An upcoming artist, The Kraken is a singer and songwriter of Electronic Music. Born in Brazil, she's been crossing cultural borders, bringing her Pop Electronic Music to the world.
Only 24 years old, the Kraken had her second song signed by Universal Music and featured in Hit Mania 2016 Album along with big names like Hardwell, Avicii, Lost Frequencies, Dimitri Vegas, Like Mike, and many others. Her new releases are now signed by Warner Chappell Brazil, with more than half a million views on Youtube and more than 600,000 plays on Spotify.
Having learned English and Spanish by herself, she started her career writing all her songs in English, which led her to pursue the music industry outside of Brazil, since Brazilian record labels were only interested in songs written and sung in Portuguese. Working with producers all over the world helped The Kraken develop her skills as a songwriter and create a unique way of exploring her diverse cultural background.
Her new song, "You and I", brings out her soft side, dealing with the feelings that come with unexpected love. In this song, The Kraken plays with the words "I Die", referring to an expression used by Brazilian teens to talk about something that has impacted them, in a funny and dramatic way. "You and I" was a turning point in The Kraken's career because she found a middle ground between her Heavy Electronic (EDM and Dubstep) and her Pop Dance side.
