up in the
morning they drink coffee. Coffee is not good for you
in the morning, your empty stomach, it's not good.
Speaker 3 (12:56):
So it's not me.
Speaker 2 (12:57):
I'm not a doctor, but you know there's a scientist,
uh proving that. At the third A is you have
to have like a training, a schedule, a training. So
you go to the gym. People say, Walter, you're fifty
almost fifty five, how can you have those muscles?
Speaker 3 (13:12):
Well, you work out. You don't work out.
Speaker 2 (13:14):
Once every three months, you work out almost every day.
Speaker 3 (13:17):
You got to have a schedule.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
You go over there, you know, and when you go
to the gym, you know what to do. It's not
like you do you know, three reps here, four deps there. No, No,
you have to have a schedule and the four things.
You have to have a trainer. Someone that've done it,
has done it before you.
Speaker 3 (13:33):
They can show you the way.
Speaker 2 (13:35):
A lot of times I said, look, if you want
to learn how to get up, you know, to fly
a plane, you got to know where someone did it
at least thirty three four hundred times. You don't go
to someone they study it. I don't care how much
book is studied. I want to go somebody did it before.
(13:55):
So it's sort of really important. So to me that
very important. Rials richels. You wake up in them and
I meditate, and in meditation, I pray, I visualize. Visualization
is so important because actually I studying you know, epigenetic
and I've been studying also quantum physics. Quantum physics is
the observation of the party cell. Proves that you observe
(14:20):
the party cell observed.
Speaker 3 (14:22):
When you observe with.
Speaker 2 (14:23):
Your idea, then you create the things. And I talk
it in the book.
Speaker 3 (14:27):
You have the observer. So actually, actually they were.
Speaker 2 (14:30):
Saying that observation create realities is not true. Is the
act of observation that creates a version of a reality
that is unique of the observer. That's actually, you know, specified,
so you observed so and then I drink water, lemon, vegetables.
I try to eat proteins, the right proteins. I think
(14:53):
that for my opinion, meat is important. Depends on the body.
What works for me doesn't mean that they you know,
and I work for you. So each one of us
has to feel it. The best way is this. You
can go to the doctors. You can go, but you
have to feel yourself. You have to listen to yourself,
listen to your body. Is this thing good for me?
(15:13):
Is this thing not good for me? So let me
see what And when I say good, I'm not saying
something good today, something that makes you feel good tomorrow.
Because a lot of people they make a choice of
what's good today. They go to McDonald's. That's good today.
I mean, nobody ever said McDonald's.
Speaker 3 (15:30):
I don't like McDonalds. McDonald's is very good.
Speaker 2 (15:33):
I mean it's a tasty, but is it good for
your body now? So you have to make a choice.
Not really, what good for today is good for tomorrow
because we overestimate what we can do really in one day,
if we underestimate what you can do in a year,
so that actually we have to do this.
Speaker 3 (15:52):
We have to plan.
Speaker 2 (15:53):
We have to say, okay, where I want to be
in a year from now, three years from now, five
years from now, Where were my body wants to be,
lasuership wants to be, my career wants to be, my
financial situation wants to be. So that's alsual all those
questions we have to make to ourselves to manage the
best emotionally, financially, energetically, you know.
Speaker 3 (16:13):
All those things.
Speaker 1 (16:15):
If you could go back into time and ask somebody
a question that's no longer here.
Speaker 3 (16:21):
Who would it be?
Speaker 1 (16:23):
And what would you ask?
Speaker 2 (16:28):
Well, I will ask, I will go back. I will
go back and ask and ask Jesus, and I will
ask him.
Speaker 3 (16:43):
I don't know. To speak with him would be great,
but I don't know. If I will ask him something,
I probably will, you know, just.
Speaker 2 (16:50):
Look at him will be great, but I don't know.
Maybe probably I will can tell me that you love me,
Tell me that you love me.
Speaker 3 (17:05):
What does love mean to Walter?
Speaker 2 (17:09):
Love means it's open, It's three hundred and sixty degrees,
is universal. Love is not about books or about movies
or about songs. Love it's complication, it's complete. Love is freedom.
Love is respect, Love is giving and not expecting anything back.
(17:33):
Love is uncondition. That's why, that's why the love of
God is so incredible, and us as a human being,
we don't accept that we can understand God because we
cannot really understand what love is all about. And it's like,
oh my God, I can't believe there's something or someone
is loving me no.
Speaker 3 (17:54):
Matter what, no matter all.
Speaker 2 (17:56):
You know, all the things that I've done is loving me.
Speaker 3 (17:59):
Yes, it does. How can it be? So I believe
that we have a hard.
Speaker 2 (18:04):
Time maybe understanding really God, feeling God, because we don't
really as a human being, our brain cannot understand what
love is all about.
Speaker 3 (18:13):
But one day we will, we will.
Speaker 1 (18:16):
You know, after you finish this experience, because we're all
going to make a transition. What do you want them
to say or how do you want to be remembered
when they say Walter knew though was what would be
some of the words you want him or people to say,
oh he was well like.
Speaker 2 (18:37):
Him to say he was. He tried to do his
best to help each person that he met in his
life to let him out the best of themselves. And
not because he was a you know, a hero now,
he was just he was believing them. You see, I
(19:00):
believe that each one of us give to the to
the world. What would miss it in our life? And
you know in my childhood I miss you know, the
love of my mom and the support and believing that
and that that thing that, Okay, Walter, I believe in you.
You can do this, you could do that. So that's
(19:21):
what I actually give back to the people. I said,
I believe in you, no matter what I need to
know you.
Speaker 3 (19:26):
I believe in you. I'm right behind you, actually right
beside you. So no matter what, I'm right here. Go
for it.
Speaker 2 (19:33):
Whatever you, whatever's for is important to you, whatever is
deep important to you, I'm right here supporting you.
Speaker 1 (19:40):
I'm so grateful for you to be here in person
with me today. It's such a pleasure, Walter. And if
people want to get your book, they can buy it.
Speaker 3 (19:49):
Online yes, Amazon, yes, and.
Speaker 1 (19:52):
They can also go to your website that's an Italian
but they can also follow you on social media. The
book is up there. Awaken scream and thank you. Thank
you for coming in. And I look forward to seeing
all the great things you're going to be doing in
this life.
Speaker 3 (20:10):
That's great. That's great.
Speaker 2 (20:11):
Thank you, Gary, thank you well.
Speaker 3 (20:13):
It's been a pleasure to be here.
Speaker 1 (20:15):
I'm Gary Quinn. Join me for another episode of Ready
Set Live. Until next time, be well,
