Welcome, Welcome, Welcome to the Seek Elevation Experience with yours truly,
Attorney Elkisha. I am so happy to see you all today.
Today we had an emergency. We have an amazing guest

(02:28):
who is still going to grace the stage. We just
pushed the date back because some things have to be
attended to, so Nick will be here on the thirtieth.
But I wanted to show up just in case you
showed up looking for Nick, and because it was an

(02:50):
extreme emergency, we didn't have time to you know, go
back and alert everyone, so I wanted to make sure
I did show up. I was going to play a
past segment, one of my one of my favorite, because
all my segments are my favorites. I was gonna pay
play one from an interview from last year. But instead

(03:13):
I decided I wanted to show up to make sure
there was no surprises, like, what's going on? What is
this pre recording? You didn't already know about it? Not
to say that if anything ever happens in the future
that that may have to be the last resort. But
while that isn't the case now, I wanted to show

(03:34):
up and show my face just to let you know
because that is very important. So welcome again to the
CE Elevation Experience. This is where real issues, real people,
real conversations takes in a stage. As I always say,
change does not happen in silence, and we talk about
those things that needs to be talked about, whether it's

(03:54):
from sports, entertainment to business and community and the things
that we talk about and we engage and we bring
to the table and we give our stories behind the journey.
We elevate, We elevate the voices that need to be heard,
and we elevate those who are listening to those voices.
But we do not just talk. Again, we empower, we inspire,

(04:14):
and we always focus on challenging the status quo. So,
with that introduction out the way, this is a prime
example of you know, pivoting life happens, especially when you
are entrepreneurs, creatives, athletes. That's one thing we learn about,

(04:40):
especially when you're an athlete, when we show up for
a competition and we get out there ready to you know, perform,
or we travel to whatever place ready to perform, and
then all of a sudden, the weather, it's not ideal,
or just something happened. You may leave something in a

(05:00):
hotel room showing up to the track and you need it, uh,
and you have to figure out, you know, can you
get it from somewhere else? If it's your spikes, to
somebody else wear the same size. You just try not
to forget your uniform because hopefully somebody is sponsored by
the same you know company, or if you are in

(05:23):
college or high school, hopefully you're able to you know,
switch up uniforms. But it happens in life and so,
and as an entrepreneur, you may plan things and then
life life's what will you do? And that is to
make it or break it, especially when it comes you know,
with entrepreneurship, we always talk about the glitz and glam

(05:46):
and the excitement of entrepreneurship. We always talk about you
can make your own schedule. You don't have to work
for anybody. You know, do all that you want. But
let's make it clear, you still are working for other people.
You listeners are my clientele, you're my family, you're my elevators,

(06:15):
but you're my clientele. So whatever industry you're in providing
a product or service, you do work for the individuals
who are seeking your product or services. So this ideal
of you don't have to work for anybody, you could
do things like you want. No, I showed up here
today to make sure I still show my face, gave

(06:38):
an explanation of why they're possibly you know why there
was this switch up, because I owe that to you,
all the viewers and those who will be listening. So
we have to get out this mindset that when we're
operating or creating something of our own, and we don't

(07:03):
necessarily have the label employer tied to it that we
can do whatever we want and how we want. I mean,
you can, you absolutely can, but you won't go far
and you won't separate yourself. You'll be a part of
the majority. If you want to operate like the minority,

(07:26):
you show up and you acknowledge who you are actually serving.
And so this is a prime example of that. And
I will stay on here for a little while for
those who may roll in to actually view, and if
you do, this is open stage. If there is any
time that I covered a topic or had a particular

(07:51):
guest on. If you want and you tuned into that
guest either viewing or listening, and you want to share
something or we want to elaborate more on that conversation,
we absolutely can. If there's any particular questions that you
may have, want to use the stage four, you can.

(08:13):
If it is a legal question, then I won't be
giving you legal advice, but we will collaborate in the dialogue.
I had a hit.

Speaker 3 (08:33):
Mean on that.

Speaker 2 (08:33):
We'll collaborate in that dialogue, but it won't be legal advice,
but we can. We can just go with whatever flow
from there. Before I actually logged on I was watching
the Cardi B trial. I didn't even know that Cardi
B was on trial again. I covered her trial outcome

(09:00):
last year. I believe it was last year with the
YouTuber that she sued for defamation and some other things.
And I covered Cardi B's trial last year and pointed
out some very important stuff, especially when it came to
defamation and us feeling we can use our platform to

(09:26):
say whatever we so choose to say, how there's boundaries
around that legally. I used that for that, And then
I also came into the follow up because when there
was a judgment made and it was found in favor
of Cardi B. I talked about how the defendant didn't

(09:47):
pay up and try to move some things around and
what that looked like in the legal system when you
have a judgment against you and you're moving things around.
But then I just here recently, I believe it was
a video or snippet someone posted with Cardi B. And
it tickled me. It made me laugh, it really did.

(10:09):
When she was testifying, and I guess they were asking
her stuff about regarding the bodyguard and for her to
describe the bodyguard and why she's sang whatever she's saying
and the things that she was doing was just hilarious.
But I didn't know that she was actually on trial
again for alleged assault. That's what I'm getting. So I

(10:34):
don't know how many of you guys are are watching that.
You know, it's a good idea to actually watch, not
for the celebrity factor of anything, but even if you
think about the young Thug trial, Cardi B's Johnny Depp,
it's good to watch a lot of trials in and
out so you can kind of see how the system work.

(10:55):
What are some just get familiar with, what are some
ways that laws are handled. Because I recall when Trayvon
Martin rest in peace, when his life was snuffed from
under him, a lot of people really didn't understand how

(11:19):
the murderer got off, and I told them, if they
really studied and watch, and this is how the legal
system work. And this all matters because it matters even
when you're not in the court system. This matters, and
contract deals, it matters everywhere. Even though you may have
a law, it's how someone actually defends it or presents it.

(11:40):
So the murderer didn't get off necessarily because he did
not commit the Act, it had to do with the
charges that were brought up and how those charges were prosecuted.
And that is the same thing in anything in life

(12:02):
when we're looking at contracts. This is what I talk
about In contrast, when we looking at contracts, it's not
the language that you necessarily put in. And I also
say this too, it's what you don't put in, but
the language that you do put in, it's how it's
actually communicated and curated. Right, So all those things matter.

(12:27):
So if you get a chance, I think they have
closing arguments though, but still get a chance, go back
and wash the CARDI b Trialt, and just pay attention
to how judges process and how prosecute, how attorneys process
the law. Both are fighting the same type of law,
but they're fighting it in different ways, which brings up

(12:48):
another point and life in general. But again, as creatives,
as athletes, one of the things you want to as entrepreneurs,
one of the things you want to do is whatever
you're doing, and whatever you're doing, always look at both sides,
look at what makes sense to you and how on

(13:11):
the other side may possibly think that will always help
us set ourself apart in whatever we do. So with
some of that stuff shared. Are there anythings, any questions
anything that you have now that you will probably have
to you will probably be it'd be very hard to
reach me to ask. Are there any type of questions

(13:32):
that you may have? Are any topics you want to
throw out? There is anyone up to sharing getting on
the stage, it's open stage, open mic. Let me go
over to hear it too. Hey, Auntie b I see you.

(13:53):
Anterrio was already on a stage. She graced our stage.
You gotta If you did not see Auntie re segment,
you have to go look at it. I'm trying to
remember what it was, from Black Sheep to Blueprint. I
believe it's somewhere within there. You need to go check
that out. For those who are signing in now, I

(14:15):
mentioned right when I signed on to the segment, there
was an emergency that came up, an extreme emergency that
came up. Nick will grace our stage. An amazing man.
I don't want to give too much about what he
does or how he does it because I want to
save it for that day. But we do have another day.
He will be on here. We already reschedule it. But

(14:39):
always when life, life's and things are. You know, there's
certain things you gotta take care of, and I hope
we understand that too. Even in what we're doing. You
see how I'm tying everything together. Even in what we're doing,
make sure we take care of life first, right, take
care of ourself first, because if we don't take care
of ourself, then thing else matter. And it also shows.

(15:03):
It also shows, It shows and how we try to
deliver or try to show up for someone, If we
don't take care of ourselves, it's going to be it's
not going to be on par And so I was
going to extremely say, take care of what you need
to take care of. We got this, but again I
wanted to show up to make sure I tell you that. Yeah,

(15:24):
thank you, thank you, I'm here, I got it. I
show up for y'all. This is what makes me different.
This is how you know, there's so many people that
talk about how they are, sell you how they are,
and there's some people that live how they are. And
that's me live. I could have done whatever, but I'm here.

(15:49):
I am here to talk to you. But not even that,
I'm here to say, okay, let's pivot, make it an
open stage. If there's something that This is also a
way to give back to my listeners, those who are
supporting the movement, not necessarily supporting me, but supporting the
movement of us elevating. This is my way to even
give back. Say hey, let me just show up and

(16:09):
just's ask them is there anything any questions that they
may have? You know, it doesn't matter in any area
that we operate in, from entrepreneurship to sports to entertainment.
Is there are there any questions that you all may have?
Is there any type? So I wanted to make sure
I least showed my face, showed up and gave you
that opportunity as well, and also hopefully be an inspiration

(16:33):
of what it means that things can happen and you
still show up at the end of the day. Yeah,
but if there are no if there are no questions,
if there are no sharings that anybody want to present

(16:53):
on the stage, let me just check something. I will
reclaim my time respectfully. Labor Day while I look for something.
Labor Day went by. I was having this conversation with

(17:13):
my mother recently, but I was also having this conversation
with a few other people young and old, and I
don't know if anybody else paid attention to this time,
it's time going by. I'm not gonna put that in
a question phrase. I'm gonna put that in a statement
phrase because I think this thought has been validated. Time

(17:37):
is going by like it's you close your eyes and
you open it and it's like three days went by.
I don't know what's off. I don't know or what's on.
I don't know what what has tipped, but time is
really moving. This is already September. This is already September,

(18:03):
and I was thinking to myself, wow, pretty soon, it's
going to be one full year, one full year that
I did the podcast segment live and I literally just
started that, and it's going to be one full year,
God willing, one full year, that's how. And then before

(18:25):
we know it, we're all going to be saying Happy
New Year. It's going to be twenty twenty six. So
I hope that we are all seizing the moments and
buckling down and really focusing on enjoying the moments and
making the most out of our moments. And each day,
for me personally, I stopped trying to look so so
so so far out right. You can write those high

(18:49):
level things down. But I really really try to focus
on season right what's right in front of me, because
before we know what everything just you know it is yeah.
So I don't know if anybody else is seeing that,
but it is. Time is flying flying by. I have
some exciting news to share with you all too. I

(19:12):
can't wait to share it with you all. We're not
allowed to right now. I was just about to when
I got this news that I cannot wait to drop.
When I got it, I was already had it in
my mind, anticipated saying, Oh, this is going to be
for content. Put this out. I was already having a

(19:35):
schedule to be shared, and then we were told, no
one say anything, we want to be the ones.

Speaker 3 (19:47):
To do it.

Speaker 2 (19:48):
I was like, oh, thank goodness you called me right
on time, because I sure was about to tell the
whole world. But I can't wait, y'all, I can't wait.
This is something. Whatever it is in your mind that
you can conceive, you have to completely conceive it, and
then in your heart you have to completely believe it.

(20:11):
And then you have to prepare and put yourself in
a position to be the condition of the condition necesssary
to receive it. You will actually see how things just
line up to happen. You don't have to know to
how you do not you don't have to know to how.
It's like. That's what's called flow. And I remember when

(20:32):
I used to compete. I used to be there's times
that I compete it and there's times I was in flow.
Flow you cross the line and you were like all
the things, all the hows it just happened. You don't
even know. You just know you cross the mind. When
you compete, you literally feel every step, every movement, everything.

(20:55):
It's the same thing with life, like in this particular
situation that happened, and I can't wait to share it
because I can't wait to share the story that went
to it, that goes with it, where you can see
that it is, it's beyond natural. It becomes supernatural. Not
to sound woo woo and all that.

Speaker 1 (21:12):
Like.

Speaker 2 (21:12):
I love giving prime examples. It was something that I
already can see. I completely believed it, and then just
all the things I'm doing, I was able to receive
it because preparation was there, but how it happened was

(21:34):
beyond me. I was just following. I was following nudges
and guidance, even to the point where I was resisting
or I don't know if resisting is the best word.
I was resisting or kind of talking myself out of
certain things, and things were happening to confirm me talking

(22:00):
myself out of things. But then I would give back
into a nudge and go with the flow, and then
it's beautiful. I can't wait. Yeah, you said you can't,
you can't. You're excited to hear. I promise you, especially you,
You're gonna be like it's it's great, it's great. I

(22:23):
can't wait to share.

Speaker 3 (22:25):
So I.

Speaker 2 (22:27):
Trust and believe all those type of things are for
those of you who are listening and watching. Whatever it
is that you soul deeply in your heart feel and
that compels you tap into that. I probably like tap
into it. And when those things come in your mind

(22:48):
to kind of resist it or talk yourself out of it,
or something tells you to put it on the table
or what. Let those thoughts come through, let them pass,
don't fight them, let them pass, but then continue to
go with the guidance, and ma'am, you'll have great things.
So that was my story I wanted to share that

(23:09):
just came out. I forgot about that that that that
just came out and when when I share it, you're
gonna say, ah, this is what this is what uh
Ala Keisha was talking about. Well, when they drop it,
depending on the timing when they drop it, I may
not reshare it yet. If they drop it before my segment,
I'll come back on and talk to you all first
about it and bring you to the drop and then

(23:30):
I'll then I'll sh then I'll share it from there.
All right, So if there are no check one more
time here, if there are no questions and there's no sharing,
I hope you appreciate me showing up and letting you

(23:52):
know what happened, and also just showing up giving you
the story, giving you some inspiration, giving you some nuggets.
Still use it the voice to elevate you. So not
it wasn't a waste of your time. Even when we
just shtruggle with each other, it's never waste of time anyway.
We'll be shown up with each other. That is time
well spent. But I will reclaim my time. I get

(24:12):
to and yesterday was a long day. Day was a
long day. So I will appreciate being able to shut
down a little earlier and get some rests for this
long week, so that will be it for me. Thank you,
thank you for tuning in. For those who are expecting Nick,

(24:36):
you will get them, but she got me. I thank
you for tuning in. Thank you so much for engaging
a red and I can't wait to share. But I
will see you all next time. We do have a guest.
We actually have guests September and October. We booked through
September and October with guests, and let's keepe our prayers

(24:57):
up that life doesn't life too hard in between as
we have those powerful, powerful guests lovely lineup for September
and October, and I will see you then and until
next time. I want you to keep elevating and if
anything comes up, pivot adapt, but always always show up

(25:22):
until next time. Peace and progress
