How is everybody? Hello, Lord's Girl, Hello, Vicky Moore, Hello
tater Bug, thank you for moderating. Hello, catch up on
crime Dark Side of the Moon. Nice to see you,
miss Lisa. All Right, we're the gang. Some of the

(02:44):
gang is here. Zenjen Hello everybody. So I wanted to
go over a new filing today in Donna Edelson's case,
and it answered there's some questions about the relationship between

(03:05):
Donna Edelson and this inmate turned state's witness or what
we've been calling jailhouse snitches. So there's two of them
in this case. Okay, this concerns the first one, which
is Drena Bernhardt. Okay, does everybody remember Drina. There's also

(03:32):
Patricia Bird, also turned state witness in this case. But
there's another snitch, okay, so this filing has to be clear.
This filing concerns Drina Bernhardt and Donna Aedelson referred to

(03:53):
her as my jail daughter. So they were really close.
That's what we hearing reports that they were really close
in Leon County jail and then Drena Bernhardt became turned

(04:14):
state's witness, and it sounds like from this filing that
Donna Adelson was giving her a script, and I really
hope we see that script. Apparently Drina was taking notes
about what to say when Drena would testify for her.
So we heard about these other snitches. Cassidy Conroy, who

(04:35):
was going to testify, always about Katie mcbanawa. But these
are kind of frequent flyers in Leon County. But we
never heard of those other two ever. Again they disappeared.
Remember the testimony that Donna wanted to preserve. Of the

(04:56):
two inmates that gave detail e about Katie, so one
was Cassidy Conroy. She says, wait until I come back.
I'm going to take care of that family. So this
is Cassidy Conroy quoting apparently, though I think this is

(05:16):
right from Donna the braid of Donna Aedelson. She said,
wait until I come back. This is the way Dona
Edelson testified. This was a hearing to try to get
somehow preserve Cassidy Conroy's testimony. She said, wait till I
come back. I'm going to have to take care of

(05:37):
that family. Wait until they see what they are going
to get, and I'm going to get a reduced sentence.
That sounds a little like very awkward again, And she said,
had her plan work? Now, I'm forgetting the name of
this other snitch. Forgive me. She hasn't come into the

(05:58):
come into play recently, Cassidy Conroy and Hm, I'd have
to go back to my own I'll find it. I'll
return to it, and I'll find the name of this
woman's name for you. She said, had her planned work,
she would not be where she is. She would be
sitting pretty in Hawaii, drinking a fancy drink strange another

(06:21):
fancy tee, fancy the fanciful fiction. You know, Donna has
a fondness for this word fancy. So those are the
two in the beginning. We've never heard from them since
they're now non characters. But we're hearing of a new

(06:41):
snitch who sounds like she's going to testify for the defense.
Just by this defense filing is coming out of the woodwork,
and she's a frequent flyer, sounds like in Leon County.
And she says that Drena Bernhardt set up Donna Adelson.

(07:08):
I mean, that's the way the defense is making it sound.
It's a very juicy document. Let's get into it without
further ado, let's not delay. Does everybody understand what I'm
talking about? Does everybody get this? Should I go over
it again? It's a little confusing with all these characters.
So to repeat myself, there is a snitch now going

(07:34):
to testify for the state, and a lot of it
has been redacted, but what's been reported is that she's
going to testify about one of two things are both okay.
So one of the things she's going to testify about
is Donna looking to elicit favorable testimony from fellow inmates,

(07:58):
one of them being her from this filing, sounds like
being her what she called her jailhouse, her jail daughter,
Drena Bernhardt, who portrayed Donna and turn state witness, and
she may testify about Donna using her lawyer's Apple watches

(08:25):
and perhaps trying to put out hits on some of
the witnesses in this case, including Robert Adelson, her son.
That's also been reported. It's all been so redacted it's
hard to know how if that. The defense says that

(08:47):
that investigation came up with nothing where they tapped Harvey
Adelson's phone, Donna Adelson's husband's phone. They say it's came
up with nothing, no coroborating evidence. But will it come
in as evidence from Drena Bernhardt or Patricia Bird. We
know that evidence is also testimony, so if they experience

(09:13):
something directly, heard something directly, they can all testify to it. So,
so what this filing is doing is it's it wants
to throw out Darena Bernhardt's testimony and basically her own

(09:36):
her own experience of Donna scripting testimony for her for
her future trial. And I assume this would be about
Katie mcbanoa. I would assume favorable testimony. I don't know
how else a jail inmate could have any other experience
but besides Katie mcbanoa. But here it is. Let me

(10:00):
pull it up for you guys. So defendant's motion to suppress,
so that means they don't want the jury to hear it.
The defendant, Donna S. Adelson, by and through the undersigned

(10:22):
Council first their into Article one, Section twelve of the
Florida Constitution, the sixth and fourteenth Amendments to the United
States Constitution, moves this court to statements she allegedly she
allegedly made to Jerina Bernhardt and in support thereof states

(10:44):
as follows. On November fifteenth, twenty and twenty three, Missus Adelson.
I love that they call her Missus Adelson. Indicted for
first degree murder. Sometimes for people say, oh, no, they

(11:05):
always call them Missus Adelson. Not so in filings. Sometimes
they'll call them by their last name. Sometimes they'll call
them the miss missus is correct, but Missus Adelson was
indicted for first degree murder, conspiracy to commit first degree murder,

(11:26):
and solicitation to commit first degree murder. On April seventh,
twenty twenty five, the state disclosed the existence of two
jailhouse informants, including Terina Bernhardt. Although recording of her interviews
with law enforcement were provided, the undersigned was unable to

(11:48):
depose Miss Bernhardt until August eleventh, twenty twenty five. Really,
so the trial starts August nineteenth, and August eleventh was
not long ago because Bernhardt had violated her probation and
pre trial release conditions and could not be located. This

(12:12):
is curious because Drina Bernhardt, and I know I've showed
that horrible picture of her before, but look, she was
once very pretty. Look at that difference between that muk
shut and the more recent one. But she was also
and here's another picture of her where she looks quite

(12:34):
pretty too, or vibrant is another way to say it.
Missing endangered person woman last seen Friday in the area
of Outa a ah Nen. I don't know how to
pronounce it. Guys, I know you told me out of

(12:55):
A nine nine, I don't know, Tallahassee, Florida. This was
in twenty eighteen. In July, the Tallahassee Police Department is
seeking information about the location of Drino Bernhard, a thirty
eight year old last scene Friday while in the area

(13:18):
of the fifteen hundred block of Atafanine. She was seen
wearing a white tshirt, white pants, and no shoes. She's
about five feet tall. The Tallahassee Police Department expressed concern
for her welfare and they're asking anyone with information to

(13:42):
call that number on the bottom. So she's gone, she's
gone missing before on okay, okay, although okay, where am

(14:04):
I is? Burne okay, head violated. Bernhardt was arrested on
her warrants on August fifth, twenty twenty five, and the
undersigned promptly scheduled her deposition. Then, on August twelve, twenty
twenty five, the state disclosed another witness, Nicky Easterwood. So

(14:26):
is this for? Oh? This actually sounds like it's another
snitch and I'll show you her her mugshot in a
second aka Micky Lang, who was also incarcerated with Adelson
and Bernhardt, and provided a recorded interview which took place

(14:48):
on August eleven, twenty twenty five, with investigator Jason Newlan
and special Agent Patrick Sanford. During this interview, among other statements,
Missus Easterwood disclosed that, rather than Bernhardt merely listening to
Adelson makes statements about her case, Bernhardt also asked Adelson questions.

(15:11):
As a result of Bernhardt acting as an agent of
the state, Missus Adelson moves to suppress any statements Aedelsen
made after December twenty, twenty twenty four. So this investigation,
what's called, quote unquote, the investigation in these filings concerning

(15:32):
Donna Aedelson either trying to harm people or trying to
evoke favorable testimony in her case from fellow inmates, did
not start till December twenty twenty four. So this is
they said, she can say anything about her good relationship
with Donna Aedelson before she ever, before Donna Aedelson ever,

(15:58):
you know, before she really started digging and writing it
down and keeping record of all the things Donna Adelson
wanted her to say. I mean, who knows when this
plot started. We don't know because we haven't seen her depositions.
But I would think that this plot wouldn't have started
till I don't know, at least with Drina until December.

(16:22):
Bernhart testified that she made Oh but maybe it says
Bernhardt testified she met Adelson in the annex. According to
jail records, Adelson was initially moved into the annex in
August twenty twenty four. Bernhardt was arrested for a violation
of probation and new charge on September eighteenth, twenty and

(16:46):
twenty four. On December fifth, twenty twenty four, Bernhardt was
initially interviewed by Detective Joshua Turner of the Leon County
Sheriff's Office. During this inter Turner provided Bernhart with his
contact information. Subsequent to this interview, Bernhardt wrote a letter

(17:08):
to Turner, which he received through in her office mail.
A copy of this letter is attached and incorporated as
Exhibit A, which you think is going to be juicy,
but it's all redacted. It's all black when you go
to it, like everything else in concerning this new investigation.
On December eighteen, twenty twenty four, Turner again Bernheart. During

(17:36):
this interview, Bernhardt provided Leon County State's Attorney's Office with
information about a human trafficking case in Adelson's case. This
is interesting to me because Patricia Byrd, so the other
snitch not during a Bernhardt, the other snitch who I

(18:01):
showed you her picture. Let me just show you again
so you know, so you can keep track of all
these people. This woman was involved in a human trafficking case,
so I wonder if it concerns that or if it's
another one in Adelson's case. After the December eighteenth, twenty

(18:23):
twenty four interview, Turner contacted investigator Jason Newlan. On December twenty,
twenty twenty four, Bernhardt was brought to the State's Attorney's
office to be interviewed. During this interview, Bernhardt confirmed her
current plea offer was five to six years. During her deposition,

(18:47):
Bernhardt conceded she was both a violent felony offender of
special concern and qualified for sentencing as a prison releasey reaffing.
The statements Bernhardt made are addressed in the previously filed

(19:08):
July twenty nine, twenty five Motion and Limony and transcripts
of those interviews have previously been provided to the court,
but not to the public because they're all redacted. Bernhardt
told the state on December twenty, twenty twenty four, that
Adelson called Bernhardt her jail daughter. So during that during

(19:36):
the recorded interviews, law enforcement told Bernhardt not to ask
Adelson questions and to just listen to whatever Adelson said
about the case. So this is what they're arguing. The
defense is arguing all through this filing is that we

(19:57):
can't trust any of Drina Bernhardt's investigation, i e. Her
writing down of what Donna Adelson was scripting for her
to say on the stand as a defense witness, because
Dreena Bernhardt asked questions even though she was specifically asked

(20:19):
not to ask too many questions. But can you imagine
what a strange, stilted conversation that would be. So here's
Dreena Bernhardt, who's really close with Donna Adelson.

Speaker 4 (20:32):
Oh, Drena, you're my chill daughter. I love you so much, Dreina,
you know.

Speaker 5 (20:38):
And then they're talking the way they normally have talked, right,
and then when it comes time in the conversation where
Drena's supposed to inquire further where any anybody would inquire
further or ask a question. Drena is supposed to just

(20:59):
sit there and shut her mouth and stay silent and
not tip off Donna, Like wouldn't be a little odd
if she didn't ask any questions at all. I mean,
she's not Charlie Edelson, who you don't have to say anything.
You just have to go wow, oh great, and it'll
just keep talking. We haven't seen that from Donna, that

(21:21):
kind of chatterbox syndrome. So of course you're gonna want
to ask questions and keep her talking or inquire further,
like that's the way conversations go. Specifically, Newland stated, so
you cannot be an agent for us. I can't send
you in there to ask her any questions. Listen. So

(21:45):
basically it means that, so by when Jason Newlan says that,
it's like, I'm not sending you in there to set
her up, because her defense is just going to call
it entrapman, and they're still calling it entrapman. Essentially, Listen,
if she has a casual conversation with you, there's nothing
stopping you from having your conversation with her. Don't make

(22:07):
things weird. Don't initiate any of these conversations. So they're
taking a little bit of truth and really milking it
for all it's worth and twisting it, as defense attorneys
always do. Newland continued, stating, there is one of the
biggest things that is one of the biggest things that

(22:29):
is to come out of this meeting with us is
don't make it awkward, but definitely do not go back
there on our behalf thinking you need to get us
more information emphasis added. And then there's a typo the
right there, just hanging out. I don't know what Donna's
lawyers are doing with that. I guess they edited it

(22:53):
and they just left the other okay. Sixteen. Bernhardt testified
that she provided written documents to turn her of what
Adolson asked instructed Drena Bernhard to say when testifying on
ten different occasions.

Speaker 6 (23:11):
So I have a new script for you.

Speaker 5 (23:14):
Maybe you could say that Katie said that she.

Speaker 6 (23:19):
Was not only gonna set up Charlie, but she was
gonna set up that horrible, terrible.

Speaker 5 (23:28):
Mother Donna to the fancy lady.

Speaker 4 (23:32):
Maybe you could say.

Speaker 6 (23:35):
Katie said, I'm gonna make sure Charlie goes down and
that fancy lady goes down, maybe something like that.

Speaker 5 (23:44):
I would love to see what the script is. When
Donna Aedelsen writes dialogue, it is the worst, the worst,
the most stilted, unbelievable, corny, oh wooden dialogue you've ever
heard in your life. She later testified this happened more

(24:08):
than ten times. So was it ten times or more
than ten times? I would believe Donno with the Adelson pushiness,
would definitely be probably more than ten times. But is
it an exaggeration? Who knows? Turner testified in his deposition
deposition this took place once or twice, so she's Bernhard

(24:36):
is saying that she provided written documents to Turner twice
and that ten times, and Turner saying he got documents twice,
So maybe that is an exaggeration. Maybe she wrote it
down ten times and handed them in twice. Who knows.
We know that there's going to be weaknesses and all this.

(24:58):
Anytime you have a jail house wormant, you're gonna have
weaknesses in their testimony. They're not professional witnesses, and they're
often broken people with personality disorders and other issues. Seventeen
during her August eleven, twenty twenty five, deposition. Bernhardt initially

(25:23):
claimed she did not ask Adolsen any questions, but later
said that she did ask Adolsen questions. The fact that
Bernhart engaged in conversation rather than just acting as a
listening post as rather than just sitting there mute. The
point was to not ask her questions to get her going,

(25:45):
is my understanding. But do you see how they've twisted
this so that they can't say it's entrapment. Donna has
to start talking about this on her own with Adolson.
Is corroborated by as subsequently identified witness on August eleven,
twenty twenty five, Mickey Easterward informed law enforcement Bernhard question

(26:10):
and manipulated Adelson. So this makes it sound like is
she going to be a but the state's saying that
they're using her as a witness. Now, let me show
you a picture of this Mickey Easterwood to just give
you an idea. She's another frequent flyer. So here's one

(26:34):
of her mug shots, and then there's a more This
is a more recent one Mickey Melissa Melissa Easterwood, and
she was arrested as this say is in July eighth,

(26:57):
twenty twenty five. Or possession of controlled substances or substance okay,
back to this. On August eleventh, twenty twenty five, Mickey
Easterwood informed law enforcement Bernhardt questioned and manipulated Adelson. During

(27:18):
the August eleventh, twenty twenty five interview, Easterwood said that quote,
it was very obvious that she was trying to get
information out of her out of Donna. Well, it wasn't
obvious to Donna. Donna didn't seem to notice. Instead of
acting as a listening post, Bernhardt was not merely a

(27:39):
passive listener. Rather, she continued to engage in conversations with Adelson.
Statements purportedly made by Adelson after December twentieth twenty five
were a product of these conversations. The state's desire to
elicit additional statements from Adelson resulted in three additional recorded

(28:00):
interviews with Bernhardt January thirteenth, January twenty ninth, and February eleventh.
So is this done through her lawyer's phones, through Harvey's phone,
It's like a three way. Was she in jail at
the time and she did she have a listening device
in jail? Really hard to know. According to jail records.

(28:24):
Easterwood was incarcerated. Here's the answer to this. Incarcerated from
July twenty fifth until August and again November until February tenth,
So this is when she was at home. It had
to be through either Donna's phone or Harvey's phone. Interesting,

(28:48):
and this was a whole FBI staying done on Harvey's phone.
So this is some of the stuff we don't know
is about this investtigation. We know next to nothing about
this investigation, the scope of it. But I find it

(29:10):
curious that we have again another snitched. This Mickey Easterwood
just comes out of the woodwork. This is the first
time we've heard of her. Pretty amazing, and so that's
and then it just goes into legal argument here. So

(29:34):
they're just looking to suppress statements made by Adelson to Bernhardt,
which Bernhardt revealed during these interviews. So ultimately they're looking
to shut up Bernhardt and they've been looking which makes
me think that this investigation, so anything concerning these snitches

(29:55):
or Harvey Aedelson's phone being tapped has it's been totally
redacted from the public. I mean, this is the most
that we've really gotten details about this investigation. Since the
start of it. We don't know what she was what

(30:16):
kind of testimony she was eliciting. I'm sure it's favorable testimony,
and I would think it was testimony because we already
have the hearing where Donna says she wanted to preserve
the testimony of two other inmates because they had heard
Katie make something. So I assume that Donna's using a
Charlie Aedelson was extorted defense two point zero, so that

(30:42):
any checks she wrote were for Charlie's extortion, et cetera,
et cetera, et cetera, et cetera. So I think she's
going to be building on that for her defense. It's
a stupid defense, but having not worked at all for
Charlie Aedelson. But so let me just check in with

(31:02):
you guys, how do you feel about this? Donna may
well very well get off right. You never know, you
never know. It's a pretty hard case. There's a lot
of but like I said, these juries, I hope they
don't have a young jury. These juries have had years

(31:22):
and years of true crime media and Innocence Project propaganda
and this idea that so many wrongful convictions happen, and
that really improbable almost impossible things happen in cases. I mean,

(31:42):
they've indoctrinated. They've done a great job in doctrinating the whole,
the whole world with this nonsense. I told you when
I was a juror, right before we the first vote
was eleven to one guilty. There's a guy saying, well,
there's so many wrongful convictions, but this isn't one of them.

(32:04):
Young guy. Hello ROBERTA Marcie. I wonder what your coverage
of the trial will be. I am going to be
live streaming the trial and then doing shows at night
at six, so Monday through Friday, I'll be live streaming.
I may do like I did during the Karen Reid trial,

(32:24):
one show during the weekend, so probably six days a week,
maybe seven days a week. So i'll be will be.
May you receive many super chats all thanks Marcie. I
have a slight feeling that you are underpaid on channel.
Love your channel. Thanks Marcy, Hey, Jennifer Harmon, nice to

(32:47):
see you. Thanks for gifting five memberships. Very generous of you.
They'll be passed out at random. All right. I heard
rumors about what they do in women's jails, Okay, anyone
else have anything to say about this. I think it's interesting.

(33:12):
I think it's pretty compelling stuff. I think we dote.
The things that I'm most looking forward to hearing about
in Donna's trial is Robert Adelson's testimony, and I hope
we hear from him. I think that's going to be
really jaw dropping. I think I'm curious to hear how
Wendy Aedelson's testimony changes. It always changes slightly every time

(33:34):
she testifies. Charlie Edelson, he's now in Leon County. Back
in Leon County must feel like a vacation for him
from North Dakota getting ready. He's awaiting testifying in Donna
Aedelson's trial. He looks pretty good, very much the same

(33:55):
as how we saw him in at his trial. But
I'm most interested in hearing about what they call in
these filings as quote the investigation unquote, And I'm curious
as to how accurate the media reporting has been on it.

(34:16):
So there may be the testimony may be confined to
just Donna Adelson eliciting favorable and made up testimony, things
that came out of her head, you know, false testimony

(34:37):
from looking for my inmates who will testify to it.
By a script that she wrote in her trial. And
I'd be curious to hear what Donna Aedelson offered to
give them, was it commissary? There certainly was an effort
made in Donna Aedelson's hearing where she complained about her

(35:00):
her arm, to give a reason as to why she
was ordering so many packages and that she was extorted
and that's why Harvey was ordering so many packages for her.
Thought that was curious. Maybe she was paying Drina at
all in commissary packages that get mailed in and Harvey

(35:21):
only had to buy them and mail them in. Or
was she offering money? And because there's also reporting that
Donna Aedelson went into harm Darena Bernhardt's mother, so her

(35:41):
at one time jail daughter's mother. So was she having
Harvey make payments to Darna Bernhardt's mother? Very very compelling,
And we hear about any of Donna Edelson's efforts to

(36:07):
harm these inmates or inmates mother Robert Adelson, and the
other one was Catherine mcbanaa they wanted to harm. So
it was Katie mcbanoa, Durina Bernhardt's mother, and Robert Adelson.

(36:28):
That was what was reported. But the defense says when
they actually did an FBI sting and recorded Harvey Edelson's phone,
they found nothing but maybe Drena Burnhardt, maybe some of
these other government witnesses, state witnesses no more, and testimony

(36:54):
is evidence. So if they saw something, experience something, it's
all evidence, right, you know, guilty people get off. That's
that's our So, so that is we're gonna keep it

(37:26):
short today. That is what I have for today. I
think it's a very compelling viling by the defense. They're
saying her fourth Amendment right has been violated, in her
in another amendment has been violated. Let's say her sixth
Amendment right, excuse me, has been violated. And there's one more,

(37:54):
missus Adelson's sixth Amendment right, yeah, has been violated. So
I assume that has to do with the fact that
they couldn't get to Darina Bernhardt quickly enough, that they
didn't have enough time to prepare, because they only got

(38:17):
to depose her on the eleventh. My understanding, I've heard
rumors it's not listed on Donna Edelson's chart yet, but
that there will be a hearing motions hearing at one
point thirty on Monday. If so, I will be live streaming,
but it's certainly not up on her. It's not up

(38:39):
yet on her of case. That's up on Leanne County
Clerk of Circuit Court, whatever or online case file. All right,
so I'm going to end of this episode the way
I usually do as a victim impact statement. This was

(39:13):
written in Sigfredo Garcia and Catherine mcmanoa's first trial to
the Honorable James C. Hankinson. I have known the Marquelle
family since the summer of nineteen seventy eight, when they
moved from Montreal into the house directly next door to
mine in Toronto. Our families became fast and everlasting friends.

(39:38):
Shelley is to this day my oldest and dearest friend.
Since we were eight years old, our lives have been intertwined.
Shelley and I attended the same schools, summer camps, and universities.
We had our children at the same time, and they

(39:59):
attended school together as well. We have been very fortunate
to maintain such a rich and loving friendship over the
last forty two years. Danny left Toronto for university in
nineteen ninety one. Although I didn't see him often, we
stayed in touch over social media, as well as during

(40:21):
the many visits he made to Toronto. He always made
an exceptional effort to keep in touch with all of
his friends and family. Despite the geographic distance between Shelley
and Danny, their relationship remained strong. As their families grew,
Danny made a concerted effort to ensure that his children

(40:43):
knew their family in Toronto. Because family was so important
to Danny and the Markelles, Danny was determined to keep
the bond strong and often brought his family to Toronto
for a week at a time. In the spring of
twenty fourteen, Danny brought his children to Toronto to spend

(41:06):
Passover together with his whole family. I bumped into him
in the foyer of the school that both my children
and Shelley's children. That's Dan Markeell's sister, Shelley and Shelley
Shelley's children attended. Danny was very much looking forward to
surprising his nieces and nephews at pickup time with his presence.

(41:29):
We chatted for a while as we waited for the
kids to emerge from school. He asked with genuine interest
for updates about my family. He then told me about
the tough time he was experiencing at home with his
divorce proceedings. It was obvious that he was working through
some very trying situations, but nonetheless he was firm in

(41:54):
his commitment to his children and their well being. I
was truly impressed by the love and devotion he had
for his children, and it was clear that they were
his most treasured possession. He alluded to the difficulties that
the Atolson family were creating in trying to reconcile the

(42:16):
various agreements. Despite these troubles, there was nothing that would
stand in the way of him being with his children,
providing them with the love, care, and education that he
was so very passionate about. Upon Danny's death a few

(42:37):
months later, I watched the demoralizing effect it had on
his family, and particularly my friend Shelley. Throughout her life,
Shelley was an emotionally strong, resolved, and focused person. She
was the one I would always turn to in my

(42:59):
moments difficulty. However, the media attention, endless questions about Danny's
murder and protracted legal proceedings have worn on Shelley and
her family. Their emotional fatigue became clear to me, and
I had not seen this before from Shelley. Moreover All,

(43:22):
the uncertainty about the trial and its outcome has forced
Shelley to put many things in her own life on hold,
and this has worn on her greatly. Over the last
few years, the Marquelle family has continuously made efforts to
see the boys, send gifts, call, or FaceTime on birthdays

(43:45):
and Jewish holidays, but their attempts have been unsuccessful. The
frustration the Marquelle family has had to endure because of
their inability to connect with Danny's children has been clear
and hard to watch for. The Marquel's family is and
always will be so important. Danny's boys are a critical

(44:11):
part of the Markelle family, but they no longer carry
the family's name. They no longer know the family, as
it has been almost three and a half years since
they interacted with Shelley and her family. They no longer
have their aunt, uncle, grandparents, and first cousins to know

(44:33):
and love. Shelley and her family are heartbroken by this reality.
The impact of the situation has been significant and will
be lasting for Shelley, the Markelle family, and ultimately Danny's sons. Sincerely,

(44:53):
