band that has been putting out music for well over
thirty years and have been connecting with the community for
over forty years, doing great things such as dropping music

Now Billy Mystic and the Mystic revealing, I'm telling you
that this is the ocean front and talking about the
ocean front. We was having a deep conversation with Billy
Mystic during that interview and he gave me some great
advice that is just so wonderful. I live on the

beach and I never got to really go surfing, and
him being an avid surfer and even to the point
where he teaches how to surf, he told me to
go out there one day and just enjoy the water.
Go out there in the middle of the ocean where
the ocean and nobody around can control you, but you

wonderful wonderful conversation, and I just want to encourage you

about me, I used to interview rappers, hip hop artists
back in the day. I was part of the hip
hop community around the time where hip hop started to
take a different turn from where it used to be.
You're not going to say if it was negative a positive,
but it was a different turn, and it just wasn't

to me. The di vibe just was not there anymore.
I just did I feel it one hundred percent like
I usually would, and and I just had to get
away from it. And for about a year I was lost.
You know, I had listened to reggae. I was an
avid listener of reggae, but I just never thought about
getting into the reggae sphere because I didn't know as

much about reggae as I did about hip hop. But
now all these years later, knowing what I know about reggae,
I'm so glad I took that journey because my soul
feels that pieces feel so much better than it did before.
I have never felt atonement as I have. Since I've
been listening to reggae, I've gotten closer to the most high,

and I believe it was the music that got me there.
There was a lot of great artists that I got
to interview that just had the spirit in them and
they would preach without preaching. And one of those great
artists that I got to interview, outside of Billy Mystic,
was Redeemed. He's a young I wouldn't say young, it's
a middle aged, you know, he's my age. He's the

spirits of life, you know. And his messages is so pure.
He uses dance hall rhythms to pass a message that
would cure any soul from heartache. And I just want
people to understand how that is possible. I mean, when
people don't understand how important words are, how powerful words are,

and words are food for the mind, and if you
could utilize them correctly, then you can build anybody where
you could tear down any nation. So I just want

your faith in ancestral connection influence the messages you bring forth.

it from growing up going to church as as younger

know Christianity and the whole soul, you know what I mean.
So like growing up in Jamaica, you know, there's a

especially of a certain age we grew up. We had
