Speaker 1 (00:13):
Welcome inn. This is the sideline shuffle. What a day,
what a week? So much going on, sports, life, politics.

(00:36):
We're not gonna talk politics today. We're gonna skip that topic.
We're not gonna shuffle down that aisle. But we are
gonna talk some sports and talk some football. We're gonna
talk some NFL. I'm gonna give my quarterback rankings for
the first time ever. Never done quarterback rankings before. But
again last week's show, I let you guys know, me

(00:56):
and Pops we've been talking about quarterback rankings. Me his,
I sent him mine and I was like, you know what,
I'm gonna go ahead this season. I'm gonna do quarterback rankings.
I'm gonna update them in week four, eight, twelve, sixteen.
So my rankings that i'll give today these would have
been prior to week one. Okay, So if you're gonna
at me, if you're gonna, you know, comment on the show,

(01:17):
just please keep that in mind. I know you have
a different opinion. That's great. That's the beauty of sports debate.
We all have different opinions. We're gonna talk about Spitgate.
We're gonna do some Week two picks. The Major League
baseball pushes on w NBA playoffs are set, so there's
a lot of positive sports related topics I could talk

(01:39):
about today as opposed to the things that are going
on in the world. We'll save that for another show
and we'll shuffle down that aisle on a different day. Okay, overreaction,
we get the overreaction Monday, we get the overreaction Tuesday.
I don't know if it's overreaction. Let's look at some
of the games from week one real quick before we

(02:00):
get into any kind of week two talk. I think
the game that stood out the most, not because of
excellent gameplay or this was two matchups like Baltimore and
Buffalo that we were looking forward to. But the game
that really stood out to me the most, and I
was talking to my daughter's boyfriend about this last night,

(02:21):
was Indianapolis and Miami. I don't know that anybody, anybody
outside of Indianapolis would have picked that as an outcome.
And I don't know that anybody in Indianapolis would have
picked them winning thirty three to eight over Miam winning
the game. I can see people in Indiana going ahead
and saying, yeah, we're gonna win this game. Miami's garbage.

(02:41):
They're having too much turmoil. They need to just go
ahead and trade players reset. Mike mdaniel doesn't have confidence
in himself anymore. I could see all of that being said,
and I'm not gonna say I disagree with that. Mike
McDaniel does sound like he's lost some of his confidence.
I do think it's that maybe they break up that
team and just start over. That mix is not working.

(03:05):
What we saw is a great start for Miami a
few years ago fizzled out that season. So something there
has to change, whether it's players, the philosophy, the coaching,
the system. Something's got to change for Miami. Because you
went out against Daniel Jones by and large, I'm not
going to use the B word, but has not been
very good in his career while he was in New York.

(03:30):
That's why he was available for Indianapolis to pick him
as a former first round He went out Indianapolis scores
on every drive during the game. Doesn't punt every three day,
eight dropping domes like. We know he had the physical
trades right. We've seen him work out, We've seen him
make the throws, we've seen him run the ball. We

(03:51):
know we had the physical trades easily his best performance.
EASi the game that surprised me the most as a
Lion in spin. You would think I would go to
the Lions game as a game that would surprise me,
and he did somewhat. The problems, as coach Campbell said,
are correctable, but this is not a team that showed

(04:15):
up to play in Detroit. They showed up as a
team who said we were fifteen and two, we think
we're good, we know we're good, and sorry. Green Bay
came hungry. Green Bay came to prove that you were
not the top dog. Green Bay came to prove fifteen
and two don't need nothing, and they whooped Detroit up
and down the field. Right nice consolation prize at the

(04:41):
end of the game for Detroit to see Isaac Tesla
get that great catch in the end zone to make
it twenty seven to thirteen instead of twenty seven to six.
The interior offensive line wasn't there, past rush wasn't there.
Secondary is not working as a it right now in Detroit.

(05:01):
They have problems they need to correct. I said it
before the season. I did not think they're fifteen and
two team. I've got their floor at ten and seven
and they're stealing at thirteen and four. I'm not going
to change that right now. There's no need to panic,
there's no need to overreact. Green Bay's looked adding Michael
Parsons helps kway Walker had the best game I can

(05:23):
think of. Maybe not all the stats right, but he
had a great day for green Bay. I was more
worried about their offense, and I don't think the offense
did as well, even though they put up twenty seven points.
As I was worried about, I thought Jacobs was going
to be a problem. I thought Golden was going to
be a problem. For the most part, we held Jacobs
in check, or the Lions did we. I wasn't there.

(05:46):
Golden didn't really get off the way I thought he would,
either with the speed that he has so overall that
they whip us or Detroit? Yes they did. Is it
something Detroit needs to worry about long term? The fans
need to freak out about. No. Right, we'll get to
the picks here in a minute. As far as that goes, Minnesota,

(06:08):
great fourth quarter against Chicago before that, starting to question
JJ McCarthy a little bit, right, where's this offense gonna go?
They make the right decision at quarterbacks. Should they have
brought Sam Darnold back? And JJ found it in the
fourth quarter, It started clicking. The confidence got there. What
we saw out of him at Michigan, that bravado started

(06:29):
to show up and started to make a little bit
better throws, settling into things a little better. You get
the rushing touchdown, which really gave him a little bit
of o. Philly's, like Detroit, got a lot to figure out.
Philly is not a super Bowl contender right now. That
secondary is not going to get them back to the

(06:50):
super Bowl with the way they're playing. I know Dallas
is a better team than some people thought, but man,
that secondary did not play good. Missing the pass rushers,
missing be Dean that aren't on the team, the sweats
and things like that that aren't playing and aren't on
the team this year. Dalen Carter's incident, which we'll talk
about that here in a minute did not help Philadelphia either.

(07:15):
They weren't able to get their two ride receivers really
involved in that game. So Philly's got a lot to
figure out. Again. It's all all of this, All of
this goes back to my opinion to you need to
play football, to get ready to play football. We hear
it all the time. Regular season speeds different than preseason speed,

(07:36):
playoff speeds different than regular season speed. The super Bowl
amps up even further. If that's true, everything ramps up.
There's more speed at each level, at each as it
gets more important. Then you can't keep your starters out
all of preseason. They need a series, they need a quarter,

(07:57):
They need to do more than dress and them up
because the practice. If all of those things ramp up,
practice is not the same. Joint practices are not the
same as preseason reps, but it's not the same as
regular season playoffs. Blah blah blah. Right, you can't have
both things be the sacon. It can't just be about

(08:19):
saving your investment and hoping that it lasts through the
seventeen game season. Washington came out looked pretty good against
the Giants. The Giants past rush looked really good early.
Buffalo Baltimore easily the best game of the weekend. Not
to be surprised there. Baltimore looked great up forty to

(08:41):
twenty five, and Josh Allen said, old beer Cincinnati, they
always start slow. Look at Joe Burrow's tenure. They start
slow and then they make the playoffs. They're one in four,
one in five, something like that. It seems like every
year and then they make the playoffs. So not too concerned.
John Cincinnati. Aaron Rodgers gets his you know fe moment

(09:06):
against the Jets. Denver loses the turnover but beats a
Tennessee team with a rookie quarterback. What the Chargers beat
Kansas City. I'm not too surprised there, I thought I had.
I mean, I'm at work this week or last week.

(09:28):
My boss asked me, you know who you got in
the game. I'm like, I think the Chargers get this one.
I come home. Look who I picked? Who I told
you guys I was picking. I actually picked Kansas City.
So as far as my boss knows, and I don't
think he's gonna listen to this episode, but sometimes he
tunes in. Chose the Chargers, But I mean, I actually

(09:49):
picked Kansas City. Kansas City's got problems. James Worthy gets hurt,
Travis Kaley had catches. But they're gonna have to figure
it out, right. Checko running like an angry toddler is
not going to get them back to where they want
to be I do think they can utilize Scaream Hunt
a little bit more and rely on the running game

(10:09):
a little bit more, even with Pacheco running like a toddler,
because he runs like the ass toddler, like he's punishing
the ground. Until they can figure out really where everybody
fits in the passing game, and Rice will come back right.
Worthy might be back here in a few weeks. I
think the dislocated Shildren, they got him somewhere between four

(10:29):
and six weeks. Maybe he'll be out. Then gets over
New England. That was a solid game. Gentry gets his
first NFL touchdown. I did think Houston would show up
a little better, Honestly, I thought Houston would be a
little better against the Rams than they were. They gave
up a lot of big plays, which was surprising, and
La was able to pull that one out. So I

(10:51):
don't know. Overreaction Week one, Daniel Jones is a Pro
Bowl level quarterback. Daniel Jones is the best quarterback in
the NFL currently with the third I think highest rated
offense in the league. Is that where we're going with
an overreaction, we you know, fire the offensive coordinator Detroit
because they went from thirty three points a game to

(11:14):
the thirteen. This week, it's Week one. They don't play
preseason anymore. Sepmber football at this point in the NFL
is always garbage. It's a problem they need to fix,
in my opinion, and it won't be I mean, we're
going to continue to see this type of September where
the teams that have continuity, the teams that have most

(11:34):
of the people back, the teams that have their coaches back,
are going to start a little bit better because there's
not that much change over, right. They're not trying to
incorporate a whole bunch of new guys. There's no new
play callers, right, So those teams should do better in
September than the teams that have more of that. Let's
start really reacting or overreacting come October. The sky can

(11:56):
fall then, Okay, let's get through September before we get
that far other NFL news that we got out there
right now, right, we got spit eight Jalen Carter. I'm
just gonna let's start with this. Jalen Carter was wrong.
You don't spit on another person. That's very disrespectful. It

(12:16):
goes overboard. Let's start the conversation there, Let's continue the
conversation with the fact that Dak Prescott spit first. Did
he spit towards the ground? Yes? Was he hiding behind
two offensive linemen when he did it? Yes? Did he
look directly up into Jalen Carter's eyes and grin after

(12:40):
he did it with a little nod? Yes? And when
the tensions are heated, right, if you've played football, if
you've been in athletics, it's a rival game. Tensions are hot,
two teams are coming together. Why something else is happening
on the field? Right? That player was hurt, so the
talking smack, and then the quarterback gets I'll cute with it,

(13:00):
spits at the ground, looks up and smiles at you
in the face. Well, now you're face to face. You
spit at me, I'm gonna spit at you. Right, wrong
or indifferent? He gets caught, He gets kicked out of
the game before playing a snap. We now know his
punishment will be the fact he got kicked out of

(13:21):
that game and a game bank, which apparently he makes
about fifty eight thousand, or just under fifty eight thousand
dollars a game. Dak Prescott, nothing fine, you want to
act and not recognize that that escalated that moment and
that had just been talking. Jalen Carter more than likely

(13:42):
doesn't spit due to his after the game locker room
comments of I'm not gonna say anything, We'll wait till
it all comes out. What else had to come out
except Dak spit first. There was nothing else that needed
to come out. But Jalen Carter is the defensive guy.
Dak Prescott's the poster boy for the Dallas Cowboys. Who's

(14:03):
gonna get the ridicule in that situation, the guy who
actually spit on somebody, right, because that's the more wrong piece.
But without the first act, the second act more than
likely never happens. And I'm not gonna go around and
not recognize that as somebody who grew up in athletics,
as somebody who played football knowing how things can escalate

(14:27):
easily in those situations. So though I don't let Dak
Prescott off because he spit towards the ground, he knew
exactly what he was doing in that moment. That was
not like one of the other times that he spits
during the game, of be saying I spit like twenty
times during the game on the field wasn't the same thing,

(14:49):
because when you're back in the huddle and you're spitting
during a game, he then don't grin and look at
the defensive guy who's about five feet away from you.
That doesn't happen, right. So I'm going to recognize the
full incident and that Jalen Carter was wrong and should
not have done what he did. Go blow up that

(15:11):
first place, sack him, cause a fumble, turn the ball over,
and then say spit towards me again. That's how you
handle that. If you're Jalen Carter, you don't leave your
team out there without you in that game, Game one
against the Cowboys, your rival, defending Super Bowl champions, and

(15:32):
then walk off the field with the arrogance you had,
thinking that you're justified based on what Dak had done.
Other positive NFL news, at least to me, I think
the Broncos are funding a new stadium. They're not asking
the taxpayers for money. I think that's pretty cool. I mean,

(15:54):
this idea of PSL's personal seat licenses has been thrown
out there. I think I need to have thirty two
teams are read have had some kind of PSL as
part of their system, is part of the way to
build new stadiums. The Buffalow Bills are currently doing it
for their new state And I think the sly thing
about it from a business view is that this is

(16:18):
revenue you don't have to share with the other clubs. Right,
thirty something percent of your ticket sales goes into a
BOT that's shared amongst all teams. Well, this isn't ticket revenue.
This is separate from that. So all of the revenue
that comes from this can be used by the Broncos
to build the stadium, to build the surrounding infrastructure of

(16:39):
the new stadium, whatever it is, without increasing taxes. And
what a personal seat license is. It doesn't mean you
have season tickets, right. A personal seat license is nothing
more than I've bought my place in line to be
able to buy season tickets. And if I've paid this much,
I have the ability to buy out of this pool

(17:01):
of steven tickets. Right. If I spend twenty five hundred
dollars per seat on my seat license, I might be third,
you know, third bowl. I'm up at the top of
the stadium. But maybe if I pay fifty thousand dollars
a seat I'm a fifty yard line row four row
one something like that, right, So it's a seat license.

(17:24):
It guarantees you the ability to buy season tickets and
then the team doesn't have to share that revenue. Now,
the Broncos have identified a place here in Denver. I
think it's a Burnham yard, old train yard that dates
back I think one hundred years in Colorado. We're going
to reuse some of the buildings on site. Still have

(17:46):
some obstacles to overcome and some community meetings to have
with the plan being the stadium is built by twenty
thirty one, where they're current lease at Mile High Stadium
is up. This new site is less than a mile
from the current stadium, which I like. It's revitalizing a
part of the city in my opinion, that needs I

(18:07):
support one of the elementary schools, actually several of the
schools in that area. It would help that area quite
a bit. And there's other aspects that would have to
change about the area that the community will have to
discuss and the Broncos will have to figure out what
the state and the city on how that's going to
work out. So I like the idea where billionaires step

(18:31):
up and say, let me build my own stadium, especially
when it's the Walter Penner group. Had they gone to
the taxpayers for money, or you know, held the team
hostage in some way, that would have been a major
problem for me, problem for Denver, problem for Broncos fans.
I grew up in the Denver area. I'm a Lions fan.

(18:52):
I'm a champion for more Lions. I have since nineteen
ninety ninety two, somewhere in there. At ninety two, I
was ten years old and met Barry Sanders at a
football camp, got to hang out with him, got to learn,
got to be coached by him, came home, changed my affiliation,

(19:14):
and I'm a Lions fan through and through to this day.
But growing up in Denver Country, I'm glad that Bronco Country,
I'm glad that this is the way this is playing
out for the fans here. Okay, before we get into
quarterback rankings, let me go ahead and give my picks again.
I'll give my PSA. I do not gampbell. I do

(19:36):
not recommend that you use my picks to gamble. If
you do gamble, good for you. If you've got a problem,
please get help. But Week two, this is how I
see the games being broken down. I'm not basing it
on statistics. I'm basing this on the eye test. I'm
not running Vegas numbers. I'm not doing any of that.
This is my personal eye test and that I think
these teams bring it to the table in week two. Okay,

(20:02):
I will take Arizona to beat Carolina. This week. Arizona
had a nice showing against New Orleans. Carolina trumble. In
my opinion, they didn't show up against the Jacksonville team.
Travis Hunter wasn't all world in the first game. Played
mostly on the offensive side of the ball a couple
of catches, he had less than ten snaps on the

(20:23):
defensive side. Carolina couldn't get it going. They did not
build on that little little bit of momentum they had
at the end of last season. I'll take the Rams
after they're showing against Houston to beat Tennessee this week.
I think San Francisco, even with the news that Brockberdy's
going to be out, beats New Orleans this week. I
just don't have any faith in Spencer Rattler or that

(20:46):
team right now. I will take Detroit to beat Chicago.
I think they're just gonna come amped and have everything
that they have in this game because of Ben Johnson.
I think Ben Johnson and the Chicago Bears are'll be
wanting to do the same thing for him because it's
de trait. So that should be a good game this Sunday.

(21:07):
I'll take Minnesota to beat Atlanta. I think Dallas will
beat the Giants this week. Pass rush is nice and Giants,
but the offense is not there right now. They're not clicking.
They just seemed a little off. Now. Maybe they can
get things turned around this week figure out some plays,
but I just don't see it right now. For the

(21:29):
demon like nice pass rush, that's great. Dallas has got
a ton of weapons and the defense. You know, they're
not bottom third of the league, but they're not gonna
set the world on fire right now either. So I
will take Dallas to edge out the Giants, especially at home.
I think Washington gets green Bay Thursday night. I think

(21:51):
they're young, fast, hungry, aggressive. Green Bay playing really well
in Game one. I think they are one of the
top tier teams in the NFC. But I'll take Washington
to beat the Baltimore beat Cleveland, even though Cleveland had
given them trouble the last few years. Cleveland played defense
played really well against Cincinnati. But I'll take Baltimore at

(22:13):
their home opener to beat Cleveland. I think Cincinnati gets
past Jacksonville. I'll take Pittsburgh to beat Seattle this week.
I think Buffalo goes into New York and beats the Jets. Although, hey,
Aaron Glenn kudos that same thing. We play much better
than they did at any point last year. Dustin Field's

(22:36):
played well. I feel like Breecee Hall played well, so
I like the direction the Jets are spending. I like
the aggressiveness their defense started the game with struggled in
the middle of the game and then kind of found
again towards the end of the game. I'll take New
England to beat Miami because right now I do think
Miami is somewhat of a dumpster fire. I'll take Denver

(22:59):
to beat indian because I don't think Daniel Jones can
do that week after week. I don't think Indianapolis can
do that week after week. I don't think they're a
top team in the NFL. They may prove me wrong,
but I I'm not there. I think Kansas City beats
Philadelphia this week again because of the secondary issues. Even

(23:19):
with Jalen Carter being able to play this week, I
just think Kansas City gets that game. Maybe Philadelphia gets
their two receivers going. Jalen Carter wrecks some stuff, but
that pass rush is not the same that helped them
dominate Kansas City really in the Super Bowl. So I'll
take Kansas City to get the revenge in Kansas City
over Philadelphia in this game. I think the Chargers will

(23:41):
beat the Raiders in Las Vegas. And I'm taking Houston
again this week to be Tampa Bay. I feel like
that's the game that might get me Houston very well,
might start the season. Oh and two, all right, quarterback rankings,
let's just do those real quick again. This is how
I saw it prior to any games being played. I'm

(24:05):
taking aged experience, athleticism, pocket presence, arm talent, elusiveness, all
of that into consideration, and some guys face, it's still
a lot to prove if you haven't been in the
league very long. I'm not putting in near the toime,
no matter how much hype is around you. This is
my list, all right, So let's start at the bottom.

(24:27):
I'm gonna go thirty two, Spencer Rattler, then cam Ward
Daniel Jones, Michael Pennix, Junior, Bryce Young, Drake May, Justin Fields,
ay Day McCarthy, Caleb Williams, Trevor Lawrence. Two of them.

(24:47):
That's the bottom eleven, three, bottom twelve, Kyler Murty. That's
the bottom of twelve out of thirty two starting quarterbacks. Okay,
now we're gonna do ten and ten. We've got Joe Flacto,
then Sam Darnold, Russell Wilson, oh Nicks, Dak Prescott, Jordan Love,

(25:15):
Rock Party, Aaron Rodgers, Gino Smith, and Justin Herbert. Okay,
the next ten are my top ten quarterbacks in the

(25:37):
NFL preseason quarterbacks as far as the way I saw
it again. I will update this in week four, Week eight,
week twelve, week sixteen. I'm not doing a playoff ranking.
You can replay this and see where I've ranked each
NFC in each AFC quarterback if you want so. At

(25:59):
number I have Matthew Stafford even with the back issues.
He is getting a little older. The back issues for
me or why he's at ten, otherwise I would have
him a little higher. I just don't know that he's
gonna have that typical Matthew Stafford season, but he's always
been one of my favorites years in part I got
to see how good he was, how tough he was,

(26:22):
and I think he was underrated most of his career
because he was on bad deeds. At nine, I have
Jayden Daniels eight, c J. Stroud seven, Jalen Hurts six.
I have another underrated quarterback in Baker Mayfield. In my opinion,
this guy just comes to play. He might not have
the physicals that everybody wants, the measurements that everybody wants,

(26:48):
but you let this guy lead, give him a couple
of pieces, and he just continues to play and do
things you don't expect. So as far as a quarterback,
I got him. At six, I have Jared Goff at
that's my highest ranked NFC quarterback. I can't discredit what
he did and Johnson might be gone, but what Jared

(27:09):
Goff did last year, I have him as a top
five quarterback. At four, Josh Allen, Yes, the MVP. I
have it for right now. We'll see after again Week
four where Josh Allen ranks. When I have Lamar Jackson
at three, Patrick Mahomes at two, and I have Joe
Burrow as the best quarterback in the NFL. His pocket presence, athleticism, elusiveness,

(27:36):
his arm talent. To me, right now, you put him
on whatever you consider the best team, not your favorite team,
whatever you truly consider it to be the best team
in the NFL talent wise. And he's able to do
a lot with that group. Okay, he does a lot
with the Cincinnati Bengals. He does a lot when they

(27:56):
don't have good defenses. He makes that team go, he
makes players better. No, I don't know after week four
if he'll be my top guy. If I would have
made this list after this weekend's game, I'd probably have
Josh Allen in that top spot right now. Ah, many

(28:18):
of you might be like, what the hell you're crazy.
I know other people that have seen this list have
told me basically, I have guys ranked too high, and
maybe I do, but this is my list. Go make
your list. Let's debate it again. That's the beauty of
sports discussions. We can talk about this, we can have
these debates, we can have different opinions, and really, ultimately

(28:38):
it comes down to nothing. Right, our opinions mean nothing.
It does not impact the win loss, it does not
impact how they go out and play these games. So
that's my ranking. I'll break it down a little different
come Week four, but again, my top ten one to
ten Joe Burrow, Patrick Mahomes, Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen, Jared

(28:59):
go Five, Baker Mayfield, Jalen Hurts, c J Stroud, Jade Daniels,
and Matthew Stafford is my top ten quarterbacks in the NFL.
I could make an argument for Justin Herbert. I could
see if somebody wants to put Jordan Love in there,
based on, you know, his practice tape and some of

(29:22):
the things that he does here and there. I could
see an argument for Dak Prescott. That's outside of that.
I'm not taking an argument on anybody else that's a
starting quarterback in the NFL possibly being a top ten guy.
Gino Smith is right outside Aaron Rodgers is not the
guy anymore. Brock Perty's not a top ten quarterback. Okay

(29:42):
bo Nicks is not a top ten quarterback. Sam Darnold,
even with the year he had last year, is not
a top ten quarterback in the NFL. Caleb Williams is
not a top ten quarterback in the NFL. I don't
want to hear it at me. It's not going to
be held over Well. With that, we're gonna shuffle real

(30:02):
quick over to the Major League Baseball. I'm kind of sad,
but the Rockies may not make history this year. Though
they may not make history, I know, I know, I
know they If they win two of their final seventeen games,
they will finish one game better than the White Sox

(30:24):
did last year. They will have forty two wins on
the year, and more than likely with how they've played
over the last month, they're gonna win those two games.
If they go open seventeen the rest of the year,
they make history. They own the record by themselves. If
they win only one more game, they tie the record.

(30:44):
But I do think they probably get the two wins.
They'll have the second worst record in the one hundred
and sixty two game schedule. What it is, what it
is the teams that are really coming to the top.
We all know who they are. They young favorites, we
know who they are. Right on the National League side,

(31:05):
you have the Pittsburgh Pirates fall schemes. On the American
League side, you have the Detroit Tigers to Rescoople. They're
the favorites to get the Cy Young's this year. I
think they both won him last year. If I'm not mistaken,
Aaron Judge is gonna get the batting average title more
than likely, unless something collapses at the end of the year.

(31:29):
Carl Or cal Rally is probably gonna have the Mariners
single season record, right, understandable. That's fine. Schwarber might catch him, right,
he hit fifty, but Toni's not catching him. Aaron Judge
isn't going to catch him. Saves probably as the best

(31:54):
keeps that RBI's. It looks like Schwarber is gonna take
that as well. But bat should hold on for sorry,
don't know what that was, Boba sheet should hold on
for the hits for the American League. Maybe not for

(32:16):
all of baseball, but for the American League. He probably
gets that, oh, I have some stupid ad that popped up.
I apologize for that. I'm a bad at it. That's
where we're at. Rally again. Cal probably gets that he's
probably gonna be the MVP on the American League side,

(32:37):
especially if Seattle is able to get into the playoffs
uh and make any kind of a splash. I think
he gets that. On the American league side, National League,
I don't know. I don't. I honestly don't know. Early
in the year, when o'donny gets back to back early
in the year, I would have said, Aaron Judge gets
back to back, maybe it's swore because of the home
run lead. There's not really a guy to me, and

(33:00):
National stands out as MVP. So we'll see how that
turns out. It's still in basis I'm not going to
talk about it. So anybody can bring stolen bases back
into the game the way Ricky Anderson used to do.
It's a whatever stat. It's barely a part of baseball anymore.

(33:22):
As far as the playoff tracker goes, I mean, we're
down to the wire. Somebody's playoff races are really heating up.
You've got since an Attic creeps back into the race.
On the National League side, I think there are three
games out of the final National League wildcard spot right now.
The wildcard raft the National League is the Mets, Dodgers, Padres,

(33:43):
and Cubs. In an American league, if it started today,
it'd be the Marinos, Astros, Red Sox, and Yankees. So
we'll see. I mean, as these playoff races come to
an end, like the w NBAS did. We now know
all eight teams that are gonna be in the play
us for the WNBAH, it will get exciting. We can

(34:05):
start looking at the matchups. Is it gonna be Toronto
in the World Series? Is Detroit gonna make a run? Right?
Are the Dodgers gonna make a run? Could be one
of these teams We're not expecting Houston and Seattle. Just
Boston or the Yankees somehow figure it out. We'll have
to see. Right, do the Phillies make it? Are the
Brewers who have just been bawling out over the last month,

(34:25):
do they get in? Do the Cobs or Dodgers, Like
I said, San Diego, the Mets or San Francisco makes
some kind of a splash We're not expecting. I doubt it.
I do. I think the Phillies, Brewers or Dodgers probably
come out of the American League. I think more than
likely it's gonna be the Blue Jays, Tigers, maybe another

(34:48):
American League East team that comes out of the American League.
I mean, Houston always gives people trouble in the playoffs.
But we'll see. It's the beauty of the game, and
the playoffs are the best for baseball. We got the
playoffs are set, Like I said, for the WNBA, we
know the eighteens that are in. We know that the
Aces are on this fifteen game win streak. Minnesota will

(35:12):
be the top seed. What's crazy. Vegas has a fifteen
game win streak and they're twenty nine and fourteen, so
at one point they were fourteen and fourteen, recently fourteen
and fourteen to twenty nine and fourteen. Quite the run.
Minnesota again will be the first seed. Atlanta three, Phoenix four.

(35:37):
I mean, you might get a little bit of movement there,
but I doubt it. Liberty depending champions Stewie's back. They're
looking good here and there, five and five over their
last ten, twenty six and seventeen on the year. Right now,
they're at the fifth seed Indiana minus Caitlin Clark. It's
the sixteed currently. You might see the Valkyries who made

(35:58):
the playoffs switch that up, but again, there's only a
couple games left I think in the regular season, like
two or three something like that, and then in the
Seattle Storm, we know they clinched a spot. What just
last night. So those are the eight teams in the
WNBA playoffs. Again, if you haven't gotten on to the WNBA,

(36:20):
if you've not gotten on to what these women are doing,
please tune into the playoffs. Get some flavor, get some
taste of what they're doing out there on the court.
It's impressive. It may not be the beginning of the NFL.
It might not be college football, which you didn't even
talk about. It might not be finally the Major League
Baseball season matters. It might not be your anger over
my quarterback rankings filling you with passion. But check out

(36:43):
the ladies in the WNBA playoffs. Go see what Asia
Wilson has to do. Go see what I and S
is doing, Go see what Stewie's got going on. Like,
check these women out and give them some respect and
we will shuffle back. Next time is as des as Desert.
