It is Tuesday, May twenty, twenty twenty five, another wonderful
day and another day to be thankful. And as I
always say, if you focus on what is good, then
you can project something good to happen when you focus
(00:33):
on what is good. And I know we all are
guilty of thinking negative sometimes unfortunately because it's our human nature.
Speaker 1 (00:42):
But we can change. We don't have to focus on
the negative things, So focus on what is good.
Speaker 2 (00:52):

To remind you make sure you donate to Feeding America.
Feeding America is a great organization that provides food to
families across the nation. So if you need to find
out more about the organization, make sure you go to
their website.
Speaker 1 (02:03):
Feediamerica dot org.
Speaker 2 (02:06):
Once again, if you would like to get to Feeding America,
make sure you go to their website at Fidamerica dot org. Okay,
so today I want to talk about self doubt, overcoming
self doubt and what is self doubt?
Speaker 1 (02:27):
What is it?
Speaker 2 (02:29):
We all, unfortunately have going through different things in life,
all of us. There's not one perfect person on their earth, right,
we all have gone through different things. So sometimes when
you go through something that is difficult or traumatic, self
(02:53):
doubt is something that comes about from having a lack
of confidence in oneself, one's abilities, or it involves decisions
and questioning your own competence and worth.
Speaker 1 (03:12):
That's what self doubt is.
Speaker 2 (03:13):
Self doubt is made up of negative self talk, hesitation
to take on challenges, and constant second guessing, difficulty accepting compliments.
Speaker 1 (03:27):
I know.
Speaker 2 (03:30):
Many people all of us at some point or another
have dealt with self doubt and we can overcome it.
Speaker 1 (03:38):
We don't have to bask in negative thinking.
Speaker 2 (03:41):
We don't have to focus on the things that take
us backwards.
Speaker 1 (03:45):
We can focus.
Speaker 2 (03:47):
On everything that will help us to go forward and
be better, as simple as that.
Speaker 1 (03:56):
So self doubt is simply a lot of.
Speaker 2 (04:02):
Negative self talk, and it's a thief.
Speaker 1 (04:06):
That's right.
Speaker 2 (04:07):
I call self doubt a thief because it comes to
steal from you so that you won't.
Speaker 1 (04:13):
Think positive about yourself. It comes to.
Speaker 2 (04:16):
Steal from you so that you won't understand your own
ability and your own potential.
Speaker 1 (04:24):
You don't have to think that way.
Speaker 2 (04:28):
So that's what I'm going to talk about. Also, the
thing that is also connected to self doubt is impostures syndrome.
Imposter syndrome is a feeling that you are a fraud,
a feeling that you're going to be incompetent, and it
(04:55):
is a fear of being exposed, a lack of transparency,
anxiety about evaluation of who you are, discounting ones achievements, yes,
fear of failure. That's what imposter syndrome is. And so
(05:16):
I want to talk about that today and I want
to give out some tips on how you can deal
with all these things because fear of failure, imposter syndrome,
and self doubt, they are all connected. They operate together,
they operate together, and so you want to simply take
(05:40):
on a different mindset by developing more positive self.
Speaker 1 (05:47):
Talk about yourself.
Speaker 2 (05:49):
And you can develop that simply by practicing thoughts of
positivity Delhi.
Speaker 1 (05:59):
Now, it's not so that can happen overnight.
Speaker 2 (06:01):
But you can take one day at a time and practice.
Speaker 1 (06:09):
Self control to have more positive thoughts so.
Speaker 2 (06:13):
That you are not sitting around thinking the worst about yourself. Now,
I know that sounds easier said than done.
Speaker 1 (06:24):
But we can think more positive about ourselves.
Speaker 2 (06:29):
I have to admit there are times I have thought
negative about myself and I had to pray, and I
had to tell myself to stay focused, and I had
to decide in that.
Speaker 1 (06:42):
Moment to disagree with those negative thoughts. That's right.
Speaker 2 (06:48):
If you have a negative thought, you don't have to
agree with it. Talk to yourself and tell yourself, oh no, no, no, no,
that is not true.
Speaker 1 (06:55):
I will accomplish that goal. If something tells you.
Speaker 2 (06:58):
You will never accomplish that goal, you are less than
tell yourself, yes, I will accomplish that goal.
Speaker 1 (07:08):
And so when you talk to yourself.
Speaker 2 (07:12):
That way, you are and you will defeat that self doubt.
Speaker 1 (07:21):
So remember that.
Speaker 2 (07:26):
Self doubt is something that happens primarily from negative self talk.
And so you want to give yourself credit, give yourself grace.
Speaker 1 (07:44):
To simply do better. And you can do better by
simply thinking more positive about yourself. Yes you can. You
don't have to sit around thinking negative about yourself.
Speaker 2 (08:00):
You know when I ha had that experience and even
now sometimes if I'm thinking a certain way, I have
to tell myself stop, don't think negative. Project what's good.
That's why I always say that at the beginning of
every episode, project something good to happen, because one day
(08:21):
I was having my day, just going about my day,
and I prayed and I actually heard a voice say
to me, project something good to happen. And I felt
like that voice at that moment was God. And so
from that day forward, that is why I always say
project something good to happen, because when you project something good.
Speaker 1 (08:43):
To happen, you can manifest something that you want to experience.
Speaker 2 (08:51):
So think about all the things that are good and
focus on what is good.
Speaker 1 (08:56):
As I always say, but to go deeper into what
is self doubt.
Speaker 2 (09:03):
Self doubt is simply, like I said, it's negative thinking.
And you want to deal with your faults. You want
to accept your faults, but you want to also overcome
and become better from your faults. You don't want to
(09:24):
drown in your faults. You want to overcome your faults.
So you don't want to focus on doubting yourself and
not knowing your own ability and your own potential, but
acknowledge everything for what it is when it comes to
(09:44):
your faults.
Speaker 1 (09:45):
Be honest with yourself. And as you are.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
Honest with yourself, then you will start to experience something different.
That's right, you will experience something different about yourself. You
will experience something different about how you approach life when
you are honest with yourself. So challenge the negative self talk.
(10:20):
Don't just sit in it and accept the wrong thoughts
that come to you. Don't just sit in it and
accept it, but challenge it. Challenge the negative thoughts so
that you can replace those thoughts with something more positive.
(10:45):
Refocus on your strengths and your achievements. Make a list
of everything that you have achieved or or right now,
ten things that are positive about yourself. Focus on your
strengths to know what your abilities are.
Speaker 1 (11:05):
Focus on.
Speaker 2 (11:07):
Your potential to become better. Focus on your skills to
become more sharper. Maintain your confidence about knowing and understanding
your ability, and, as I stated, embrace your imperfections because
(11:30):
when you are honest about your imperfections, then you will
embrace all of who you are. You can't just embrace
some of who you are.
Speaker 1 (11:43):
You have to embrace all of who you are.
Speaker 2 (11:47):
And as you embrace all of who you are, as
I stated, that includes embracing your imperfections.
Speaker 1 (11:57):
But most importantly, make sure you challenge those negative thoughts.
Speaker 2 (12:02):
You have to challenge those negative thoughts every single day.
It's a battle. And I understand because it's been a
battle for me too. I'm not gonna lie.
Speaker 1 (12:16):
It's been a battle for me too.
Speaker 2 (12:18):
And in the midst of the battle, I pray, I
go to God and I ask them to help me.
Speaker 1 (12:31):
I asked him to help me to think better.
Speaker 2 (12:33):
I asked him to help me to focus on the
things that are beneficial to my wellbeing.
Speaker 1 (12:39):
I asked him to simply help me to be what
I'm supposed to be in this moment. That's right.
Speaker 2 (12:50):
We have to practice self compassion, being kind to ourselves,
not overthinking and allowing ourselves to struggle.
Speaker 1 (13:05):
If we are experiencing self doubt.
Speaker 2 (13:10):
If you are afraid to do something, go forward and
do it anyway, and you will recognize in that moment
that you are more courageous than you thought you were.
Make sure that you overcome self doubt by pursuing goals
(13:32):
and achievements that you thought you couldn't do. The only
way you will know if you can do something. The
only way you will know if you can do something,
it's just simply by doing it.
Speaker 1 (13:48):
That's right. Go forward and just do it.
Speaker 2 (13:52):
Don't talk yourself out of doing something you know you
should do. And make sure you always always celebrate the
small victories because as you celebrate the small victories, you
(14:16):
will understand something about yourself.
Speaker 1 (14:21):
Right.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
Life is about learning about ourselves and learning about how
to relate to others. That's what life is about. And
when we learn about ourselves and learn to relate to
others more, then we understand how.
Speaker 1 (14:41):
To function with wisdom and knowledge.
Speaker 2 (14:46):
So overcoming self doubt is a process of practicing more
positive self talk and less negative self talk.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
And when you recognize.
Speaker 2 (15:03):
The negative self talk, replace it with more positive self talk.
That's how you will overcome self doubt. Being confident is
not just a feeling. Being confident has everything to do
with what you think about your self. So think positive
(15:28):
about yourself. You are not conceded because you have decided
to think more positively about yourself. Don't let someone tell
you that you have the ability to do great things
when you think more positive about yourself.
Speaker 1 (15:51):
Yes, you have the ability.
Speaker 2 (15:57):
To do something great when you think more positive about yourself.
You have the ability to conquer many things when you
think more positively about yourself. Now I'm starting to get
(16:18):
a little hyped. You have to understand your power. Understand
your power, Understand you are gifted. You have great abilities.
All of us were shaped and born with gifts and abilities,
(16:41):
all of us. And when you think about your abilities,
and when you think about your gifts, your gifts are
that that the that uh are the excuse me, the
supernatural the supernatural abilities you have.
Speaker 1 (17:01):
I had to think about that for a second.
Speaker 2 (17:03):
Yes, the supernatural abilities. What are the supernatural abilities? The
supernatural abilities are those abilities that you do very well
without practicing.
Speaker 1 (17:13):
M that's what it is.
Speaker 2 (17:14):
The supernatural abilities are the abilities and the things you
do well without even practicing. Yes, so think about that
for a second. Think about that for a second. Now.
I know it sounds like I'm hollering, right, I know
(17:38):
it sounds like I'm hollering. But let me tell you something.
When I start talking like this, I feel this explosion
happening in the inside of me. And that explosion is
just it's My energy is so high, I know with
all my heart. That's God. It's a feeling I can't describe.
(18:00):
So I know it sounds like I'm hollering, but that's
that's what it is. It's such an inspirational feeling I
have in the inside. And so, like I said, understand
your gifts, understand your abilities, and when you understand how
(18:21):
gifted you are, and when you just accept how gifted
you are, you will thank you Lord. You will overcome self.
Speaker 1 (18:31):
Doubt because you can. You can.
Speaker 2 (18:35):
You don't have to settle for all those negative thoughts.
Speaker 1 (18:38):
You don't have to settle for all those thoughts.
Speaker 2 (18:43):
And in anything somebody said to you that's negative, you
don't have to settle for that. You don't have to
accept it. You can overcome self doubt. That's right, because
you have the ability to do it by overcoming every
(19:04):
negative thought you think about yourself. Maintain your confidence, keep
a positive projection about who you are. It is not
conceit when you think positive about yourself.
Speaker 1 (19:23):
It is a projection of what God sees in you.
Speaker 2 (19:28):
That's right, because when God looks at you, he doesn't
see all the crazy and negative things you do. Yes,
he knows about it, but he sees us through a
perfected eye, which is love.
Speaker 1 (19:42):
So you can overcome self doubt.
Speaker 2 (19:48):
And as I stated at the beginning of this episode,
self doubt unfortunately, sadly, it is connected to fear of
failure and is also connected to impostor syndrome. Yes, imposture syndrome,
(20:09):
fear of being exposed as fake, discounting one's achievements, perfectionism
and overachieving, anxiety about evaluation.
Speaker 1 (20:19):
Be who you are. Be who you are. Overcome self doubt.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
Focus on what it's good, replace those negative thoughts, and
make sure you do what you're supposed to do so
that you can simply love you. Don't mix conceit with confidence,
because sometimes people will tell you, oh, you're conceited because
you think a certain way about yourself. No, you are
(20:50):
supposed to think positively about yourself.
Speaker 1 (20:54):
If someone has a problem with you being.
Speaker 2 (20:59):
Confident, and if someone has a problem with you thinking
positive about yourself and speaking positive about yourself, leave them alone.
They are supposed to celebrate you because you are overcoming
self doubt. And so that's what it's all about, preparing
(21:24):
and practicing every day.
Speaker 1 (21:29):
To overcome.
Speaker 2 (21:32):
Negative thoughts, replacing them with more positive ones, and preparing
and projecting something good.
Speaker 1 (21:41):
Preparing for something good and projecting something good. That's right.
Speaker 2 (21:44):
So I have been going for a while and now
I'm back, and I hope everyone has a really, really
good week.
Speaker 1 (21:56):
I decided to take a break for many reasons. I

Speaker 1 (22:13):
Make sure you keep me in your prayers.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
And for those of you that don't pray, God bless you,
you need to start praying.
Speaker 1 (22:21):
