In the city of Drakenholde, the ancient dragon Vorthyrax the Crown Beneath stirs underneath the streets, threatening to return after 5,000 years of imprisonment. As the Seals of Vaeloris begin to weaken, a group of unlikely adventurers must uncover secrets, survive political intrigue, and decide if they’ll be the realm’s salvation—or its doom.

🎲 Welcome to Episode 3 of Same Crit Different Day – a D&D 5e actual play podcast set in the world of Vaeloris, using the new 2024 ruleset! After surviving the Ashen Scales’ attack and uncovering a map tied to ancient secrets, the party finds themselves drawn deeper into Drakenholde’s hidden history. Their journey leads them to Alric, a member of the mysterious Order of the Seals — an ancient brotherhood sworn to guard the powerful magic that once trapped the tyrant dragon, Vorthyrax, beneath the city. In this episode, the party learns the true origin of the Seals of Vaeloris and just how perilously close they might be to breaking. Even more troubling, evidence suggests that someone with influence—and inside knowledge—has been aiding the cult from the shadows. With the name Kalren now known, the party must plan their next move carefully.

Time is running out, and the Ashen Scales’ next strike could be even deadlier. Will the secrets of the past be the key to saving Drakenholde’s future?
