And today, youdy. I don't know why. I just love
to say that, and sometimes I don't even know what
comes afterwards. I just like saying it.
Speaker 2 (00:43):
She wakes up in the morning and today like it's Tuesday,
we have to go to work.
Speaker 1 (00:48):
Well, if that's what's going to happen today, then that's
what's going to happen.
Speaker 2 (00:53):
First and foremost, we want to give a heartfelt thank
you bank thank you to those of you who helped
us almost achieve our goal of raising funds for the
Shogun's Foundation.
Speaker 1 (01:09):
Almost, but guess what what, We're still number one.
Speaker 2 (01:14):
Team Chogren Strong is number one.
Speaker 1 (01:17):
Can I get a big whoop woop?
Speaker 2 (01:19):
But uh, for those of you who couldn't, we understand
it's been a crazy going on two years of just craziness.
I mean, there's no better way to to say it. Crazy.
Speaker 1 (01:34):
So guys, thank you so much for the loved support,
the messages, the likes, the shares. It helped us. So
we're very thankful.
Speaker 2 (01:45):
It really did. And we're gonna we're gonna read a
list of names and these are the people who did
donate to Team Shogrin Strong, helping the Schogrin's Foundation work
closer to their goal of twenty thousand dollars for this
Caliphni Virtual Walk.
Speaker 1 (02:01):
We came pretty close. I think it was like fifteeny
nine twenty.
Speaker 2 (02:07):
For the overall goal. Yes, yes, oh, I mean well yeah,
our team goal was two k and we almost made
half of it.
Speaker 1 (02:15):
That's pretty good almost.
Speaker 2 (02:17):
But Lori and Daniel.
Speaker 1 (02:20):
Thank you, Carlada s thank.
Speaker 2 (02:23):
You, John, thank you, Thank you John. Jessica You're awesome,
totally awesome.
Speaker 1 (02:32):
Elizabeth, Thank you, Elizabeth, Joanne, joanneyah my girl, thank you
so much. Joanna and I we we talk constantly on Instagram,
So thank you. I really appreciate it. We really appreciate it, yes,
we do.
Speaker 2 (02:48):
And Megan, thank you.
Speaker 1 (02:50):
Megan.
Speaker 2 (02:51):
Thank you, everybody, thank you everybody for helping us here.
We did raise eight hundred and eighty dollars as a team,
which was pretty awesome and show and strong the podcast
and Sitch Radio, our studio sponsored the event as well.
So if you look at any of the material, scroll
down to that bottom and you'll see our logos and
(03:12):
we are happy to have done that. And those funds
don't hit the goal. It's sponsoring is separate than the fundraising,
so but we were grateful to be in a place
where we could and b we know it's going to
a great organization. You guys, hear say it over and
(03:32):
over again, and I can't say enough good things about
the Foundation.
Speaker 1 (03:37):
But it was really hot the day of the walk,
but we did it. It was back Bay.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
We did Back Bay.
Speaker 1 (03:46):
Oh, we walked about three miles about that.
Speaker 2 (03:49):
We didn't do the entire loop.
Speaker 1 (03:51):
No, because guys, it was really really hot. But you
know what the cool thing was, It was the same
day that the air show and Honey to Beach was
so we saw jets flying overhead because they turned around
at Back Bay.
Speaker 2 (04:04):
Yep, they turned around right before Back Bay, so we
got to see a little bit of that. And this
was the Saturday, because Sunday the air show was canceled
due to an offshore oil spill. And if you're listening
to this, I'm sure you've seen it on the news.
It made national news. We are trying to destroy our
beautiful beaches yet again. But no, it was really cool
(04:25):
to see some of the aircraft and kind of have
that excitement. And we did take a few picks. I'm
sure you've.
Speaker 1 (04:30):
Posted some, yeah, some some, and the Foundation used one
of ours on their.
Speaker 2 (04:37):
On the on the newsletter thing, yeah, which was kind
of cool. So that was totally totally cool, very very cool.
Speaker 1 (04:43):
So that's and that's why we decided not to walk
at the beach this year, because we knew the air
show was going to be going on and it was
gonna be crazy busy.
Speaker 2 (04:52):
So but it turned out okay, yep, So we want
to issue a challenge next year. Team Shogrin Strong is
gonna be back at it. So maybe the change off
any transaction that you do with cash, put that in
a jar, on that jar, put the Shogrin Strong logo
(05:12):
on it, and just remember that's for not Shogrin Strong,
but the Shogun's Foundation in support of Shogun Strong. Raising
money again next year, We're going.
Speaker 1 (05:21):
To rock next year because every year we keep inching
and inching and inching up. Thanks to all of you,
So once again, thank you so much.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
Yeah, definitely, definitely. So we were out and about this weekend, Yes,
we were, and we found a new product.
Speaker 1 (05:37):
So this weekend was it Saturday or Sunday? I don't
remember the days, you know, kind of.
Speaker 2 (05:44):
Mesh together.
Speaker 1 (05:45):
Yeah, So we were out and about and you know, I've
been saying that I feel that I've felt really good lately,
but Saturday on Sunday, I was achy a little bit,
especially my neck and my shoulder area. So I took
my my pills that I always take, you know, my placoral,
(06:08):
my dolal Bit doil. Dolo Bit is supposed to help
with inflammation and pain, which it usually does, but for
whatever reason, it just wasn't working for me. And we
were out shopping for something, I don't know why. We
were at Walmart or Target, and on the end cap
I saw Because I love a leave when i'm when
I don't take my Shoulgrin's pills, my dolo bit for pain,
(06:33):
I like taking a leave because it gives me instant
relief for several hours, and because I love it and
so I came across this product. It's called a leave
X pain relieving lotion, and it has little it has
three massaging stainless steel it's a roll on.
Speaker 2 (06:55):
Yeah, it's three roller balls on the top, and there's
also an aerosol spray can. We chose to try the
rollers first, and it was pretty cool.
Speaker 1 (07:07):
I mean the pain went away, guys. It took like
a couple of minutes, less than five minutes, and the pain,
it's like, just disappeared. And I wanted to roll on
because sometimes you know, ointments or lotions, they're kind of
sticky and I really don't like getting them on my hands,
so I always ask Brian, oh, can you can you
help me out here? But this time, you know, I
can kind of do it myself. I don't get it
(07:28):
all over my hands and it's it's misologying obviously because
of the little rollerballs. But it went on easy, smooth, clear,
and after a couple of minutes, it kind of it's
kind of I like saying cooly hot because it cools
and you know, it's a little bit hot, and it
(07:50):
was instant. Guys. If you guys haven't tried this, because
I've never seen it before you know. I'm your Huckaberry
all the time, So I'll try anything. I'll let you
guys know, and I love it, so.
Speaker 2 (08:02):
A the guinea pig. Yeah, so the boxer reads temporarily
relieves minor aches and pains. Fast cooling sensation won't wear
off quickly. The funniest thing about it is we come
out of the store and she goes, will you try
that for me? And I said sure because my shoulder hurt.
So I literally opened up the box and I kind
of pulled my shirt to the side and I'm putting
(08:24):
it on my shoulder. And I turned around and She's
like got her shirt pinned back, thinking I was going
to put it on her back, and I'm like, what
do you do it?
Speaker 1 (08:32):
No, I didn't say try it for me. I said
put it. Okay, guys, I always say put it instead
of saying the right word. You know. I shore in everything,
and I said, can you put it? But I didn't
mean put it on him? I meant me.
Speaker 2 (08:47):
So I applied it to myself first, and by the
time I got done applying it to her, I actually
felt a little relief from my shoulder pain.
Speaker 1 (08:55):
You always have to use everything before I do, even
if even though I buy it.
Speaker 2 (08:58):
For my pic shirt, safe for you whatever, I love
you like that.
Speaker 1 (09:04):
Well, I appreciate it because you don't getting pig new worries.
Speaker 2 (09:08):
So this next topic some might feel a bit controversial,
but and I've never really talked about this publicly before.
I have several things wrong with my body.
Speaker 1 (09:22):
You've talked about that before.
Speaker 2 (09:24):
And in pin shoulder, a couple of hernia repairs, just
the abuses of being in the Marine Corps. It's a
lot on the body. I also suffer from chronic headaches.
And I wanted to try medicinally an edible from the
marijuana store.
Speaker 1 (09:47):
And I've been wanting to try it too.
Speaker 2 (09:50):
So we went to a local store and found a
few things and night one we actually split a little
ten milligram edible and I really felt nothing. I did
get a little relaxed, but it did help me sleep
quite a bit.
Speaker 1 (10:14):
I thought I didn't feel anything until I had to
stand up because I was doing laundry right Sundays are
my laundry day, and I was doing laundry and I'm like, man,
I don't know if I want to try because I
don't know what effect it is. Going to have on me.
(10:37):
But the gummy was a little big, I thought, and
I thought, oh my god, we should have split this
in fource. But anyways, I took a half and I
was fine, right, It's like, how you feeling good? But
then I got off. I felt like I was like
whooa on cloud nine. I was like, oh my god,
forget the laundry, I gotta sit down. But so I
(11:02):
felt something up here in my head, a little something.
I guess I was high. I guess I don't know.
Speaker 2 (11:08):
But it wasn't like you couldn't function.
Speaker 1 (11:11):
No, I was totally functional. But guys, what I wanted
to tell you guys was that, you know, I only
sleep between four and four and a half hours a night.
It doesn't matter what time I fall asleep. I always
opened my eyes at four thirty and for the most part,
I'm awake from four thirty on. And I gotta say
that I slept through the night. I didn't wake up,
(11:36):
and I woke up feeling pretty good, pretty breasted, pretty relaxed,
you know about I don't know. Ten minutes after I
had the edible, I just totally felt relaxed. But most importantly,
I slept through the night and last night I okay,
so Sunday night and then Monday night again I slept
(11:59):
through the night, and I don't know if it was
still on my system obviously, but I've been sleeping pretty good,
so I'm I'm in.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
Yeah. And one very surprising thing. In addition to edibles,
the Star's got every imaginable thing there is, but we
found a THCHC cbd lotion and the THHG is thchc A,
so it doesn't have the euphoric effects that marijuana has.
(12:33):
So we sampled some of that, and in my opinion,
I think it worked a little faster, a little stronger,
a little longer than just the CBD ointment we've been
using and we've talked about on the show quite a bit.
And again there's no high whatsoever with it. But it's
(12:53):
you know, it's interesting. I was a kid during the
Reagan era when you know, Nancy was just say no,
and was it Nancy's just say no? And the whole
Dare movement and all of that, And not that I'm
saying that they were wrong, but you know, a lot
of research has gone on between then and now, and medicinally,
(13:15):
I don't have an issue with it. I don't think
it's anything i'd ever do recreationally. However, if it can
relieve the pain of a headache and allow me to function,
if it can relieve my shoulder pain and allow me
to get comfortable and sleep through the night, and relax
me to help me sleep through the night, I don't
have an issue with it. I'm sure some of you may,
(13:36):
and that's fine. We're all entitled to you know, our opinions.
But and by no means are we encouraging anyone to
go out and try this. Talk to your doc, see
what they say. I mean, medicines and THC can have
effects on each other. There are some contra indications. It
is something you should go into well informed. You'll take
(13:58):
our word for it.
Speaker 1 (13:59):
You dog's gonna say. The dog's gonna say, nope, you
need this that I'm prescribing to you. But I don't know.
I'm just talking.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
It's funny. My neurologists asked, and I was honest with him.
And on the prescription label it says that use with
marijuana may enhance the effects.
Speaker 1 (14:19):
So is that a good effect or bad effect?
Speaker 2 (14:22):
I'm sure it's not good. I mean, I have no idea. However,
I don't take you know, a lot of people don't
realize that medicines and anti acids can have adverse effects.
And I mean medicines. It's a chemical you're putting into
your body, just like anything else, and they can have
adverse effects with other medicines that you take. They're called contraindications.
(14:44):
We've talked about them on the show before. So mixing
anything too close together would be bad. Talk to your doc,
you know, dive into that pdr. Read the information about
the drugs before you mix or take anything too close
to something else. And when I say too close, if
(15:05):
you take a pill, you're supposed to wait thirty minutes
for an ant acid. If you take an ant acid,
you are supposed to wait an hour before you take
a pill. Those were the rules we were taught and
lived by, you know, in various jobs that I've had.
So I'm really aware of that. And it sucks because sometimes,
(15:26):
you know, I like spicy food and I eat too
much of it and I have heartburn and it's getting
your bedtime and I need to take my pill, but
I need to some man acid. And if I take
the ant acid, then I gotta wait an hour. It's
like eating a blowny sandwich and having to wait thirty
minutes to swim in the pool.
Speaker 1 (15:41):
Oh dear, oh dear, crazy, I think you're getting off
topic here little bit. She's like ranting.
Speaker 2 (15:50):
My point is talk to your doc. Don't take our
word for it.
Speaker 1 (15:53):
But okay, guys, so he said we bought gum, he's right.
And the the lotion I haven't tried because.
Speaker 2 (16:04):
She would have to touch it.
Speaker 1 (16:05):
Oh my god. Okay, and like problem, no, but serious,
I didn't Obviously I don't want to try everything at once, right,
But the I haven't felt my neck pain right and
my shoulders since I tried the leave and the edible,
so I don't know a combination of both, right. But
(16:29):
next time I feel a little bit of pain, I'm
gonna try this lotion that we bought CBD plus THC
and whatever you call it. So I'm gonna try that.
And we also bought a dropper CBD.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
It's cbd THHG but it's th c A. So there again,
there's supposed to be no you for work effect now
and again when they say th hg A you should
not get high. Take that as you might get high
and obviously, don't do this if you have to drive. Obviously,
when you're taking something new like this, we do it
(17:04):
in the evening, when there's plenty of time to deal
with anything that may come.
Speaker 1 (17:10):
I don't know, but you know what, I asked the guy,
it's just gonna get me high, and he's like, no,
but just keep it in a cool place. Don't let
it get hot because it's going to activate though whatever, right,
And I'm like, oh, maybe that means it's gonna get
me hot. I don't know.
Speaker 2 (17:24):
So it's actually in the refrigerator.
Speaker 1 (17:25):
Yeah. And also I bought what is that a squeezy
beverage ding Barber.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
Yeah, so it's a liquid that you can mix with
water and give it the lime feeling. But it's THHG
as well.
Speaker 1 (17:39):
And I got the lemon lime flavor. I haven't tried
it because you know, I wanted to space everything out
because guys, this stuff is really expensive. So I told Brian,
don't stop it in my gummies.
Speaker 2 (17:51):
Okay, I only had four.
Speaker 1 (17:53):
Four, there's only like ten serious. Just like usual, I go,
I go and reach to I don't know, it's something
or whatever, and it's gone because he already had the
last one. Don't do that this time. I'm gonna get
really upset with you.
Speaker 2 (18:07):
She's waving her finger. I'm scared.
Speaker 1 (18:10):
Yeah, I'll give you a throat punch.
Speaker 2 (18:12):
I'm scared. No. Actually, I had half a gummy that
night with you. The next night, I took one of
the other gummies and I took a full gummy. And
again I was really relaxed, but I wasn't high.
Speaker 1 (18:27):
Yeah, yeah, I mean, guys, I felt good about it.
Uh with my shogrins. I feel like it helped me.
But more importantly, I felt relaxed. Sleep. You know, I
slept with the night two nights in a row. And
one more thing that I got was I don't know
if I already mentioned it, but the dropper. The I
did say that because i've I've had the CBD dropper
(18:52):
that we bought at the at the farmers market. Yeah,
and I liked it. I like the way I just
like the way it makes me feel like it opens
up my airway. I can't explain it, but so anyways,
I can't wait to try this one.
Speaker 2 (19:08):
So you'll get more reports on this, and if you
don't want your showgrin THCHG update, then unsubscribed.
Speaker 1 (19:14):
But I've been meaning to post about it. I've just
you know, I'm still working a lot of hours and
I'm going to school and I got two more months
of school and homework, a lot of homework. So you know,
that's why I've been off of social media. But I
will post a picture of the a lead lotion, and
I will post a picture of all these products that
I bought. And I wanted to talk about one more
(19:37):
product please, This vix vapor inhaler. How does this work?
Because you know how it's been really hot and I
feel like sometimes it gets really hard for me to
breathe because you know, my insights get really dry and
I inhale this I don't know that's the right word,
(19:58):
rights in in healer nasally, Yeah, And so it's like
opens me up? How does it work?
Speaker 2 (20:06):
So it's got the Vics vapor product in it and
there's menthol and it just you get that hot, coolie effect.
Speaker 1 (20:12):
I'm using your word, Juliet, that's right.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
But it does. I think it stimulates the sinuses somehow.
I've I don't want to say, I've always carried one
when I get congested. I always carry one because it
doesn't really loosen anything in your nose, but it just
does help open that airway up and you feel like
you can breathe better through your nose.
Speaker 1 (20:35):
Yeah, I mean it really helps. This roller has a
menthol and camp for Campo. Yeah, so I don't know,
I tried them. They're awesome, all these products that I'm
talking about. So, but if you guys want to go
try the a leave.
Speaker 2 (20:54):
Over the counter. We did get it at Target, but
then we went to a Walmallow a Walmart and bought one.
So you give it to your mother.
Speaker 1 (21:01):
Yeah, so they have it at both places and it
was fourteen ninety nine so and.
Speaker 2 (21:05):
It's like two and a half ounces.
Speaker 1 (21:07):
Yeah, it's awesome.
Speaker 2 (21:08):
Yeah, two point five ounce. And again it's a roller product,
which is kind of cool. Yeah, kind of cool a topical.
Speaker 1 (21:17):
I love it. I love it.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
Hey, in one last thing, some exciting news, Facebook's kind
of jumping on the bandwagon of how cool podcasts are
and on the Shogrin's strong page. On Facebook Mobile only,
you know, there's tabs. You can click the podcast tab
and listen to the show right there in Facebook Mobile only.
(21:39):
They have not rolled it out for desktop yet.
Speaker 1 (21:42):
It's really good. It's a good feature because, you know,
for those that don't know how to subscribe to a
podcast or you know, the app or whatever, you go,
you just go to the page and hit podcasts and
you could choose from all the episodes.
Speaker 2 (21:57):
Yep, all the episodes are populated. And you know, if
there's any other podcast you like that have a Facebook page,
you might want to check. You might be able to
consume that content there definitely, which is kind of cool.
Speaker 1 (22:08):
Before we go, can I share a funny.
Speaker 2 (22:09):
Story I would love? Will it make me laugh?
Speaker 1 (22:12):
Oh my god, it's gonna crack you up. You're gonna
be rolling on the door.
Speaker 2 (22:15):
Oh is this the ow?
Speaker 1 (22:19):
Oh my god? Okay, check it out. So I go.
I go to work at seven thirty and I actually
have the key, so I actually open up if I'm
there before my boss. So, uh, it's being another girl
and he's always guys be very careful wait for each other,
don't you know. I don't want anybody to go inside
(22:39):
without the other. So we we kind of wait for
each other. So we are in there. We are in
there for about I don't know, ten minutes, and then
we start hearing this tapping like metal banging, right on
(23:02):
the roof, like footsteps. I could hear somebody walking on
the roof. And it was first it was light footsteps, right,
and then it got they got heavier and the banging
clacky clanging and metal to metal like they were destroying stuff. Right,
And I'm like, somebody on the roof causing damage, messing
with the air conditioning and maybe trying to steal a copper.
(23:23):
I don't know. I've just started thinking all these things, right,
and I'm like, man, what is somebody foster the roof?
You know, you see stuff on TV? So guess what
I did?
Speaker 2 (23:33):
Would you do?
Speaker 1 (23:34):
It was just me and the girl, So you know
what I did. I called. I picked up the phone
and I called nine one one.
Speaker 2 (23:41):
What is your emergency?
Speaker 1 (23:43):
Hi? My name is Slope. I'm calling from SO and
so company, and I think there's somebody on the roof
trying to cause damage.
Speaker 2 (23:52):
You say you think there's somebody on the roof.
Speaker 1 (23:54):
I could hear footsteps and banging and stuff is rolling
like I could hear metal like they're breaking something.
Speaker 2 (24:01):
Do you hear screaming, crying or anything like that. No,
we'll send out an officer.
Speaker 1 (24:07):
Oh okay, so hang up the phone, and the I
could still hear the footsteps. They're actually getting louder and stronger,
and you could hear them running, right. And so then
I go, me and the girl we go to the
front door and we don't want to go outside because
we don't know who's up there. And we see a helicopter. Guys,
(24:33):
the police. They sent a helicopter. I was like, what
is going on? So then the helicopter circles around a
couple of times and it leaves, and I get back
to my desk and I see there's a message. My
phone is blinking, and the lady's like, hello, this is
(24:55):
the police department and just going to let you know
that we rolled out officer, and we sent to helicopters
and you're, okay.
Speaker 2 (25:05):
It's probably birds and the wind.
Speaker 1 (25:14):
I was like, what, it's the birds.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
We don't have the loss of raptors here.
Speaker 1 (25:21):
I'm like, what are you talking about? Are they like
tea daptos or what's up there? Right? I mean, it
sounded really bad, and I'm like, there is no flipping way.
So anyways, I thought, oh my god, I'm gonna get
in trouble. The police and they sent a helicopter am
I gonna get charged for that? So I tell my
boss when he comes in, I mean I actually called
(25:41):
him and he comes and he's like, so, well, what happened?
And I was just so embarrassed, and I was like, oh,
they said it was crows and the wind. So anyways,
now everybody checks on me at seven point thirty and
he's like, so.
Speaker 2 (25:55):
Any birds today, she's now the bird lady.
Speaker 1 (25:59):
I am never ever gonna live that down. Oh my goodness. Anyways,
I thought it was funny. I'm still embarrassed about it.
If it was birds, it was not birds. If it
was people, I'll never know. But the cops said it
was birds. So anyways, that was funny. I hope you
guys cracked up good time. Yesterday in school I told
my teacher and she everybody laughed at me.
Speaker 2 (26:20):
It was funny, you know, if you can't laugh at yourself.
Speaker 1 (26:24):
Yes before we go, I did want to give a

Everything's gonna be okay. Someday will be harder than others,

Speaker 1 (27:14):
Everybody appreciate you all. And until next time, sip constantly
and stay hydrated.
