(01:42):
Lord are right, bringing joy to the heart. The commandments
of the Lord are clear, giving insight for loving. Reverence
for the Lord is pure, lasting forever. The laws of
the Lord are true. Each one is fair. This morning,
(02:03):
I want to talk about the rules of the game.
Some coaches believe that rules are only included in a
game to make sure no one cheats. Other coaches think
rules are enforced to make their jobs harder, preventing them
from doing what is necessary to win. They see officials
(02:28):
as ought to get them, but neither is true. Imagine
what it would be like there was no rules in sports.
What would soccer look like? It would be a game
that where players didn't know or understand they didn't have
to trouble or there were no fouls, there was no boundaries.
(02:57):
They wouldn't know if they could run or stop. Different
scenarios would eventually end in chaos. Obviously, the rules in
a game are in place to make sure it runs
smoothly and fairly, to keep everyone honest, and to ensure
(03:22):
the safety of all players. The same is true with
Gods rules for our lives. The standards are precipes and
are in place to protect us, not to keep us
from having fun. He established them to maintain order, otherwise
(03:44):
they would be mass chaos. In fact, gods laws keep
our world from spinning out of control, whether we believe
it or not publicly rules or for our benefit. The
problem is that none of us keep God's rules, no
matter how hard we try. We need ongoing help of
(04:09):
the true one and the only one who always obeyed,
the only one who fulfilled every law of God on
our behalf, Jesus Christ. He is the standard for how
we love, and his grace through the Cross is our
(04:30):
only hope for the times we fail to live as
he has asked of us. God's love in Christ keeps
us walking the path He created for us. Father, this morning,
I thank you for establishing order and for protecting us
(04:57):
and giving us protection and benefit. Father, this morning, I
pray that you give us strength to follow you and
your commandments that you have set before us. Have a
great Monday. On this the fifteenth of September twenty twenty five.
